Everybody knows about Tempest Shadow and her attack on Canterlot, but not many know of her apprentice. After a tragic mistake, he finds himself on a quest. Starry Emerald was just an ordinary pony in Ponyville.
All anypony knows is that he is the edgiest pony they've ever met. All he knows is that he is lost. When he finds himself in the middle of the chaos in Canterlot, with storm guards rounding up ponies and locking them up, he knows he has to get away. Unwittingly saving one pony from the mess, Edgy begins an adventure that he and Starry will never forget.
