[AppleBloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo]
CUTIE MARKS!
All of the ponies in the area gathered to the front of the Cutie Mark Crusaders clubhouse to take a picture. The mane six were at the back, Spike was to the side, and the schoolhouse students were at the other side with Ms. Cheerilee. In the center were the Cutie Mark Crusaders, AppleBloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo. Surprisingly, Button Mash is to their side, behind Sweetie Belle.
*FLASH*
After the flash went away, Spike took the photo and sent it off to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Button was a little disappointed that he didn't have a Cutie Mark, though he did have the idea earlier to visit the clubhouse to get help from the fillies, but changed his mind. Now he changed his mind again, he wants a Cutie Mark already!
”Why do I have to be the last ones to get a Cutie Mark....." Button thought with a frown. Sweetie Belle looked at Button Mash with a concerned look, noticing that face he made, one that only happened whenever he lost a game on his joyboy.
"Psssshh, girls" Sweetie Belle whispered to AppleBloom and Scootaloo. The two fillies looked at Sweetie Belle with a smile.
"Ya, Sweetie Belle?" said AppleBloom. Button Mash wasn't listening what they were saying, as he was thinking of what to do for the rest of the day.
"We should help Button find his Cutie Mark! He can be the first one to get it with our help!" Sweetie Belle whispered happily.
"Hmmm, well we need to-" Before AppleBloom could finish, Twilight headed to the front to congratulate the CMC again. And with that done, she turned to adress the crowd.
"Well it's been a really interesting day for all of us, but now it's time to go, everypony." Twilight said as she herself turned around and headed back with Spike to their house.
"Actually, let's meet tonight at 7pm at the clubhouse to plan." AppleBloom whispered quietly. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle nodded, then the three looked at Button Mash for a second before heading off to their houses.
The rest of the mane six and the students returned to their homes, including Button. When he arrived back home, he pretended to be happy as he sees his mom in the kitchen preparing for lunch.
"Oh, hey mom! What kind of food did you got today?!" Button jumps on the seat in excitement. Love Tap turns around and put some PB&J sandwiches on the table.
"Enjoy Button, I kind of made it quickly due to a stop at the post office today. So how was school?" Love tap said happily.
"School? Didn’t you hear the news?! Sweetie Belle, AppleBloom and Scootaloo got their Cutie Marks today!" Button said in excitement. Love Tap eyes widened as she remembers.
"Oh, that! I passed by the center today while heading back home! It was a fun day for all the students wasn't it?" She said.
"Yeah! And I was there to witness it with my friends in school!” Bullies are not friends, they'll pay of what they did to my Propeller Hat! Said Button in joy while adding the last part in his mind.
"How wonderful. Do you have a picture of the moment they got it?" Love Tap asked.
"Well not exactly, we took the picture, but then Spike sent it off to Princess Celestia and Luna..." Said Button then shakes his head.
"Well hopefully they will release it in the public so we can have a copy of it." Love Tap said in disappointment.
Button agreed with that.
A few hours later, at the Cutie Mark Crusaders tree/clubhouse, the three members were thinking how to get Button’s Cutie Mark.
"Any plans you two? Cus’ ah don't have any." AppleBloom said.
"The only thing that could work is Video Game mastering! Or homework mastering!... Actually maybe not the second one." Said Sweetie Belle with a frown at the end.
"I think he needs protection mastering or guarding. At least he is good at the 2 things, Video Games and homework… Somehow.” Scootaloo added her two bits.
"Ah don't think Protection and Guarding are really good, earlier today you saw what Diamond Tiara did to his hat..." AppleBloom said with a shake of her head.
FLASHBACK
A gasp was heard.
"My hat! You monster!"
END OF FLASHBACK
"Yeah, I think you're right AppleBloom... Gaming and Homework mastering are the only two things that might work then!" Sweetie Belle said with a nod.
"Do you think Homework mastering will work? He has a low C while we have straight A’s." Scootaloo noticed the others staring at her. “Fiiine, YOU have straight A’s…” She finished with a huff.
"We can help him, I know we can do it! He will definitely get his Cutie Mark!" Sweetie Belle said happily. The other two nodded and headed back to their houses as the day ended.
A week later, it was time for the Crusaders to find Button. Though it was the weekend, he might be in the center of Ponyville playing at the Arcades. Sweetie Belle always knew Button loved arcade games, so it was were they went to look for him.
"Come on girls, we gotta find him quickly! We only have until midday!" Apple Bloom said in a hurry.
"I know he's in here somewhere, there's always Arcades around here!" Sweetie Belle was panting slightly, she wasn't really that athletic like her friends.
"It's going to take a long time, a lot of the colts around here look like Button. Well… Except for Rumble, he doesn't look like Button since he is a Pegasus." Scootaloo added.
Meanwhile, Button was on the other side of the way where the Crusaders were searching. He was on the second final level on a really hard game, and by his side were Rumble and Shady Daze.
"Go get them Button! We know you can do this!" Rumble and Shady Daze shouted at the same time.
"I need to focus guys, but that is near impossible with you shouting in my ear!" Button said as he tried to not lose concentration on the game. Rumble and Shady stayed quiet as they watched Button make the last hits on the boss, defeating it and moving on to the next and final level.
"YES! WE DID IT! We only got one more to go until it’s we finish the game!" Button said in joy and excitement. Of course, the three did take turns between each 5 levels to make things fair.
Button’s yell was heard all the way back where the Crusaders were. Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes, knowing it was definitely Button. Scootaloo and AppleBloom looked at each other for confirmation if it was Button or not.
"That was Button’s voice, come on you two! We gotta get to him!" Sweetie Belle said as she dashed off in the direction of Button’s voice.
"Well at least Button didn't scream loud enough to deafean anypony.” Said AppleBloom jokingly. Scootaloo giggled a little, and a short run later, they reached the spot where Button, Shady, and Rumble were.
Rumble turned around as he noticed the Crusaders making their way to them. Shady wasn't paying attention due to Button asking him to keep an eye out for the enemies.
"Uhhh Button? The girls are here..." Rumble nudged Button, trying to get his attention.
Button ignored Rumble as he was about to finish off the final boss.
"Button?"
"Not now Rumble! I need to finish this game, I need that prize on the top!" Button said, his full attention on the screen.
"BUTTON!!!”
"WHAT!?!?"
A game over jingle played as the figure Button controlled lost his last life.
GAME OVER
“WHAT!!!??? No! It can't be! What in the actual-!” Button was about to swear until he turned around and saw the Crusaders make their approach.
"Hey Button!" The trio said happily.
The boys were pretty surprised that the CMC came up to them for apparently something important.

The three colts and fillies looked at each other, Button trying to not look directly at Sweetie Belle and Rumble also averting his gaze from Scootaloo. Shady Daze too tried to not stare at AppleBloom, instead, he looked at the Arcade Machine.
"What do you girls want? We are trying to win a game here..." Rumble groaned.
"We're just here for Button, Rumble." Sweetie Belle said with a little smile as she looked at Button Mash.Rumble rolled his eyes before nudging Shady to get his attention.
"Sooooooo, what do you want from me?" Button said, feeling a little upset that he lost yet another game. "This took us 8 hours this time you know...."
"Oh, sorry Button." AppleBloom said. "We're just here to ask if you want to get your Cutie Mark!"
Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle waited eagerly for Button’s reply. He was deep in thought deciding if he wanted the CMC to help him find his Cutie Mark. Well, he seems to have changed his mind again.
Meanwhile, Rumble and Shady were having a silent chat about the topic.
"So Shady, do you think Cutie Marks are boring?" Rumble said, looking at his and Shady's flanks.
"Yeah... I tried to get my Cutie Mark, when Diamond Tiara was posting those newspapers some months ago..." Shady said as he looked in his bag for the camera. "One day working for her and still no Cutie Mark....."
"I am trying to get my own, but training with Thunderlane is... Well, it's not the best idea." Rumble grumbled as he looks at the sky. "I say Cutie Marks are boring as hay."
"I agree! We should talk more about it soon, though not here were they can hear." Shady whispered before he and Rumble turned back to Button and the CMC.
"Eh, I don't care about that much yet, maybe another day you three." Button said as he turned back to start the game again.
The fillies gasped as they heard Button said ‘I don't care’.
"But you need to get your Cutie Mark, Button!" Scootaloo exclaimed, her and the others crusaders quite shocked. "The future, the Video Games, and something like that!"
"I said another day." Button grumbled, annoyed at Scootaloo. "There's still time until the end of the school year. Maybe close to that date I'll get my Cutie Mark."
"But that's still a long time away! C'mon, we can help you with that right now instead of waiting for the end of the school year!" Sweetie Belle said in an attempt to change Button’s mind. It didn't work.
"Gah, I said later! Why don't you help with these two instead!?" Button pointed his hoof to Rumble and Shady. "Theirs might be easier!"
"No no no, we're perfectly fine like this, thank you very much!" Rumble crossed his hooves with a frown. Shady nodded in agreement.
"Three colts that don't want to get their Cutie Marks…? Now ah have seen everything..." AppleBloom said as she shook her head.
"I better go, I uhhhhh have to go home for dinner!" Button said, backing away before running off. "I'll see you tomorrow at school!" He shouted over his shoulder.
“O-oh, ok then Button!" Sweetie Belle said, still a little surprised by the whole ordeal. She could somehow tell that Button changed his mind again about getting his Cutie Mark, for some reason or another. “Strange..."
The crusaders then stared at the two colts still with them.
"Erm, I better go home too!" Shady said as he also backed away. "Lots of homework! Tomorrow, school and all that jazz!" He gave an unconvincing smile before nudging Rumble.
"Gah, m-me too! Thunderlane is uhhh, training me tonight, hahah… Soseeyatomorrowatschoolthenbye!" Rumble said hastily as both colts turned tail and ran off in Ponyville.
"That's really strange, Rumble and Shady and even Button?" Scootaloo said as she watched the retreating forms of the colts in the distance.
"Looks like this is going to take a while..." AppleBloom said, looking at her fellow crusaders.
On the next morning, everypony was already in class ready to learn, especially the crusaders. Rumble seemed to be the only one absent, strangely. Shady and Button were in class too, but were paying more attention to their camera and joyboy respectively.
"Hmmm, we shall wait for the chance girls. Soon, very soon..." Sweetie Belle let out a creepy giggle as she observed the two colts, mainly Button. The others gave her a look, to which she blushed a little in embarrassment.
As the weeks went by, Rumble, Button and Shady were starting to act more and more strange. Rumble, out of the three was more talkative, bragging about how Cutie Marks are for smaller foals. Button and Shady, they were a little more quiet but acted rude from time to time too.
"Did you see how they changed?" Apple Bloom asked her friends in worry.
"Yeah, we should have helped them when we had the chance." Scootaloo grumbled slightly.
"Button was never like this… He was always so cheerful and funny! But now, less talkative, rude and ragy." Sweetie Belle looked sadly at Button and the other colts.
“Uhm, what the hay is ragy?” AppleBloom asked with a raised eyebrow.
Sweetie Belle shrugged. “He's more prominent to rage about things.”
“Ugh! I hate this dictionary stuff!” Scootaloo said with a facehoof.

Before Creation Comes Destruction
It was a week before the Cutie Mark Camp was scheduled to happen, one could see Button Mash heading to the front door of the schoolhouse after the end of classes to head off with Shady and Rumble. Before they could leave however, Sweetie Belle called him over to the playground. Rumble and Shady shook their heads before glaring at Sweetie Belle.
"What do you want Sweetie Belle, I was about to head off with Shady and Rumble." Button said mildly annoyed, he had a pretty good idea what this was about.
Sweetie Belle shook her head slightly. "It's been months already, Button..." She said. "It's about time for to you get your Cutie Mark, don't you think?”
"Not yet... Just not yet." Button sighed. "And I can't leave Rumble and Shady alone with no Cutie Marks."
"Fine, I guess that's your decision..." Sweetie Belle said in disappointment. "If you need me, I'll be at the clubhouse..."
"Clubhouse... Yeah okay. Ughhh..." Button trotted away and headed off with Rumble and Shady.
"So what were you two talking about anyways?" Shady Daze asked as he looked at Button Mash. "Cutie Marks? Love? Photographs?!"
Button blushed a little and looked away, staring at the very same Arcade Machine he lost in Hearts and Hooves Day.
"Ooooooo! You have a crush on Sweetie Belle!" Shady teased with a laugh as he nudged Button.
"N-No! I don't! We were just talking about... Homework!" Button’s blush intensified as he kept walking.
"Homework? Heh, we shouldn't worry about it too much." Rumble said as he looked up. "What grades do we have right now? A solid B?"
"Actually, a perfect A!" Shady said, happy at their grades. "Well, Button has an A+ ever since we started to ignore Cutie Marks."
"Hmm. Well I'm gonna leave you guys for now. I'm heading out with Thunder for some more training." Rumble said, walking off. "See you guys some other time."
"Bye Rumble!" Shady waved to him.
"Huh? Err, bye Rumble..." Button Mash was distracted in his thoughts, remembering that day on Hearts and Hooves again. "Man it's been almost a year since that day…”
"What day?" Shady asked.
"Hearts and Hooves Day." Button Mash said with a sigh Shade wondered what happened of important that day, but decided to not ask. "Aren't you going to go back to your house Shady Daze?"
"What? Who needs houses! I have a Photograph shop near the Clubhouse!" Said Shady happily.
"What!? When did that happen? Yesterday?!" Button asked with wide eyes.
"Yeah!"
"You’re serious!? I have no words..." Button Mash sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Well I'm going back to my house for some video games. You know, to kick some monsters flank!"
"Hehe, good luck with that Button. I'll see you soon!"
"Yeah, see ya!" Button trotted off to his house while Shady headed to his Photograph shop. "Hmmm... Nah, I'll get my Cutie Mark soon."
Flashback
Almost one year ago, it was Hearts and Hooves Day. A younger Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom were heading to the middle of Ponyville, until Sweetie Belle started to sing

Cheerilee is sweet and kind,
She's the best teacher we could hope for.
The perfect stallion you and I must find
One to really make her heart so-o-oar.

Meanwhile…
Button Mash was on a Arcade Machine. He was currently trying to win the game, and was already on the final boss. Which might be pretty hard, he thought.
Final boss
"Okay, here we go!" Button said as he paid full attention to the screen.
Get Ready!
"I'm ready!" Button moved the controllers for a little bit until.
[Sweetie Belle]
This one's too young...
"Huh?" Button looked away from the screen as he saw Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo heading off into the distance.
GAME OVER
"What?!” Button whipped around and stared in disbelief at the screen. “No! No! NOOOO! SWEETIE BELLE!!!" Button Mash started to cry as he kept staring at the screen. "Six hours wasted!"
Do you want to play again?
"Okay..." Button Mash sniffled before looking at the screen and starting the game all over again.

Marks and Recreation: Mistaken To Come
Weeks passed. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were running out of ideas to help the foals get their Cutie Marks. They did all sorts of things on the inside, but now the challenge is for the outside world. Rumble has been busy with Thunder for the last week and has completely forgot about the plan he was doing with Shady Daze.
Another day was ending in Ponyville. The CMC had just finished with the latest that came seeking help. The number of foals was becoming too much for the three of them to handle.
"Sorry, everypony. We're closing' up shop for today. We'll continue to help you out tomorrow." Apple Bloom said as she opened the door.
"Awwww..." Went the foals as they started to head off to their houses.
When they were gone, Scootaloo turned to her two friends and said. "I don't know if we'll be able to help then all tomorrow. Helping the foals one at a time will take forever…”
AppleBloom sighed. "If only there was a way we could help a whole herd of them at once…”
"Wait, that's it! We'd save a lot of time if spotteduld help each other!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"Just like we used to!” Scootaloo said in realization. “Oh, but it'd have to be somewhere big enough to handle all those foals..."
"Somewhere outside, with tons of activities to try..." Sweetie Belle trailed off.
"Are you two thinkin' what Ah'm thinkin'?" AppleBloom asked as she smiled at the other two.
"Cutie Mark Day Camp!" The three shouted.
"And Ah know just the place, Applejack used to go there when she was little." AppleBloom said.
"Camp Friendship!" Scootaloo shouted then stopped. "Oh. sorry. I thought we were all gonna yell that one too.” She giggled in embarrassment.
The three of them laughed and closed up for the day. They have decided that tomorrow was going to be the start of the Cutie Mark Day Camp, and it sure is going to be a hectic day for the three crusaders.

The next day started as the Cutie Mark Crusaders started up a stand in the middle of Ponyville. Button and Shady were near them playing on their Joyboys.
"Oooooohhh, I'm so going to get you Shady!" Button said, mashing his namesake on his Joyboy.
"Not on my watch!" Shady said as he glared at Button. Though as the two were busy shooting each other with the guns, a random players destroyed them both.
"WHAT? How's that possible! We landed in an area nopony goes and still there is good stuff!" Button said,shaking his own screen.
"Grrrr... I bet it's Strike or Caramel Coffee!" Shady said with a groan.
"Well let's just forget about it for now. But hey, where's Rumble? He's supposed to be around here with us." Button said as he looked around.
"Hmmmm, school did let out early so he must be around... There!" Shady pointed as Rumble passed by the Cutie Mark Day Camp registration.
"Attention, all blank flanks!" AppleBloom said as she looked at the foals around the stand.
"And blank flanks affiliates!" Scootaloo followed up. "Come to our Cutie Mark Day Camp and find out what you're truly good at!"
"Bond with other blank flanks and find out what you're meant to do together!" Finished Sweetie Belle.
"I'm not going to this camp." Shady shook his head. "Are you Button?"
"N-No! I'm not getting my Cutie Mark until much later!" Said Button with wide eyes.
As the two chatted for a little bit, they saw Rumble getting closer to the stand and suddenly looked at the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
"Hey, Rumble!" Scootaloo said as she spotted Rumble.
"Oh, hey Crusaders. Look, i can't stop. I've gotta meet my brother for... something." Rumble said as he stopped for a moment.
"No problem. Just wanted to make sure you heard about our Cutie Mark Day Camp. The first session tomorrow." AppleBloom said with a smile.
Suddenly Thunderlane passed by making a paper be scrunched on the ground.
"What'cha got there, little brother?" Thunder asked Rumble as he landed.
"What? Oh, nothing. Come on! I want to show you a new dive roll I'm practicing.”
*Whoosh*
After a few whooshes, the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders continued to advertise the camp. Button and Shady trotted closer to see Rumble.
"Psss, Rumble!" Shady whispered as he got closer, as well as Button.
"Huh? What do you two want? I'm about to go train with Thunder right now." Rumble said turning to Shady.
"Come one, come all! Cutie Mark Day Camp is for blank flanks of all kinds!" Scootaloo announced in the background.
"We were just wondering if you were alright, it's been almost a week since we last saw you." Button said.
"Well, I just got out of here for a little while, I'm going to go with Thunder."
"Fine..." Button and Shady pretended they left but hid in a bush.
"Hmmm..." Thunder looks up and down.
"Welcome, cutie mark campers!" AppleBloom said as she looked at the foals.
"Who's excited to be here?" Sweetie Belle said happily.
"We are!" The foals said together, except Button, Shady, and Rumble.
"Boring as heck..." Button said quietly.
"You said it..." Shady sighed.
"Well, we're excited too!" Sweetie Belle grinned. "At Cutie Mark Day Camp, you'll be able to try all kinds of things!"
"Kayaking!"
"Horseshoe-tossing!"
"Circle-painting!"
AppleBloom, Scootaloo, and Kettle Corn said to the foals.
"You can try 'em all! But the most important thing is that you'll be tryin' them together." AppleBloom said to the foals.
"That's what worked for us!" Said Scootaloo.
"Then i bet it'll work for these little guys too.” Thunderlane said unexpectedly. All the foals gasped seeing the Wonderbolt in Ponyville.
"Hey, I thought you said we were gonna go practice for the Wonderbolts Ponyville Extravaganza show." Rumble said with a groan.
"I'm going to Wonderbolt practice. You're going to cutie mark practice." Thunderlane said with a grin.

On the next day, it was time for the Cutie Mark Day Camp, and everypony was ready, well, except Rumble. AppleBloom was getting ready to say the first activity, then suddenly a large gust of wind sweeps across the area knocking over another bush that Button and Shady were hiding in.
"Oh crud!" Button said quietly, tough the Crusaders were able to hear him.
"Button and Shady? What are you two doing here?" Sweetie Belle said then gasped. "Are you two finally going to get your Cutie Marks as well?"
"Look, it's not what it looks like!" Button said as he stepped back. "We were just passing by, that's it!"
Suddenly, a large chant of foals started calling out their names.
"Button! Shady! Button! Shady!" The foals said together.
"Grrrrr, fine then... But i bet 100 bits i'm not getting my Cutie Mark the first day Sweetie Belle!" Button said with a groan.
"Huh, then we're glad to have you three!" Sweetie Belle said happily nonetheless.
"Now if you excuse me, i'm going back to training, if not, Spitfire will be mad and fire me." Thunder said before whooshing away.
"The first activity is Horseshoe Toss!" AppleBloom yelled.
The first day of the Cutie Mark Day Camp has just begun. What has Button and Shady gotten themselves into? Whos fault is it to cause this timeline change... I don't know, the writer changes the ideas, not me.

Marks and Recreation: Colts don't want Cutie Marks
"I don't want to…” Said Button. “I like to play on my Joyboy better!" Button said.
"No Joyboy Button, it's a camp remember!" Sweetie Belle said grabbing Button's joyboy.
"Grrrr… (At least I have another one in my bag...)" Button thought, rolling his eyes. "Well this is going to be boring huh Shady?"
"Heh, tell me about it! But I can take pictures of the nature out here anyways, which is the best part!" Shady Daze said, looking at the huge lake.
"Still boring..." Button deadpanned.
"Bored too." Supplied Rumble.
"Come on boys!" Sweetie Belle said to three colts.
"Step on up and show how it's done!" said AppleBloom.
"I'm not doing it, no no no!" Button said stepping back and shaking his head. "I’d rather go on my Joyboy and win some games."
All the campers facehoofed then turned to look at Rumble who was glaring at the activity. Rumble threw the horseshoe but missed.
"Whoops. Aw, it looks like I won't be getting my cutie mark in the horseshoe toss..." Rumble said unenthusiastic.
"Don't worry about it, Rumble." Sweetie Belle said. "Hardly anypony finds their calling on the first try.”
"Eh, I wasn't worried." Said Rumble looking away and waving a hoof in dismissal. The Cutie Mark Crusaders then looked at Button Mash and Shady Daze.
"It's your turn you two!" Said Scootaloo.
"NOPE!" Button said, turning around and hiding inside a tree trunk. "I'm not going, Shady can go in my place!"
"Come on Button!" Scootaloo insisted. “Just give it a try!"
"How about a no!" Button got out of the tree trunk and hid behind a large tree. "I'll uhhh, wait for a few minutes!"
"Something is seriously going on about him not getting his Cutie Mark..." AppleBloom said suspiciously, rubbing her chin with a hoof before turning to her fellow crusaders. "Let's just focus on Shady and Rumble for a bit you two."
"Yes Ma'am!"
"Actually I am just going to take pictures around here for my photo collection and that's enough for me!" Shady said as he took a photo of the small village. "Good view from here!"
"Nevermind, Rumble is the main one to focus." AppleBloom said with a facehoof alongside Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.
After a few seconds of talking, a montage of Rumble, Button, and Shady is beginning. The first activity was Kayaking. All of the campers finished the activity except the three colts.
"Water is not my thing, Ponynite is!" Button said as he looked at the village that held chests somehow.
"Well... Go for it I guess, see what's inside." Shady said as he rolled his eyes. "I'm going back for pictures around here."
SPLASH
"Whoops." Rumble said as the Kayak tipped over.
TWING
"Whoopsie."
THUMP
"Whoops...."
After a few tries, they all tried haiku's, except Button and Shady.
"Whoops, I've tried it all. Time to tell my brother this Camp isn't for me." Rumble said unenthusiastic.
"Come on, Rumble." Scootaloo said looking at Rumble. "Isn't it fun just trying stuff?"
Meanwhile on the other side of the activity were Button and Shady looking at the lake bored to death.
"Somepony end this camp already! I wanna go back to my house and play video games!" Button screamed throwing a pebble into the lake.
"I'd rather be in my Photo Shop taking pictures of ponies..." Shady said to Button with a sigh. "And no, I'm not a creep!"
"I never said you were…” Button said looking at Shady strangely before shaking his head and sighing. “I feel like Cutie Marks have no purpose… We should just tell Rumble we shouldn't be here."
"We better hurry then." Shady said looking at Button before pointing at something. "He's leaving the camp without us!"
"Oh shoot, goodbye camp and eww!" Button said sticking his tongue out at the village.
"RUMBLE, WAIT FOR US!" Button and Shady shouted as the two caught up to Rumble.
"Oh, there you two are!" Rumble said happily before frowning. "This camp is the worst..."
"Ya, it is. I got some good photos though. Hey, where are you going anyways?" Shady asked Rumble.
"Oh I'm going where my big brother is, Wonderbolt Academy!" Rumble said pointing in the direction of the academy.
"Can we at least watch you?" Button said as he looked at Rumble. "This camp is boring and we really want to see you practice at the Wonderbolt training!"
"Well, sure why not." Rumble said as he started flapping his wings. "Follow me, I'll fly slow so you two can catch up!"
"Alright!" Button and Shady said.
"Blank Flanks forever!" The three shouted.
Back at the Cutie Mark Day Camp the first day was wrapping up and Sweetie Belle and AppleBloom were looking for Button Mash and Shady Daze.
"No sign of them, they must have gone off with Rumble..." Sweetie Belle said as she looked to Apple Bloom.
AppleBloom hummed in thought, trying to figure out where Rumble, Button, and Shady could have gone off to. "Maybe the Wonderbolt Academy?"
"Well, Rumble does want to become a Wonderbolt, and Button and Shady might want to watch him instead of getting their Cutie Mark." Sweetie Belle said as she looked at the direction of the Wonderbolt Academy.
"That must be it!" Said AppleBloom. "Let's get Scootaloo and find those three before the sun goes down!"
A few hours later, the three fillies found the area where the colts were. Button and Shady were both looking at Rumble doing some good tricks and moves.
"Gooo Rumble!" Shady shouted.
"At this rate, you might be the youngest Wonderbolt!" Button said as he looked up in awe at Rumble.
"Heh, thanks you two. But I don't think Spitfire would allow that, not until I’m a bit older like Thunder." Rumble said as he landed.
"Hey you three!" Scootaloo shouted from afar.
"Oh no..." The three colts groaned quietly.
"W-What are you all doing here?" Rumble said as he looked at the Crusaders.
"We just wanted to apologize for not finding anything you three liked today." Said Scootaloo.
"Oh. Whatever. It's fine." Rumble said dismissively.
"I'm just on my Joyboy, the only activity I like is hide and seek." Button said.
"And my favorite thing is taking photos." Shady said awkwardly. "My photos..."
"It's not fine. It's frustrating, and we know what it's like." AppleBloom tried to comfort them.
"We're not frustrated!" The three shouted at the Crusaders.
"It's okay! We've all been there." Scootaloo said, oblivious to the fact that they did NOT want help. "But we won't give up on helping you three!"
"We know you three will get your cutie mark! Everpony does." Sweetie Belle said as he looked at Shady and Rumble, then at Button.
"Actually, I don't need your help. Because I don't want to get my cutie mark!" Rumble snapped as he glared at the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
"Same for me! Same old missions everyday!" Button agreed turning away.
"Bleh, boring! I prefer to focus on my photo shop!" Finished Shady.
"WHAT?!" The Cutie Mark Crusaders said in shock as they heard the colts.
"Ah... Ah must have hay in my ears, because Ah thought Ah just heard ya three say-" AppleBloom said as she looked at Rumble, Button and Shady.
"You heard right! I don't want my Cutie Mark!" Rumble said as he moved closer to Button Mash and Shady Daze.
"Me neither! What you three do takes forever for us to get it. I prefer my Joyboy!" Button said as he glared at the Crusaders.
"Ehhh, I got nothing. Just Cutie Marks are not important." Shady said, looking up at the sky and rubbing his chin.
Sweetie Belle gasped as she heard the three. "They said it again!"
"Not wanting a Cutie Mark is like not wanting to breath!" Said a shocked Scootaloo.
"Everypony wants to know what they're meant to do!" Sweetie Belle tried to reason with the three.
"Hmph! Not us!" The three colts said together.
"WHY?!" The three fillies said back.
"Because cutie marks are silly and..... a-and they just force you into one thing your whole life!" Rumble said as he stomped his hooves.
"What's even the real purpose to them?! NOTHING!" Button Mash said with a frown.
"That's silly. Having a cutie mark doesn't mean you can't do other things." Sweetie Belle said as she looked at Button and Rumble.
"Yeah! Our cutie marks are in helpin' other ponies with their cutie marks, but Ah still like making' potions with Zecora." AppleBloom told them.
"And when was the last time you did that?" Rumble and Button asked as the two looked intently at Apple Bloom.
"Um... A-Ah think it was, uh... Well, we've been pretty busy helpin' other ponies lately..." AppleBloom said as she couldn’t make her words come out.
"Oh, you mean doing the thing you got your cutie mark for?" Rumble shouted as he glared. "The thing you're stuck doing for the rest of your life?!"
"Oh yeah! What if we like other things that doesn't make a reference to the Cutie Marks?!" Shady said to the crusaders as he looked away taking pictures.
"Okay. Maybe we will be doing that more than anything else. But we love being Cutie Mark Crusaders!" Sweetie Belle said to Rumble and Shady.
"Well, that's fine for you , but we're not gonna be put in a box!" Rumble said and turned away. "Right you two?!”
"Mmhmm" Button and Shady nodded in agreement.
Then the three trotted away not looking back at the Crusaders, Rumble being the most frustrated and the other two hating Cutie Marks.
"Three blank flanks that don't want a Cutie Mark?" Scootaloo said, turning to her fellow Crusaders. "That's gotta be the strangest thing I've ever heard."
"Granny always says, ‘Some ponies have to find their own hay’." AppleBloom suggested.
"Are you sure she didn't mean ‘Find their own way’?" Scootaloo said.
"Oh. That would make more sense." AppleBloom rubbed the back of her head.
"I still can't believe Rumble, Button, and Shady aren't interested in getting their Cutie Mark either, but we can't force them." Sweetie Belle said as she looked at the direction where the three colts went.
"And we've got a whole camp full of ponies who ARE interested in getting Cutie Marks." Scootaloo said to Sweetie Belle.
"Mmhmm" The three fillies said together.
A little ways away, Rumble is still practicing on his tricks while Button and Shady were on their Joyboys playing Ponynite. However, a certain wonderbolt was coming up behind Rumble.
"Here he comes. The fastest, most elite flyer in Equestria!" Rumble said, oblivious to the new arrival.
"Thunderlane!"
"Whoa!" Rumble yelped as he turned around to see Thunder. "Urgh... I was gonna say me. You're not the only Pegasus in the family, you know."
"Oh, sorry little brother. You're right." Thunderlane said as he looked at Rumble. "You might be the most elite flyer in Equestria someday . But for now, you should try other things, too! Speaking of which, aren't you supposed to be at Camp with Button Mash and Shady Daze?"
"That camp is for losers who can't do anything." Rumble grumbled as he looked at Thunder then to the tree Button and Shady were playing Ponynite on.
"Great, so there's no pressure. You can try anything and not be worried about looking bad." Thunderlane reassured Rumble.
"I'm not worried about that." Rumble signed. "I just don't want to get a cutie mark in any of their ridiculous activities."
“Well, you're still going back tomorrow." Thunderlane said then looked over at Button and Shady. "YOU TWO AS WELL! You can't be a blank flank forever.” Then he flew off for training again with the rest of the Wonderbolts.
"Hmm..." Rumble started thinking of something that might affect the whole camp worse than the original timeline. Because the author took one look at the fourth wall and said ‘I’MMA WRECK IT!!!’. "Hey! Button! Shady! I got a plan to take over the camp tomorrow!”
"Heh, finally we think of something." Button chuckled as he got up and trotted to Rumble.
"Look, this is what we're going to do tomorrow..." Rumble then proceeded to tell the plan to Button and Shady for the next day. The Cutie Mark Day Camp will become the Camp Blank Flanks.

Original Notes: This chapter i had to make Shady and Button speak some of Rumble's line due to them being somewhat silence in the first half of this chapter.

Marks and Recreation: Trouble Starts
What is Rumbles plan along with Button Mash and Shady Daze? A new day, and the day where the plan starts...... Camp Blank Flank comes into mind for Rumble, Button, and Shady. The bell for the second day of the Cutie Mark Day Camp has ended as well.
"All right, cutie mark campers, that's it for jam-making!" Sweetie Belle said.
But this is fun, and I didn't get my cutie mark yet. What if I'm not good at anything else?" Pipsqueak said as he looks at the Crusaders.
You don't get a cutie mark just because you're good at something or even because you like it. There's more to it than that." Scootaloo said to Pipsqueak.
Kettle Corn finished painting a circle Hiaku then turns to to the Pipsqueak, "I'm real good at painting circles, but I got my cutie mark in haikus."
"Which is what I like! But... I'm still a blank flank like you." Skeedaddle said as he turns to Pipsqueak.
"So you can't get a cutie mark in something you like?" Pipsqueak said to Skeedaddle.
"Now, we didn't say that." Apple Bloom said to the three
then suddenly Rumble interupted the conversation as he comes throught the door along with Button Mash and Shady Daze
"Guys, you came back!" Scootaloo said as she turns to the colts.
"Not really....." Button said as he look unsuprised.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Sweetie Belle said as he goes closer to Button. "Are you still deciding wether you want your Cutie Mark or not?"
"Eh, Still boring" Button said unsupriseing again. "You know what i do everyday!"
"Hmm-mm" Shady nods his head then looks at the outside lake before tuning back.
"Say bye-bye to painting circles. You'll be too busy haiku-ing from now on!" Rumble said as he and the two colts pass by the campers.
"But... I like circles!" Kettle Corn said as she frowned.
"Come on Rumble. That's not how cutie marks work." said Apple Bloom as she trots closer.
"So that's how cutie marks work?" Pipsqueak said to Apple Bloom.
"Am I speakin' Olde Ponish?! I just said it wasn't!" Apple Bloom responded to Pipsqueak.
[Rumble]
"Cutie marks are great," they say
"So, no more painting?" Kettle Corn responded to Rumble
"No more Haiku?" Skeedaddle responded as well.
"Rumble, stop! That's just not true!" Sweetie Belle said to Rumble in a surprised face.
"Oh, growup! Cutie Marks have no effect in later life, Blank Flanks shall stay as Blank Flanks!" Button Mash said as he shakes his head at Sweetie Belle.
"You too Button?" Apple Bloom said to Button.
"Yeah, we are Team Blank Flanks!" Button Mash said as he looks away.
"Heh, let us Blank Flanks handle this, not you three fillys!" Shady Daze said as he inturuped the conversation.

Now wait just an apple-pickin' minute, you three. Where do you think you're leadin' our campers?" said Apple Bloom as she looks at mostly at Rumble.
They're not your campers anymore! I'm starting a new camp!" Rumble said as he starts digging a line between the distance of the Crusaders and the foals. "Everypony on this side of the line is in Camp Blank Flanks Forever!"
[Button Mash and Shady Daze]
Blank Flanks Forever!
"Whoa-whoa! You can't be a blank flank forever!" Scootaloo said as she inturupted Rumble, Button, and Shady. Then suddenly the foals behind the three colts gasp as what Scootaloo said.
That's just the kind of talk We'd expect to hear from Camp Cutie Mark!" Rumble said as he glares at Scootaloo. "Which is why blank flanks need a camp where we can enjoy being blank flanks and appreciate our blank flankiness without being pressured to get a cutie mark!"
"Mmmm-Hmm!" Button and Shady nodded their heads as they agree with Rumble.
"Now hold on, everypony." Scootaloo said as she looks at Rumble.
"Nah, go on ahead Rumble let's go!" Shady Daze said as he ignores Scootaloo.
"Blank flanks forever! Blank flanks forever! Blank flanks forever! Blank flanks forever!" Rumble, Button Mash, and Shady Daze heads off into the woods along with the campers to start Camp Blank Flank forever.
"What just happend?" Sweetie Belle said as she looks at foals going into the woods, especially looking at Button Mash.
"Has everypony gone mad ?!" Scootaloo said in shock.
"In a word: yes." Apple Bloom said as she sighs at the sigh they are at.
Rumble, Button, and Shady Daze have token the campers from the Cutie Mark Day Camp, and the Crusaders are at a point of what to do with triple the trouble from the colts.

Editors Note: Sunny wonders if Author is learning. There weren't as much errors in this chapter. But the ones that had were cringy. Sunny is still cringing! Author STOOPID!!!

Total silence from the Cutie Mark Day Camp, just the remaining echos from Rumble, Button, and Shady.
"I just can't see what we did wrong. I thought everypony was having fun." Sweetie Belle sighs as she looks at the direction where the campers are going to.
"They were until that Rumble, Button, and Shady came and made a mess of things. What are they doing now?" said Apple Bloom as she also looks at the forest.
"It looks like whatever they want." Scootaloo said to the two fillys.
"Honestly, it's not all that different from what they were doing here." Sweetie Belle said as she shakes her head.
"Then what was the point?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Point is that Rumble, Button, and Shady are the mad ponies that must be stopped!" Scootaloo said as she wants to go after the three colts.
"Now calm down, Crusaders. We just need to talk to them again. The key is to remain calm." Sweetie Belle said to the two.
After a few minutes, the Crusaders head on the direction where the colts took the remaining campers. Mostly likely a location where it's half boring and half fun due to Button bringing some extra Joyboys.
"Cutie marks... make you... special! " Sweetie Belle yelled to the colts.
"By putting you in a special little box!" Rumble yelled as well.
"Special! " Sweetie Belle yelled again.
"Box! " The three colts yelled as once.
"Come on, Sweetie Belle. I think you've "remained calm" long enough." said Apple Bloom as she moves closer to Sweetie Belle.
When the three fillys get closer, the three spot Kettle Corn covered her Cutie Mark.
"Kettle Corn, you covered your cutie mark?!" Sweetie Belle questioned Kettle Corn.
"Im blank flank again, Keeping my options open. I'm more than haikus." Kettle Corn said to Sweetie Belle.
"You just haiku'd right then!" Sweetie Belle said surprisenly.
"Don't let them get in your head! You're an open-ended question! Blank flanks forever!" Rumble said to Kettle Corn then to the foals.
"Blank Flanks forever!" Button Mash and Shady Daze said.
"Blank Flanks Forever" said the foals as well.

"Blank flanks forever! Blank flanks forever!" Pipsqueak said as Skeedaddle tosed a Horseshoe. "Whoa! You're cracking great!"
"Thanks!" Skeedaddle said then he gasp. "Oh, no! What if I get a cutie mark in it?!"
"Then you'll be stuck doing it forever! Blank flanks, no more potential cutie mark activities!" Rumble said as he looks at Skeedaddle.
"What's even the point in them, when we have Joyboys!" Button said as he brings out more Joyboys.
"Don't they, give you a Cutie Mark?" Skeedaddle asked.
"Nah, only arcade games do it!" said Button Mash said as he turns on his own joyboy.
"Well new rule, Joyboys are alowed......." Rumble stopped for a moment then continues. "I think of anything else that won't get us Cutie Marks!"
"Photograph is one thing Rumble!" Shady Daze said as he takes a picture of the nature around the camp.
"Fine...... that too!" said Rumble as he shakes his head.

"Well, Cutie Mark Day Camp is a bust." said Sweetie Belle.
"No, it isn't! It's a swell idea! We just can't seem to talk any sense into that... thatRumble, Button, and Shady ." Apple Bloom sighs as she doesn't want to say their names.
"Maybe[ i]we can't, but I bet I know somepony who can." Scootaloo said.

After a few hours later, the three fillys head to the Wonderbolt academy to tell Thunderlane the news of what happend with Rumble, Button Mash, and Shady Daze.
"Lemme get this straight. My little brother and his friends up-ended yourentire camp? How in Equestria did he do that?" Thunderlane asked the Crusaders.
"Well," Sweetie Belle inhales a big breath then speaks as fast as she could. "it started when they couldn't toss a horseshoe or paddle a kayak or shoot an arrow or use a pencil, and we felt bad that ther weren't good at anything, but now the three won't want a cutie mark at all because the're afraid they'll get stuck doing something they won't like forever, you know?"
"No, I don't. Rumble and his friends ae good at all that stuff." Thunderlane said to Sweetie Belle.
"Well, that doesn't make a lick of sense. Unless... they were bein' bad at stuff on purpose!" Apple Bloom said as she figured it out.
Thunderlane sighs as he knows what Rumble was going to do, "I was afraid of this..."
"Afraid of what?" Scootaloo asked.
"Ever since I became a Wonderbolt, Rumble's either watching me or trying to fly like me. He won't do anything else. That's why I thought your camp was such a good idea." Thunderlane said to the three filly's
"Then what about Button and Shady?" Sweetie Belle said to Thundelane.
"Huh? I dunno. Probably their parents know....... mostly Lovetap maybe!" Thunderlane rolls his eyes.
"I don't understand. If Rumble wants to be a Wonderbolt someday, what's wrong with that?" asked Scootaloo.
"Not a thing. But right now, he isn't even giving anything else a chance." Thunderlane said to the Scootaloo.
"Sounds to me like Rumble, Button, and Shady aren't afraid of bein' put in a box at all." Apple Bloom said to the two fillys.
"It doesn't?" Sweetie Belle said.
"Nope. I think Rumble, Button, and Shady already picked out a box. The're afraid they'll get a cutie mark that'll keep them from it." Apple Bloom said as she though of a plan.

Camp Blank Flank is a bit more active due to Shady's and Button's activity. The colts are getting a lot of attention with the activities.
"I don't know how to say this, Rumble, but Blank Flank Forever Camp is kinda..." Pipsqueak stopped as Skeedaddle finished his sectence.
"Boring?"
"No, not that. A little fun but not that fun then Camp Cutie Mark." Pipsqueak said to Skeedaddle.
"Heh, i though you were going to say boring too, buuut, i'm alright with that!" Rumble said as he stops to see the Crusades and Thunderlane getting closer to the Camp.
"Huoh, this means that this camp is going overboard!" Shady Daze said to Rumble.
"Shoot....." Rumble said quietly then looks at Button and Shady. "Look, i know what he is going to do..... let's escape when he have the chance and get back to Ponyville.
"Good plan, and looks like we might have Pip and Skeedaddle with us as well!" Button Mash said as he looks as Scootaloo is about to speak.
"Attention, blank flanks of Cutie Mark Day Camp!" Scootaloo said to the foals.
"The Cutie Mark Crusaders are pleased to announce today's special guest – Thunderlane!" Sweetie Belle shouted.
Whoosh
"Hey, everypony! It's me!" Thunderlane appears from flying.
"Anypony who's interested, gather 'round for a day of activities with a genuine Wonderbolt!" Apple Bloom said to the campers.
"Uh, sorry, Rumble. But cutie mark or not, I'm not missing out on this!" Skeedaddle said to Rumble.
"Bad plan, retreat is the only option!" Button Mash said as he has a plan.
"What's the plan, small smoke bombs?" Rumble asked Button.
"Huh, yeah....." Button saif as he waits for the oportunity.
"I know this trick what they're going to do, so much to convince us to go back with them." Rumble said as he shakes his head. "We aren't afraid of Cutie Marks, right?"
"No sir! We aren't afraid of them." The two colts said as they watch what the Crusaders doing.
"Come on you three come join us!" Apple Bloom said to the three colts. "It's going to be fun watching Thunderlane!"
"Yeah! Come join us, also maybe you can fly with Thunderlane, Rumble!" Sweetie Belle said to Rumble.
"How about NO!" Rumble yelled. "NOW BUTTON!"
"Roger! Let's hope this work-" Buton Mash said as the Smoke bomb covers a half a mile radius.
"WHAT?" The Crusaders and Thunderlane said in shock.
"We aren't afraid of Cutie Marks! You though of us wrong!" The three colts yelled as they run away from the smoke.
"Get back here!" Thunderlane shouted as he and the Crusaders can't see anything.
"This can't be happening!" Scootaloo said as the smoke starts to fade. "W-We though we had them!"
"Where did they go? The only..... way is Camp Cutie Mark, then back to Ponyville!" said Sweetie Belle as she turns to the only direction the colts went to.
"There's no way to catch up to them, Rumble and his buddies are really fast and will take forever." Thunderlane said as he shakes his head.
"Now what are we gonna do?" Apple Bloom said as she looks up at the sky as it's almost sunset.
As the chapter closes, it didn't end well for the Crusaders. What is Rumble, Button, and Shady's real problem with Cutie Marks, or do they not have a reason?
