HIS EYES GLITTERED AS HE SAT PEACEFULLY UPON THE MOON TURF. The powdery dust of ancient rock and asteroid sprinkles mixing into the silvery coat, adding a bit of a gray speckle to the hind end of the pony. He never could get enough of the planet that he orbited. The blue edge of the tinted atmosphere, clouds swirling with large, brewing storms controlled and created by the inhabitants of the world seemingly below him. Land hilly and green, High and gray, capped by white. Massive lines of a wall built millennia ago to stop invaders. Cities aglow with lights of it's great, comforted ponies. Oh, what beauty must have been missed by the great, and now lovely, Princess Luna, the Manipulator of the Night. Oh, what beauty was never seen by the very princess who raised the great star, the greatest giver of life since life itself began.
Oh, but what was lost was once again found, as glory and magnificence filled the non-existent atmosphere. He stood, shaking himself off, mostly his hind-end as it was coated in the dust that was most surely going to end him some day. Luckily, his name was never going to let him down, if it was truly reflective of his own capabilities. For he, and he alone, had no marking establishing a static destiny. He was a rare, most rare indeed, Anonymous One. He couldn't talk until he made it home, but that wouldn't matter. He was the most amazing pony after all, right? The one and only pony capable of doing anything he wanted, because he was good at all things. So that definitely meant that he didn't have to head back to his Super Special Space of Safety too fast, now did it?
Of course, he didn't have to get back unless he was dying, but maybe the all remembering, the unfeeling, most glorious being in existence wanted to get back fast? Oh well, he wanted to take his time today. but there was something off about the planet. His moon must be being studied, he could feel it. He could sense it. It was obvious, so obvious, in fact, that when he looked towards the world, he saw a black spot on the most important place of Oh-So-Beautiful Equestria, the land of love that he loved, signifying a loss of life or power. or it was probably just a big event and no one wanted a light on for?
But something was wrong.
Something was oh so very wrong
The darkness spread, like a set of cells in an incubator. But worse. Swirls and tentacles of blackness, the vantablack darkness that would come from a nightmare. The kind that was to destroy reality. Eventually, the pretty green and blue planet was slowly being eaten up by the most evil thing he has ever seen. His face was filled with the utmost obvious horror as he could do nothing to stop it. As quickly as it was obvious, it was already finished with it's work. the plate was coated in a shroud of blackness, almost making it as dark as space. He almost couldn't see it, but it was obvious with the stars missing from where it was, and the light from the sun making it a ball of black and red. The light refracting off of almost absolutely light absorbing gas molecules, creating a red glow, a crimson hue in the once colourful world.
His thoughts, his heart, everything stopped.
He watched, just hoping that he was going to see something to refresh the feeling of happiness at the sight of the world that was once there. There were a few glimmers, bursts of magic, he learned immediately after they happened, but then it died after what appeared to be a tragic, fast and unseen way to disappear. It was over. He immediately knew that this was what he hoped would never happen. But he was glad, sad and everything in between. At least he lived, but he wished he died. He was sad they're gone, but happy that he survived and is able to maybe make a change to himself and his routines to bring them back.
He was horrified, his mood darkened from the original comedic light that once had filled him. But now, the light is gone. and this is where her needs to figure out what he is gonna do with his life. Because he better be careful. He is now the last pony. Well, he believe, and hopes, because he doesn't want others to know what he feels. he wishes none the same emotions he feels now. He began to speed up, from a slow step after step, to a trot, then a full on sprint. He needed to get back to his place, just before he would be left with nothing. Just before he would leave the rest of pony-kind in the dust trails of his research and discovery.
He quickly made it to where the path of hardened moon turf began, leading straight the Lunar Habitat he used for his living-space, and partial work-space. Well. It was home, work and a restaurant to him. it was like he was at the lab, at the country and at the store all in the same place. But there was no time to describe the perfect place for self-sufficiency. It was not long before the unheard frequencies of space to be ended with quite a nice sound of whoosh. The air made by the Atmosphere Field Projector moved to replace and condense elsewhere. He was very disturbed, his need to check his most recent...'experiment'... Increased.
He made this in case of an emergency, but definitely not something on this level. What he created was mostly for the hung that everyone on surface would go mad from another thousand year reign from discord, rather than the entire and absolute end of ponykind. But what he created would only suffice to fix a loneliness he has had for his whole life on the moon.
It can finally be raised, come to life. It can finally awaken. It was to be a breakthrough in technology, as he was as a matter of fact the first being to create anything that would allow these things to exist... what appeared to be an anthropomorphic deer-like being stepped from the wall. It was short, not too short, but tall enough to rival the ground to hover for a Pegasus on a trip to the general store. It stepped from the wall, a hiss as the massive double-doors of five inch thick nuclear-reinforced glass, capable of withstanding a detonation from a nuclear warhead, tested by the inventor on the Bottom-Side of the moon.
The pony was slightly afraid of the outcome. a deep, an heavy Slavic accent was pushed from the rather intelligent pony, words that express no more of a greeting than an awkward handshake with your ex in front of your mom.
"H-H-H-Hello?" the stutter was obviously just a syndrome or apart of his list of random disorders and self implemented 'disabilities'. it was mostly because he wanted to say that he understood the beings from the very personal level, to which he could understand the heavily burdened autistic ponies, or the mentally damaged savant syndrome sufferers. he has experienced long bouts of mania and long bouts of suicidal intention. never will he ever again go through any of these feelings or states. If this whole world ending business wasn't already scarring and damaging him as he had looked at it.
"Yeah, I guess I'm fine. What about you...?" The being then began to rub where the assumed top of it's cranium would be. it then would look at the Master Engineer before itself, and go wide eyed. "Doctor-!" he was very surprised, to which he dropped to a sort of bow, a knee on the floor, a knee up, his back bent and hind end resting on the lowest leg's calf. his elbow rested next to his head, the top of his antler-nubbed head slightly buried into the crease of said elbow.
He was bowing. Because on this world, the being did not know that the green plant they looked at occasionally was full of intelligent life. he always thought it was just green due to different gasses and elements refracting different colours of light into space.
Here, on this world. The Doctor was King.

Nice to know, isn't it, that even the worst of situations aren't even as bad as watching your world be consumed, and then seemingly deleted from existence, right?
Right?
Also, I would like to note that i mentioned Vantablack as a hue, assuming that you know what vantablack is. i would like to inform that vantablack is the blackest black ever created in history, and i would like to mention it absorbs about 99.965% of all light fed into it, as well as giving everything in front of it an almost cartoonish outline, as if it doesn't exist. vantablack is so dark, that when a light is flashed on a bumpy surface, you cannot whatsoever see the bumps, as it appears to be an error in space time.
Please don't expect this to continue. only expect this to flourish when i have the time and the patience to sit down and write this.
