Lunch

The Girls and Marc sat down sat down at their usual lunch table, the Girls got the school lunch, whereas Marc brought a home-packed lunch, it was a Batman thermos with apple juice in it and a PB and strawberry Jelly sandwich in an Avengers sandwich container.

"So," Marc said casually. "We got new kids."

"Really, what kind?" Sunset asked curiously.

"What do you mean by that?" Velvet asked.

"Well, so far there are 3 categories," Sunset said honestly. "Dazzlings, Velvet Breeze, and Typical new kid."

"What do I fall under?" Marc asked.

"Your a WHOLE new level, Marc," Sunset said.

"So four categories." Sci-Twi corrected.

"Heh, heh," Sunset said as the two locked eyes.

"This may seem awkward," Marc said pulling the two from their thoughts, "but are either of you two bi?"

"Marc!" Sunset snapped.

"No!" Sci-Twi snapped at Marc.

"Just a question," Marc said hastily. "Me, myself. I'm straight."

"Alright, this is getting weird," Rainbow said.

"Ya think?" Velvet asked sarcastically.

"Look, we're getting off track," Rarity said. "What category do these kids fall under, darling?"

"Velvet Breeze," Marc said.

"Oh, why mine?" The ex Assassin asked curiously.

"You'll see," Marc said mysteriously.

Then the new kids walked up and sat down at the free seats and introduced themselves.

'Hey, Velvet.' Marc said telepathically.

'I hate it when you do that.' Velvet thought. 'It's a breach of privacy.'

'Sorry, but can ya do something for me?' Marc requested.

'What?' Velvet thought back.

'Can ya Eagle Vision the new kids?'

'Why can't you?' Velvet asked frustrated.

'Numerous reasons, but numero uno is It would be a bit wonky and impaired.' Marc thought back. 'And no, I can't get drunk, but I can feel drunk, the reason it's impaired 'cause I was chasing a lead about one of my enemies.'

'What happened?' Velvet asked curiously.

'Apple of Eden messing with my head.' Marc answered.

"Oh." Velvet said aloud.

"'Oh', what?" Jim asked.

"Nothing Young Atlas," Marc said shocking Jim, taking him from his current train of thought. Just as Marc planned.

"How....did you know that nickname?" Jim asked, choosing his words carefully.

"Just seems the weight of the world is in your shoulders," Marc said. "So, it only seemed fitting to call you that."

"So," Sci-Twi said trying to change the subject. "I finally watched that show you recommend on Netflix."

"Yeah, me too." Sunset said."What's it called again? Goblinslayers?"

"What? Do you mean Trollhunnters?" Marc asked.

"Yes. I really like Strickler." Sunset said.

"Me too, really cool villain, but I think it's sad that he and Jim are on opposing sides," Sci-Twi said.

"How far are ya?" Marc asked.

"Uh, Angor Rot's invasion of Trollmarket," Sunset said.

"Ah." Marc said. "Angor Management."

"Yeah." Sci-Twi said."Poor Aaaarrrgghh, too bad he turned to stone."

"Holy shish kabob," Jim said shocked at what he heard.

"What is it, Jim?" Miko asked.

"Nothing." Jim lied.

"Oh, we also watched Transformers Prime," Sci-Twi said.

"How far?" Marc asked.

"Uh, The one with that giant ring thing on Cybertron," Sunset answered.

"Oh, fun one," Marc said.

"Yeah, but Megatron is evil, bringing in innocents like that," Sci-Twi said.

"Don't be so quick to judge me." Said a voice.

"Who was that?" Velvet asked.

"Ah, excuse me," Marc said, getting up and walking into the bathroom.

Once inside, he pulled out his phone and placed it flat on his palm. Then a hologram of Megatron appeared, he was crouched down and fighting with his blaster. "Agent Megatron."

"Milord," Megatron said.

"I assume you found the ore?" Marc asked.

"Indeed, pure, unrefined, Godanium ore," Megatron said, then he turned and fired some more shots.

"What's wrong?" Marc asked.

"Local Decepticon cells heard of my turn and have allied themselves with Nebulon."

"Damn, be careful," Marc said.

"Yes, Milord," Megatron said. "May the Light guide you."

"May the Light guide you," Marc responded and hung up.

Then Marc left the bathroom and returned to the lunch table.

"What was that?" Jim asked.

"Business," Marc said. "Strictly speaking, not yours."

"Geez, no need to be rude, Marc," Jack said.

"Sorry, I just have a few secrets I'd rather not share." Marc apologized.

"Hey, we all know how that feels," Raf admitted.

"Exactly," Claire confirmed.

"Anyways, we should go," Marc said. Then the bell rang, and they all got out to their last classes.

Outside the cafe. In Luna's office.

"So, your Vice Principal Luna?" Tempest Shadow asked. She was wearing black sneakers and a red blouse, over it, Tempest wore a leather jacket like Sunset's. Luna was wary when Tempest went into her office. Luna asked Celestia if the Fighters know of her.

And even though Celestia tried to find out, Marc locked high profile info with encryptions only members of the inner circle know to get passed.

But this only made Luna more worried.

"Yes," Luna said trying to hide her fear.

"That's good to know," Tempest said.

"How so?" Luna asked a little fearful.

"No reason," Tempest replied.

"Anyway, I guess for your schedule," Luna said getting an idea. "Homeroom and History with Time Turner, Reading with Mrs. Harshwhinny, Math with Ms. Cheerilee, Lunch, and Science with Mr. Discord, that sound good?"

"I guess," Tempest said shrugging.

"Good, dismissed," Luna said waving Tempest out.

"Guess I'll head to lunch," Tempest said casually.

In the cafe.

"Oh, shit," Marc said getting a splitting headache.

"Marc!!" Rarity exclaimed Marc’s swearing.

"What is it, Marc?" Sunset asked.

"A powerful, evil presence," Marc said. "One I have not felt since...."

"Since when?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Then the front twin doors opened to reveal.....

"Tempest Shadow," Marc said with a snarl.

"Uh, what's wrong, Marc?" Jack asked.

"Nothing." Marc lied, replacing the scow with his usual charming smile and went back to eating.

Tempest got her lunch and walked around, assessing where a suitable place to sit and study The Seven.

In the end, she decided to go to their table and sit down.

'Girls.' Marc thought to the Mane 7 and Velvet Breeze, making them cringe a little. 'I'll space out a bit, stall and distract the new kids the best you can.'

Then as Tempest sat down, a strange feeling over sept her brain. Next thing she knew, she was in her armor and was standing in some sort of void.

It had 4 doors, each different in style.

"Memory doors." Tempest guessed. She turned her head and on the right side (she guessed, cause in a mind, there is no REAL solid direction,) she saw two giant white pillars holding up a golden platform that reads: "Marc's Mind Palace."

Tempest looked inside and saw long rows of bookshelves, she went inside and looked around, curious.

She heard someone walk up behind her and turned around to see who it was.

"Like what you see?" Marc asked scowling.

"I had a feeling this was your mind," Tempest said calmly, yet she was extremely angry.

"Yeah, the plaque outside gives it away," Marc said casually, trying to distract Tempest.

"Why, in The Nine Hells, did you bring me into your gorram MIND?!" Tempest asked in anger.

"Glad you know the limitations of being in someone else's Mind Palace," Marc said with an amused smile.

"Of course," Tempest said, remembering the two's first encounter, Marc did as well. "Why are you doing this?"

"Well, you're a part of a shadow cult and I'm a Fighter," Marc admitted.

Then everything went cold. And the bookshelves locked themselves behind glass.

"A bit overkill, doncha think?" Tempest asked, just a tad impressed.

"I dunno, one can't be too careful around one of the Horsemen." Marc spat in anger.

"Eh, not my fault your too week to use the shadow." Tempest countered.

"My respect and former feelings for you is the ONLY reason you still draw breath, Berrytwist!" Marc said in a calm fury."This, this is over."

Then Marc brought him and Tempest back to the waking world.

"Uh, what just happened?" Miko asked.

"Nunya," Marc said.

The bell rang and they all went to their final classes.

"Goodbye, Yang," Tempest said as her eyes went shadow black for a second.

The girls and Marc left, yet the new kids stayed.

"They're hiding something," Miko observed.

"Indeed." Said familiar a ghostly voice.

"What was that?" Jack asked.

"I dunno," Jim said.

Then the Amulet of Daylight started glowing and started floating out of Jim's pocket.

Then it landed on the floor and out of it came a ghost.

It was a male human with gray hair and a beard. He wore silver armor. He had blue eyes and a nice warm, wise face.

"Hello, Jim Lake. Jr." The man said in a voice Jim new well.

"Merlin?" Jim asked.

"Nice to see you too," Merlin answered.

"Oh, Scrap!" Jack said, catching the wizard's attention.

"Ah, the teenagers from Team Prime," Merlin said.

"Yo, ghost dude knows us," Miko said impressed.

"Indeed, ms. Nadakai."Merlin said. "Primus speaks highly of you three."

"Wait, you know Primus?" Raf asked shocked.

"Indeed," Merlin revealed.

"Whoa." Everyone from team Prime said.

"That seriously epic," Miko said.

"I'm only here to tell you this; I'm not sure if you can trust Marc with your lives, but be wary of Tempest Shadow," Merlin stated. Then his spirit went back into the amulet, leaving everyone with many questions.

After the Trollhunters explained themselves, the Team Prime teens did as well.

"Whoa." Everyone said impressed by each other's backstories.

"Well," Jim said. "Since we're both after the Golden Energy, we should team up."

"I'm down for that," Jack admitted.

"Good, let's go," Jim said as they walked out of the cafe.
