"It was nice having you around, for a few days," Twilight told Carapace. "I know we haven't gotten to know each other very much, but it was nice getting to know you." She leaned over and gave him a hug, then stepped back. "So, where are you planning to go? Thorax's Hive?"

He shook his head. "I'm staying with Queen Chrysalis. She's taking the rest of us and starting a new Hive, since most of us can't stand Thorax and we're not going to change our minds just because we're colorful now."

"Are you sure you guys are ready to start all on your own?" Twilight asked, concerned. "You don't know the first thing about sharing love yet."

"We're still learning, that's for sure. But it's not like Queen Chrysalis is willing to sit around your castle and listen to you lecture about friendship. She hasn't forgiven Starlight yet." He sighed. "She's still stubborn, and more likely to snap at us than praise us, but she's working on it. We all are."

Twilight smiled. "Friendship is never easy. You're not going to be perfect overnight. As long as you're learning, you're doing well. Good luck, Carapace."

"You too, Twilight." With one last brief embrace, he took to the sky.

She watched as he joined Elytra and the rest of the now brightly colored group as they set out to create their new Hive. "Yes, I think they're going to do just fine."
