Ever since Princess Celestia made the revelation that the other members of the Mane 6 can become alicorn princesses, life hasn't exactly been the same. Applejack took it the hardest, of course. How could somepony like her can become an alicorn? Her whole life and destiny has been on her farm, so everything she thought she knew about herself had become so mixed up.

Months later, AJ's dragon friend, Spike, received an urgent message from Ember to help her solve a threat that has been made against her. He asks Twilight and Applejack to accompany him there; inviting AJ because he had thought maybe that a trip can help ease her mind on the whole thing she has been facing.

However, both Spike and Applejack deal with problems of their own: they could slowly be getting an attraction to each other. Will Applejack's life make sense once more, and solve the threat? Or will more conflict rise up that will force her life-changing decision upon her?
