The Universe Trembled

Sunset Shimmer was floating up in the air, with her wings flapping up and down as the rain drizzled down onto the courtyard outside Canterlot High School. Below her, were the students of Canterlot High, and Twilight Sparkle and her new friends. She narrowed her eyes, mainly shutting out whatever it was that Twilight was going on about friendship. But she was mainly looking at the Element of Magic, the crown that resided on top of Twilights head.

It was starting to glow, and it's light spread to the 5 girls that were standing beside her. Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. They were all getting their Elements, as they grew pony ears and tails from their body. Sunset immediately knew what was going to happen. She knew too well what the Elements of Harmony were capable of. They helped get rid of Sombra, leaving no trace of him whatsoever to be found. This lead her to believe that the Elements killed him, which is absurd. Then there was Discord, who is frozen for eternity in the Canterlot Gardens in Equestria.

Equestria... the name made her grit her teeth in anger. At the place as a whole, and her former tutor Princess Celestia. But she held her anger at bay, knowing that soon she would get her chance at payback against Celestia. And what better way to start off by getting rid of the pest in front of her that took what was rightfully hers! Sunset raised both of her hands in front of her as dark magic formed in them. And they were aimed right at the group of 6 in front of her. One she knew there was enough energy to obliterate the group, she fired her magic just as the Elements shot off in her direction.

It was a scene that belonged in a movie. The students and staff were in awe at what was going on, while trying to stay upright from the sheer force that was being exerted from the impact between the two beams. At first, it seemed as if Sunset was winning, and it put a grin on her face. But then, the Element's magic pushed hers back. At first, it was slow, then it started gaining speed. Soon it was hurtling right at Sunset.

Sunset Shimmer looked on in fear, and in desperation used all of her magic to protect herself. This set off a chain reaction, as there was suddenly an explosion where Sunset was. Everyone started to cheer, glad to see Demon Sunset be defeated.

When the smoke cleared, there was a crater in the ground, with a person it. Said person was Sunset Shimmer, and it seemed that she was back to normal. She seemed to be muttering to herself, making incoherent noises and rambling over nonsense. But as Twilight and her friends went down to the crater to check up on Sunset, her ears perked up, and she got up off the ground slowly and grabbed her by the throat.

Twilight was in shock, knowing in her heart that the Elements of Harmony should've worked, only to notice that her crown had faded to gray, and saw a necklace form around Sunset's neck. To her horror, she saw the jewels on her crown along with the rest of the Element's symbols swirl together to form a red and black sun on it. "S-Sunset, w-what are-" She was interrupted by a sudden punch to the gut that took her breath away.

Twilight's friends ran to her aid, only to be blown away to different corners of the crater. Sunset looked into Twilight's eyes, as her wings returned, and her body returned to it's normal light yellow skin color. Her eyes were the same, only the sclera to be a light shade of red. She also had a black jacket that went down to her feet swirling around her. She now also had on knee high gray and red boots, and black pants. Not only that, her tail had come back as well.

"I'm sure you're wondering just how this happened. And to be honest, so am I. But I'm not complaining. As for you, you should crawl back to that hellhole you call home and tell Celestia that judgement day is coming." She started to squeeze Twilight's neck, as the air slowly started to stop coming into Twilight's throat.

Rainbow saw all this happening, and grabbed a rock next to her. She got up, and charged over to Sunset and slammed the rock into Sunset's face, smashing her right eye, as blood started to flow from her eye socket. Sunset dropped Twilight, and she began to crawl away, watching Sunset stand back up straight in horror as blood flowed freely from her eye. "So, you wish to play that game, huh Rainbow? Well, two can play at that game. And let me tell you, I will win."

Rocks started to float up around Rainbow as magic formed in Sunsets hand. Rainbow looked around in slight fear, when suddenly she lurched forward a bit. She looked down at her stomach, and saw several holes in it. Her eyes widened in fear as she looked at the bloody rocks in front of her, and all around her. Her friends, along with the other students gathered around the crater in horror as they watched them pierce and puncture through Rainbow, with the final rock flying right between her eyes, and out the back of her head.

Everyone watched as Rainbow fell onto her knees with blood all over her, and as she fell down onto her face. A few seconds later, a pool of her own blood formed around her. Sunset stared at her nonchalantly, then turned her head back to Twilight. "You've seen a little of what I can do. Now I won't say it again." She held her hand out, and a portal formed underneath Twilight, as she fell through it and watched it close above her and fell down into the Crystal Palace, where the Portal to Earth is. She looked for Spike, and remembered that he's still on Earth.

"Oh Faust..." She cried to herself, and stood up on her hooves and ran as fast as she could towards Princess Celestia's room to tell her what's going to come, and what she had witnessed.

Sunset looked back over at the Students, and saw that Rainbow's friends had drug her out of the rater and were huddled around her. She floated up and out of the crater, and landed back on solid ground. "You know, this could've been so much simpler. No one would've had to die. Hell, she could've lived had she not done what she did." Rarity,, Fluttershy, and Pinkie had tears rolling down their faces as they held their deceased friend. Applejack stood in front of Rainbow, along with the rest of the students and staff, speaking to Sunset without words.

"So you want it to be that way. Oh well. It's not like history will ever remember you." She raised her hand into the air, and a large amount of magical energy formed from it. "You should be praising me right now. Because as of right now, I am your god. And as your god, you all will be the first to be burned in the flames of Eternity, along with the rest of this pathetic world." Sunset flew high up into the air, and when she was above the clouds, she dropped the large magical ball. It dived straight into the ground, and when it made contact, it sank into the ground.

The ones who were still somewhat brave looked into the hole, and jumped back in pain as black flames sprung up from the hole, and was burning them alive. The onlookers cried in fear, and soon the flames started to escape from the hole and spread out in a circular formation.

Sunset watched in amusement as the world, along with every living being on the large ball of dirt and water burned into nothingness. "Hellfire, the hottest flames in existence. Also known as the Flames of Eternity, as it burns till the end of time." She then looked at the necklace around her neck, and studied it. After thirty minutes, and all life ceased to exist under the never ending flames, she discovered why she got this power, and what she's able to do.

"So the demonic magic that was used in it's entirety mixed and corrupted the Harmonic Magic that flows from the Elements of Harmony. The end result, my own magical power was boosted by several thousand times that what it originally was. Not only that, I have the chaotic powers of Discord, the Draining abilities of Tirek, which may come in handy when fighting Celestia. And finally, the shadow manipulation of Sombra. Perhaps I should stay here and practice my new powers. Don't want to head on towards Equestria without learning all we can."

She then looked up towards the sun as it began to set over the horizon. "Fitting. The sun sets on the end of Humanity, and soon, the sun will set over Equestria." She closed her eyes, and a small portion of her magic exploded around her, and manipulated to her will. "Wherever you are, know that nothing will protect you Celestia. Not the Elements, not your Sister, not you, and not even Twilight will stop me from bringing hell down onto Equestria."
