I know Luna's coat is some shade of blue, I just can't identify it.
Also, I don't know why I imagine things is way, but hey, I created the universe they are in, so why not?
And for some reason, my tablet is autocorrecting 'alicorn' to 'alixcorn'.
I didn't even know I knew some words I put in here.
They now have phones in Equestria. And Internet. You're welcome.
Prologue
A navy blue alicorn walked down the hallway of the Castle. She was on her way to the throne room to see her sister. Most ponies stared at the Princess, it was highly unusual to see her out during the day, but most dismissed it. The mare finally reached her destination, and knocked once before opening the heavy pinewood door with her magic. Another alicorn stood there, staring for a moment before looking to her guards.
"Leave us." She commanded. The guards obeyed the command and left.
"Tia. I..." The younger alic1orn trailed off.
"What is it Luna?" Tia asked her sister, stepping down from her throne to get closer to her sister.
"I am going to have a foal." Luna whispered, looking away. Celestia looked at her for a moment, unsure whether or not to believe her. After a minute, she spoke, her voice now as quiet as her sister's.
"How long?" She asked.
"About three months." Luna answered, now looking at her.
Celestia was quiet for a moment, unsure of what to do. She began pacing, Luna watching her sister's every move. This continued for what felt like an eternity,
"Can you handle this?" Celestia finally broke the long silence again.
"Not alone. I need my older sister." Luna said. All Celestia did was nod, which Luna took as her que to leave. She opened the pinewood doors and walked out into the hallway, which was quite large. Luna then headed to her room, where she resided until time for moonrise. Once it was moonrise, she joined her sister outside on a large, open field just outside of the castle.
Celestia began to lower the sun, whilst Luna began to raise the moon. She and Celestia then walked into the castle again, Luna saying goodnight to her sister while Celestia merely nodded at her sister. Luna then headed off for Night Court, which was somewhat busy. She had finally finished when one of her guards came up to her.
"Your Highness." He said. Luna looked at him wearily.
"Yes? What is it?" She asked.
"It is time for court to close." He said. Luna nodded, not having kept track of time.
"Of course." She replied. She slowly walked from the throne room to her own. She wasn't usually this tired after Night Court, but she hadnt slept at all, too worried about her elder sister's lack of response to the fact that she was having a foal. It worried her, but she decided to push it to the back of her mind for now, as she had duties to attend to.
She sighed as she stared up at the seemingly silent sky. Luna, however, knew that the stars actually talked to one another, and that the moon was always listening. She knew this because, she had a connection with the night sky. It told her things nopony else knew, just like the sun did with Celestia.
She suddenly got a craving for some chips. A bag of Cool-Ranch Doritos, in fact. So she got up and went to the kitchen, where she searched until she found what she was looking for. She levitated them down, and went back to her room, where she munched on them as she looked at her phone. She looked up Charmed on Netflix, and began watching it. When the alarm went off, she went to stand outside. Nopony had had nightmares that night. Odd. Usually there would be at least one pony who had one.
Luna just shrugged it off, it was probably a one time thing. Then Celestia came outside and looked at her little sister, who nodded.
Timeskip to after baby is born
Luna lay on her bed, exhausted. She had just spent the last nine hours giving birth to a filly. She didn't regret anything though. She loved her daughter, whom she named, "Violet Taylor Wood" because she had thought it up and it seemed like the only name that fit the filly. Even though there was absolutely nothing violet about her, she figured it complemented the name Taylor, and Wood because she was born near the woods.
In fact, the filly looked like a miniature version of her mother, which made the Princess even happier. Then Celestia came in and looked at the filly. She stared for a moment and said nothing, making Luna apprehensive as to why her sister was acting the way she was. It slightly scared her.
Then Celestia walked out, lowering the sun while raising the moon, as Luna was a bit weak from giving birth, before walking back in.
"I will take over your duties tonight Luna." She said before walking to the throne room. Luna was a bit upset from the way that her sister was acting, then somethign she had been trying to avoid came back into her head. The rumors that had been spread about her was slowly turning everypony against Luna, and she feared that someone would try and bring harm to her little Violet.
She sat there as Violet fell asleep snuggled against her mother. Luna looked down and smiled before falling asleep herself, still troubled.
How about another timeskip?
Luna and Celestia were in a battle, while the guards had taken Violet and had hidden in the woods. The month-old filly was crying for her mother to hold her as her mother was banished. Celestia realized that she had just orphaned her niece, and cried even more than she would have if it had just been here that had lost Luna.
Slowly the guards made their way back to Celestia, who took the still crying foal. She held the filly close as she tried to comfort her, and it worked. The filly soon fell asleep. The guards left, and then Celestia cast a spell on the foal that would keep her a month old until her mom would return. She then took the filly and hid her in the deepest part of the new castle in Canterlot, where she would be safe.
