To Make Whole Again

So, it's been close to a month now since my mother and I have been in Equestria. As it stands, my mother is still in a coma in the hospital. I have been visiting her as often as I can this week. For this should be the week she wakes up. It’s only Wednesday but I can’t wait for her to wake up. Besides I need to be there for her, she has no idea what's in store for her when she wakes up.

Right now I am on my way over to the hospital on this lovely May afternoon. Still can't believe that the weather here is controlled by the pegasi. I am currently standing in front of the hospital doors getting ready to walk in.

As i walk in I am always greeted by the same face i have seen for the past month. Nurse Redheart is always standing there near the front doors waiting for me.

“Your a couple of minutes late Tru.” She said with a smile

“Eh. I took the seinect route.” I replied with a shrug of my shoulders.

“Well I have good news and bad new, come follow me.” She waved her forehoof for me to follow once she turned her back to me. We were walking towards my mother’s room which was near the far back of the hospital.

“Ok, good news first! Your mother is recovering well and may even be awake in the next day or two.” She gave off a certain feeling like she was proud about that. I can't really help but smile at her because of that. They did have nearly next to nothing about humans so I can understand.

“The bad news?” I asked

“She will not be able to do a lot. She will be very weak and therefore will need to stay home and rest up for the time being. She should have enough energy to walk from where I have heard your home is located to the town and back.” She said “But other than that she look to be as healthy as you.”

Yeah they had to use me for all different kinds of test, since I am the only one of my kind here that was in a healthy condition. I hate needles.

“Well that sounds better than I thought it was going to be. I can't thank you guys here enough nor can I think of a good way to repay you guys.”

“Its alright dear besides the Princesses already paid for everything remember.” She said

She was right. After the meet with Princess Celestia She told me that her and Luna were going to help aid me in any way I would ask. Obviously my first and only two thoughts were getting my mother back to full health and getting us home. So she is trying to help us with both of those things.

We reached the room that my mother was sleeping in. Redheart opened the door to the room and we walked in.

“How long are visiting hours?” I asked

“Well, usually they last till about eight o’ clock. But with this kind of a situation I could convince the staff here to let you stay overnight if you would like.”

“Yeah I would like that. Thanks.” I replied

“Your welcome but you will need to go home and get a new set of clothes and your own pillow and blanket. They will probably be a lot more comfortable than these things.”

“Okay” I said nodding my head “I will also have to go and talk with Pinkie about her waking up soon and how I will be with here with her till she wakes up.”

“Okay see back in a little bit” And with that she walked out and closed the door.

I walked up to my mother and held her hand. I will be back soon and I will be waiting right here beside you. Like I said I would. I don’t know if I saw it correctly but I swear I saw a faint little smile on her. So with that I walked out to go get my errands done and over with.

I am currently on my way over towards Sugar Cube Corner to let Pinkie know about my mother awaking soon. Oh and to ask Mr. and Mrs. Cake for some time off to spend time with my mother. Did I mention I work at Sugar Cube Corner with Pinkie? It’s really different baking, I never really thought I would be baking at any time in my life but I digress. Also it's never boring working with Pinkie. She always keeps me smiling while working.

I walked up to Sugar Cube Corner and opened the front door. Pinkie was on the other side of the counter with her back turned to the door.

“Hi and welcome to- oh hey Tru!” She said waving her hoof frantically through the air. “Whatcha doin’?” She asked

“Oh nothing Isabella just came over to let you know that that party you have been planning for a while now? Well you better get ready to execute ‘Operation: Party for two aliens’.” To say that she was happy would be an understatement.

After smiling for a minute she reached under the table and pulled out an army looking helmet and put it on her head. Then as loud as she could she yelled “SIR, YES SIR!!” and ran off towards the back. Her yell got the attention of one of the two other ponies I wanted to meet walking down the stairs.

“What's got her all excited?” Mr. Cake asked me

“I told her that I was told that soon my mother will wake up and she has been planning a party for us for a month now.” I said in a matter of fact tone.

“Yeah that’ll do it” He replied looking down the hall that Pinkie ran down.

“Also I wanted to talk to you guys about that too.” He turned his head back towards me. “I-If it’s not too much trouble, I would like some time off to help my mother. She will wake up soon but she will be very weak and will need help for awhile.”

“I’m sure that will be fine.” he said with a smile.

“Shouldn’t you go and talk it over with Mrs. Cake first?”

“No, I believe she will be more than okay with it.”

“Well thank you both and I will be back to work soon.” I said walking towards the door getting ready to leave.

“Take all the time you need Tru and make sure she gets better.”He said

I walked out the door and towards the hospital but before that I had to make one more stop.

I walked through the main road of the town because I can now. It's nice to walk through the town with all the town's folks not scared of ya anymore. I walked upon the town’s public library and opened the front door and walked right in.

“Hey Twilight! You here!” I called out into the empty room. It took a good minute before I got an answer.

“Tru! It's good to see you again, what can I help you with?” she asked walking down the stairs.

“Woah I show up and you just assume I need your help with something? That's kinda of a low blow in our friendship.” I said holding my hand over my heart.

“Oh…” she said fidgeting where she stands “I-I’m sorry! I-I didn’t mean it.”

“Nah” I said with a wave of my hand “It’s alright, I was just joking anyways.” I grinned, she had the cutest annoyed look on her face. “But I did want to tell and ask of you something. If you don't mind of course.” She calmed down before asking me a question.

“Sure! What is it?”

I am now walking back to the hospital to stay with my mother for the next few nights. I have a bag full of books, snacks, a pillow and a blanket. Now all I need is a tent and were good to go!

I finally reached the hospital after a couple minutes of walking and the sun was already starting to slowly set. When I reached the doors I found Nurse Redheart near the entrance helping another pony. She saw me and just nodded my way. I took that as the ‘All clear’ single and went on towards my mother's room.

I reached the room and unpacked my things. I planned on staying with her until she woke up. I layed down in my makeshift bed on the floor and got ready to sleep for the night.
