Sonic and Discord: Chaos is a Wonderful Thing
What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. The birds were singing, Celestia's sun was shining, and it was a surprisingly peaceful day. There were no villains attacking, no monsters from the Everfree Forest were on the loose, and no disasters were happening in Ponyville.
Most ponies were enjoying the rare uneventful day. There were two unique individuals however who were not enjoying the day quite as much. These individuals were in the crystal castle of Ponyville's local princess, Twilight Sparkle, in the throne room.
One was the Blue Blur himself, Sonic The Hedgehog. The other individual was the Spirit of Chaos, Discord. Both were sitting on one of the thrones surrounding the magical map. Sonic was lounging on the throne with the cloud and rainbow colored lightning bolt on it. Discord was sitting on the throne with three butterflies on it.
Both of them were feeling rather bored with the uneventful day. Sonic wanted some action and wanted to feel the thrill of adventure. While he didn't want anything bad to happen to Ponyville, he wouldn't really mind if something happened tp liven things up.
Discord found normal days like these dreadful. Nothing remarkable happening, weather going through the same routine, and ponies doing the same mundane things. He could never understand how ponies could go through a whole day without changing the law of physics at least once.
While Sonic was thinking of something to do, his eyes widen when he suddenly had an idea. He looked at Discord before saying "Hey Discord!!!"
The draconequus turned his attention from magazine he was reading and towards the hedgehog asking, "What?".
Sonic replied saying,"I got an idea." After seeing Discord's interest raise he continued. "I can turn into Super Sonic using the Chaos Emeralds. I was wondering since your the Spirit of Chaos, if I could use your power to turn Super? Could be useful if we were in a tight situation without the Emeralds to help us."
Discord was actually intrigued by the question. He began thinking about the question. He remembered hearing that Doctor Eggman fellow saying Sonic was the embodiment of chaos in his world. He must admit that idea did make him interested with Sonic. Maybe he could satisfy his curiosity and cause some chaos without getting his friend Fluttershy mad at him.
Discord smirked before exclaiming, "Let's find out!!!" And then he gave a questioning look asking, "Soooo, how do we find out?"
Sonic began thinking, "Well I use the energy of the Chaos Emeralds to turn Super, so maybe I can do the same with you. Maybe by touching yo or something."
Discord gave his eagle talon to Sonic, "Well don't be shy grab on and let's see what happens."
Sonic hesitated for a second before grabbing Discord's talon and began drawing the Chaos energy he felt from Discord into him. Sonic then began to shine causing Discord to shield his eyes. Discord opened his eyes once he heard Sonic talk.
"Sweet it worked!!!", Sonic said glowing in a brilliant shade of gold, with red fiery eyes, quills standing up, and his body floating in the air.
"Everything worked out as planned?" Discord said sounding a bit disappointed. "That's boring. You just look like one of those characters found in one of Spike's manga. Are you sure you don't have just a tiny urge to make it rain chocolate rain?"
Sonic just responded with, "Nope, but I could use some chili dogs though."
Suddenly a rain cloud appeared above him.
Sonic exclaimed, "What?!"
The cloud suddenly rains chili dogs on him.
"So you can cause chaos." Discord said producing a handkerchief to wipe a tear from his eyes. "I'm so proud."
"Sweet!!!" Sonic exclaimed grabbing and eating a chili dog. "I could get used to this."
They suddenly heard a scream outside. Looking outside out of a window they see chili dogs raining all over Ponyville causing the ponies to panic.
"Ahh!!! Raining meat!!! The griffons are dumping meat and chili on us to make us taste better!!!" a pony screamed.
"HEY! THATS SPECIEST!!!!" a griffon named Gilda who happened to be in Ponyville to visit Rainbow Dash roared.
"THIS IS A TRAVESTY!!!!!" Rarity screamed wearing a beautiful new dress she just made getting ruined in the chili dog storm. "I WILL HUNT DOWN WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS CRIME AGAINST FASHION!!!!"
Discord began laughing watching the chaos unfold while Sonic looked on in horror.
"Oh shoot!!! I didn't mean to do that!!! Discord!!! How do I stop it!!!"
"Hmmm? Oh I just snap my fingers to make it go away."
"Ok, sounds easy enough."
Sonic snaps his fingers.... only for a giant chili dog smashes a house.
"AHHHH!!! My house!!!", a pony screamed seeing his house get destroyed.
"Ah!!! I made it worse!!!", Sonic screamed feeling even more guilty.
Discord laughs then say "Ha! And ponies think it's easy handling chaos."
The doors to the throne room suddenly slammed open drawing the attention of the hedgehog and draconequus away from the chaos outside and towards the enraged purple alicorn who just entered the room with a yellow pegasus with her.
"DISCORD!!!", Twilight screamed at the chaos spirit, "What did you do!?!"
"Oh no! You can't blame me this time. This time it was his fault." Discord responded pointing a claw to the floating in the room.
Twilight looked at the hedgehog surprised. "Sonic?! Is what he saying true?"
Sonic scratched his head and laughed awkwardly, " Uhhh, yeah it's true. I used Discord's chaos to turn super, but this never happened when I turned super."
Twilight asked, "Can you do anything to stop it?"
"I'm not sure. I tried to stop it, but I just made it worse.", Sonic responded.
"Well, good luck with that. I think I'll go and try one of those delicious chili dogs." Discord said getting ready to teleport out of the castle.
Sonic stopped him before he could leave, "Wait!!! If I can't stop it than you need to stop it."
Discord regarded him with disinterest, "I don't see why I have to do anything." He produced a nail file for his claws. "I didn't do this, so why should I fix it?"
Fluttershy flew up towards his face and looked at his eyes saying, "No, but Sonic said he used your power to do this, so you are at least partially responsible for this and should help him fix this."
Discord winced at Fluttershy's gaze, "Oh, alright!!!", Discord snapped his talons stopping the storm of chili dogs.
Sonic powered down from his super state, so he didn't cause anymore harm. He looked at the two ponies remorsefully saying, "Sorry guys. I didn't mean for this to happen. I just thought it would be useful to use Discord to turn super if we couldn't find the emeralds for something."
Twilight gave Sonic a sympathetic smile, "We forgive you, but you did create quite the mess. It would probably be a good idea to help clean up the mess."
Sonic awkwardly chuckled, "Heh, yeah that's probably fair."
Fluttershy looked at Discord, "I think you should help him since you helped in creating this mess."
"Ugh, fine." Discord begrudgingly agreed. He then snapped his paws putting him and Sonic in maid outfits. Discord scooped Sonic in an arm exclaiming, "Well pal, let's go cleaning!!!"
Sonic's face turned red with embarrassment espescially with the ponies present snickering at him, "I never agreed to wearing this dress!!!" Before Discord teleported in the middle of Ponyville.

(Note: This is a Sonic and Mlp crossover with nothing really leading up to it. I'm not sure I'll ever make a story that will lead up to it. I just thought it was a fun idea and wanted to write it. Basically in this story Sonic and the ponies already met and became friends.)

This was inspired by a picture I saw that had Sonic use Discord to turn super. It made me think what would happen if Sonic did try to use Discord to go super. I thought it would be boring if everything went perfectly fine, so I made it s Sonic had some of Discord's power and made this little story.
Sonic doesn't have all of Discord's reality warping power, but he would have to be more careful because he can cause a bunch of random events that can happen because of Discord's power.
Like I said this is my first story. Not sure if I'll make another one, but constructive criticism would be appreciated.
