MLP Season 8: Harmony vs Hostility

"I can't… stop it!", Cadance cries as she turns to stone.

"Luna, quick!", Celestia exclaims, looking over at her sister. "Go south! Beyond the Badlands! Seek help from the Queen of the Hippo-"

Celestia was unable to finish as Tempest kicks another orb to the sun princess turning to stone as well. Luna gasps and tries to fly away only to become stone as well.

"How the mighty fallen.", Greed said watching the whole event through the orb. "And it'll cost you greatly."

"Lord Greed!", a trooper said entering Greed's office.

"What do you want?!", Greed asks.

"We are getting calls from Equestria and their neighboring kingdom! From nobles to crime syndicates!"

"So it finally started.", Greed said with a smile. "My buyers have seen how weak these so-called powerful princesses are. If a broken horn unicorn can capture them that easily why can't they? Send my Black Marketeers to Equestria!"

"Yes, sir!", the trooper bows and leave.

"An era has come to an end, but the question is will it truly end or will it start anew?", Greed said. "You better watch out princesses, for there are some powerful ponies in your kingdom and they are making their move."

A purple earth stallion with grey mane and tail and a cutie mark of a snake head kicks a griffon hard to a stack of boxes. A pegasus pony attack from behind, but the purple pony elbows his chest, grabs hold of him and smashes his head through a window.

"You bastard!", an earth pony screams raising his hoof and punch, but the purple stallion catches his punch and starts twisting his foreleg hard. "Who are you?! What did we do?!"

"I'm in a bad mood today... that's all the reason I need.", the purple pony said punching him hard to the nose and slams his body to the wall. The griffon jumps the purple pony, but the stallion easily throws him off to the ground and starts pummeling the griffon's face hard. The stops when the dark purple gem handing on his neck starts glowing. The purple stallion smiles. "So it's finally time! More skulls to crack!"

A light blue pegasus mare with dark blue mane and tail wearing a shadowbolts uniform lands outside a mansion and presses a button. The mansion explodes.

"My client will pay me double for this.", the pegasus mare said with glee before noticing her dark navy blue gem glowing. "The time has come, huh? It's been a while since I last saw Spitfire."

Gold Star was walking across the park, but stops when he sees a young colt crying on a tree.

"Crying won't get you anywhere!", Gold Star said to the crying colt. "So what'll it be, colt? Will you jump down now? Or star there all night?!"

Hearing those words the colt stop crying and jumps. Gold Star catches the colt and smile.

"Good. You're a strong one.", Gold Star said putting the colt to the ground gently. "Don't forget, kid. In the end you can only rely on your own strength."

"Okay! Thanks, mister!", the colt said before running off.

Gold Star smiles happily before noticing a glow from his saddle bag. He opens the bag and pull out a glowing gold gem.

"So that day has finally come."

"My predecessor entrusted me the title of Captain of the Royal Guard, his sword, and Element of Valor, but I can't seem to get them to work.", Shining Armor said staring at the sword and a green gem sitting on his desk. "And what did he mean of a conflict?"

The Element of Valor suddenly glows brightly surprising the unicorn stallion causing him to fall off his chair.

A unicorn mare walks out of the Everfree Forest holding the Alicorn Amulet, while the Elements in the Tree of Harmony glows brightly.

Somewhere in the Unknown a white stallion with a compass rose cutie mark stares at a glowing silver gem on his hoof.

"Something must've happened in Equestria if my gem is glowing like this.", the stallion said. "Guess it's time for my to go home."

The stallion packs up his bag and heads off to Equestria.

"Celestia did it this time!", Chrysalis said in a frustration and annoyance. "Thanks to her the Element War has started!"

"What is the Element War?", Thorax asks.

"The Element War is a battle between the bearers of the Elements of Harmony and the Elements of Hostility.", Ryouma said. "It only happens should should either harmony or hostility in Equestria has been broken and in this case harmony has been broken."

"Why?", Thorax asks in concern fearing for his friends safety.

"It's because Celestia is a poor ruler and the Storm King incident was the last straw. The wrong kind of ponies have seen how a broken horn unicorn easily captured Celestia, Luna, and Cadance. They think the princesses are no threat to their evil schemes. They were kept in line, because they fear the princesses power, but now that fear is gone. Crime and corruption will grow to the point that it'll no long be contained."

"Is there any way to stop it?"

"No, once the war starts there is no going back.", Chrysalis said. "The participants will die in this conflict. The war will end should every single participants from one side perish. Should Harmony win, Equestria will be like it once was before the war. Should Hostility win the there will be death and destruction."

"No...", Thorax said falling to his knees.

"Which side will win? Harmony or Hostility?", Greed wonders looking at six dark gems sitting on his desk. "I might as well add in some more players."

Greed picks up the six gems and leaves his office and enters one of his labs. Inside the lab are six pods.

"Well then Magic, Honesty, Laughter, Generosity, Kindness and Loyalty. You have fought and defeated many powerful foes, but will you defeat them?"

Greed looks at the labels of each pod; Technology, Deception, Stress, Greed, Cruelty, and Betrayal.
