Hellfire: An Eclipse Chapters Special
What? Why am I in highschool again? Oh, Celestia, no. Not again. Not this dream.
I’m walking down the hall with Gilda. I see Billy and his crew tormenting Fluttershy again. Damn, I hate him! I’m about to go to her defense, and maybe buck Billy in the teeth, when I hear a voice. The voice is smooth and strangely cold. I know it well.
“Well, what do we have here?”
I turn my head slightly and see a colt advancing on Billy and his goons. He’s tall, is a fiery orange color, has a long, purple mane with eyes the same color, and he wears a black coat. He’s grinning and his eyes have a glint of cruelty in them. His cutie mark depicts a skull being consumed by flames. His name is Hellfire, aka “The Devil”.
“What?” Billy says, “We’re just having a little fun is all.”
“Oh, I’m sure,” Hellfire replies, “But, you see, fun is supposed to be had on both ends; and I don’t think she’s having any.”
“N-no, um, it’s fine. I’m ok,” Fluttershy manages to say.
“No, you’re not. Now do what you do best and shut up and stay out of the way.”
“What an asshole!” I say to Gilda, “He bullies the people he’s protecting!”
But, no, he’s not; he’s warning Fluttershy that if she keeps that up, she might get hurt if things get ugly. And they do.
“Just what the hell do you think gives you the right to come over here and boss us around?” Billy says to Hellfire. Him and his goons slowly begin to surround the orange pony. “I think somepony needs to be taught a lesson.”
Hellfire’s eyes widen, giving him a crazed expression. “Funny,” he says, “I was thinking the same thing.” Then he teleports right in front of Billy. Or, at least, it looks like he teleports. He moves faster than any eye can follow.
“Damn,” Gilda whispers to me, “He’s probably faster than you.”
I hate to admit it, but she might be right.
What happens next is really weird. Hellfire punches Billy in the stomach. He goes down instantly, hugging his injured gut. He really starts freaking out then. He starts screaming and cussing at Hellfire. Hellfire just shrugs. “Oh, come on, don’t be such a baby. I didn’t even hit you.”
Everything stops. It’s true, Hellfire’s hoof never made contact with Billy’s stomach. The wind pressure alone was all it took to put Billy on his knees.
“Let me put this simply.” Hellfire seems so scary whenever he’s towering over a helpless victim. “If I ever catch you picking on her again, I’m going to be decorating a wall with those guts of yours. Got it?”
Billy staggers to his hooves. He doesn’t say anything. He just picks up his broken pride and leaves.
“Um… uh…” Fluttershy can’t seem to find her voice to thank Hellfire for being her hero.
He turns to her. “What, you’re still here? Move it; get to class.”
I didn’t notice it back then, but his voice and eyes soften as he says those words. I just can’t get over how much of a jerk he is.
Fluttershy picks up her dropped books and papers and runs to her next class. Hellfire turns to me and Gilda. He gets this smug-ass look on his face and says, “See something you like, ladies?”
No! I’m not going to relive what happened next! I have… to… WAKE UP!!!!
Rainbow Dash woke up gasping for breath. She looked around and found that she was back in her bedroom. The same dream had been haunting her for weeks now. She felt tears forming up in her eyes. She hugged her knees to her chest and sat in her bed, crying. It didn’t matter if she relived those memories; she couldn’t change them.
Hellfire was dead, and there was nothing that could change it.
