My Story
Starlight is I
Load Full StoryNext ChapterHello, my name is Starlight and I like magic. My mother used to say I could become a great doctor. I smiled when she said it, and acted pleased, but deep down I wanted more. I'm twenty years of age and four months. That in moons is... Two hundred and forty four moons. I've grown. Positivity. Positivity. Stay positive. Deep breath. Wait, was I even being negative in the first place? As you can see, my thoughts are fleeting. Like friendship. No, not like friendship. They're still my friends. I know that. But I'm not satisfied. I never am. I could talk to Sunset. Yes, I could. But would she understand? And what about my human counterpart? Maybe I could ask her? I could tell her about being a villain. But why am I the villain? Why? I helped those ponies. I gave them equality. They just had to ask and I'd give their cutie-marks back. ASK! ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK! AND AFTER EVERYTHING I DID FOR THEM THEY WERE WILLING TO CALL ME THE BAD GUY, TO PRETEND TO BE THE VICTIM!! I NEVER USED ISOLATION ON ANY OF THEM! ONLY ON TWILIGHT SND HER FRIENDS BECAUSE I KNEW THEY WOULD PUT AN END TO THE PEACE! AND I WAS RIGHT!
Deep breath. Don't lose your temper ON IDIOTS LIKE THEM! No, deep breath, I'm OK. I'm fine. Enough ranting. And it's OK, because I saved everyone from Chrysalis. I was in the right. I was the kind one, the generous one, the loyal one, the honest one, the one who showed them laughter. They aren't worth my time. They aren't, aren't, aren't. They never were.
They were. They really, really, really were. It's OK. Everything's okay. It's just so frustrating that I can't believe my beliefs. But I don't believe it anymore. Life is better with cutie-marks.
I... am alone.
