Chapters “Twilight!”
Twilight Sparkle, a purple unicorn who was very studious, was reading a book as her and her friends were on a picnic near the lake. She was interrupted from it when she heard her friend Pinkie Pie, the pink party earth pony, yelling her name.
“Twilight!”
“Huh? What happened?”
“Duh! What’s happening is that you are reading on a picnic. Again! Come in the water! Even Rarity’s in and she never gets in!”
“Pinkie’s got a point, Darling. You must get your head out of those books. Have a little fun!” the white fashion unicorn, Rarity, replied.
“I know, I know, but it’s just getting to the good part!”
“Put it down!” Pinkie yelled.
Twilight was just about to respond when her book was ripped from her magic aura. She gasped and looked up and growled. A light blue, rainbow maned pegasus flew over her head and held her book.
“Rainbow Dash, give it back!”
“We all decided to go on this picnic to have fun and relax, not for you to get back into one of your books again. Live a little, Twilight!” Rainbow Dash said to her.
A yellow, pink haired pegasus, Fluttershy, flew down from the tree and put a hoof on her friend.
I’ll go in, if you do, Twilight.”
“Same here.” Applejack, the orange country pony added.
“Girls, honestly. Reading is my way of relaxing.”
“You always read.” Rainbow Dash replied.
“Not always!”
“Please, all we see you do is read. Get in the water and we’ll leave you alone for the rest of day to do what you want, which is probably read.”
“Promise?”
“Cross my heart, and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.” they all replied.
She sighed. “Rainbow put my book near the tree, please?”
Rainbow did as she was told and they all looked to Twilight. She huffed and walked backwards. She close her eyes. Her friends swam out of her way as she ran towards the lake. She jumped and cannonballed into the water. Her head popped out of the water and she laughed.
“WOOO!” she laughed.
Her other friends followed suit and they all swam and played in the water. He friends cheered and they splashed and enjoyed the free time that they had. It was rare to have such a relaxing day such as they did. They usually faced danger, weird problems to solve, or just hardly had time to hang out all together. It was fun that was well deserved. It was interrupted by Spike, a small purple baby dragon, that was screaming Twilight’s name. The six decided that it would be only them so Spike stayed behind. They looked over to him and he panted as he halted to a stop.
“Spike? What’s wrong?” Twilight asked.
“I… got… a message… from… Princess Celestia… for you…”
She looked to her friends and got out of the water. She used her magic to take the scroll from Spike. She undid it and read it.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
Princess Luna and I request you and your friends’ presence at the castle as soon as you can. I would tell you in this letter, but it is better explained in person. All I can say now, is that it may result in using the Elements of Harmony once again. Please alert your friends and prepare for at least a weeks stay here in Canterlot. We await your arrival.
~Princess Celestia
Twilight gasped and looked to her friends.
“Girls, we need to go home and pack quickly.”
“What did the Princess say?” Rarity asked.
“She and Princess Luna request our presence and Canterlot and she says we should prepare for at least a weeks stay. It could be urgent!”
Her friends looked to each other and they got out of the water and dried themselves. They began to pack up everything to go home.
“I hope everything’s ok…” Fluttershy said.
“She said we might have to use the elements…”
“Oh no… Are we under attack?”
“I sure hope not…”
The train pulled into the Ponyville station. The doors opened and passengers exited while others entered. The Mane 6 got to the station in time and ran into the train with their bags. The got into their seats and settled.
“So, what do you think it is this time? I mean all the villains we faced are either reformed or gone!” Pinkie said.
“Shush, Pinkie! We don’t want ponies to panic.” Twilight whispered.
“Riiiight.”
The ride went slow and quiet but they soon arrived in Canterlot. The train halted to a stop and they got off. They walked off to the castle and stood in front of the entrance two guards stood in their way, as usual.
“Halt! Who goes there?”
“Twilight Sparkle and my friends were called by Princess Celestia herself.”
“Ah yes, Twilight. You may enter.”
The doors opened and they walked in and made their way to the throne room. The doors were opened and Princess Celestia and Princess Luna sat together in Celestia’s throne. They caught sight of the 6 mares and the baby dragon and they halted their silent whispers to each other. They each bowed as the princesses walked down to greet them.
“Thank you for coming.” Princess Celestia, the eldest white alicorn said.
They rose from their bow and nodded.
“We came as soon as we could. What seems to be the problem?” Twilight asked.
“It seems to be that Equestria may be in grave danger… I don’t know how or even why it’s happening but it is and we need to start preparing as soon as we can. I had a dream… or a vision, as my sister said it was. Equestria was buried in snow and harsh winds and snow blew across the land. This was no act of Pegasi, for it was much stronger than usual…”
“Still not getting the point…” Rainbow Dash said.
“Rainbow! Manners.” Twilight said to her.
“It’s alright. Yes, to get to the point, this is a force that you girls have faced before and not too long ago it was.”
“Is it Discord??” Pinkie asked and gasped loudly.
“No of course not, Discord is reformed, right Princess Celestia?” Fluttershy said, almost asking.
“Yes, Discord is… reformed so it isn’t him. It’s something more dangerous. Sombra has returned.”
“King Sombra? But I thought the Crystal Heart and it’s power got rid of him for good!” Twilight said.
“It seems that somehow he has been regenerated, or even, that is what is happening at this very moment. I don’t think the Heart has destroyed every last part of him. Something has been spared and it is causing his regeneration.” Princess Luna, the youngest dark blue alicorn replied.
“Did you bring the Elements, Twilight?”
“I did, Princesses.”
Twilight unzipped her suitcase and used her magic taking out a box. She opened it and inside layed 5 necklaces and 1 crown. They each had a stone that looked like their owners cutie mark.
“Very good, Twilight, We feel that these would be very helpful in defeating Sombra completely.”
“Oh, he’ll be gone after we’re done with him!” Rainbow said with confidence. “He doesn’t know the power of Friendship yet!”
“Let’s hope that it works. You girls are Equestria’s only hope.” Celestia said to them.
~Meanwhile~
“Are you sure?”
“I have seen what those little charms of their can do. You cannot win unless you take each of them down.”
“They are just pathetic mares. How can six little ponies stop a force such as me?”
“Those ponies are more than you think they are. You cannot underestimate them just because of how harmless they look. Those charms of theirs can defeat you if you are careless. Join me and we will be unstoppable.”
“How can I trust you?”
“Because I have an army at my disposal and at this moment, they aren’t even aware of the idea of the both of us even coming for them. Come on, join me and I shall offer my army to your disposal.”
“What is it that you want?”
“I want to get rid of those six and offer a better life for my subjects. That is all I desire. I want Equestria. I can help you.”
“It’s a deal.”

I know it's short, but I promise more interesting things will happen. Well, interesting things to some. I may not be the best writer, but I'm am practicing. I'm trying. I hope you like this chapter and I will back with another one next week. This one came earlier but I wanted to get this out. Thank you for those who are already leaving opinions whether it be in comments or just by liking or disliking. I see that some of you already dislike this so I will try my best to capture your attention in this story. Again, thank you and I will see you all in the next chapter next week
The train ride was long, but it was longer than usual. The train seemed to go slower than normal. The train suddenly halted to a stop and that’s when ponies bagan to freak out. The train had stopped where no land surrounded it. The magic tracks beneath it was the only support the train had. The conductor had come on the loudspeaker.
“Attention, passengers. We seem to be having a few problems but we are looking into them as we speak. Do not panic, for we have everything under control. Thank you.”
Twilight looked outside for anything. They seemed very close to actual land, and that’s when she got an idea.
“Everypony, Listen up!” she said to the very scared passengers.
Many began to nod. Some looked frightened at what her plan may be.
“I need all unicorn together please!”
The ponies looked to one another and one raised their hand.
“How can we trust you?”
“Does any other pony have a plan to help us?” she said angrily.
The unicorn ponies began getting together as she had asked.
“Good. I need the pegasus on my other side please!”
Nopony knew what she was planning but they knew that she had something and they just need to get some hope. They needed to get off that train.
“Now, the earth ponies will be our eyes around. You will stay in the train and make sure the young and elder passengers are safe. You will also alert us if any trouble seems to take place, understand?”
The earth ponies nodded and she began to give orders.
“Each pegasus will pair up with a unicorn and that will be your partner. I want the earth ponies to open all the windows completely”
“What are you trying to do, kid?? Do you even know what you are doing?” a unicorn colt asked angrily.
“Yes I know what I am doing. Now, If you were smart, you would have already caught on to my plan and would actually go along with it. Now, be smart, and do what you were told!”
They did as were told and looked to her for further instructions.
“I want each pegasus to grab your partner and carry them outside, now. Make sure they don’t fall because unicorn cannot fly like you.”
That made a laugh break through them. Soon all unicorn and pegasus passengers were off. Twilight asked Rainbow Dash to carry her out as well. She looked around to them and confidence grew in herself.
Now, Unicorns, use your magic to get the wheels moving forward! Work together everypony!”
Each unicorn lit up their horns and each took a wheel. The wheels refused to move. They struggled but soon they started to move. Slowly, but they were making progress. The train was getting closer to land. A breeze of cold air hit them sending shivers up their spine, it did not stop them. They were determined to get the train and it’s passengers to safety.
“Keep… it… moving!!!” Twilight encouraged.
A low and deep cackle broke its way into their ears and fear struck into their hearts. The ponies stopped and looked around. Twilight gasped.
“No! Keep this train moving, ponies! We’re almost to safety!”
“I found you, little ponies.” the deep voice said.
Twilight and the rest of the unicorn struggled again to keep the train moving, attempting to go faster. Suddenly, Twilight’s cutie mark began to glow and her eyes glowed white. Rainbow Dash looked to their other friends.
“Um, I don’t think that’s normal!”
Twilight’s horn glowed stronger and her magic took over the entire train moving it completely onto land. The other unicorn were baffled and shocked, almost scared at this sudden surge of power that escaped the purple unicorn. Struggling noises came from Twilight as used her magic around her self and carried herself away from Rainbow Dash and towards the sound. Magic beams shot from her horn and towards the dark shadow that started to grow.
“TWILIGHT! NO!” her friends called after her.
Both Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash flew after her and pulled her away. Her eyes became normal and her horn dimmed. Her cutie mark no longer glowed and she fell out of the sky. Her two friends caught her and carried her off back to safety. The shadow grunted and fleed shortly after. Rainbow and Fluttershy laid her on the ground. Her eyes opened and she looked around to see that ponies were surrounding her with concern and fear in their eyes.
“W-What happened? Are we safe?”
“Whoa, whoa, wait. You mean to say that wasn’t you??” Rainbow Dash yelled.
“What wasn’t me?”
“That surge of energy! You carried the train back to safety by yourself!”
She looked around and saw the train was safely back on land.
“I-I did that?”
“Yup.”
She got up and shook her head.
“I- I’ll write the Princess. Since everypony is safe I encourage you all to get to the safety of your homes in Ponyville. If you do not live in Ponyville, go there and seek shelter immediately!” she said to them all.
They all nodded and made their way to Ponyville, which wasn’t that far away. Twilight looked to her friends. They looked concerned.
“Has that happened to you before?” Rarity asked.
“The only time I can actually recall a surge of power was in my entrance exam to Canterlot School for Gifted Unicorns…That was years ago...”
“Well, you’ll have to write to the Princess on that and tell her about what happened. I think that was King Sombra that we encountered.” Applejack told her.
“Me too. The battle is about to begin.”
Dear Princess Celestia,
I am writing you to inform you that I and my friends have, in fact, arrived home safely. However, we encounter a situation on the train that will ensure that the time to be ready had come. Our train had some difficulties, and as we were getting the train to safety, King Sombra had approached. He is most likely near Canterlot now, so prepare quickly. We have the Elements of Harmony and will find to make it back to Canterlot as fast as we can.
Your Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle
The letter was written and Spike sent it as soon as it was finished. She and her friends were in her library. She opened her suitcase and took out the box with the Elements. She opened it and she passed each of them their elements. (In case, you have no idea what the elements are, they are stones that can bring peace to Equestria. We have Honesty, Laughter, Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty, and Magic.)
“Now we have a big problem. The train isn’t fixed. How will we get to Canterlot?” Spike asked.
“I can use my teleportation spell.”
“Um, Is that safe? I mean for you to teleport us all at once…”
“It’s safe, Spike. Come on, everypony. Come close.”
They all huddled together and she lit her horn. Struggle showed in her but she managed to teleport all of them at once. They appeared in front of the castle but a cold wind knocked them off their feet. Snow was falling from the sky and harshly. Doors to the homes in Canterlot were shut tight. And it seemed almost isolated. A dark laugh broke through the sound of the wind.
“I’m glad you could join us so quickly, little fillies.”
“And I’m glad you're here so we can get rid of you!” Rainbow snapped.
“Ah, you know, maybe I should keep you around for a little bit. You could add some humour into this.”
“I’ll show you humour!” Rainbow yelled.
She tried to fly up to the shadow but was held back when Applejack grabbed her tail to stop her.
“I may have been easy to stop before, but this time, I have a force that you cannot stand a chance against.”
The sky became dark and they could hear the loud sound of winged creatures coming closer.
“Oh no, don’t let it be…”
“Don’t let it be ME?”
A tall black mare, a changeling, stood in their way. Her mane was seaweed green and her legs and hair had holes in it. An army of changelings almost the same landed behind her. She walked up to Twilight and lifted her head just make Twilight look at her. She grinned and chuckled.
“You didn’t think I forgot about you, did you? The one who ruined MY plan? I can see that you didn’t just mess up just mines either. Didn’t your parents ever teach you to never interfere with forces you don’t understand?”
Twilight did not answer. She glared at the mare.
“Oh, you're mad, aren’t you? Now you understand how I feel.” she snapped.
“Come on! Let’s blow them to pieces!” Rainbow yelled.
She closed her eyes and their elements glowed. The mare, Queen Chrysalis cackled.
“Try doing that without your precious elements!!”
As is on cue, their elements were ripped from their necks. Changeling soldiers threw them to their queen and she shot a beam of magic to them and they broke to pieces. Twilight gasped and her element dimmed completely. The queen went to snatch her element and as a last resort, Twilight turned around and kicked her back legs into her face. The queen shot back and hissed.
“Minions!!”
The army of Changelings charged towards the fleeing ponies.
“Run, girls, run!!!” she yelled to her friends.
They ran and Twilight ran to where the shards of the elements landed. She gathered the shards and put them in her bag. She ran after her friends. She ran into an alley and hid. She panted and looked to her friends.
“I think we’re safe here for now.”
“Yeah, I think so. We’re safe but you’re not.” Applejack said to her.
“What? Oh no…”
Her friends before her turned back into changeling soldiers. Twilight gasped. She went into a fight stance.
“Where are my friends??”
“They’re being taken into the castle where your precious Princesses are.”
“No! STAY BACK!” Twilight lit her horn and began shooting laser beams at them. After one go hit, they looked at each other and fled. Twilight breathed angrily and began to make her way towards the castle. She bumped into a changeling and she pulled him into a corner. This one seemed to shake like he was afraid. Twilight didn’t take any chances.
“I want you to change into me and make a distraction. You understand? If you dare try anything, I will blow you to pieces!!”
“Please! I’ll do anything! Just don’t hurt me!!”
“Now!”
The changeling changed to look just like her. She pointed her hoof to run.
“But what if they find out before you escape?”
“If your wise, they won’t find out.! If I can’t save my friends before they try to throw you with them, pretend to be me until I can free them. You understand?”
“Y-Yes ma’am…”
“Good. Now run!”
The changeling ran and his peers saw him and chased after him. Twilight ran towards the castle and stopped when she saw that the entrances were blocked. She tried to teleport inside, but a magic barrier stopped her. She needed another plan. She saw as snow began to pile up on the ground.
“Oh girls, I need to get help…”
She ran away from the castle. She had to get help from others. She couldn't do it alone. She hid when she saw a group of changelings walk her direction. They had the changeling that turned into her. Now she only hoped that he didn’t give up her cover.
She ran out from her hiding spot and ran out of Canterlot, and teleported away.
TIME SKIP
Days have passed as Twilight made her way to her next destination. The train would not be fixed until this whole mess was over. Twilight wasn't even sure where she was, but she knew that she missed her friends and would go to the ends of Equestria just to get them back. Nothing for miles and she was getting weak from no water or even food, but Twilight would not give up. Finally, after 5 days, she saw where she was headed, but she didn’t know if she had the energy to keep up. Her legs gave in and she fell to her knees. All she wanted to do was scream at the top of her lungs, but she could only let out a small plea.
“Help… Please…”
A faint sound filled Twilight’s ears. She was coming to her senses. The first thing her senses caught was a bright light that filled her eyes when she opened them. It dimmed as her eyes adjusted. A crystal ceiling was what she first saw. She moved her head to look around. She saw a light blue mare walk up to her. She gasped and ran out of the room.
“Your Majesties, she’s awake!” Twilight heard.
Twilight heard the sound of hooves making their way the room she was in. She gave a faint smile when she saw her older brother, Shining Armor, and her sister-in-law, Princess Cadence. Shining Armor gasped and threw himself on her to hug her. He made small muffled sounds indicating that he was, in fact, crying.
“Oh, Thank goodness! You’re all right!” He cried.
“What were you thinking? Were you out of your mind?” Cadence asked in fright.
“It was the only way to get to you. The train is down and I can’t teleport that far.”
“What do you mean the train is down?” Shining Armor asked her after wiping his tears.
“You don’t know? Equestria’s under attack! King Sombra and Queen Chrysalis have taken over Canterlot and soon all of Equestria will be under their power!”
The couple gasped.
“I had to get here. I didn’t know where else to go.”
“Where are your friends?”
“They were taken. We were trying to use the Elements of Harmony, but Chrysalis's minions-”
Twilight gasped and looked around.
“Where’s my saddlebag??”
“It’s here. The guards removed it from you when they found you. You’re lucky you actually made it here.”
“I couldn’t stop until I got to you,” she said as she took the bag.
She opened it and sighed when she saw they were still in its place. Twilight removed her element from her bag. She took it out of its place in the crown and put the crown to the side.
“My element is the only one that survived,” she said showing them the dimmed stone.
“What do you mean by-” Cadence started.
She was stopped when Twilight used her magic to lift the shards of the other elements out of her bag. Cadence gasped and took in the sight.
“How?”
“Some changeling soldiers snatched them and Chrysalis disposed of them… Equestria no longer has it’s only means of defense! I had to come here to ask for help. I didn’t know where else to go.”
“You came to the right place, Twily.” her brother assured her.
“We have to do something fast.”
“You need to eat and drink something. You were in bad shape when the guards found you.”
“I can’t eat now! We need to do something!”
“And we will. You have to regain your energy and I will help get an army together. We’ll leave at dawn.”
“But-”
“No buts, Twilight. You know Shining is right. You aren’t in the best condition. It will take the rest of the day to prepare as quickly as possible. We will get ready. Just… You need to get better. You scared us when they brought you in.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright. It’s gonna be ok.”
Twilight nodded and watched as Shining Armor left to go send the news to the guards. Cadence stayed with Twilight to make sure she was taken care of properly.
~BACK IN EQUESTRIA~
“-and you will WATCH as your pathetic friends perish in front of your very eyes.”
Twilight's friends looked at Chrysalis in fear.
“You’re not saying what I think your saying... are you?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Oh yes. Soon you six will never see your precious sunlight ever again!” Chrysalis cackled.
“You’re not playing with those fillies, are you?” Sombra asked her, walking in.
“I’m just reminding them that they-”
“I get it. It holds it off. I want them to have a front seat as they watch their precious land be destroyed and transformed.”
“You will not win, Sombra!” Princess Luna declared.
“Really? I have all six of the little ponies you depend on so much.”
“Stop your lies!” Luna yelled back.
Sombra laughed as the throne doors opened and changeling guards drag in Twilight. She looked frightened. They threw Twilight, or even, the changeling that had been posing as Twilight into the cage with them. He looked full of fear as he landed in front of the Princesses.
“You lose…”
The two laughed together and walked away leaving them alone. Celestia looked down to Twilight.
“Twilight, what happened??”
The changeling refused to speak. Rainbow Dash flew over to him.
“Twilight…?”
“I’M NOT TWILIGHT!” he said suddenly.
“WHAT??”
“I’m a changeling. Twilight forced me to take her place. I just had to. I want this to end as much as you want. Please, just don’t hurt me!!!”
“And why should we trust you?” Applejack asked.
“Because, I would have revealed myself as soon as I was thrown in, but I didn’t! Only you know, so just help me keep my cover! Twilight fled awhile ago. She’s probably a long way from now. For days, I’ve been tortured just so they could get me to reveal the location of the Elements. Twilight has them.”
“I knew she couldn’t be easily caught,” Celestia said with a sigh.
She looked back down at the fake Twilight.
“Your good deed will be rewarded as soon as this is over…” she said with a smile.
“If it’s ever over…” he replied.

A cold wind gusted through a snowy field. Dark clouds filled the skies and all that could be seen was snow falling harshly to the ground. A white mare, an alicorn, ran through. She was frightened at what she saw. Her beloved kingdom was covered in the falling snow and nothing could be seen.
“Sister! Luna where are you?! Lulu!!”
“You’re sister is not available to you at the time.” a dark low voice spoke from the distance.
“What have you done with Princess Luna?” she questioned the voice.
“You will join her soon. I wouldn’t want to keep two sisters separated.” it said adding a dark chuckle.
“Show yourself!” she demanded.
The voice laughed. She felt the cold snow hitting her harder. She grunted and growled and the wind blew harder and louder. She used her wings to block the snow from hitting her face. She shivered but stood strong.
“I demand for you to show yourself! Who are you do invade my kingdom?”
“You should remember me, Celestia. You think sending those six little ponies would have helped? It only weakened me. I’ve grown stronger and now you shall pay for your poor choices.”
She gasped as the voice had gotten closer. Over her stood a dark shadow. The all too familiar face grinned and whispered.
“You lose…”
Using it’s horn, it swung it’s weapon towards her and blackness filled.
“AHHHHHH!” the white mare, Celestia screamed.
The door slammed open and a dark blue mare ran through the doorway.
“Sister! What has happened? Why did you awake with a scream?”
“I had a nightmare… It was terrible.”
She hugged her sister and hit tears streamed from her eyes.
“Please explain what it was. I have a feeling it was more than that.”
“It was too horrible! It can’t be real…”
“I would have gone in to stop it if it was a dream… I was not aware of anything invading a dream…”
“No… He’s back…”
“Who, Dear sister?”
“Sombra…”

Thank you for reading the prologue for my new story, A Destiny Revealed. I have prewritten this story, so If you see any spelling errors, please tell me. I type a bit too fast and don't notice it. Even spellcheck may not get them. If the story gets boring please understand that as I wrote this story I had a lot of Writer's Block, but this story begged to be written. I simply wrote what the characters asked me to write. I went on as the story continued.

“Ugh, It’s been 2 weeks and still nothing’s happened!”
“Rainbow Dash, these things take time.” Twilight told her.
“I have much more important things to do at home! We finished training the guards, we made sure ponies in Canterlot and other places had secure housing, and we did it in two weeks! Nothing’s happened so I think we should go home now. Maybe it was just a nightmare the Princess had.”
“You think Princess Celestia was lying??”
“No, I’m saying she took her nightmare too seriously. Come on, Twilight. Even if this was going to happen, I don’t think it’ll happen for a while.”
Twilight looked around to her friends.
“Do you all really think it’s time to go?”
“Well, Sweetie Belle has been staying with Applejack’s family along with Scootaloo; I think it’s time I go back. She needs me, Twilight.” Rarity said.
“I’ve set food for my animals for at least 2 weeks so I really have to get back so they don’t get angry.”
“Eh, I don’t mind staying longer but I agree with Rainbow Dash. If things were really going to happen, it would’ve happened soon.” Pinkie added.
“Come on, Twi. We have to go home to make sure Ponyville is ready too.” Applejack added lastly.
Twilight looked around and nodded.
“I’ll go tell the Princesses.”
She walked out of their room and made her way to the throne room. The guards let her in and she walked towards the two sisters. She bowed respectively and looked up to them.
“Princesses, The girls and I believe that it is time for us to go home. It’s been two weeks and still nothing has happened. If something were to happen, we still haven’t been home to make sure everything is prepared. I think it’s time for us to go.”
“No! I’m just saying that we need time to get our homes ready and we should take this extended time to go and do it.”
“It’s dangerous, young one. It could happen at any moment.” Princess Luna warned.
“Please, the girls really want to go home and make sure their families are ok.” Twilight said straight out.
The two sisters looked to each other and sighed. They looked down from their throne and gave her a simple nod.
“You may go but we need a letter once you all get home. You understand?”
“Of course, Princesses. Thank you for understanding. We’ll see you soon.”
Twilight walked out of the throne room and made her way towards their room once again. She walked in and went to her bed to pack. Her friends took that as a “yes” and began to pack as well, in silence. Once they were done they left the room and left the castle. They made their way to the train station and soon enough the train had arrived.
“So what did the Princesses say, Twilight?” Applejack asked as soon as they were seated.
“They said they want a letter from us to make sure that we arrived home safely.”
“Oh, That’s good. Are you sure we made the right decision?”
“I don’t know, Applejack. I don’t know.”
At dawn, just as Shining Armor had said, they left with an army of colts willing to fight for Equestria. Twilight regained her strength, with the help of Princess Cadence and she was prepared to free her friends. They had all they needed for a 5-day journey as Twilight has said it was and for the journey back. The night was approaching, so they were preparing camp. They were nearby the Galloping Gorge, so the made camp there. Twilight sat near Shining Armor and Cadence’s tent. She had her saddlebag open and she was staring at the broken elements. Shining Armor sat next to her.
“Hey, you ok, Sis?”
“I don’t know. How are we going to fix the elements?”
“I don’t know, Twily. Maybe Celestia would know, but right now, I don’t think they can be fixed.”
Twilight sighed.
“Do you think my friends are ok?”
“They are strong, Twilight. I don’t think that they’d be that easy to get rid of. Have some faith in them.”
“What am I doing here? I’m here sitting feeling sorry for myself when I should be over there in Canterlot fighting for their lives. That’s exactly what they'd be doing if it were me.”
She stood up and she handed her saddlebag to her brother.
“You’ll take care of them, won’t you?”
“Twilight, what are you-?” Cadence asked suddenly.
“I should be fighting for them at this moment. Take care of the elements for me! I’ll see you back in Canterlot!”
She ran off with Shining Armor running after her. She closed her eyes and teleported away leaving him staring off. Cadence ran next to him and put her hoof on him.
“She knows what could happen! Why is she so stubborn!?”
“Well, she is your sister.”
Shining Armor looked at his wife.
“What do you mean by that?”
“All I’m saying is that Twilight is strong, just like you. She knows how to keep fighting. I believe in her and I trust her judgement.”
A glow came from Twilight’s saddlebag. Shining Armor opened it and was amazed at what he saw. The Element of Loyalty was whole again and was glowing brightly. Cadence smiled in awe.
“Did… Did Twilight do that?” Shining Armor asked.
“Maybe so. Maybe she’s the key to repairing these elements. Maybe it’s recognizing the spirit of that element in somepony else, but one thing for sure, Equestria is in good hands, and we will win this battle.” Cadence said with hope.
