Ding! Ding! Ding! The bell rang. Poetic Sorrow would use a bell to wake up her family of five, soon to be six. All the children came out of their rooms moaning.
" Why are we waking up so early?" Indie asked.(Why the name Indie? because I always wanted a daughter named Indie.) Indie is the youngest and only filly out of the three children Poetic Sorrow has. Because of that she has a very spunky and tomcoltish behavior.
"You already forgot? We're having Thanksgiving dinner with Grandma Summers."
"But she's old." Complained the middle child, Tough Stuff. (Stupid name right? Yeah, I know. :/ )
"It won't be that bad."
"Poetic, Howey just called saying he'll be visiting from college to be with us for Thanksgiving." said Poetic's husband.(I'm not even gonna say his name.)
"Yay! Howey's going to visit! Howey's going to visit!" Indie and Tough Stuff both sang joyfully in unison.
"Now, now, calm down. We can't be late. So get in the bathroom and get ready."
For Lucky Day( Poetic's twin brother.) it was easier to get up because he only has male and female twins.( Divorce. Imagine how painful it's going to be for him to sit through dinner with his ex-wife.) Usually it was his kids waking him up.
"Daddy! Daddy! Wake up!" Joyful Noise (Colt) and Crystal Heart (Filly) yelled while jumping on their father's bed. They were a lovely set. They would always find a reason to be happy no matter what the situation was. That was one of the reasons they didn't brake when their mother was abusing them. They didn't have their cutie marks yet.
"Huh? What day is it?" Lucky Day asked.
Joyful Noise giggled.
"Silly daddy," He started.
"So forgetful." Crystal Heart continued.
"Today is Thanksgiving." Joyful said
"So?" Lucky asked the both of them.
They both looked at eachother.
" We're having dinner with Grandma." They both said.
Lucky Day got out of his bed.
"Okay, Okay. Let's get ready.
The two families met outside MidSummers' door, along with Lucky Day's ex-wife Critical Fashion. MidSummers opened the door.
" Oh, hello. Just in time." She said as she let them in.
"Hello, Grandma Summers." Crystal and Joyful both sang as they entered the house.
Indie just put on a smile and passed by. Tough Stuff did the same.
All the foals sat on the floor playing. MidSummers was watching them. They seemed bored though, so she had an idea.
"Would you foals like to hear a third point of veiw story on how I saved your mother and father, Poetic Sorrow and Lucky Day? It's 100% true."
"Save? Who are ya'? Supermare or somthin'?" Indie said. "No way it can be true."
" Well, listen and find out for yourself."
"Story time! Story time!" Crystal and Joyful sang.
They all gathered around MidSummers.
"I will now proceed to tell my story in third person."
Midsummers got up from her slumber, next to her wonderful husband, to get ready for work. Her job was a nurse at Manehattan children's hospital. She loved children. She even has some of her own. She lumbered over to the shower half asleep but aware of her surroundings. She took off her pajamas and stepped into the shower. As soon as the water started to run all sound was inaudible. 1 minute later. As she stepped out of the shower she yawned then dried her mane and combed it. Well, atleast the shower got her clean but she needed to be awake. So she went to the kitchen to get some coffee. As she poured the coffee into her mug a soft sound was made. It is surprisingly pleasant to hear for some reason. She looked at the clock and saw that she still had some time. She walked back to her room's door frame and dropped the mug in shock, sending broken glass peices flying everywhere. There was lying MidSummers' husband dead with a slit through his neck. Tears ran down MidSummers' face. She ran over to him.
"Howared. Howared?! Howared, please! Howared!!!" MidSummers screamed. She continued to sob his name for another full minute. Soon the night flashed with police cars and ambulance sirens and lights.
"Have you found anything yet?" asked MidSummers.
"Sorry Mrs. Summers, we haven't found anything." Said moustache cop pony.
"Not even a weapon or some blood?"
"Nope. Nothing but an open window and this here broken peice of glass. Which I reckon you made."
"What about in my kid's room?"
"Kids? We ain't seen no kids." Said moustache cop pony now in a bad southern accent.
"You mean they took my children! Great, " Said MidSummers trying not to cry. "they might as well take away my mother and me." She than sat on her hind legs, wondering how the rest of her life is going to be without her husband and kids by her side.
"Now don't get so worked up. You might get a stroke, considering how old you look."
MidSummers looked up at him with eyes now filled with tears. Another cop pony, with an even more awesomer stache, walked up.
"We'll have to continue this case tomorrow." The cop pony walked away, with less awesome mustache pony following him. "Y'all have a good night, ya hear?"
"Dude just stop."
"Come on, I really do sound like I'm southern."
"No you don't, you sound like a dying parrot."
"You can't hate on my swag."
"That term was made by gay stallions."
"Oh....."

The next day, they had Howard's funeral. Ponies were gathered around the coffin. One pacific lavender mare that flew in was also attending the funeral. It was Twilight Sparkle. The two met in Canterlot, when they were both looking for work. Twilight Sparkle gave up the life of being a student and switched to the dark side. She was now an assassin. She had a short pixie cut and was wearing a black elastic tight fitting suit. Twilight walked over to MidSummers. MidSummers was quietly sobbing to herself.
"How did he die?" She asked, looking at the dead body.
"I just found him with a slit through his neck. I called the police but..."
Twilight cut her off.
"Police?" Twilight said with a face. "The police don't do diddlely sqwat. Besides no one cares if he's dead or not." (Did delly sqwat.)
"Thanks, real helpful."
"Look, unless you want to cry like a baby your whole life come see me and we'll handle this like real men. Right now I've got an assassination at 5. Twilight out." She than walked away.
Five hours later MidSummers went to work. Without Howard to help with the bills, she had to work harder. She didn't mind. She loved her job at the hospital. She would always talk to the pateints and get to know them. One particular mare she would always talk to about life problems.
"I heard about your loss. I'm so sorry."
"It spread that quickly, huh? I just came from the funeral."
"Just now? You need to take a vacation for a while."
"I know it's just that I need to work harder. Besides, I wouldn't be able to see you."
"Aww. That's sweet. How are the kids putting up with it?"
Silence.
"Th, the-thier. She hesitated greatly to answer the question "Their... I'm sorry." She said as she ran with tears following her. She went out the hospital door and went in her car.
"I'm not gonna put up with this any longer." She said as she put it in reverse.
When she reached her destination she knocked on the door. A purple mare opened the door. Twilight let MidSummers in.
"We have a visitor! Twilight screamed up the stairs.
A few minutes later a pink mare with an even pinker mane came down the stairs. She circled around MidSummers slowly, examining every part and detail around her back.
