The Matrix
One cold winter's night, a lone soul walks alone through the snow; wandering the streets of his hometown. But he is not lost. Package in hand, he seeks to return once again to his humble abode and tuck himself into his warm bed. The crosswalk changes to red. He stops. The harsh wind bites through his clothes as he waits for traffic that isn't there to pass. Once more his thoughts drift-
"Shut up! It's like your trying to annoy me or something!"
I was only trying to set the mood
"Mood? What mood? Who were you talking.... wait I remember you, you're the hallucination that manifested as a result of my using stories as an escape from reality. I think I called you the narrator, or something."
Indeed, I am he which you had dubbed The Narrator.
"Why have you popped back into my head again? It's not like I've been reading as much as back then."
I only thought it was appropriate, seeing as you are about to find yourself in a cartoon.
"Wait, what?"
SCREEEEEECH!
