Who Does the Animerican Like?
As usual, it was a lovely day in Ponyville. The sun shined overhead, not a frown to be found, probably couldn't find a friendlier place in all of Equestria. That day, three of heroines decided to have lunch together at the local Ponyville Cafe. Here, Twilight asked the girls a random question, "Hey girls, do you think the Animerican likes anypony?"
"Well that was random," said Rainbow.
Both Rainbow Dash and Rarity looked back at Twilight in confusion.
"Who?" asked Rarity.
"Oh he is just somepony who writes about us in his stories," said Rainbow Dash.
"He writes? About us?" asked a curious Rarity.
"Oh yes," replied Twilight, "One time, he tried to write a story about Rainbow and I-," Twilight was interrupted by the cyan pegasus' hoof in her mouth.
"You don't need to tell her about that," Rainbow said with slight blush in her cheeks.
"What darling? If you of all ponies was in it, I'm sure it would make an exciting read." To some ponies, yes it would be an exciting stories. In this case, the story was downright embarrassing for Rainbow Dash.
"So this uh, Animation was it? What has he written about me?" Rarity asked as she fixed her mane with her nose held high.
"It's the Animerican. Actually, now that I think about it, he hasn't written anything about you," Twilight said without thinking.
At first, Rarity flinched at the spoken words from Twilight. Then she gave a fake chuckle, "Oh I see. Of course he probably hasn't written about me specifically. He has me as a side character perhaps? Played a small, but huge part in his work?"
Twilight tried to recall a time Rarity was in any of his stories, but she couldn't think of any. "No not once," again she said bluntly to her friend.
"What!?!" shouted Rarity, "Wh-Wh-Why?"
"Uh... I'm sure he had a story in mind for you," Twilight tried comforting her unicorn friend. On the side, Rainbow rolled her eyes that said, "Here comes the drama."
"Oh woe is me," Rarity cried dramatically, "I know what happened. He must have read our Friendship Journal and now he hates me. He hates me I tell you! HATES ME!!!" Rarity cried with mascara coming down her face. As she cried, Twilight and Rainbow felt uncomfortable of the staring eyes from the ponies around them.
"Maybe we should go," suggested Twilight.
"What? But we haven't eaten yet!" shouted Rainbow.
"Can you really eat under these circumstances?"
Rainbow took Twilight's words into consideration as she observed her surroundings, "No... I guess not," agreed a disappointed Rainbow.
Without warning, Twilight cast her teleportation spell.

Twilight and her friends reappeared inside Rarity's boutique and home. Rainbow was still hungry, Rarity was still crying, and Twilight... Well she was trying to be helpful.
"Ugh, Rarity it isn't that big of a deal," said Rainbow.
"My reputation has ruined me I tell you! RUINED!!!" Rarity shouted as she ran to her bedroom. It was good that Sweetie Belle wasn't around. One, she should have gotten mad at somepony. Second, she would have to try to comfort her sister for Celestia knows how long.
It wasn't long before Rainbow Dash and Twilight went after her. They were too late though as Rarity already had locked herself in her room.
Twilight was the first to approach the door and knock, "Rarity, please come out. I think you are making too much of this."
"I can never come out!" Rarity exclaimed. On the other side of the door, Twilight was able to hear Rarity's sewing machine power on.
"Oh Rarity, not the stress sewing?"
"I am expressing myself Darling! Stress Couture!" Rarity stated as the sound of her sewing machine continued.
"Ugh! This is your fault Twilight!" Rainbow accused as she hovered over the violet pony.
"My fault? How is this my fault?" She challenged Rainbow.
"Well for one, you brought up the Animerican. Then you told Rarity that he hasn't written ANYTHING about her." Whenever Twilight argued with Rainbow, she was always prepared to have a counterargument. However, in this case, Rainbow made her point and Twilight bit her tongue.
"How are we going to calm her down now?" Rainbow asked.
Twilight rubbed her chin before answering, "I am not sure, but we can't just leave her like this."
Twilight continued to puzzle and puzzle on how to proceed. While in her thoughts, she almost didn't hear the sudden gasp from Rainbow.
"Twilight! I think I got it!" she announced in a loud whisper. She then motioned for her friend to come closer. Twilight raised her eyebrow at this, but played along. Once she got close enough, Rainbow hugged around Twilight's neck and whispered in her ear, "Why don't we just have the Animerican talk to her?"
"Huh?" Twilight asked confused.
"She is upset because the Animerican hasn't written anything about her right? She thinks it is because he 'hates' her right? Well, if he came here and told her that he DOESN'T hate her then she will stop crying," Rainbow stated with confidence.
"I don't think it is that simple Rainbow. Another reason why Rarity is upset is because he hasn't written anything about her," said a concerned Twilight.
"Try asking him to write a short story about her. Problem solved."
"What? No!" Twilight disagreed, "Not solved! I can't just ask him to write about somepony. Writers like to write what inspires them. Being forced to write something is not his forte. You think A.K. Yearling was forced to write about Daring Do?"
"Of course she was forced."
"Huh?" asked a confused Twilight.
"You think Daring Do can go on so many adventures and not tell stories about how awesome she is?"
"That's not what I- Ugh forget it."
"Just ask him Twilight. This is for Rarity."
Although Twilight did not fully support this idea, she just couldn't ignore the whimpering unicorn in the background. She sighed deeply, "Oh okay. I guess there are no other options. I will have to call him and see if he is available. Can you stay here with Rarity?"
"Go ahead. I got this," Rainbow shooed away at Twilight.
Twilight rolled her eyes as she walked back down stairs.
Once she was gone, Rarity's door slowly opened and it caught Rainbow's eye. "Oh hey Rare. I'm glad to see you're-," Rainbow stopped as she noticed that Rarity still didn't seem like herself. Also, she noticed the object that levitated beside Rarity. It was a dress, or at least that's what she thought it was. This "dress" consisted of many different fabrics and color; probably the only one of it's kind.
Rainbow grew nervous as Rarity stepped closer, "Uh... Rarity... What are you doing?"
Rarity grinned with her eye twitching, "Isn't it obvious darling...? I need a model."
"Oh buck."

Twilight was downstairs and thought to herself, "I can't believe I am doing this. If anypony saw this they would think I was crazy. I hope he doesn't get mad."
She cleared her throat before speaking, "Um, hello? Animerican? Are you around?" Twilight called to the ceiling, but no response. Twilight began to question if there was more to calling him. "Animerican? If you are around, I am kind of in need of your help. Can you come out please?"
Twilight waited for about a minute before she finally received a reply, "Oh hi Twilight!"
The sudden greeting made Twilight slightly jump. She played it off, hoping he didn't notice. "Uh hey Animerican," Twilight said to the ceiling.
"You normally don't call out for me. Is something wrong? Listen, if it has anything to do with that TwiDash fic-."
"No! Celestia no! We are not going to discuss that!" Twilight blushed heavily as she made the statement very clear. "There is a situation and I need your help to fix it,"
"My help? Why would you need my help?"
"Well, you see, I told Rarity of your existence."
"Okay... And that is a problem because?"
"Well, I kind of told her that you never wrote a story about her," said Twilight as she rubbed the back of her head.
"You did what!?!" Immediately after his outburst, he teleported in front of Twilight; giving her a scare that made her land on her flank. "Don't tell me she is having one of her drama moments again?"
"Yes."
"She got the drama couch?"
"Maybe?"
"Maybe?" Animerican repeated.
"She ran straight to her room."
"Uh oh, she didn't grab any ice cream did she?"
"No she didn't."
The Animerican gave a sigh of relief, "Ah okay. So it isn't that bad then."
"Well..."
He didn't like the sound of that, "Well what?"
"She is uh... making her dresses..."
"Not stress couture."
"...yeah."
Without saying another word he ran up the stairs; Twilight following behind him.

Once they reached up the stairs, they were surprised to see that Rarity was out of her room. "Hey Rarity, what are you-?" The Animerican stopped himself as she noticed a familiar pegasus. He wanted to ask, but he was slightly terrified at the sight of whatever was eating Rainbow Dash whole. "R-R-Rainbow? W-What is that?"
"No questions! Just get me out of this!" demanded Rainbow Dash.
With his magic, the Animerican had teleported Rainbow out of the horrid dress and to their side. Rainbow sighed deeply out of relief.
Rarity gasped, "Oh how dare you! Who do you think you are?"
"Umm, hello Rarity. I am the Animerican."
Rarity's eyes widened at the introduction. "You!" she pointed her hoof out, "I can not believe it. You think I am not good enough to be in your novels? Well I will have you know, I do not NEED to be in your novels."
"Rarity I-," the Animerican tried to speak, but Rarity didn't allow it.
"In fact, I don't event WANT to be in your filly stories."
"Rarity-," he attempted again, but was cut off... Again.
"I will have you know, I have far too much of a reputation to be featured in your work."
"RRRRRRAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYY!!!!!" The Animerican let out a roar that finally silenced the fashionista. Realizing he lost his temper, he looked around to see that even Rainbow stopped flying and Twilight's eyes widened. He took a deep breath, regained his composure before speaking, "Rarity, I had planned to have you in one of my stories."
Rarity's eyes lightened up, "You... You did?"
"Yes, but it isn't that simple. First of all, I would ask for your permission before I wrote anything. Second, I had other ideas in mind before I thought of the ideas for you.Thirdly, as a pony who wants to be a writer, I need to have that fire, that inspiration, that motivation to want me to write. I can't just simply write it. Otherwise, the feeling isn't there and I can't give my all to the readers. So Rarity, I don't hate you. I just haven't gotten around to it."
"I see..." Although Rarity seemed to like the thought that he didn't hate her. "Well then," Rarity started as she wiped away her ruined mascara, "I suppose this was foolish of me. For your reference, you have my permission to write me in one of your stories."
The Animerican smiled, "Thank you. I am truly honored."
Rarity raised an eyebrow, pondered whether what he said was out of honesty or sarcasm. "Well if you will all excuse me, I would like to get myself cleaned up."
"Of course Rarity," said Twilight.
As Rarity was about to go back to her room, she looked back to her friends, "Girls, I'm sorry about my behavior. It was very unlady like of me."
"It's okay Rarity. We're your friends," said a thoughtful Twilight.
"Yeah," agreed Rainbow. "It isn't like we aren't used to it by now."
Twilight elbowed Rainbow for the unnecessary comment. Ignoring the comment, Rarity went back to her room to clean herself up.
"Now then," Animerican said as he turned toward the purple alicorn and cyan pegasus, "What started this whole thing?"
"She did it," Rainbow Dash pointed at Twilight.
Twilight gave a nervous chuckle, "Hehehe. Sorry."
"Twilight, how was the subject of me even brought up? Not many ponies even know I exist."
"Well, you like to write romance stories about us sometimes. I was curious that if... Well... If you liked anypony."
He was somewhat surprised, "Me? If I liked anypony?"
"Well yeah. You write all those stories. I was wondering if there was anypony you liked."
For a short moment, there was only silence. The atmosphere was awkward that it even made Rainbow cough. Suddenly, the Animerican burst out laughing. The three girls looked at each other in confusion. The laughing pony tried to take breaks in between, but struggled with the giggles. After taking a couple deep breaths, he found an opening to speak, "I'm sorry, but that's what started this whole thing? Oh sweet Celestia that is funny." The Animerican wiped away his tears of laughter. "I'm sorry to disappoint you Twilight, but there is nopony that I like. I write out of inspiration from animes and movies that I enjoy watching."
"Oh. Oh I see," said Twilight with disinterest. More than likely, she hoped for a more exciting and romantic answer.
"Hold on a second," Rainbow stepped in, "You mean to tell me there is NOPONY that you like?"
"Nope. Sorry," he said bluntly.
"Aww come on. Even there is somepony that I like," Rainbow stated.
"Wait, there is?" asked Twilight. "Who?"
"You don't need to know that," said Rainbow with a red face, "The point is, I am pretty sure that there is somepony everypony likes. Heck, I bet even Twilight likes somepony."
"Gee. Thanks," said Twilight unamused by the comment.
"So spill it. Who do you like?"
"Rainbow, I am not disagreeing with you. I'm sure there is somepony for everypony. However, it is at the right and proper time. I mean, look at Big Mac. From what I saw, he went on not liking anypony for a long time. Look at him now though. He eventually grew feelings and confessed them to Sugar Belle."
"See? If a shy pony like him could like somepony, I bet you have one too," Rainbow remained persistent.
The Animerican tried to remain patient, but was starting to get frustrated with Rainbow. "Look, I don't have time for this. I have more stories to write." He said as he was walking away, "Now for the last time, there is absolutely nopony that I like." Right when he was about to leave, a bright flash of light appeared right in front of him. Merely a few inches away, another pony stood in front of him.
"Oh my goodness I'm so sorry," Starlight Glimmer apologized. She looked behind him, "There you are Twilight. I remember that you went out with Rarity and Rainbow Dash, but I heard that there was a scene and Rarity was crying. Is everything okay?"
"Hi Starlight. Yeah, everything is fine now. She is cleaning herself as we speak."
"That's good. Umm, who is this?" Starlight directed her attention towards the only male pony in the room.
"Oh. He is the Animerican."
"Oh! The one that wrote a story about you and Rainbow-."
"Yes!" Rainbow cut her off, "Mother of Luna! He didn't even finish that one! How does everypony know about that!?!"
"Well if it makes you feel better, I didn't read it. I just heard about it," said Starlight. Starlight diverted her attention back to the Animerican, "Hello, I'm Starlight Glimmer."
"Uh, hi. I'm the... Uh... What's my name again... The Animerican," he said with a nervous smile.
"Yeah. Uh, I think Twilight said that," Starlight said with a chuckle.
"Oh. Umm, right," he said still smiling.
"Are you okay? You don't look so good," asked a concerned Starlight.
"What? I-I don't?"
Starlight then suddenly laid a foreleg on the Animerican's forehead, "Hmm, you seem to have a fever. Maybe you should see Nurse Redheart."
"Uh yeah. Maybe I should."
"Well, it was nice meeting you, but I have to get back to the castle. I agreed to help Spike with some of the chores. I will see you later Twilight. Bye Rainbow."
"I'll be there soon Starlight," said Twilight.
"See ya!" waved Rainbow.
After Starlight gave a wave goodbye, she teleported out of the room. The Animerican then touched his forehead and smiled slightly.
"Twi, did you see what I see?"
"Hmm? See what?"
Rainbow looked at Twilight unamused, "How could you be such an egghead and be so clueless?"
"What?" Twilight asked confused.
"Think about it. Starlight appears, his face turned red, answered her nervously?"
Twilight contemplated on what Rainbow tried to tell her. She looked between Rainbow and then the Animerican. Then finally, she gave Rainbow an answer, "Starlight was right and he suddenly got a fever?"
"Darn it Twilight! He likes Starlight!"

Hello everyone! I wrote this to take a break from the other stories. I don't plan to make this one too long. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy!
FYI, I don't think that Rarity would act the way she did. I just thought it would be really funny if I overexaggerated a bit. XD
