So...yeah, that’s pretty much it when it comes to me. I mean, I do like chocolate milk, but what does that have to do with anything? But your not here to learn about me, right? You want to know about how I got with Sweetie Belle, am I correct? Well, it certainly is a winding tale, with more twists and turns than the Sonic The Hedgehog series, but it’s a very good tale. I guess we should get started, take it away, Fan! —————————————————————— Sweetie Belle was very, very bored. It was summer vacation, but it wasn’t as good as she would’ve hoped it to be. Fate wasn’t on her side, as both Scootaloo and AppleBloom were out of town. AppleBloom was in Appaloosa, and Scoots was at a flying camp, leaving Sweetie to sit all by her lonesome. She thought of an idea that didn’t sound bad in theory, but was going to be hard to pull off. “Maybe....I can find some new ponies to play with? I don’t AppleBloom or Scoots would mind”, she said, looking at the door. She was nervous, she didn’t really know anyone else besides AB and Scoots. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were their friends, but they were out of town as well. Twist was in town, but who knows where she could be. Rumble was training with Thunderlane, Dinky was with her mother and Twilight in Canterlot, and the rest were just around Ponyville. Her mind went blank, she couldn’t think of anypony else. “Oh, it’s hopeless! I’m never going to find another pony to hang out with!”, she said sinking down into the couch. Suddenly, a knock came at the door. Rarity was not home, so Sweetie had to answer. She trudged up to the door, expecting to see some kind of customer, or maybe even a mailpony. She opened the door, and found something she did not expect. It was a colt, around her age, wearing a propeller beanie that was somehow spinning. He was dark green and had a brown mane, and had a grin on his face. “Hi! Is this Carousel Boutique?”, he asked. “Yeah, it is. Who are you?”, Sweetie asked out of curiosity. “Oh, my name is Button Mash! What’s your name?”, Button asked. “I’m Sweetie Belle, what do you need?”, she asked. “My mom sent me here to pick up an order she placed”, he said with a grin. Something about that smile made Sweetie Belle feel weird, but she couldn’t place what kind of weird it was. “Oh, well....Rarity isn’t here right now..I don’t know where the orders are kept, so I can’t help you”, she said. Button lost his smile and looked down to the ground. “Oh.............ok. I’ll just go”, he said, turning around. “Wait!!!! Don’t go!!”, she said. He turned back around, and their eyes met. Button could sense she was not happy. “Are you ok?”, he asked. “No, I’m not ok. All of my friends are out of town and I’m bad at making new friends, so I’m just going to be alone all summer”, she said sadly. Button looked concerned, somepony should never have to go through this. “I’ll be your friend”, he said with a smile. Sweetie Belle smiled a large toothy grin. “Really! Thank you so much, Button Mash! This is going to be the best summer ever!”, Sweetie Belle, embracing Button Mash. Button blushed, but smiled as well. “Adventure is on the horizon, my dear Sweetie Belle”, he said. “What should we do first, Button?”, she asked. “You ever heard of Video Games?”, he asked. Sweetie Belle looked confused, she had heard of them, but had never got into it. “Yeah......what do you mean have I heard of it?”, she asked, confused and dazed. “You haven’t seen the way I play, it’s unlike anything you’ve ever known”, he said with a proud smile. Sweetie saw the look of pride and believed him, she had never seen such a confident expression. “C’mon! I’ll show you my house!”, he said, grabbing her hoof and leading her towards his home. Sweetie simply allowed herself to be dragged as they made it to the home of Button Mash, a cream colored home in the middle of town. “Hello, Button”, said an older voice. Both looked up to see a mare, cream colored and brown maned, sitting on the porch. Her cutie mark was a bottle for a baby. “Hey Mom! Meet my new friend Sweetie Belle! She has nothing else to do, so I brought her here. Isn’t that awesome?”, he said with a goofy grin. His mom just smiled, her baby was growing up. “It is awesome Button, have fun!”, she said before going into the house. “You wanna see my room?”, he asked. “Sure!”, she replied with a small smile. They trotted into the home, it was a standard home. Nothing special, but nothing lacking either. Sweetie thought it was quite peaceful, or at least more peaceful than the Boutique. “My rooms upstairs, follow me”, he said. They both trotted upstairs and entered his room. It was standard, just like the rest of the house. The one thing that stood out was all of the consoles. There were to many to count, and boy did she try. “So yeah, this is my room. Look around if you like”, he said with a smile. Sweetie was mesmerized, not by any of the systems, but of his smile. It was so welcoming and happy, it was honestly refreshing. She could definitely get used to this. She then embraced Button again. “Thank you”, she said. “Uhh, your welcome. Why am I being thanked?”, he asked with a red face. “Thank you for being a friend”, she said. “I should be thanking you, Sweetie Belle”, he said. “Why?”, she asked right back. “I’ve never had any freinds, your my first one”, he said with a sad look. Sweetie Belle gasped, how could he not have any friends. He was nice, funny, caring, cute-ok maybe thinking too much, but you get it, she was shocked! “Well now you’ve got now, and that won’t change”, she said with a smile. Little did they know, Button’s mom was watching them. She had tears in her eyes. “Thank you so much Sweetie Belle, you helped him more than you’ll ever know”, she said with a smile. They were in a heated Mario Kart tournament, with each having won 5 races. This was the last race, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. “Your going down, Button”, Sweetie said with confidence. Button chuckled and smirked, “Oh, we’ll see”, he said. The first two laps sped by quick, and both were neck and neck on the final stretch. Button and Sweetie both got a pair of items, and both were trying to find a way to use them. Button had a red shell, and Sweetie got a banana. Neither one moved forward or back, they were equal. Sweetie Belle had to sneeze, so Button took his opportunity. He lagged behind ever so slightly, and pelted we with his item. He passed her and took first place. “Your a jerk, Button! How did you think of that?”, Sweetie said. Button flashed his confident grin, he was very proud. “That, my dear, is a secret”, he said, putting on a fake ladies man accent. Sweetie Belle laughed, she loved when he was funny. “You crack me up Button”, she said. He just laughed with her, not because of his joke, but because her laugh. It was so contagious. “Button! Sweetie! I’ve got something to give you!”, said a voice from the hallway. Love Tap came in holding some bits, “How about you two go to Sugarcube Corner and get some treats? I bet that’d be fun”, she said. Their faces lit up, and they nodded. “Thanks Mom, c’mon Sweetie Belle, lets go!”, he said with excitement. Sweetie Belle nodded at Love Tap, and followed Button. “Ahh, young love”, she said while shaking her head. —————————————————————— Button and Sweetie arrived at Sugarcube Corner, but found a very unusual sight. Pinkie Pie was sitting on the front step, sporting a sad expression. Sweetie was confused, what could make Pinkie Pie so down? “Uhh, Pinkie?”, Sweetie said. Pinkie looked up and attempted a happy greeting. “Hey Sweetie Belle, and.......?”, she said. “Button Mash”, Button answered. “Yeah, him. Anyway, what do you need”, Pinkie still void of emotion. “Well, we were kinda hoping to get some treats”, Sweetie said. “Well, That can’t happen. Somepony stole all of my flour, so I can’t make any sweets, tweets, or Everlasting Gobstoppers”, Pinkie said. That last part was confusing, but they got the message. “We can help you find it, I’m sure it’s around here somewhere”, Button said. Pinkie chuckled, his optimism had an effect on her. “Maybe.....But where would Anypony start to look? It’s pretty much impossible to find the flour, I don’t know who could do it”, Pinkie said with little hope. “We can do it! I’m sure if we put on our Sherlock Hooves hats, we can find who fled with the flour”, Button said. “Are you sure your up to the task? I mean, it’s just flour”, Pinkie said. “It’s not just flour, it’s our lunch”, Button said with confidence. “C’mon Watson, we’ve got work to do!”, Button said before dragging Sweetie Belle to an unknown location. Pinkie looked at the display with a little bit of hope. Or maybe that was just the envy... —————————————————————— “Uhh, Button?”, Sweetie Belle said. Button turned around, sporting a detective’s hat, complete with propeller, and a magnifying glass. “That’s Detective Mash, to you”, he said with a candy cane pipe in his mouth. Sweetie rolled her eyes, he could be a goof sometimes. “Let’s go to the scene of the crime, maybe we can get some answers there”, Button said. Sweetie nodded and they took off. —————————————————————— They arrived abt Sugarcube Corner for the second time, only to find the same Pinkie Pie on the same steps. “Wow, your still here?”, Button asked. “Yep”, Pinke said. “Well, we’ve come to look for clues. Any idea where to start? Possibly the scene of the crime?”, he asked. Pinkie got and led them to the “Crime Scene”, and they took note of the state of the room. The was littered with flour, sugar, and all sorts of hard candy. In particular, candy canes. Button took note of everything he saw. Empty flour bags, wrappers, and traces of a break in. They noticed filly-like hoofprints in the flour, leading out of the same window that was broken into. Button had a thinking type look on his face, he looked so deep in thought. Sweetie Belle noticed his supreme level of concentration. It was a look she had never seen before. “I think I have a good idea who could have done this”, he said. “I have one question, Pinkie”, Button said towards Pinkie. “Ask away”, she said. “Do you know where Twist lives?” —————————————————————— They three approached the supposed home of Twist. Button had a suspicion that was her, and he had some proof. Filly-like hooveprints, wrappers, and most importantly there were missing can’t canes from their container. They knocked on the door. Twist answered the door, as they’d expected. “Hi guys, what’sh up?”, she asked. “Hello Twist, my name is Detective Mash, and I’m here to ask you some questions. You see, there was a break in at Sugarcube Corner around 10:45, where were you during that time?”, he asked. Twist looked around and spoke. “I wasth here during that time”, she responded. “Well, then would you care to explain why there were candy canes stolen from their container? If I remember correctly, candy canes are your favorite, correct?”, Button asked. “Somepony stole candy canestsh?!?! What a monster!”, Twist responded. “Yes, but they also stole flour, do you know anypony who would be interested in stealing flour?”, Button asked. “What about her?”, Twist asked, pointing behind them. The gang looked behind to see a magenta earth pony with a purple mane wearing a propeller beanie, covered in flour and sucking on a candy cane. “Well, gang, we’ve caught our culprit. Hey, you! Come here!”, Button said, calling for the mare. The mare came towards them, bouncing on her tail. “Hiya! I’m ScrewBall! What is your name?”, Screwball said with a goofy grin. “I’m Detective Mash, and I need to ask you a question”, he said. “Wow! Your a detective?!? That’s so cool!!”, she said. Button sighed, this wasn’t going to be easy. “Kind of, but thats not important. Why are covered in that white stuff?”, he asked. “I just came from a bakery!”, she said, still smiling goofily. The three gasped, had they caught their culprit? “Oh really? What did you exactly do at this bakery? And was it by chance Sugarcube Corner?”, Button asked. “Yeah, it was Sugarcube Corner. I was chasing a butterfly when I tripped and fell through a window. The floor was all slippery, and I landed in the flower. Boy, it sure got messy. The flour tripped me up and I crushed some candy canes that were there. I even got this gash from the glass”, she said, lifting her hoof to reveal a slash. Button cringed but carried on, “Well ma’m, you’ve just helped me solved this case. You see, you’ve caused Pinkie here a lot of sadness. She wasn’t able to bake today”, he said. Screwball gasped and trotted up to Pinkie. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! I didn’t think about who I could’ve affected. I was on the way to the hospital, but I think I could help you get some more flour. Oh please don’t be mad!”, Screwball said. Pinkie looked down, but then looked up with her signature attitude. “It’s ok, Screwball. It was just an accident, you wouldn’t steal from anypony from what I can tell. How’s about I take you to the hospital? Then you can help me get That flour?”, Pinkie said with a smile. Screwball nodded and the two mares trotted towards Ponyville General Hospital. Button Mash smiled proudly, he had solved his case.
BM and SB: Happily After EndingView OnlineButton Mash: In Love?BM and SB: Happily After EndingButton had been crying all night, and he couldn’t hide it. Summer was coming to end and fast, meaning that Sweetie Belle’s freinds were going to be back soon. That also meant that she would forget about him, or at least that’s what he thought would happen. He didn’t want to lose her, he couldn’t handle it. “Button?”, a voice called out. “Yeah Mom?”, Button said to his mother, who was in the doorway. “You have a visitor, they really want to see you”, Love Tap said. Love Tap stepped aside and let the visitor inside his room. It was Sweetie Belle. The filly smiled, but that wasn’t unusual. Her smile helped Button so much that summer, so much so that it was practically burnt into his mind. “Hey Button!”, she said happily. He tried to smile, he really did, but he just couldn’t. His tears started to flow freely, leaving them to stain his cheeks. “Button, what’s wrong?”, Sweetie said. Button had no response, he just kept sobbing. Sweetie was concerned, had she done something wrong? She trotted over to Button and embraced him. Her warmth just made him cry more, but he still hugged back. They sat like that for some time, neither one wanting to move. “Please don’t leave me...”, Button said quietly. Sweetie got confused. What did he mean by that? “What do you mean?”, Sweetie asked. Button looked up into her eyes and said words that Sweetie Belle would never forget. “Summer is almost over, Sweetie Belle! Your friends are going to come back, and then your going to forget about me! And then I’ll just be alone, it’ll be just like every other year!”, Button said, tears still pouring from his eyes. Sweetie Belle was shocked, why would he think that? She could never forget him, even if she tried. They’d had an amazing summer together, and it was honestly the happiest she had felt in years. And then, she felt it, she felt something inside so warm and sweet, it was heavenly. It was love. She loved Button Mash. She loved him so much, and she didn’t realize it. He had picked her up when she was down, and showed her how to have fun. Now it was her turn to pick him up. “Button Mash, I will never leave you, nor will I forget you. You’ve made me so happy, and I’ll nwver forget it. Button, your special to me, and don’t forget it”, Sweetie Belle said with all of her heart. Button didn’t know what to say, he hadn’t expected that much from her. Her words touched him on a very deep level. And then he felt something in his heart, something he couldn’t even describe. It was as if he had gotten the skeleton costume in Super Mario Oddessy. It was pure happiness and joy, and was all directed at Sweetie Belle. “Sweetie Belle?”, he asked. “Yeah?”, she replied. Button leaned his head ever so closer to Seetie Belle, and sealed the gap by placing his lips on hers. She was surprised at first, but soon kissed back. Button then grew confident, and un-arched his back. She melted into his hooves and wrapped her hooves around his neck. Sweetie broke the kiss and stared into his eyes. “I love you”, she said. “I love you too, Sweetie Belle, for always and ever”, he said, nuzzling her. Love Tap watched the whole thing go down, and by the end she had tears. Her baby had grown up. “You wanna play some Mario Kart?”, she asked. “Yep, your going down!”, he said with a smirk. Sweetie giggled, she loved when he was happy.
BM and SB: House on The HillView OnlineButton Mash: In Love?BM and SB: House on The Hill“OH SWEET CELESTIA!!! RUN!!”, Sweetie Belle said. Button ran down the hall, he was being chased by a monster. Button tripped and the monster was getting closer with each second. Button was counting his blessings when the monster started breathing on him. The monster unhinged his jaw and everything went red. GAME OVER “Awe, heck. This is harder than I thought”, Button said while putting down his controller. Why did Sweetie Belle suggest Silent Hill 2? The look on his face should have said it all. “Maybe we shouldn’t play that one, hehe”, she said, shivering. “Ok, you’re right. What should we do now?”, Button said, pondering. The two sat in silence, unsure of what they could do together. Button suddenly had an idea, but he wasn’t sure Sweetie would agree. “Uh, Sweetie Belle?”, Button said. “Yep?”, she replied. “I have an idea, but I don’t think you’ll like it”, he said with an unsure expression. Sweetie trusted Button, but his tone did concern her. “What did you have in mind?”, she asked. “Well......there’s this house over by the cemetery. Ponies say it’s haunted. I’ve always wanted to go, but I never had the chance. Who knows, maybe we’ll find you’ll find your Cutie Mark in ghost hunting.”, he added. Sweetie tightened up inside. She had heard about that place, it held many mysteries. “I don’t know Button, that place gives me the creeps when ever I walk by it. It doesn’t exactly seem like the friendliest place.”, Sweetie said. Button nodded and sat back down. Maybe it wasn’t the best idea. “But, I’m willing to go if you’re there with me. Your brave, Button. I trust you”, she said, holding Button’s hoof. It was clear what Button had to do. He was going to face the fear head on, for Sweetie Belle. —————————————————————— When two approached the abandoned structure, it became clear of its age. Nature had engulfed this two story settlement to its full extent. The windows were all shattered, but all still reflected. The creepiness factor was at an all time high, and you could cut the terror with a knife. “Are you stare you want to go in Sweetie Belle? We can just go back home and do something else. It’s fine by me”, Button said. “To tell you the truth, that’s what I would like. Let’s g-“, she was interrupted. There, on a cloudy summer morning, they heard the most bone chilling sound a pony could hear. It sounded like a scream, but it was so low in pitch, that it sounded like a moan. It shook the house ‘s frame. Then, something fell out of the window. It was a doll. “Nope!”, Button said before running off. Sweetie didn’t even argue as both she and button ran from the ominous home. They hadn’t even entered the home.
BM and SB: Musical BlissView OnlineButton Mash: In Love?BM and SB: Musical Bliss“This is good Button, where did you find this song?”, Sweetie Belle asked. “I found it while on a trip to Manehattan, the band was playing in a club, and we walked by the club. I stopped and listened to them until my family came back to get me, which an hour later.”, Button said. The song in question was Hybrid Moments by Misfits, a punk band that had been around for quite a long time. Sweetie was honestly suprised that Button liked this kind of music, but I suited him nonetheless. “Can we listen to some more? I’m really digging this”, she said, sitting down in front of the record player. “Of course, you pick one”, he said. She skimmed on the shelf, seeing names that interested her. Sum 41, Blink 182, Goldfinger, The Hippos, and Less Than Jake were just some of the names she saw. And then she found two that made her really curious. One was and album called Nevermind by Nirvana, and the cover had a baby colt swimming in a pool. The other was Coltifornication, an album by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, which was....Well...It was Coltifornication. “Oh, these are good choices. Honestly, my two favorite albums of all time”, he said with a happy smile. Sweetie picked Nevermind and put it into the record player. The first track hit her like ton of bricks, she had never heard anything like it before. She sat in complete bliss as the violent notes hit her ears, then exploded into a riff that could shape a generation. “Do you like it? It’s called Smells Like Teen Spirit, it’s a classic”, Button said. Sweetie lit up at the chorus and began to jump to the beat. Button joined her as they created their own make shift mosh pit. As the song drew towards it close, Sweetie wiped sweat off her brow, she had been wrapped in a beautiful, violent, and emotional rollercoaster of music. “Your dang right I enjoyed it! How come I’ve never heard of it?”, she said. “Well, they were very popular about 20 years ago, and their lead singer Kolt Cobain committed suicide. It’s sad really, they were so good”, he said sadly. Sweetie nodded and picked up Coltifornication, and switched on the first track. Like Nevermind, the first track blew her away. The bass rumbled and then exploded into a fast and violent ensemble of guitar and drums. She was so happy that her grin widened each second. Button was sure happy that she liked his music, other ponies didn’t share his tastes, but that didn’t matter. Sweetie was happy, so he was happy. The song ended and she just kept smiling. It was a special moment, and she was glad that they shared it.
