Operation Impossible (grimdark)
Apple Bloom slept quietly in the small bed. Her ribbon was tied neatly, not in her silky red mane, but onto a strange string that seemed to come from the ceiling. The young filly opened her sticky and tired eyes. "Where am I?" Apple Bloom asked, panicked. The young earth pony twitched her gaze around the room. It was covered in unfriendly dark grey bricks, and pools of red liquid covered the floor, next to Apple Bloom's bed. There was also a large white bowl that rested on a table near the bed. Apple Bloom slowly strained to lift herself up. Instead, the filly propped her pillow up onto the head of the strange bed. Apple Bloom peeked her head over the edge of the bed, only slightly being yanked painfully back by the string that pierced her flesh.
"Yaaaah!" Apple Bloom screeched in pain. The cry of agony echoed throughout the room. But, that did not stop curiosity from trying to pull Apple Bloom closer to the bowl. Ignoring the pain in her arm, she leaned over the bed and was panicked at what she saw.
Resting in the bowl, was a bleeding liver, and it was covered in blood that filled the bowl. Apple Bloom gasped in panic. The contents of the bowl had startled her. Apple Bloom's train of thought was broken, when she heard hoof steps and thumping coming from an air vent hat was on the ceiling. "Hello?" Apple Bloom spoke to the sound.
"Go back to sleep." the quiet voice answered sternly.
"But..." "Who are you?" Apple Bloom protested. "Hold on!" "I'm bringing an intestine!' The voice called back to the filly.
"W...What?" Apple Bloom's voice shook.
"I told you to go to sleep!" The voice angrily shouted. A hoof boomed on the floor and the sound echoed into what seemed like every room. Apple Bloom did not feel like obeying. She pulled the soft white blanket off of her.
"I need to leave." Apple Bloom announced to herself.
The filly attempted to swiftly flee the bed, but she was yanked back again. But, this time a sharp blood-covered needle flew out of her skin. Pain shot through Apple Bloom. The needle slammed against the wall, as it echoed. Her leg was bleeding horribly. However, Apple Bloom could still mange to stand properly. Blood gushed and seeped from the wound. Apple Bloom collapsed and let out a sharp wail of agony.
"You're not asleep, aren't you?" The shy sounding voice came again suddenly. Apple Bloom froze in fear at the slightly ominous voice. "I'm coming with an intestine!" the voice urgently called. Apple Bloom's heart thumped loudly, as she heard the clatter of hooves coming towards her.
"Leave me alone!" The filly wailed.
"Hold on!" "The intestine is coming!" the voice called again. A scream that was not Apple Bloom's own shook the building.
"aaaaaaaaaahhhh!" "Give me my intestine!" "I need it back!" the screams turned into wailing and crying. "That is mine!" somepony screamed at the shy voice. The screaming voice appeared to be country-like and reminded Apple Bloom of her own voice. But, Apple Bloom was again cut off by the clatter of the vent cover. It slammed to the floor, and a light yellow pony fluttered down from inside of it. In her mouth, was a long stringy intestine. Blood dripped onto the floor, creating a puddle on Apple Bloom's old gurney.
The yellow Pegasus had black eyes, with thin red pupils that glowed ominously. The black seeped out of her eyes. Tears ran down Apple Bloom's face. He cheeks were wet with tears, as the water puddled beneath her hooves. "It's me your, friend, Fluttershy." The voice sounded assuring, yet so ominous. "Don't you like me, Apple Bloom?" Fluttershy's somewhat sad cry shook the air. "You don't, do you?" She decided immediately. "Don't you know what happens to my old friends who find this place?" Fluttershy asked, almost evilly.
"N..No." Apple Bloom stammered in fear. Fluttershy did not respond after that.
Instead, she fluttered over to a medical cabinet, and pulled out, what seemed to be a scalpel. "I need to operate on you." Fluttershy patted Apple Bloom's head gently. Before Fluttershy did anything to Apple Bloom, she quickly trotted over to a spinning circular saw, and ran the blade across it. "I can't forget to sharpen it." "You know, wouldn't want it to take long to cut into you." "It would be more painful that way." Fluttershy passed the statement off as if Apple Bloom would enjoy the news. "Stay there, Apple Bloom." Flutterhsy ordered. " I need to go get something." She told her, as she flew back into the air vent on the ceiling. Horror filled Apple Bloom's mind, as she stared at the many sharp tools on the medical table.
"Why is Fluttershy doing this?" Apple Bloom asked nobody but herself. She twitched her ears, as she heard another scream of agony split the air. It echoed through the hallways.
Sounds of drilling and squishing filled the room. It was undoubtedly the sound of flesh tearing and ripping apart. More blood poured from the ceiling. "Stop it Fluttershy!" Apple Bloom screamed in the other pony's defense.
"I'm coming back soon." Fluttershy called.
"I have to get out of here!" Apple Bloom yelled to herself. But, her side was aching horribly and she did not spot an exit anywhere in the facility. Apple Bloom started to wail. "Fluttershy, please!" She pleaded. "Let me go home!" "I wanna leave!" Fluttershy paused for a moment, then suddenly spoke.
"But, Apple Bloom, if you leave you might tell someone." "Also, this operation needs to be done." She answered Apple Bloom.
"I won't tell a soul!" Apple Bloom promised.
"That is not enough." Fluttershy decided. The sound of a saw whirring interrupted what Apple Bloom was going to say in reply.
"Fluttershy, w..what is that awful noise?" Apple Bloom was surprisingly looking to the now evil pony for comfort.
"It's only a chainsaw, Apple Bloom." Fluttershy assured her. "I needed it to finish off Applejack." She quietly told Apple Bloom. Hot tears finally ran down Apple Bloom's face fast.
"No." "Not Applejack..." Apple Bloom croaked. "Please stop, Fluttershy!" She begged once again.
"I told you that I don't take promises!" Fluttershy said, just before fluttering back down through the vent.
"I thought we were friends." Apple Bloom cried.
"But, we are." Fluttershy assured her. "Just because you will be gone, does not mean that you aren't my friend." She told the filly. "Now lay in the bed." Fluttershy ordered sternly. This time, Apple Bloom obeyed. The filly curled up in the uncomfortable gurney. She could escape if she wanted, but the pain was too strong. A large smile spread across Fluttershy's face, as the Pegasus pony flew towards Apple Bloom, a sharp chainsaw in her mouth. The saw started whirring again, and the blades already held blood of who knows how many ponies. Apple Bloom stared and Fluttershy again. Her teeth were bloodstained and they seemed to be able to slice through any flesh. But, she was cut from her thoughts once again, by the nearing chainsaw blades. They approached her ear. Apple Bloom clenched her teeth, and held back yelping in pain, as the blade tore through the flesh near her ear. Tears welled in Apple Bloom's eyes. "I'm sorry that I can't put you to sleep for this." Fluttershy apologized. "But, I wasted it all on Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle." "They lasted a while awake." Fluttershy continued speaking.
"Not my friends!" Apple Bloom cried in agony.
But, it was not mostly for the loss of her two friends. But, it was the sight of a blood covered ear that fell onto the cold hard floor. Hearing was getting horribly hard for Apple Bloom. "aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!" "eeeeeeeeeechhh!" She screamed in pain. Fluttershy ignored the filly pleading and screaming for help. She instead, trotted over to the scalpel again. The yellow pony picked the blood covered scalpel in her mouth. Her red pupils glowed happily, as she neared Apple Bloom. The filly struggled in the bed, and backed away from Fluttershy. "aaaaaeeeeeek!" Apple Bloom screeched. The blade had dug into her hoof bone. Flesh tore, as Fluttershy worked the scalpel down her leg. It was piercing through the filly's skin. Pain flowed through Apple Bloom's body, as the small knife caused a bone in her leg to fly out and smack Fluttershy in the cheek.
"Your body is quite stubborn." Fluttershy giggled, as if the joke was actually funny.
The Pegasus had a bleeding cheek, but she ignored the oozing blood and continued to work, through Apple Bloom's leg. "You're not screaming as much as your wimpy friends did when I operated on them." Fluttershy complimented the filly. "They were screaming every second, so I had to kill them faster to get rid of the annoyance." She explained the horrid tale. "Your sister cried a bit, but she didn't last long." Fluttershy said, as she carefully pulled out a syringe from a plastic bag, and inserted a blue liquid into it. "I just dumped Applejack into the giant circular saw." She giggled wildly. Apple Bloom could not stand another moment in this place. She very much wished to go home. However, Fluttershy did have the horrible intent of keeping her here, until she was slaughtered. "This liquid puts you to sleep forever." Fluttershy explained, just before dumping the horribly tasting liquid in the filly's mouth, and forced it down her throat. "I'm so sorry." "You had to go this way." "But, you are lasting too long, and you might survive if I do it the traditional way. Apple Bloom struggled to breathe. She wheezed and coughed, just before becoming limp and cold, with no sign of life. "Finally, she is punished." Fluttershy finally said, before exiting the room.
