On the outskirts of Equestria, in the east, was a barren and desolate land that no pony dared to go without a very good reason. This was the Dragonlands, home to the vast majority of dragons in Equestria.
It was a rocky and mountainous region devoid of nearly all plant life and very few creatures. The only things that were in an abundance here were dragons and their gemstones. They greedily kept their treasures deep within caves on the sides of the mountains. The deeper into the Dragonlands one went, the more dragons resided with even greater hoards of treasure and in the center of all this was a castle carved out of the largest mountain. This was the home of the Dragon Lord, the dragon who ruled and could command any and all of the other dragons. The current Dragon Lord’s name was Ember. She was a small blue dragon with red eyes and curved horns on the sides of her head and sharp blue spikes that ran down her back and a small pair of blue wings.
Princess Celestia, had long since lowered the moon and her younger sister, Princess Luna had raised a crescent moon for all those living in Equestria to sleep under including the dragons. They were all nestled close to their treasures, dreaming of all the treasures they would add to their horde the next day. “Spike?” she yawned. “Is that you?”
“Woah!” he shouted loudly and fully awoke Twilight who leapt out of bed and galloped down to his room.
“What’s going on?” asked Starlight Glimmer who had also been woken by Spike’s outbursts. She was a pink unicorn with purple eyes. Her mane and tail were also purple and similar to Twilight, they had a light blue streak in them. Her cutie mark had a purple star on it with a light blue swirl over top of it.
“Something is wrong with Spike,” Twilight answered and Starlight joined Twilight in racing to Spike’s room. “Spike! Are you okay?”
“T-Twilight!” he called from the other side of the doors to his room. “Please! Please don’t come in here!”
“Why?” she asked stopping in front of the doors. “What’s going on in there?”
“Uh,” Spike hesitated for a moment. “I just had a bad dream is all.” He let out a nervous chuckle. “No need to come in. J-just go back to bed.”
“I just want to check on you real quick,” she said.

He was also the only dragon around that lacked a set of wings. Like all the dragons in the Dragon Lands, his scales were also aglow and he struggled to keep his blanket covering him and scratching his burning scales. “I told you I’m fine.”
“But you’re glowing,” Twilight pointed out. “That means that the Dragon Lord is summoning all the dragons in Equestria.”
“Kind of a weird hour to do something like that,” Starlight commented. “It’s the middle of the night. Couldn’t this wait till morning?”
“My thoughts exactly,” agreed Spike. “Why don’t we all just get some sleep and we can deal with this in the morning?”
“But doesn’t the summons burn and itch like crazy?” asked Twilight seeing Spike fail to act like it didn’t bother him.
“A little, but I’ve been summoned by Ember lots of times before and I’m used to it,” he explained.
“But you are still acting strange,” Starlight noticed. “You’re hiding something under that blanket.”
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” he stated, but from how profusely he was sweating it only made him more suspect.
Using her magic, Starlight attempted to pulled the blanket from Spike, but he clung to it tightly. “Looks like you might not need to bother,” replied Starlight as she spotted a twin trail of smoke floating through the air towards Twilight. Then out of the two trails of smoke appeared two scrolls, one written for Spike and the second for Twilight.
“Seems Ember wanted to make sure we were up to speed,” figured Twilight. “Hey, Spike. We got some letters from Ember. You almost done in there?”
“Uh, all clean,” Spike said bashfully coming out. He took the letter written for him and started to read it. Immediately, Spike started to blush even more than he had earlier and trembled a bit getting weak in the knees and sweating.
“Is something the matter?” wondered Twilight. “What’s it say?”
“Its, uh, private,” stuttered Spike. “But it basically says I need to get over to the Dragonlands right away so I better get to packing.” Hurrying back to his room, Spike slammed the door and breathed heavily as he went to read the letter once more.

By the time you have gotten this I suspect you have already had a rather rude awakening. I would like to apologize for any embarrassment that might have caused since that was my fault. You see, while I have helped you and Twilight learn a great deal about your dragon heritage, there was one thing in particular I have neglected to mention, the Dragon Mating Season.
It is an event that occurs when the Dragon Lord’s body is in heat. For my father, Torch, the previous Dragon Lord, it occurred much, much later in his rule like it does for most Dragon Lords. For it to happen now, after only seven years is unprecedented, but I believe I may know the reason. While the Dragon Mating Season relies mostly on the biology of the Dragon Lord, should they find someone they fall in love with and yearn to mate with, that can hasten this.
For the last seven years, we have worked together with Princess Twilight in trying to bridge the gap between dragons and ponies with varying successes. In that time, we have grown closer and I have seen you go from an odd little shrimp, into a strong and noble dragon. I must confess that I have been feeling a strong connection to you for a while now and with the mating season about to begin I am now convinced about it.
While the Dragon Mating Season is meant to allow dragons to breed, it is also the time for the Dragonlord to choose a mate to bear a prince or princess. “Prepare?” asked Starlight. “For the dragon summons? I understand Spike needing to get ready, but can’t we at least wait till morning?”
“No!” answered Twilight leaving the scroll for Starlight to read. “This is a once in a lifetime event. We can’t afford to waste even a second!”
“Just what is written here that is making everyone act so crazy?” wondered Starlight as she read the letter.

By the time you get this I’m sure that you have learned that Spike has been summoned by me to come to the Dragon Lands. This letter is to inform you NOT TO GET INVOLVED! “Yup,” sighed Starlight. “I should have just stayed in bed.”
Celestia had already raised the sun high by the time Spike managed to reach the Dragon Lands and make his way to the gathering grounds. The Dragon Lord’s summons had worn off shortly after he arrived despite Ember still being nowhere in sight. “She has to be around here somewhere,” pondered Spike. “She lives here so there’s no way I could have arrived first.
As he searched, Spike began to recall the first time he had received the calling from the Dragon Lord. It was when the previous Dragon Lord, Torch, decided it was time to choose his successor by competing in a trial known as the Gauntlet of Fire. It had been one of the most dangerous things he had ever had to do, but it had also been one of the courageous and memorable things he had to do too. It was where he first met Ember and where he had triumphed over the other dragons to win the gauntlet before he chose to give the title of Dragon Lord to Ember in good faith and friendship.
Since then, he had been back many times after whenever Ember did a summons. However, this time he could sense things were far different than they usually were. The smell of lust was thick in the air coming from the many other dragons already gathered around, himself included. She along with Twilight, Starlight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy were all hidden in the middle of where all the dragons had gathered wearing disguises that resembled rocks to hide in plain sight. “As long as we remain calm we’ll be fine,” promised Twilight. “And if we do get in danger Starlight and I will be ready to send us all back home in an instant.”
“Besides, why would you want to leave now?” asked Pinkie Pike, a pink pony with blue eyes, a curly pink mane and tail, and balloons for her cutie mark. “The party hasn’t even started yet and all these dragons look so excited for it. And seeing them so excited makes me excited and it makes me want to try and throw a party like this when we get back.”
“I don’t think Ponyville is ready for this kind of party,” Starlight commented and panting as she found it hot and hard to breathe as much as all the others.
“Is it just me or has it just been getting hotter and hotter since we got here?” asked Applejack an orange pony with freckles on her face, blond hair and a tail, green eyes, and three red apples for her cutie mark. She also had on her trademark hat. “Cause I’m sweating more than a hog at harvest time.”
“It’s not just you,” explained Twilight checking on a thermometer. The mercury inside it was slowly, but noticeably rising up. “It was around 70 degrees around the time we got here, but now it’s nearly 90 and rising. This is so incredible!”
“Shh!” the other ponies hushed her.
“Sorry,” Twilight apologized more quietly.
“How is that incredible?” asked Rarity, a white pony with a well-styled, purple mane and tail. Her eyes were blue and she had a cutie mark of diamonds. “I don’t like to sweat unless we’re at the spa and I see no towels, massage ponies, or scented baths.”
“There’s some mud over there,” pointed Pinkie.
“Yeah, but that mud’s not imported,” Rarity told her.
“Please everyone,” Twilight said steering the conversation back to the research. “The temperature has been rising bit by bit as more dragons arrive. It seems that this mating lust they have is raising up their body temperature and for creatures capable of breathing fire it is a significant increase. And with so many gathered it is even enough to raise the temperature of the environment.”
“Kind of gives new meaning to being in heat,” joked Starlight. “But in all seriousness, how hot is it going to get?”
“I’m not sure, but the temperature is nearly 100 degrees now,” Twilight explained. “It’s hard not to sweat now. I just hope that the dragons don’t pick up our scent.”
“They seem too busy to even care,” observed Rarity. “And I doubt they’d notice the smell of a few sweaty ponies when there are a hundred dragons reeking of perspiration. Oh, this must be what a hoofball team’s laundry must smell like.”
“That isn’t sweat you’re smelling,” Twilight corrected. “Well, there is the smell of sweat mixed in, but the dragons’ sex glands are giving off pheromones to help make them more alluring. It’s easy to see this whole thing turning into one massive orgy once things get started. I’m a little amazed they haven’t started already, Dragon Lord or not.”

“I suppose it is possible if we let our guard down and give in to temptation,” admitted Twilight. “But so long as we keep our wits I see it not being a problem.”

“Are you sure?” asked Applejack. “We will get into a heap of trouble if we’re discovered.”
“I assure you,” Rarity stated quite adamantly. “As a lady I will remain calm and composed throughout.”
Sighing, Twilight decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and then returned to her research. With a quill floating with magic, she started to write down notes. “The mating should be starting soon so we better be fully prepared to write down all we can. And as long as we focus on research we shouldn’t be affected by the dragon pheromones ourselves. Everyone got that?”
“Uh, huh,” they replied rather unsure if they could be as into research as Twilight to keep themselves from getting aroused. “We’re glad too since you’ve been practically family since you first came to live with us,” Mrs. Cake reminded her. “You even helped us raise our own little ones and now Pound and Pumpkin are eager to lend you a hoof in helping raise your own bundle of joy. We just hope taking care of your baby won’t be too much for them to handle.”
“Why?” asked Pinkie Pie. “Because he’ll be part dragon?”
“Uh, more because he’ll be part Pinkie Pie,” the Cakes joked.
“Now I told you, Big Mac,” Applejack argued with her older brother from bed. A red-haired horse, green eyes, and a reddish orange mane. He had a harness on his neck like he usually did and he had a green apple half for a cutie mark. Compared to most stallions he had a notably bigger and stronger build. “I am still plenty fit to work the fields. I shouldn’t be due for a couple more months at least.”
“Nope,” answered Big Mac, a pony of few words.
“Oh, come on now,” pleaded Applejack now turning to her grandmother, Granny Smith. She was an elderly pony with pale green hair, a grayed mane and tail both done up in a bun, and yellowish orange eyes. She had a pie in a tin for a cutie mark. Her body was thin and wrinkled, but despite her age she still had a strong air of authority on their home in Sweet Apple Acres.
“Now listen here, child,” Granny Smith lectured. “You aren’t in any condition to putting any strain on yourself with a bun in the oven. Besides, half pint and her friends volunteered to pitch in and take care of your chores so there really is no need for you to fret. You’ll stay in this bed and take care of the little seed growing inside of you, do I make myself clear?”
“Yes, granny,” she conceded seeing that her her stubbornness had lost to her grandmother’s. “But do I gotta keep on drinking this apple broth? I like apples as much as the next pony, but I’ve been drinking three bowls of this a day ever since we found out I was pregnant and, well, enough is enough.”
“Fiddle faddle,” she scoffed. “This apple broth recipe has been in the Apple family for generations. There ain’t anything better for you to have while nurturing a life inside of you. It’s got plenty of nutrition and will keep away the morning sickness.”
“Only cause I’m sicker from drinking this all the time,” she retorted silently.
“Now finish the rest and then take your afternoon nap and I don’t want to hear any more complaints about it, right Big Mac?”
“Uh… eyup,” he answered after a slight pause and then left with Granny and closed the door.
Applejack took the bowl of apple broth and looked at it for a moment and groaned at the thought of taking one more sip and instead poured it into a nearby flower pot. She then rested her head on her pillow and stared up at the ceiling. “Ugh, I’m going stir crazy being cooped up in here. I bet Rainbow Dash doesn’t have to put up with all this.”
“I bet Applejack isn’t putting up with all this nurturing nonsense,” groaned Rainbow Dash to Fluttershy as she was laying on a couch in her friend’s cottage. The two ponies were surrounded by all of Flutttershy’s animal friends and led by Angel Bunny, keeping a close eye on them.
“Now, Rainbow Dash,” Fluttershy said calmly resting on the couch beside her. “We have to take it easy for our babies. We can’t do anything too strenuous and that includes things like flying.”
“Ugh, I know that,” grumbled Rainbow Dash. “But I’m going stir crazy just laying around and if that wasn’t bad enough, you can imagine the field day the other Wonderbolts had when I told them I needed to be on maternity leave. Half were just stunned, mouth agape and the others were poking fun that ‘super awesome and radical, Rainbow Dash, the greatest flyer the Wonderbolt’s ever had’ was retiring to be a mommy.”
“Well, that’s not so bad,” Fluttershy pointed out. “They did say you were the greatest flyer in the Wonderbolts ever, after all.”
“Actually,” she admitted. “I was quoting myself. Anyway, to save face a bit, I told them that not only was I not retiring to do mommy stuff, but I was coming back and bringing along the first ever dragon to join the Wonderbolts.”
“That sounds amazing,” smiled Fluttershy. “I just hope my own little bundle of joy will be happy and healthy. Oh, and get along well with everyone.”
“I doubt that will be a problem,” Rainbow commented. “All your animal friends are working this hard to take care of you as much as you usually take care of them. They’re probably just as excited for the birth as we are. Isn’t that right my little, cutie pie, uh, I mean, my big, bad, ultra rad dragon. You’ll be the most awesome thing to ever happen to the Wonderbolts since… well… me. But that only makes sense since you’ll be taking after me.”
As Fluttershy giggled watching Rainbow go on about how awesome her baby was going to be, Angel hopped over to Fluttershy with a fresh bowl of soup. Placing it on the table, he spooned some out, blew on it and brought it to her muzzle. “Oh, thank you Angel. You’re taking such good care of me and I know you’ll make a great godbunny too.” Angel nodded and got another spoonful of soup ready. “I wonder how all the others are doing now.”
“Hey, sis, are you sure the baby is going to need all these clothes?” asked Sweetie Bell looking at her boutique that was filled with months of work of baby clothes.
“But of course,” Rarity assured her. “I have to make sure that I make the right size clothes for my little darling and I’ll need an outfit that will go with the color of their scales. Since I have no idea what they will be like I have to cover all my bases and I’m sure the others will need outfits too so even the extras won’t go to waste.”
“If you say so,” she answered. “But is it a smart idea to use gemstones on the clothes? Won’t they just eat them?”
“I will only give the best to my child,” Rarity stated proudly. “And that includes gems whether they be for fashion or food. Oh, and speaking of food, could you be a dear and bring that bowl of rubies outside. My Garble Warble, is probably getting hungry.”
“He’s been out there for a couple months now,” noted Sweetie Bell. “All I’ve seen him do is scowl at anypony that walks by and snort smoke out his nose. And you’re saying he’s the father?”
“I am quite sure about that,” Rarity said. “And he does peek in from time to time. He’s got a lot of rough edges, but there is a beauty within. A diamond in the rough if you will.”
“Is that what you saw in him when you two had sex?” Sweetie Bell asked. “Cause when I asked the others they said it was because he had a-”
“Please, take these rubies out to him!” Rarity ordered abruptly her face blushing brightly and she practically shoved her sister out the door.
“Uh, here you go,” Sweetie Bell said holding out the bowl of rubies to Garble.
“These from Rarity?” he asked not making eye contact with her and just continued to look distant.
“Yeah,” she nodded. “Uh, you know, you don’t have to stay outside. You can go in. I’m sure it’d make Rarity happy if you did.”
“What makes you think I came here for her?” asked Garble trying to be aloof, but the Rarity in a heart t-shirt he had on did anything but mask his feelings for her. “Just leave the gems and I’ll eat them when I feel like it.”
Placing them beside Garble, Sweetie Bell took her leave. “It’s kind of strange seeing a dragon other than Spike pining over Rarity,” she thought. “Speaking of Spike, I wonder how he’s doing. He’s been in the Dragon Lands for a while now.”
“Pass the salt,” former Dragon Lord Torch requested to Spike, though with how loud and aggressive his voice blasted, it sounded more like a command. The two were in the castle of the Dragon Lord in the dining hall and, while it was quite vast, it was essentially a massive table that only gigantic creatures like fully grown dragons could sit at and properly eat from. For anyone else, they had to stand atop the table to get at the food.
“Uh, coming right up,” answered Spike as he walked over to the salt shaker that was larger than he was. It took all his strength to push it towards Torch.
“Some time today, if you would,” Torch growled getting impatient and Spike tried even harder. It took almost ten minutes, but he finally brought it close enough for Torch to pick it up and pour some onto his plate of gemstones. He then placed it down beside Spike. “You can put it back now.”
“Uh,” hesitated Spike for a moment not wanting to have to go through all that again. “Maybe later.”
“So, tell me young dragon, how has Ember been doing with my grandchild to be?” he questioned.
“She’s been doing fine,” Spike answered. “All the dragons from all over have been coming around to see her and her egg, but all the countless visitors have been getting her kind of testy. How long does it take for a dragon egg to hatch?”
“The time can vary,” he explained. “It can take anywhere from nearly a year to decades. Maybe even a century in some cases. There are some dragon eggs out there from even before my reign that have yet to hatch.”
“Oh, I hope that won’t apply to my friends,” worried Spike. “I don’t think they want to be pregnant for that long.”
“Could you pass me the pepper now?” asked Torch not particularly interested in what Spike had to say if he didn’t inquire about it first.
Looking back across the massive table, Spike saw the pepper shaker back where he started.
“Coming right up,” groaned Spike trudging over to get it.
Several more months passed and Twilight, Starlight, and all the other ponies made their way over to the Dragon Lands to meet up with Spike and Ember. They met at the very same meeting grounds as they did before, the need for disguises unnecessary. When they saw one another, they could all see that none of them were empty handed.
“Guys!” called Spike excitedly hurrying over. “It’s been ages. I’ve missed you all so much!”
“We’ve missed you a lot too, Spike,” Twilight replied happily. “There’s so much we have to tell you about.”
“And looks like you’ve got some things to tell us about,” commented Starlight noticing Spike’s body was considerably more muscular and toned since they last saw him. “Have you been working out?”
“Well, I have had to pass some salt and pepper shakers around a lot for the last few months,” he told them chuckling. “And that was one heck of a workout.”
“What?” asked Starlight a bit confused.
“I’ll explain later, but don’t you all have something more important to show us?” asked Spike eagerly.
“Oh, well let us be the first to introduce you to our little bundles of joy,” Twilight said as she and Starlight showed Spike and Ember their newborns first. Looking at the babies, they saw they were half dragon and half pony. They had hooves for hind legs and claws for their front. Their bodies were covered in scales, but instead of spikes on their head and back, they had manes. Twilight’s little one had a bright red mane and sunny yellow scales. Her eyes were blue and she even had a horn and feather wings. Starlight’s child had navy blue scales and an indigo mane and gray eyes. He had a horn too and normal dragon wings.
“They’re so adorable,” stated Spike smiling with delight. “What are their names?”
“This here is Nova Flare,” Twilight said beaming with pride. “Seeing her bright sunny colors I decided to name her like the sun just like Princess Celestia.”
“And I named mine in honor of Princess Luna,” Starlight added. “My son’s name is Blue Moon.”
“Nice to meet you two,” said Spike rubbing their heads gently making them giggle and little embers come out of their maws.
“Were those the names you picked from the huge list I know you made?” Spike asked Twilight.
“I did make a list,” she admitted. “But when we saw them, we didn’t even need it.”
“Well, I think it fits them both perfectly,” stated Spike happily. “And they look like they like their names too.”
“Don’t forget about the rest of us now,” Applejack stated carrying over her own bundle of joy. “Here’s the apple of my eye so to speak, Pitaya.”
“Uh, Pit- what now?” asked Spike confused.
“Pitaya,” repeated Applejack, though the silence she got from the others showed they needed more of an explanation. “More commonly known as Dragon Fruit. For short we call him Pit. He’s a little fellow now, but I reckon he’ll be strong as an ox before long.”
Little Pit had fuschia scales and a light green mane and orange eyes. Spike tickled his belly with a claw only to have the young pony dragon show what a strong grip he had squeezing his claw tightly.
“You weren’t kidding,” chuckled Spike unable to get his finger free. “It must be that strong Apple blood he’s got in him.”
“Darn tooting,” Applejack agreed wholeheartedly.
“Well, if you think he’s cool, just wait till you see my awesome tot,” bragged Rainbow Dash showing off her child. “I wanted to name her something awesome like Super Mega Awesome Radical Dragon Dude, but that was a bit too much of a mouthful to say. Also, she’s not a dude. So I picked something shorter, but just as awesome. My little girl, and future Wonderbolt’s name is Storm Chaser.”
Storm Chaser had skyblue scales and scarlet eyes. Her mane had a rainbow colors in it just like her mother as did her feathered wings.
“If she’s going to be a Wonderbolt someday then she’s going to have a lot to live up to with you as her mother, second in command next to Spitfire and most skilled flier of all,” commented Spike.
“Not to mention breaker of all records even my own,” added Rainbow Dash. “But everyday I’m helping little Stormy here exercise her wings so she’ll be taking to the skies in no time. If you want to be awesome at something you have to give it your all from day one.”
“So, who’s next?” asked Spike still wrestling with Pit to get his claw free, but finding it hard even with his increased effort.
“I’ll go next,” answered Rarity bringing over 2 carriages.
“You had twins?” asked Spike a bit shocked as he went over to see. The first one had snow white scales and sapphire blue eyes and her mane was a shimmering gold. She was quietly asleep like a little angel. The other one had fiery red scales and scary orange eyes. Her orange mane was shorter and far more unkempt. This one was busy gnawing at her own tail despite its baby teeth had not come in yet.
“Let me guess,” commented Spike looking at the sleeping baby. “This one takes after you.” He then looked back at the other one that snorted some smoke out of her nose. “And this one takes after daddy, right?”
“Yes, but they are both equally my priceless treasures,” Rarity explained. “My little one getting her beauty rest on the left is Precious Gem and her sister on the right is Rough Diamond.”
“So, has daddy been around to see them?” asked Spike curiously.
“Quite constantly,” Rarity said. “But he’s always kept his distance usually peeking in from a window. It’s not like the door is even locked, but him and that stubborn pride of his.”
“Is it my turn yet?” asked Pinkie eagerly wanting to have her turn. She was rocking her baby eagerly in her arms and the little one was giggling happily, having fun. He had bright blue scales and eyes to match. His mane was a few shades darker and curly as Pinkie’s mane was. He was also noticeably a fair bit chubbier looking than all the other babies with his muzzle covered in gem dust. “I named my son after my dad so his name is Igneous Rock Pie, but I like to call his Iggy for short. I was so excited waiting for him to be born I’ve already planned out his first twenty birthdays, his wedding day and his first, tenth, and twenty fifth wedding anniversaries.”
“And looks like he’s got just as big of a sweet tooth as his mother does,” joked Spike seeing Iggy licking at the gem dust around his muzzle. He gave his belly a little poke with his free arm. Spike had already given up trying to free his other arm from Pit who was sucking on his claw now. “Now all that leaves from your group is Fluttershy.”
“She’s a bit shy,” warned Fluttershy as she brought her baby over. She had a blanket wrapped over most of her body, but they could see a pair of gray eyes peeking out at them curiously. “There there little one,” Fluttershy cooed. “It’s okay, everyone here is a friend who loves you so very much.” Fluttershy gently petting her child on the head as she carefully helped take the blanket off of her. Even when the blanket came off, she still hugged onto it tightly. This one had pale yellow scales and a white mane and feathered wings.
“She sure is shy,” agreed Spike. “What’s her name?”
“It was really hard to pick a name,” explained Fluttershy. “Angel had some ideas and so did Discord, but they were having a hard time agreeing on one. I just couldn’t decide for the longest time, but then we finally agreed on one. Her name is Summer Snow.”
“Uh, Summer Snow?” asked Spike a bit confused.
“Well, Angel wanted a seasony name and Discord wanted a chaosy name,” Fluttershy told him. “It wasn’t easy to find a name that worked for what they both wanted, but seeing Summer was so warm in my arms and yet her mane and wings were as white as snow it just came to us all at the same time.”
“That’s very sweet,” admitted Spike moving a bit closer to get a better look at Summer Snow only to have her hide under her blanket again.
“Sorry, it takes her a little while to warm up to new ponies, but she will in time,” Fluttershy said to them.
“That’s fine,” agreed Spike. “And now we can show you our child.”
“Let us be the first to introduce you to our daughter,” announced Ember. “Princess Blaze.” Holding her baby dragon in her arms for everyone to see, she was a full dragon like her parents. She had purple scales and green spikes just like her father, but she had her mother’s eyes. She also had her mother’s horns though they were just nubs right now and had a long way to go.
“She’s so beautiful,” stated Twilight. “You both did a wonderful job.”
“So did all of you,” replied Spike. “You think all our children will be just as much friends as we are to one another?”
“I don’t have any doubt about that,” smiled Twilight.
“If you are all done now with the chitchat,” interrupted Photo Finish. “It is about time for me to make the magics!”
“Oh, sorry about that,” Twilight apologized. “I think we’re all ready for the group photo. Everyone gather around.”
“Uh, Applejack,” Spike asked her. “Do you think you can help me get my claw back?”
“Come on now, Pit,” she said tickling his belly to make him laugh. “Let him go. You’ve got plenty of claws of your own to suck on.” Pit opened his maw to giggle happily and taking that opportunity Spike got his claw free, albeit covered in drool.
“Time to wake up little one,” cooed Rarity trying to gently wake Precious Gem but not upset her. Giving a slight yawn, she gently stirred awake.
“It’s okay, Summer Snow,” Fluttershy said calmly trying to take her blanket off her again. “We’re going to get our picture taken so you have to take off the blanket.” It took a bit of coaxing, but Fluttershy finally managed to win out. “Ok, we better take it quick.”
“Ok, Photo Finish, we’re all set,” announced Twilight.
“Then it is time to make with the magics!” she declared with her camera at the ready.
“Wait for us!” called Derpy as she flew towards all of them with Crackle right behind her and her own bundle of joy in her hooves.
“Is that Derpy and Crackle and a baby?” asked Spike surprised.
“I guess you didn’t see them back during the mating,” said Rainbow Dash.
“Eh… I’d ship it,” replied Spike.
