//-------------------------------------------------------// To the Moon and Back -by T-Storm- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// How it all Began.... //-------------------------------------------------------// How it all Began.... A young man about 21 years old was enjoying a happy life. There was nothing more he could ask for, everything he wanted, materialistically, he had gotten. Everything was great. Until one fateful night... This one night was nothing like any of the other nights he had encountered. He had been walking home, his brown, shaggy, long hair, blowing in the wind, as it softly touched his exposed skin from his beige shorts and red T-shirt. As he walked home, the moon was starting to peek itself out of the clouds. "Woah, it's getting late." He thought to himself. "I'd better get home." He started to speed up the pace of his walking as the moon started to reveal itself from beyond the clouds. Little did this young man know that once the full moon had revealed itself, there would be a change that he'd undergo. From seemingly out of nowhere, a royal blue ribbon like beam of magic had escape from a statue of a local high school. It began to follow the young man whilst he walking home. As the night got darker, the man sped up his walking pace to avoid any danger that may come his way. He was at the home stretch. "Just a few more steps, and I'll be at home!" He thought out loud He almost made it! All he had to do was walk to the door, open it and he would safe at home. How can that go wrong? Just as he was about to put his hand on the door, the full moon had shown itself through the night. Just let inches away from the door and the unknown magic had caught up with him. The royal blue beam of magic first loosely wrapped itself around his hand, then progressed throughout his body. While all this was happening, the young man could help but process everything that was happening at that very moment. "What's going on?!" He said. "What is this?!" The magic continues to swirl around his body for a few more seconds before suddenly drifting away to an unknown location. "What was that all about?" He asked before opening the door and entering to the inside his home. "Hmm. It was probably nothing." After getting dressed in his favorite pajamas, the young man decided to watch some TV for about an hour before going to bed. As he went to sleep, the magic reappeared at the window of his bedroom, and it stayed for a longer bit this time. Little did this young man that in a matter of days, months even, a lot more than just his life would change forever... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As the young man went to bed, the full moon began to show itself beyond the clouds, and the magic that had been bothersome to him before had come back again.Thistime, however, the young man didn't seem to notice. Mostly because he was asleep. At precisely 12:00 midnight, the magic had began to consume the young man's body, and started to make alterations to it. The magic went inside the young man's body and began to alter the hormones within. It didn't really do much to it, though. The magic was mainly focused on the man's arms, hands, legs, and feet. It made them more feminine and ever so slightly smaller than what he had been used to. The process of doing that alone took a few hours, and the sun was just beginning to rise. The magic had left the man's presence without leaving a trace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The lock on the young man's night stand began ringing. It just turned 6:00 in the morning. He sat upright on his bed and groaned. "Alright, already!" He mutter, when slamming the snooze button on his clock, hoping that would shut it up. He began to wipe his eyes when he noticed something odd about his hands. "Hmm. Is it just me, or do my hands look smaller than usual?" He's asked himself, aloud. "Eh, it's probably nothing." He got out of his bed and started doing his usual morning routine. As he continued, he noticed something off about not only his hands, but his arms, legs, and feet. They had looked and felt skinnier, smaller and a little less masculine. He didn't really pay that any mind though. After all it is the morning, and for all he knew, he was probably still half asleep, and what he seeing and feeling were all just things he was experiencing due to him not being fully awake yet. He went about the day as he normally would on a Friday, and after that was done, he went home and watched some Avengers. He couldn't really concentrate on TV though, since he took the fact that his shrunken limbs hadn't regrew themselves throughout the day into consideration. He couldn't help but think about it. "Was it a genetic mutation? Is there something medically wrong with him? Why are my limbs smaller than the would be? Am I cursed with something?" Those thoughts rolled around at the back of his mind while he prepared himself for bed. "Hopefully whatever this is will go away through the night." He said to himself before going to sleep once more. The magic had reappeared tonight, and this time, there was a bit more of it. It swirled around the man's body, as it began to alter his hormones again. It made his already altered limbs even more feminine, this time, taking away some of the hairs, and it did something extra to his body. Something that will make him look, and feel even more unusual. That took even more time than the previous night, and the magic left the man's body just as his alarm clock rang. Feeling more groggy, the young man sat upright on his bed and yawned. "Gee, it's Saturday, for crying out loud!" He mumbled, slamming his alarm clock. When he rubbed his eyes, he notice his limbs were a lot less manly than yesterday morning. Not only that but the face felt different too. Bit that wasn't the main issue. When he proceeded to the bathroom, he looked at the mirror and covered his mouth in complete shock. His face and body were all a light, yet noticeable shade of blue. How could that be? He wasn't choking, he didn't have any diseases, and he felt perfectly fine. What was going on with him? "I-I-I'm BLUE! He yelled at the top of his lungs. He started to panic, before he looked in the mirror again for anything else that was unfamiliar. And come to think of it, the bone structure of his face looked slightly altered too. "Ok, I have got to see a doctor!" The man said before proceeding with his morning routine. After getting dressed and waiting his breakfast, he'd grabbed his keys, and rushed out of the house. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile in far away land of Equestria, Princess Celestia was about to lower the Moon, in order to raise the sun. Before she did, she looked at the Moon and sighed. "I'm sorry, Luna. But you've made me do it." She said sadly, as she began to raise the sun for Equestria. Little did Celestia know, that she didn't really banish Luna to the moon... Author's Note I was originally planning on doing two chapters, but I thought the connection wouldn't be there, so I combined the both into one. (Plus, there's the whole 1,000 word minimum!) This was also made as a request by JimmyHook19. I deeply apologize if the chapter feels rushed or it feels like a let down for any of you who are reading. I'm trying my best to make this story as good as possible, (I'm in college and I have stuff due so that's not helping!) :fluttercry: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/fluttercry.png Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed and let me know of any errors. //-------------------------------------------------------// Wait... I'm WHAT?! //-------------------------------------------------------// Wait... I'm WHAT?! (Credit to Sunset-Peril for the title) After his recent discovery, the young man rushed to the nearest hospital to find out what was wrong with him. The fact that his bodily features were getting more feminine by the night was a bit startling enough. Now that he was starting to turn blue, he knew that he had to get some answers. When he finally got to the hospital, he checked himself, using one of the walls from a nearby bus stop as a mirror, to make sure he was healthy. "I'm not choking, there are no unknown freakish diseases that I have, I'm practically healthy!" He said to himself. He went inside and stepped toward the front desk. "Yes? How may I help you?" A female nurse asked while looking at her stack of papers. The young man panted a few breaths before saying; "Yes, I'd like to see a doctor who's available." "I'll see who I can get for--" The female nurse started before screaming in horror at the young man's skin tone. This confused the young man. The female nurse called for an emergency room that was available. Next thing he knew, there was a whole team of doctors and nurses at the front desk, ready to take the young man to the ER. He didn't know why though. He got that his skin was unusually blue, but should the Doctor at least check to see if there was anything major, before jumping the gun? The doctors sprung into action as they started emergency prep for the young man. They put him on a stretched and rolled him to the nearest Emergency Room, while taking his temperature and his other credentials. While doing that, the doctors noticed something; he was perfectly healthy. No hypothermia, no malnutrition, nothing wrong with his blood, everything was normal. The female nurse who'd freaked out earlier instantly felt a little guilty. The head doctor immediately gave the nurse a stern look. " Nurse Mindy, I've told you not everything that looks odd is an emergency." He said, after calling off the emergency preparations. "Sorry." Nurse Mindy said before leaving the room. The rest of the doctors followed suit. "I'm Doctor Warcholak. Sorry for all the ruckus." The doctor apologized. The young man relied, "No worries. I can see why she freaked out." "Yes, your slightly tinted skin does look concerning. It looks like methemoglobinemia, but there was nothing wrong with your blood." The doctor continued, stroking his chin. "Methe-what?" The young man questioned with a confused look on his face. "Methemoglobinemia." Dr. Warcholak repeated. "Its an extremely rare genetic skin condition where the amount of methemoglobin is higher than usual, and causes the skin to be blue. But your blood is perfectly fine." "Oh, well thank goodness I don't have that!" The young man sighed with relief. But i still don't know why my skin is turning blue, or why body parts are starting to look less manly." The second part took Dr. Warcholak by surprise. "You say your body parts are becoming less masculine?" He asked. The young man nodded. With that, the doctor began a very close examination of the young man's body. "Have you been keeping up with your diet?" He asked. The young man nodded nervously. After the close examination, the doctor proceeded to take the man's height and weight. "After everything was done, Dr. Warcholak went back ti the young man with the results. "Well" he started "I have good news and bad news." The young man started to tense up a little. Dr. Warcholak continued. "The good news is everything is fine, your height and weight is that of a healthy male." He said happily. This made the young smile a little bit. But he still had the bad news to worry about. Dr. Warcholak took a deep breath before saying. "The bad news is we don't know the cause of the blue skin." "Oh" the young man said dejectedly. But his thought were quickly interrupted by a following statement. "There's one other thing." Dr. Warcholak said. The reason for the changing body parts is, well," he paused, wondering how the young man would take the news. "What is it?!" The young man asked, just itching to know what was wrong with his body. "You're transgender." The doctor deadpanned. This hit the young man like a brick to the face. "Wait... I'm WHAT?!?! "I know this is all very shocking to you, but that's the only analysis me and my colleagues could come with. I'm sorry." The doctor apologized. The young man just sat there, still trying to comprehend the situation at hand. "It's ok. You all tried your best." He said, smiling sadly. "The least we could do is give you the cure for your blue skin, however it is temporary, and will only last a few days." Dr. Warcholak mentioned. "I don't mind." The young man said, waving a dismissive hand. After getting the medicine injected into his body, the young man left the hospital and went home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After he went inside his home, the young man slumped into his couch. "I can believe I'm transgender." His said to himself out loud. He put his hands on his face and noticed his skin was starting to go back to it's original skin color. "Well, at least my skin is starting to look normal again." His said, before letting out a yawn. "I guess a mid-day nap wouldn't hurt." After preparing himself for the nap, the young man went to sleep. It didn't take long for that beam of magic to come in through the window again. However, there was more of it, and it looked an even darker blue. There was a weird shing-ing sound that the magic made that made it hard for the young man to sleep. "What is that noise?!" He mumbled as he opened his eyes. The magic seemed to know that he was starting to wake and tried to escape through the window, but it was too late. Soon the young man's eyes met that magical beam. The young man leapt out of bed. "What is that?!" He asked fearfully. The beam did nothing but swirl itself around the young man's body once more. " Who, or better yet, what are you?" The young man asked. The beam swirled itself around his hands and his feet. That's when the young man put two and two together. "So you're the thing that's making me change?!" He asked with a hint of surprise in his voice. As if the beam knew what he was talking about, the "front" of it nodded. "Well, glad I found out." The man said with a good natured laugh. "Now if you don't mind changing me back--" He couldn't finish his sentence before the beam instantly rushed out the window. "Hey!" The man yelled out, following the beam to the window. "What did I say?" He asked himself, while scratching his head and looking out the window. Author's Note Here's the second part. FINALLY!! I am so sorry it took me so long to do!! :fluttercry: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/fluttercry.png By time Summer comes, the stories will be uploaded more often and faster. I hope this part didn't feel rushed to anybody, and if it did please let me know. I want my stories to have good quality. :raritywink: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/raritywink.png Hope you enjoyed! https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/pinkiesmile.png Two more things: 1) I am sooooo sorry for not crediting Sunset-Peril for the title of this chapter, and not asking first!! (I don't want anyone to think I'm plagiarizing! :twilightoops: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightoops.png) and 2) the name of the doctor is the same name of one of my teachers from middle school! https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsmile.png //-------------------------------------------------------// Backstory //-------------------------------------------------------// Backstory As the magic disappeared into thin air, Jimmy just stared out the window with a confused look on his face. "What was that all about?" He asked himself while continuing to look out the window. After a short minute, he simply shrugged and went back to bed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, back in Equestria, one of Celestia's students, Twilight Sparkle was studying about the tale of Nightmare Moon, and hoped it was just a fairy tale. She looked up to the sky, as if she was searching for the moon Luna got banished on and sighed. "I wonder what happened?" Twilight wondered out loud. "The two of you must've got along just fine." "We did." Princess Celestia said sadly. We had a special sisterly bond that we thought couldn't be broken. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case." She looked like she was on the verge of tears. Twilight trotters back to Celestia to hear more of her story. Celestia sighed as she continued. "Even before we became princesses, we were inseparable. I thought becoming princesses would strengthen our bond, and bring us closer together. I had the job of raising the sun in the early morning, while she raised the moon at night. At first, everything was fine. But one night, she refused to raise the moon because she felt it was unfair that almost everypony slept through the night, while they most of the prancing and playing in the day. That ignited a dark spirit in her that transformed her into Nightmare Moon. At that point, I had no choice but to banish her to the moon." Twilight couldn't help but want to cry. That story was both sad, and a bit frightening. "Do you think she'll come back?" Twilight asked. "I cannot say I am certain about that." Celestia said sadly. "But I do hope she will return, not for the domination of Equestria, but for acceptance of my apology." "Why would you apologize to her?" Twilight questioned. "Because I didn't know how she felt at the time. Had I known about her feelings sooner, this would have been prevented." Celestia added. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back in Jimmy's world, the blue beam of magic came back, as if to make up for lost time. This time it came back bigger and "bluer." Jimmy was sound asleep, which allowed them magic to deform his body even more.... Author's Note Sorry for the cliff hanger, and that the chapter is very short. But I stayed up really late for an awards ceremony last night and didn't get to sleep at all! I know the chapter was supposed to be done yesterday, but I spent the whole day prepare for the event. Anyways, chapter 4will be up shortly.
