Sweet applesby Ranbo1000ChaptersThe driveNight of rememberingmorning full of surpriseschangesThe trian-ride to PonyvilleThe driveI was a country person. I hauled apples from a farm I work on. Everyday I went to the orchard and picked the apples and sold them at the market. I am also a brony. I would sometimes listen to music from vinyl scratch and sometimes would end up singing to it, but mostly I would listen to country music from George Strait or Brad Paisley. Sometimes I try to get the apples out of the tree by kicking it like applejack would when she collects apples from her orchard. Only sometimes would I succeed in getting some apples out of the tree. Sometimes I smile of how we have the same job but only in different worlds or in real life and fake. Occasionally I would hope that the show was real and that she would come see me if she came to my world. One day I was hauling a lot of apples in my pickup truck that I had customized to be able to hold at least seven people, can be adjusted to play extreme bass on songs, and has a lasso on the door if a cow had gotten out and is in the road. (I got the lasso because a cow had tried to run into my truck, but luckly I had pushed it away before it did.) I was going down a long road that went on for miles with nothing around the road, not even a single tree. Going down this road lets me see the sight around the area expecially during the sunset. I was off to deliver the apples in the trunk of my truck to the market to sell them for money to help pay for the taxes of the farm, going down the road listening to "Summertime" from George Strait when I found six women walking down a road. One was with purple hair with two other colors with it, one had what looked like a rainbow colored hair. 'Probably had it dyed that way'. One had blonde colored hair with a stetson cowboy hat on, one had light pink hair, one had pink poofy hair that extended all the way down to her waist, and the last one had purple hair that was all styled. They were all walking down the road. I pulled over in front of them and stepped out. "Ya'll need a ride?" "Sure." They all started to run towards the truck. They got to the truck and got in. I got back into the truck and started it again. As we were going down the road, the music got turned down. "Ok so whats your names?" The one with the pink hair talked first. "I'm Pinkie." Then the styled purple haired one started to talk. "I'm Rarity, nice to meet you." Then the rainbow color haired one talked. "I'm Rainbow." The one with the blonde hair talked. "I'm a' Applejack." Then the light pink color hair one talked. "Um . . . I'm . . . Fluttershy." Then the purple with two striped hair talked. "And I'm Twilight." I sat there and slowly pulled over and put it in nuetral and looked everyone one of them in the eyes. They all stared at me. "I'm sorry did I really just hear ya'll say your names was Applejack, Rarity, Pinkey, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Twilight?" "Yea thats our names." My mouth went down and I pointed to Twilight. "Hold on, let me guess what your last name is, Sparkle." Everyone's mouth then went down. "Yea, how did you know my last name?" "I know that ya'll ain't humans, ya'll are pony's." Then they all looked at me with surprise from me figuring out what they were. I then pointed towards Rainbow. "Your last name is dash and your a pegasus. Your one of the only pegasie to pull off the Sonic Rainboom." Rainbow's mouth then went down to the floor. I thought I didn't need to prove my knowledge of them any more. "How did you know that? Who are you?" "I know you because someone made a show about your lives like how Rainbow had saved Rarity at Cloudsdale. I am Brian and I am one of the many people who likes ya'll." They all looked at me with surprise. "So, Brian, more people know about our lives." "Eeyup." Applejack stared at me and got an angry look. "Hey why did you just sound like my brother?" "Oh, did that offend you? Sorry, but that is the normal way I yup to someone. As you can hear the country music and see the country stuff I have like this stetson hat on my head." "Oh, so that a' was your normal language. Sorry sugarcube." After sitting in the truck for an hour explaining to them about the show and to show more information that I was a country person, I got out of the truck and grabbed an apple. I then sat back down in the truck and took a bite out of the apple. Applejack stared at what I had done. "What? I like apples. Thats part of the reason why I work at an Orchard." This took Applejack by surprise and started to talk. "Wait, you work at a Orhcard." "Eeyup." "Why?" "My father owned the orchard and passed it down to me when he died. You see this stetson I have on my head." "Yea I see it. Why?" "Well you see, this is the thing he gave me before he passed away. I keep it on my head where ever I go. I keep it to remember him and to never forget him." I started to cry from the rememberence of my fathers death. Everyone or should I say everypony . . . don't know, anyway they all stared at me. Applejack came up to me and gave me a smile. I looked at her and began to wipe the tears off my face. Again they all stared at me including Applejack. "What?" "You just calmed down just from Applejack smiling at you." I quickly rose my head and had a blush on my face and put the car in drive. "I . . . I did?" "Yea you sure a' did." My blush went into a deeper shade of red. I began to drive towards the market, but realised that it was too late to sell the apples. I began to turn the car around. "What are you doing?" "I'm turning the car around. Its about midnight and its too late to sell these apples for a profit." "Oh." "Do ya'll have anywhere to stay?" "No. We have nowhere to stay." "Ya'll could stay at my barn if you want to." "That would probably be a good idea." "And I want to see your orchard and see if it's like a' mine." "Hey ya'll want to see somethin'?" "Sure" they all said at the same time. I pulled the truck over and turned it off. I got out and motioned for them to get out to and jumped over the wired fence and walked towards a hill in the grassy field. They followed and stood there. I laid down on my back and looked at the stars. "Have ya'll just laid down and looked at the stars for a good long while?" "Sometimes." "I bet ya'lls night is better than this one but I just wanted to show ya'll the view." I began to get up only to stop on seeing all the others starting to lay down with me. We all laid down there and looked at the stars. I got off the ground after an hour and they started to get up with me. "That there was a good view." "Yea it was." I walked to the truck and turned on the truck and put it in drive as they got in. As we started to drive off my favorite country song came on, "She's Country" from Jason Aldean. I began to sing along with it. I had a good singing voice or so I'm told. I sang the song as good as I could and looked at Applejack every couple of minutes to see her reaction. She began to reach for the volume switch and turned it up and began to beat her head up and down with enjoyment of the music. The song had ended and I looked at them with a smile on my face that could only express my feelings. They stared at me with amazment. "What, Ya' haven't herd someone like me or somepony else sing like that?" They could only shake there faces from the shock. I just smiled and looked at Applejack, who was not shocked and just smiled at me and smiled back and focused back on the road. I then heard a noise of gunshots behind me and looked in my rearview mirror to find that two guys in a truck were following me shooting guns at my truck. "GET YOUR HEADS DOWN NOW!" They followed my instructions and I sped up the acceleration of my truck to try to avoid the shots and outrun them. It had been proved usless when one of the bullets hit one of my rear tires. I slowly stopped at the side of the road and turned off the truck and looked behind my truck, hopping that they just kept going and didn't bother us. I saw them behind me and started to come up to my truck and both had pistols and reached into my glovebox and brought out a 9mm that I had bought from my father. It had "Spike" scratched into the side. I couldn't help myself from scratching that in after I read a story from FIMfiction.net and waited for the person coming from my side to reach the window. When he got to the window he had a red bandana on his face, one eye had a scar straight through it, and he had a black cowboy hat on. But I could tell that this guy was the one who killed my father because of the report of how my father died from a witness that drove by when the attacker shot him and was quickly filled with rage, aimed at his face and pulled the trigger. I looked to the other side to find the other standing there. He began to run towards his truck to get away. I jumped out of my truck and shot him before he was able to reach the door and looked at the killer. I then shot him three more times to make sure he was dead and for revenge for my father. I walked back to the truck and grabbed my phone and dialed 911 to tell them were the bodies were. After I finished I put my gun up and turned on the truck. "You can get up now." They got up a little shakey. I looked at each and everyone of them and sighed and began to drive away from the scene of the killing. "Brian, what happened?" "Those guys that where shooting at us were the one's that killed my father among with many others. And they just tried to kill me if I hadn't had my gun that I bought from my father to protect us." I began to drive faster from the rage of killing that fucking bastard, but was quickly relieved of my rage when Applejack hugged my arm. "That's mighty nice of you to save us." I looked into her green eye's and smiled. I looked back at the road and went towards the barn. When I got to the barn I looked at Applejack and the others and walked to the barn and opened the door. Not a single animal was in it. I walked to a bail of hay and brought it outside. I got to the other side of the barn and cut the string that held it together, thus ending up having it spread everywhere, and walked back to the truck and got the others. "I hope that ya'll enjoy sleeping on hay, because thats what I sleep on. I don't have a bed of my own and just get a bail of hay and spread it around behind the barn and get a good view of the stars." They all just looked at me and then to Rarity who was not looking well. "You ok Rarity?" "No i'm not! I have to sleep on hay that is not going to help me with my complextion." "Well sorry miss priss but your going to have to deal with it unless you can make a matress out of nowhere." She just hmphed and walked to the hay and laid down. I laid down next to Applejack and Pinkie Pie. I looked at Applejack, who in return looked at me. I looked at her green eye's while she looked into my blue eye's. Me and her both laughed and looked up at the stars. Night of rememberingEveryone/Everypony fell asleep besides me. I got up and walked around the barn towards my truck and looked at the damage from the gunshots. Only a flat tire came into view from the help of the light from the moon. I went into the barn and got the spare and began to replace the tire to get my mind off of things. 'I can't believe that I just had revenge for my fathers death. I should have just shot the gun out of his hand and shot him in the leg to stop his rampage on innocent people.' My worries went back to how I saved six ponies tonight and how I went into rage at the end. I pulled the 9mm out of the glove box and looked at it and then started my procedure of cleaning it. After finishing I just put more bullets into the clip and put the gun back into the glove box. I looked into the sky. It was about three in the morning. I went back to my new friends to check on them and saw that some where shivering. I went to my pile of wood and made a hole not that far from them and made sure it was deep enough to be able to keep the flames under control. I made a usual wood stack with five pieces of wood and put some straw in the middle to use to start it. I looked back at my friends and saw that more were shivering and got a match and struck it causing it to go into flames. I put it next to the straw and it ignited. The fire spread to the wood which also caught fire. I felt the warmth begin to spread and the fire gave me some light. I looked back at my friends and saw that they all started to smile from the warmth and sat down next to the fire and pulled off my stetson cowboy hat and looked at it and then looked back at Applejacks. I never noticed that they almost looked the same until now, chuckled and put it back on my head and looked back at the fire. I saw that Applejack was starting to move from the corner of my eye and just sat there and thought nothing of it. I had my mind on other things with my father and the past. I went to my truck and got some chocolate, crackers, and some marsh mellows and walked back to the fire. I grabbed a stick on the way back and set the groceries down a couple feet away from the fire. I sat down next to the fire and pulled out my pocket knife and began to carve out a point and take some of the bark off of the stick. After finishing carving, I grabbed a marsh mellow and put it on the stick and made sure it would stay there and put it above the fire. Memories started to flood my mind of the past when me and my father would do this every night and talk about how the day went. He would always smile no matter where he went. He would make a person that just suffered something smile and feel at least a little bit happy. He would be kind to anyone even if he didn't know them. This would normally go through my mind every night to remember him, to never forget him. I was in the middle of thinking of the past so much that I didn't notice that Applejack had gotten up and walked towards me. She tapped me on the shoulder and I still didn't notice. She then started to shake my head side to side. This finally got my attention and I looked at her. A small unnoticable blush came to my face when I saw her face. "What is it Applejack?" I asked with the kindest voice I could to keep her from noticing my anger. "Your marsh mellow is a' burnin'." I then looked at the end of the stick and saw that the marsh mellow was completely engulfed in fire and just move it out of the fire and blew it out. It wasn't burnt but it wasn't pure white. I just got a cracker and put a piece of chocolate on it and put the marsh mellow on it and then grabbed another cracker with a piece of chocolate on it and put it on top of the marsh mellow and squeezed it together. I looked at it and then to Applejack. "You want it? I don't mind making another." "You sure?" I looked at her and smiled and nodded. She picked it up and took a bite out of it and began to chew on it with her mouth open and swallowed. She smiled at me to tell me it was good and that she liked it, but then she frowned. "I'm a' mighty sorry for being so rude and eating with my mouth open." "Don't worry about it. We are both country people or a person and a pony. Its not like I'm Rarity or something. I'm no where near into fashion. All I need is a sleeveless shirt and a pair of jeans to get me through the day." She just smiled and continued to eat the smore. I made another and started to eat it while watching Applejack. "So, you know us, run an Orchard, Sell apples, and have a father that is dead. Do you at least have any friends?" "Not really. Ya'll are my friends that are still alive that is." Applejack looked shocked at what I said. "What happened to them?" "You know that guy I killed?" "Yea." "He killed some of them, some of them got killed by disease, some of them got into fights that killed them, and some of them got cancer, a specific disease that is usually found in a specific organ and harms that organ. In fact the last friend I had died from brain cancer." I looked at the ground with a frown remembering my best friend bill die right in front of me. I was visiting him when the cancer had done its final attack on him that was fatal. A few tears started to go down my face from the lose of all my friends and looked at Applejack. She walked up to me and hugged me trying to calm me down. I started to sniffle and try to get the tears off my face after a minute and looked back towards the ground and didn't feel good. "At least you still got some family, right?" "Nope, I had a brother, but he died from that killer because he was with my father when he killed him. My mother left my family after I was born or my father just told me that to keep me from crying when she actually died after giving birth to me. I found that out when I found her gravestone next to my fathers when they buried him." I was about to start crying again because of how alone I felt. But I wasn't alone, I have new friends now, but they are probably going to go back to Equestria after what they do here. "So what are ya'll doing here on earth anyway?" I wanted to avoid the questions of my family now. "We just came here to see what it was like here, but now I think we probably ain't coming here again anyway." "You think I will be able to go with ya'll?" "I a' don't know that myself, Brian. Maybe." I looked at those green eye's to tell if she was telling the truth that I gained since I have heard a lot of lies in my life and have learned to tell if a person is lying or not. She looked like she was telling the truth and I just dropped the question and looked into the fire and just thought about Applejack. 'Wait a minute! Am I falling in love with Applejack?' I looked at Applejack and just blushed. I looked back at the fire. 'Whelp I guess that answers my question.' I just smiled and looked at the smoke going into the sky with no care in the world. 'At least they don't have to deal with the hardships I had to go through in my life.' morning full of surprisesAfter two hours I got up and walked to the trees to pick the apples like I normally do every morning and decided that since Applejack was here that I would actually try to kick the apples out of the first tree. I walked up to the tree and just did a side kick towards the middle of it. What shocked me was that one, the kick didn't hurt my foot, and two, and all of the apples came out of the tree. I smiled and picked them all up and tossed one to Applejack. She grabbed it and took a bite out of it and smiled after eating the apple. I just smiled and went back to work. I wanted to make sure that the first tree I kicked wasn't just luck and kicked another tree the same way and, again like last time, all the apples came out of the tree and smiled. 'Wow, I didn't know it was possible for a human to do that.' I looked at Applejack and my smile grew bigger. "Can humans do that normally?" "Not really. I'm surprised that this doesn't hurt my foot and that I'm actually getting apples out of the tree." I kicked another tree and watched the apples fall. I looked at the ground and saw a coon and grabbed an apple and gave it to him. I didn't mind the coons they were just being normal and just trying to survive like I am. I watched it as it scurried away to its family. After kicking more trees to get apples, I walked back collecting them to put into the back of the truck with the ones from yesterday. 'Maybe I should make an apple pie. Just to make some good food around here that my new friends could enjoy.' I got ten fresh, bright red apples out of the trunk and washed them off. I began to peel them and cut them into pieces and used the skin as some flavor on the crust and use the rest of the apple to be cooked inside it. I put it into the oven when I was done to have it cook. Every couple of minutes I would check it. While I waited I walked to where the others slept only to find that they were still asleep. I looked into the sky to check the time. 'Well no wonder they are still asleep, it’s only six in the morning.' I walked back the oven to check on the pie. It had a golden brown color on the crust that told me it was ready to be eaten and turned down the gauge on the oven to decrease the amount of heat going into the oven so it could stay warm while I wait for the others to get up. After two hours they started to wake up and each got up to find a fire and me and Applejack talking to each other. We looked at the rest of the group and laughed. They had a serious case of bed hair that was so funny that I rolled on the ground from it. I sat back up and wiped the tear of laughter off of my face and got up and walked to the oven and pulled out the pie and saw that it was perfect. I made the pie in secret from Applejack so she would be surprised. I got seven plates and a couple of forks and walked back towards the group and when they saw me with the pie they looked surprised. "What? I got something on my face or something?" They looked at me and smiled. I put the pie down and cut it into seven equal pieces and put each one onto a plate and handed it to each one of them. "Here ya’ go. I made this this mornin'. Hope ya'll like it." I took a bite out of mine and tasted the sweet apples suddenly. I felt happy for what I made and watched their faces turn to ones of surprise when they each took a bite of the pie. "Good pie huh?" "Wow this here is a good pie. I have to ask you for your secret in the pie." I just laughed at that and just continued to eat the pie. When we were all finished I got all the plates and went to the outside sink and washed them off. "Ya'll want somethin' to drink?" They all smiled and nodded. I walked to my truck and got seven water bottles out of the cooler I had in the trunk and walked back and handed it to them. "So Twilight when are ya'll goin' back to Equestria?" "Around two hours from now." I looked at her with shock but then just calmed down. "Hey . . . um . . . Twilight, do you think I could go with ya'll?" "I don't know Brian. Maybe I could try." I felt happier knowing that I might be able to go with them. "But why do you want to leave here? Won't your friends miss you?" I felt a sudden sadness well up within me remembering all my friends again. "What friends." I said that with a lowered tone that everyone could barely hear and looked at the ground and frowned. "What do you mean 'What Friends'?" "All the friends I had are dead. Even my family is dead. I'm all alone here." I began to cry again from the feeling of loneliness gathering up inside me and looked away from the others to hide it. They all noticed but only Applejack knew why he was doing this. She knew that Twilight was probably going to ask that question and thought that was going to be tough for me. She came up to me and put her arm around my neck and hugged me. I began to slowly stop and looked at Applejack and the others. Applejack walked back to her friends and told them about all the hardships I have been going through in my life and how lonely I felt from it. They all looked at me. I was starting to wipe the tears off my face to get rid of them and walked over to the orchard to get it out of my mind. When I got there I started to kick some tree's to get the apples, but mostly to get the thoughts out of my head. I had kicked around twenty trees in about ten minutes without caring who was watching or if I was hurting myself and kept on kicking trees until I couldn't feel my leg anymore. I limped back to my truck only to find all the others with their mouths wide open besides Applejacks. "What? Just had to relief some stress. It’s not like I kicked down a tree." Twilight nodded her head and pointed towards the first tree I kicked. I looked at it and found it on its side, realizing that had kicked it so hard that it had come out of the ground. My mouth went down like there was a thousand pound weight on it and looked at the others and pointed towards it. They all nodded their heads and looked at me. I slowly looked down at my leg to find that there was only a bruise on it and rubbed my eyes and looked at it again to see if my eyes were fooling me. They weren't. I looked at them all and slowly pulled my jaw back up. I shook my head and felt dizzy and decided to sit down. I put my head in my hands. "How is this possible?" I quietly said that to myself making sure they wouldn't hear it. "So, Brian, I know Applejack here told us about your family's deaths, but what I'm mostly concerned about is how you knew what the killer that killed your father looked like?" I looked to the ground remembering to the past. TWO YEARS AGO I was riding with my father and brother back to the barn after a day of hard work. I had gotten tired and fell asleep in the back seat on the floor and was asleep for around two hours. I was then woken up by the sound of gunshots. I quickly jumped up to only find the person with the gun pointed at my father. My father had a hole in his head that I could easily fit my hand into. I started to cry only to stop myself to keep the killer from noticing, but a squeak came out between my lips and had reached the killers ears. He looked in the back seat to find me covering my mouth about to cry. He slowly walked towards the back door. "Well look at what we got here. Another child." He then aimed the gun at me. I thought I was about to have the same fate as my father and my brother, but was proven wrong when the killer only shot my stomach. He started to laugh at how I what he thought was going to be a suffering death. He walked back to his truck and drove off. I was able to get to the front of the truck and move my father. I began to drive as quickly as I could to the hospital to try to survive, to see if my family was just unconscious. I got to the hospital just in time and ran inside with my hands covered in blood. My vision was beginning to fade as I entered. The nurse at the counter only took one look at me and called the doctors. Just as I was moved towards a stretcher I had blacked out, thinking I was going to die. I woke up five days later to find some of my friends around me to be there for me. I smiled as they came up to me. They all had the feeling of happiness when they saw me wake up. A doctor entered and told my friends to leave since he had something to tell me. "I'm sorry, but your father and brother didn't make it." "W-W-What, they died." Tears started to form in my eyes. "Yes, I'm sorry for your lose." He was beginning to leave, but I stopped him before he could reach the door. "One question before you leave doctor." "Yes?" "Did they suffer?" I had to know if they suffered or not. "They did not suffer as much as you did." And with that the doctor left the room. A small smile came to my face as I realized at least they didn't suffer like I did. I looked out the window and a small song came to my mind that my father used to sing. He had a good voice that I had inherited from him. He would sing it when I or my brother felt down. I played that song repeatedly through my head to try and relax. FIVE WEEKS LATER I was looking at my father and my brother for the last time before they got buried into the ground. I had tears going down my eyes as I watched the men lower them into the dirt. I looked at the tombstones and more tears started to form, but something caught my eye. I saw something next to my father’s grave that was really close to it. It was another tombstone, only this one was in a different shape. After everyone left, I walked towards the other tombstone and read whose it was. I realized that it was my mother’s name on it. I read the sentence below it explaining how she died. 'Died December 12, 1987. Died at giving birth to her second child.' After reading the sentence I stumbled back and tripped on a rock. I stared at all three of the gravestones and started to cry into my arms. After the funeral I got in my truck and drove to the farm. I had to continue to live on with this and try to make another family, but the effects of seeing my own family took a toll on me. I wouldn't speak to no one unless I knew them already. As the next couple of months past I was beginning to get out of that state only to return to it, but not as bad, when my last friend, Bill, had died from Brain Cancer. Ever since then I tried to keep a smile on my face like my father did and look after the farm. I began to watch 'My Little Pony' to have the feeling that I still had friends. PRESENT After I finished what I had said, everypony looked at me with tears in their eyes. “‘Sniff’ so that’s why you recognized that man at first sight." I only nodded feeling the pain of losing my family years ago return. I slowly began to cry into my arms, but was soon relaxed by everypony hugging me to get me to relax. After what seemed like hours, they started to back away from the hug. I stood up and looked at my friends. "So, Twilight, will I be able to go?" "Like I said before, Brian, I don't know, but after hearing about your past I will not stop trying to get you out of this horrible world." I only smiled and looked at the sky. I suddenly felt an arm reach around my own and squeeze it. I looked at my arm to find Applejack. She still had tears going down her face. I slowly hugged her to find her relaxing quickly. I backed away with a blush on my face when I noticed that she wiped the tears away. I looked at her to notice that she was also blushing. I quickly looked away and towards the others to see if they noticed. They were all looking the other way. 'Probably trying to think of a way to get me out of here.' I looked back at Applejack and smile and she smiled back. We both decided to walk off and let the others think. I decided to pass time by practice using my lasso. I grabbed the rope off the truck and went towards the orchard. Applejack followed me. I looked at a branch and concentrated on it. I began to spin the rope above my head and aimed towards the branch and threw the rope. I caught the branch and I yanked back. The branch broke and fell to the ground to my surprise. 'Got to work on how much power I use on the pull.' I untied the rope from the branch and looked at Applejack who had her mouth open. "What? I know you can lasso and do the same thing." "I know, I just didn't know you were that good." 'She thinks I'm good?' I just pushed that thought into the back of my brain and continued to untie the rope. I got it untied and decided to do it to a moving object. 'I wonder if Applejack can throw an apple really fast to give me a challenge.' But unknowing to me I actually said that out loud than thought of it. I looked at Applejack and she just smiled and grabbed and apple. I got the rope ready. "Ok, Applejack, you can throw the apple now." As soon as she threw the apple I concentrated on it and aimed. I threw the rope and watched it hit its target and pulled it tight. I had caught the apple in the middle of the air. 'Dang! I didn't even think that was possible!' I smiled and pulled the rope and watched as the apple came back towards me and I caught it in mid-flight. I then took a bight out of it and smiled. I looked at her to find her mouth down. I walked up to her and pulled up her jaw. She just smiled and looked at me. I looked at her and we both seemed to blush at the same time. I rubbed the back of my head and smiled at her. She began to move her head closer to mine. I knew were this was going and just smiled. She moved quicker and her lips met mine. I rapped my arms around her and hers rapped around me. We kissed for what seemed like an hour. I slowly backed away and looked at her. She only looked at me and mouthed the words 'Where have you been all my life.' I hugged her and decided that I had enough practice and started to move back towards to others. changesWhen I got back to the others they were still talking. I just simply shrugged and looked at Applejack with a smile. She was looking back at me and smiled back. I then looked back towards the others and began to speak. "Well, figure a way for me to go?" "Maybe, but it will hurt if we try this." "It's probably no where near feeling a bullet going through your stomach." "If you want to we can do this right now or later. Your choice." I smiled and looked at Applejack. "Should we tell them Applejack." I said in a whisper so the others couldn't hear. "Not yet, wait till we get to Ponyville." I just smiled and looked back at Twilight. "Lets go ahead and start the procedure Twilight," This took Twilight by surprise of how quick I wanted to leave. "Ok." I was then lifted into the air and inside a purple bubble. "Wait, Twilight, before you do anything, what are you about to do?" "I'm transforming you into a pony. You might feel some pain about everywhere." And with that I started to feel pain go through my entire body like I was shot with a thousand bullets. I began to scream from the pain, but Twilight continued with the process she started. I began to feel my arms and legs start to bend and feel my hands changing. I was far beyond pain, it felt like I went into a pit of blue fire and was stuck there. I had to scream louder from the pain. I began to feel more pain everywhere, but I looked at Applejack and saw that she was worried. From that look on her face I began to feel no pain at all. I looked around my body and saw that I was still changing but I felt no pain. 'Is the power of love between me and Applejack causing this?' I watched as Twilights worried look turned into a surprised one. I watched as she almost went into mental breakdown, but she continued the spell. I watched as my hands and feet turned into hooves. I began to feel my head get larger, along with feeling my black hair go down lower. I just wanted it to end so I could just move around in my new body and see what I looked like. I felt myself being lowered after another twenty minutes. I went towards Applejack and smiled. Twilight got rid of the spell on them changing into humans and they all turned back into ponies. I walked towards a mirror and looked at myself. I am a earth pony and have a orange coat like Applejacks, but darker. I still have my black hair, it just extended a couple of inches. I looked behind me and noticed I have a black tail and then looked at my eyes, they were the same color of blue I had. I smiled at my new body and walked towards the others. "So what do you think?" "I don't know. What do you think Applejack?" Everypony started to stare at Applejack who just stared at me with a blush that was getting into a deeper shade of red. I just smiled and walked up towards her. We were about a couple of inches away. "Should we just show them or tell them?" I again talked to her in a whisper. Right after I finished that sentence she leaned in closer and kissed me. After the kiss, I smiled and looked towards the others to see their reactions. Twilight had her mouth wide open along with Rarity, Pinkie Pie just smiled and applauded, Fluttershy hid behind her hair, but I was still able to see her blush, and Rainbow Dash just made a gaging noise and looked away. "I think they took the news well, don't you Applejack?" I just smiled at her. "I think so." She was also smiling. Twilight was the first to snap out of the daze she was in. I saw that her horn began to glow in a lavender aura. I looked at the others and saw that they along with me were in the same aura and we all started to float in the air. I saw a blinding white light after being lifted into the air. I felt the ground below me, but all I could see was white. I moved my head to the right and then to the left to try to see my surroundings, only to notice that everywhere I looked was just white, and started to blink my eyes repeatedly. I found myself in a white room that was decorated with a red carpet going through the middle. The windows were more like paintings than actual windows. It had pictures of ponies going against great evils. I just smiled and looked around the room. 'Is this a dream?' I kept on asking myself that question in my head. "No, this is not a dream." I heard a familiar voice from in front of me and looked. It was an alicorn with a white coat and a flowing mane. It was Princess Celestia. I knelt down to not ashame her. I watched as Twilight walked up to her and gave a pony version of a hug. "Well if it isn't my favorite pupal. Hello Twilight. Its good to see you without a drastic thing happening around here." She smiled and looked at everypony else only to stop and stare at me. "Looks like you have a new friend Twilight." She starts to walk towards me. "And what is your name?" I stared at her for a second and just sat there. I raised up my hoof. "Names a' Brian. Pleased to meet ya'." She reached out her hoof and we shook hoofs. "Nice to meet you Brian. I am Princess Celestia. I would introduce you to my sister but she fell asleep after watching the night with a careful eye." "Its ok, I'd probably meet her someday." I looked at her and smiled. She smiled back and just nodded her head. "So you are not from here are you?" "No ma'am" "So were are you from?" Before I could say Twilight spoke up. "Princess, Brian is from the planet we explored, and let me just say he has had a horrible past, so horrible that we decided to bring him with us." At that Princess Celestia stared at me. I just looked downward towards the ground. Memories started to come back to my mind. FIVE MONTHS AGO I was just going to visit my friends at the hospital. Some of them had injuries from the same killer and some had rare diseases. I went towards my friend, Rick, in a room at the far corner at the hospital. I got there and he just smiled at me. He had a bullet in both his hands and feet. He had cast's on him all over. He was shot exactly where my father and brother where shot, or so he told everyone. He was on his regular jog down the street when he was ambushed and forced to crawl all the way to the nearest house to find help. I had more anger getting caged inside me when I saw his condition. He had pale white skin from the blood lose. I could only just frown and sit next to him and hope that he would be ok. I stayed in the room talking about the past of how my father would usually come visit him if he was in the hospital before. I just smiled remembering all the times anyone came to the hospital my father would at least try to help the person and make them happier. I left him saying my goodbyes and was on my way out when I heard his heart monitor start to increase in its pace. I looked at my friend and then to the monitor, which was still increasing. I jumped out of the room to find a doctor quick. I went to the front desk and told them what was going on. I ran with the doctor back to the room. My friend was flat lining now. They tried to save him but failed. I looked at my friend for the last time. He had a smile on his face when they put his covers over his face. A tear came out of my eye. I wiped it off on my way to check on Bill. I arrived in Bill's room and smiled at him. He had tubes going into his nostrils and looked like he was about to throw up at any second. He looked towards me and smiled, but then frowned when he saw the tears coming down my cheek. "What's wrong Brian?" "Ricks dead." Bill looked at me with sorrow for our friend. I looked at Bill and tried to bring a smile on both of our faces. I tried to do what my father could do easily, make people smile. I tried to bring up old memories of our past that were at least good enough to talk about without bringing tears to our eyes. I ended up talking about how me and him would usually go exploring when we were around eight years old. "Good times, huh, friend." I smiled and looked at him with the same memory going through my head like it was on replay. I looked at my friend again to notice that blood was starting to come out of his mouth. "Bill?" Bill had a worried look on his face because he could taste the blood. I tried to make him smile again to try and forget about dying but it was no use. Bill had his of way of worrying and ignoring everything else. I watched as the doctors came into the room and looked at him with frowns and concerned looks on their faces. I knew what they were thinking before they could talk, they couldn't do anything else to help. I watched as my friend began to spit out more blood and start to have blood come out of his ears. I watched as his eye's began to lose life in them. That was the moment that I could not look anymore, I walked out of the room and was about to walk away when I heard the monitor Flat line. I started to cry and run towards the exit. When I reached the exit I got to my truck and started it, put it in drive, and drove off as quick as I could. I sped all the way towards the farm and did not stop for anything. A few weeks later I watched as they buried the last of my friends in the ground. I couldn't hold on to the tears anymore and walked away. I got in my truck and drove off without looking back. There was one place I wanted to go to one last time before I never go to it again. I knew the way well because me and my friends would always go there to hang out. It was a lake that only we knew about and kept it a secret from everyone. I walked up to a boulder that was above it. Memories came back of when we all jumped off of it. I looked at a specific clearing in the forest and more memories came back as I saw that there was still a hole in the middle. I slowly walked away back towards my truck and drove off only to never return to this place again. PRESENT I looked around to find that everyone was staring at me. "What having deep thought going through your mind about memories takes a while to get back to real life. It's not like I said anything about what I was thinking." They all shook there heads and pointed towards me. I felt myself start to get colder all of a sudden. I looked around myself to find blood on the ground. I put my hoof on it and brought it up to my face. I began to look around my body to see where it was coming from. I looked at my neck to my back to my legs. Not a single drop of blood was on any. 'Wait, could it be coming from the scare of where I got shot.' I looked at my stomach to find it bleeding. I quickly put my hoof over it and looked to the others. "I think the old bullet wound opened up again. Stupid, stupid, stupid. This is why I try not to remember the past that much because the wound somehow keeps opening from it. Can someone get a' doctor or something!" I was then wrapped around in a golden aura and lifted into the air. I felt myself become calm and suddenly felt nothing and was put back on the ground. I looked back at my stomach to find that the bleeding stopped. I walked away from the pool of blood and decided to pay attention to something else to get my mind off memories. I looked at Celestia to find her smile go into a frown. 'Did she just read my mind while I was having my memories back or something.' "You can say that Brian." "Ok so you can read minds, so you just saw all my memories of seeing my last friend dying in front of me." She only nodded. "Do I need to bring up anymore memories to prove that I have had a bad past?" She shook her head now knowing part of what I've went through in my life. I looked at everypony else and made a small smile. They all came up and hugged me again. 'Did Celestia send my memories to everypony else?' I looked at Celestia to notice a small nod. I slowly looked back to my new friends and hugged them back. After a couple of minutes the group hug dispersed and left me there. I looked at Celestia, who was approaching me slowly. "So you wish to live in Equestria to leave that land full of death. I will not stop you in this wish, but I will tell you that you will not be able to return." I only nodded and walked back to my friends. "Oh and Princess Celestia." "Hm?" "Thanks for letting me stay." "Your welcome and enjoy your new life." I nodded and walked out the gigantic doors. The trian-ride to PonyvilleI walked out the giant doors to find the beutiful view of Canterlot. I looked around with my mouth wide open. I stoped when I saw all my new friends staring at me in confusion. "Um . . . Why are you doing that?" "Oh, just enjoying the view." "It's not better than Cloudsdale!" "I'm not going to argue with you Rainbow Dash. Argueing with you would be like me argueing with Rarity about fashion." Rarity looked at me and then looked towards the ground with a frown. "What's wrong Rarity?" She looked up at me and smiled with a obvious emotion on her face saying that she was troubled. "Oh it's nothing Brian. It's just I have a dress to make that will be due soon so we better get going." And with that we all started to walk to the trainstation. When we got there I immediatly saw the train and how it actually looked. Comparing it with the one in the show I would say that the one in real life has a better view to look at. I stared at amazment at how it worked. We went to the ticket window to get one-way tickets to Ponyville. "How many tickets and to where?" "Seven One-way tickets to Ponyville please." "That will be around fifteen bits." Twilight handed the pony the bits. "Here you go." The pony took the bits and gave us the tickets. "Have a good trip to Ponyville." He said with a smile as we got onto the train. The inside of the train looked bigger on the inside than it did on the outside. It had six beds in one cart. I looked at the others who all smiled and moved towards one window. As they looked outside I began to think of seating arrangments. 'So there is six beds and seven of us. Either one of us sleeps with another or one of us sleeps on the floor.' I looked at Applejack. 'She probably won't let me sleep with her yet since we just met and all. But then again we are in love already and we just met and I never thought that was possible. It might work.' I walked to the window everypony was looking out of. I saw a beutiful view of the castle disipearing in the distance. As it escaped our view, everypony moved away from the window and all sat middle of the cart. "Ok Fluttershy *Points to a bed* you can have that bed, Rarity *Points to another bed* you can have that bed, Pinkie *Points to another bed* you can have that bed, Rainbow Dash *Points to another bed* you can have that bed, Applejack *Points to another bed* you can have that bed, and that leaves this bed for me." I watched as everypony went to their beds besides Applejack. "Ahem, Aren't ya forgetin somepony, Twilight?" "Oh." She looks at me and facehooves "Sorry Brian I forgot about you. Its just that I don't have any Idea of where your going to sleep besides the floor, Unless you want to have my bed?" "It's ok, Twilight, you can keep your bed. I would rather sleep on the floor than take another pony's bed, even if it was offered to me." I began to get set up to sleep on the floor when Applejack stops me. "You can sleep with me." I stop what I was doing and look at Applejack. "You sure ,Applejack? Because I have no problem with sleeping on the floor. I never want to bother anypony even when I was a human I never wanted to bother anyone." "It's alright. We do like each other anyway." With that she smiled. I felt the line on my face turn into a smile from seeing her. "If you want to, Applejack." And with that I follow her to her bed. I let her get in first and I follow behind her. I laid down and looked into her beutiful green eye's. She was staring at me and smiled. I leaned in closer to her and kissed her and watched as she fell asleep with me not far behind her. After another two hours of sleep, I was woken up by falling on the floor. I looked around the cart. It was the middle of night. I heard faint screams coming from the carts behind us. I looked at the door and watched as a pony with a red bandanna walked in. He pulled out a lasso and tried to tie me up, but before he could get it to me I dodged it and ran at a full sprint towards him. I was about a couple inches away when I stood on my front legs, swung around, and kicked him to the ground. I walked up to him and noticed him not moving. I got closer and saw that I had hit him in the head with my hind legs. I walked back to mine and Applejacks bed and grabbed my lasso with my teeth. I walked towards the pony and tied him up to make sure he wasn't going anywhere. After sitting there, watching the pony, waiting for him to get up, the sun was getting up for morning and everypony else was getting up. They all woke up with a jolt as they saw me sitting down on the ground looking at a pony that was tied up. "Um . . . Brian, what happened?" "This pony here was causing a commotion in the back. I had woken up by falling on the floor and heard screams and then he walked in. He tried to tie me up, but missed and I nocked him unconcouis. After that I tied him up and watched him until ya'll woke up." They stared at the pony. "What did ya do to the pony's in the back, Mister?" The pony smirked and stared at Applejack. "The same thing I'll do to you if I wasn't tied up." He was looking her up and down. I stared at the pony with anger knowing what he was doing and what he would do to Applejack. He looked at me and his smirk went to a frown. "You say another word about what you were going to do to her *Points at Applejack* and I will personally introduce you towards your grave!" I was in rage of all of this. He smirked. "Oh I was going to do it to her all night lo-" That was all he could get out before I nocked him back out cold. I had the look of rage and hatted it. I never loved to be in rage, but if you do something to my friend, I would be the first to throw the punches. Everypony stared at me. I began to lie down on the ground and try to get some sleep before we got to Ponyville, only to be stopped by Applejack kissing me. I felt her tongue wanting to enter my mouth, which I allowed. I tasted her saliva as we licked the insides of each others mouths. When we stopped she led me towards the bed and laid down with me. I was instantly into deep sleep. I woke up to Applejack nuzzling my neck trying to wake me up. I looked out the window to find it about Midnight. We were at the trainstation of Ponyville. We exited the train. "So I quess I will be seeing you pony's tommarow?" I said with a smile on my face. "Of course we will." "Duh" "OmmygoshIforgotaboutthrowingyouaparty, ofcourseI'mgoingtoseeyoutommarow." "Yes . . . that is if its ok with you." "Of course, darling." I smiled and looked around noticing the pony I tied up being shackled and brought to jail. I got my lasso back from Applejack and wrapped it around my neck. I adjusted it to where I could grab it with ease if needed to. I looked at Applejack, who was smiling at me. "That was mighty brave of what you did to protect us." "Yea. Whenever my friends get into trouble I'm the first person they call for." "Just one question though, What did you think or know what he was going to do?" "Lets just say that its kind of common at my old world in subways. Also by the way he looked at you up and down, he was just observing your body." "So this has happened before in your life?" "No, I only watched the news and saw that they would be talking about it." "So this usually happens in your world?" "Eeyup." "Then next time this happens wake me up and we will both do the same thing you did to the pony." She said with a smirk on her face. "Alright Applejack. I'll remember that."
The driveI was a country person.
'At least they don't have to deal with the hardships I had to go through in my life.'
morning full of surprisesAfter two hours I got up and walked to the trees to pick the apples like I normally do every morning and decided that since Applejack was here that I would actually try to kick the apples out of the first tree.
