A Mare Asks For Help

Twilight Sparkle was outside near one of the markets in Ponyville as she was buying some more food to eat for the next two weeks, she needed to make sure to buy herself enough so that it would last her until she had to shop again.

Twilight Sparkle couldn't remember the last time she got food at this market as she always went to different ones each time she had to go to one but she knew that in the end it didn't matter as she just needed some food.

She tried to shop as quick as she could since she didn't want to stay out all day as there was a storm that was scheduled to take place later that day. She decided to finish up and then she ran home.

When she got to her castle Spike greeted her at the door. Twilight said hello and stored her food away and then went to see if their was any mail from ponies or Princess Celestia. When she had determined that their was no mail for her she went to check to see if Starlight Glimmer was home.

When she went to Starlight's room Starlight was on her bed studying a book, Twilight smiled and decided to not bother her even if she wanted to talk to her student, Twilight went to her throne room and sat on her chair in front of the map table She looked around at the throne room and decided to clean it as it was a little messy.

She quickly used a spell to clean it up since that was the quickest way, while she was cleaning up she heard a loud knock on the door that led to the throne room. Twilight looked at the door as she was surprised that one of her friends would have to Knock but then she realized that maybe that this was somepony that usually wasn't in the castle.

She turned around and cautiously walked to the door as she wasn't expecting any visitors. Besides she was sure that her door that led inside to her castle was locked. She decided to go check the door anyway just to make sure their wasn't an intruder.

When she saw that the door was wide open she shut it closed. She feared that their was a pony in her castle meant to do somepony she loved harm. She wondered if she should put the castle on alert.

She didn't know where to look for the intruder she looked in a few rooms but couldn't find the intruder so she went to Starlight's room, she burst into Starlight's room and spoke in a quick manner.

"Starlight we have a problem their is an intruder-why are you eating so many bread rolls?" Twilight asked her as Starlight had her mouth stuffed with one as she had plate of them by her.

"What? I was hungry." Starlight said, Twilight shook her head and decided to get to the point of her problem.

"Never mind. Look their is an intruder in the castle because the door was wide open. I thought you locked it. You were supposed to lock it. I told you I wasn't seeing my friends today as they weren't coming here until another day but you forgot and left it open.

"Sorry. I forgot to close the door. I'll lock it next time. Just make sure you have your key on you." Starlight said as she ate her snack. Twilight's eye twitched. Starlight's reaction made her a little angry as she was acting like the intruder was no big deal.

"Starlight! What the hell! Their is an intruder and your just sitting here eating away like their is no care in the world. What if the pony is dangerous?" Twilight asked her.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to leave it unlocked. Maybe it's not even a dangerous pony. It's probably somepony that needs our help. You shouldn't judge the situation before you realize what it's about." Starlight said. Twilight sighed as she looked over at the other room.

"Alright I'm going to go check it out." Twilight said, Starlight told her to be careful and then Twilight went to find Spike. When she found Spike reading a comic book in the library she ran up to him.

"Spike there is an intruder that is inside the castle. Be careful when you move around inside okay?" Twilight asked. Spike told her that he would and Twilight tried to find the intruder and came across the pony. It was a mare and right next to her was a little filly.

"Who are you? Your not supposed to intrude in anypony's home especially not a royal location unless you have permission or you work for royalty. Why are you here. I can call the authorities and have you arrested." Twilight told her.

"Don't do that. I don't mean you any harm....please you have to help us....my little filly is sick and we don't have any money at all in order for me to pay for medical support for her. Please help us." The mare said.

Starlight ran up to Twilight and placed a shield around her and then stood in an attack position. Twilight looked on at Starlight with a surprised expression.

"It's alright Twilight I'll protect you." Starlight said. Twilight was shocked that Starlight would want to protect Twilight from two harmless looking ponies. She even felt that it was rude of Starlight.

Who are you and why are you here!" Starlight said. The mother took her filly and backed up. Twilight glared at Starlight as she felt that Starlight was having an overreaction.

"Starlight knock it off right now. Do you really think that these two ponies are going to harm me. No they came for help." Twilight said with an angry tone. She didn't want the mother to be scared off. She looked at the filly whimpering.

"No! These ponies are lying Twilight! They might be changelings." Starlight said. Twilight had enough of Starlight.

"Starlight shut up and back off immediately!" Twilight yelled at her. Twilight decided to grab a magic suppressor and put it on Starlight's horn. Starlight yelled protest but Twilight spoke to her sternly.

"Go to your room right now Starlight! You can stay there for a while and think about what you did." Twilight yelled. Starlight sighed in annoyance and walked to her room. She entered her room and closed her door. Twilight sighed and turned back to the mother.

"I'm terribly sorry about that mam. Shes never done that before. Here I'll get something for you that might help." Twilight said. The mother looked relieved and waited for Twilight. Twilight walked to her treasury and got over a million bits for her since she had millions of it. She didn't want the mare to suffer anymore but she also didn't want to give away her entire treasury.

"Here. This should get you out of debt." Twilight said as she gave the mare the bits." The mare was so grateful. She cried in delight. She hugged Twilight and Twilight hugged her back and then she spoke.

"Thank you so much princess. You just saved my daughters life. We are forever grateful. I can save my daughters life now." The mare said. She gently took her daughter by the hoof and she walked to the nearest hospital. Twilight smiled and closed the door and then she glared up at Starlight's room.

She walked up to Starlight's room and entered it and saw that Starlight was hunched over and had her head in her hoof. Twilight spoke.

"Get the fuck out of my castle." Twilight told her. Starlight looked on with shock at Twilight. She went to speak.

"Twilight I didn't know. I thought the mare was-" starlight began to say.

"Get out now!!" Twilight screamed. Starlight pleaded for her to let her stay but Twilight forced her out and threw some of her stuff at her.

"Don't come back until you learn that what you did to that mother was wrong. The daughter was sick and the mother was poor but you went ahead and threatened them. Don't come back until tomorrow." Twilight yelled. She slammed her door right in Starlight's face and locked it and Starlight sat there in shock.

"Asshole." Twilight remarked. Starlight got up and walked away in shock. Twilight saw Spike come towards her.

"The hell happened? I heard commotion between you and Starlight. What's going on?" Spike asked.

"This mare and her little filly came to my castle to ask for help as they were poor and Starlight threatened them as she thought that they were going to harm me. I gave the mother money and I threw Starlight out and said she can't come back until she learned her lesson. Maybe she will learn not to be an asshole." Twilight said.

"She deserved it. You should tell Princess Celestia and Mayor Mare so they can force Starlight to do community service for what she did." Spike said.

"I'm tempted to do just that. I don't know. I will decide what to do when Starlight comes back tomorrow. Do you need anything Spike?" Twilight asked Spike. Spike shook his head.

"No I'm good. I'm going to go see if Rarity needs my help with anything." Spike said. Twilight smiled knowingly and rolled her eyes and Spike blushed.

"Alright Spike have fun. I'll be in the throne room." Twilight said. Spike nodded and went to see Rarity while Twilight went to her throne room. She hoped that Starlight would learn her lesson.

The next day Starlight came back to Twilight's with tears streaming down her face asking for forgiveness. Twilight decided to do what she told Spike and told Mayor Mare and Starlight. Starlight had to do community service for a few days so she did community service and then she asked for forgiveness after a few days and Twilight forgave her and allowed her to stop doing community service and allowed her to stay in her castle again.

Twilight was contacted by the mare again as the mare told her she was doing a lot better and that she got a small apartment and got medical care for her filly. Twilight was glad to hear that and wrote back to her saying that was great. The mare thanked her by letter and Twilight sent back a letter saying your welcome.

Twilight was glad that she could help somepony in need. She knew that she would do it again if another pony asked for her help. She knew that she had done the right thing and would continue to do the right thing.
