Balancing the Scales: Nexus
Prologue: Reminiscing
I sat in my chair surrounded by foals and adults. Today was the weekly story telling at the Ponyville schoolhouse. Mrs. Cheerilee was sitting at her desk working on paperwork and occasionally looking up and smiling. The Element bearers were here to listen as well because they were involved in today's story. “Ok is everyone here?” I ask looking around.
“Where's Crystal?” Violet asks.
“You know her Aunt Vi. She's got a lot to do and that tends to make her late occasionally.” Flurry replies. “She'll be here. She's probably just fixing a timeline.”
I smile and shake my head. “She'll get here when she does but I promised these foals a story and a story they'll get. We're not going to wait any longer.”
I clear my throat and look around. “Alright then. I think I know just the tale to tell. It's something you all have been waiting for and asking about for a long time. It's time I tell you all of the story of the Nexus World.” The foals all burst into cheers and applause. “Ok ok settle down now.” I say and smile. “I can't tell it with all the cheering.” As soon as I said that they all began to settle down and sit still.
“Now then. Let's begin.”
Author's Note
I don't do so well with prologues. So sorry this one is short. I will be posting as many chapters as I can get written. There is no real schedule with this story as I suck at schedules. I'll try not to make the period between chapters too long as I know how that can infuriate readers. As this is my first ever story constructive criticism is appreciated and encouraged.
There are so many characters and I'd like to tag all of them but there is a maximum of 5 character tags.
