For millenia, Equestrian society has flourished under the reign of the Princesses, righteous guiders of Equestria. War, crime, poverty - all of it had declined dramatically since the Old Age, times of tribalism and savagery.

Yet, inevitably, there were always those opposed to the System. And those who were willing to use violence, indiscriminately, to further it's destruction. When one such group succeeded in the impossible, Princess Twilight Sparkle was tasked by her former mentor, Princess Celestia, with heading an investigation and infiltration of the group.

This is the story of the unthinkable. This is the fall of Equestria.
