It's Raining.
"Sweetie Belle... We have much to do... Wake up... Wake up, and find me..."
Sweetie Belle's eyes shot open, the world around her was spinning as her eyes adjusted to the dark landscape around her. She was under a massive oak tree, the bark looked as if it were a thousand years old. She held her forehead with her hoof to soothe the swelling pain that coursed through her brain. The loud crickets of the night did not help with the headache. The moon looked like a shiny pearl in the sky, being the only light source that helped Sweetie Belle see. She slowly stood up. Her legs trembled like they hadn't been used in years.
She had only then noticed that there was a brown saddle bag leaning against the oak tree. It had a rough, yet shiny texture. She limped over and sat down in front of it. While using her horn to unzip the golden zipper, she noticed that she was having trouble using magic. She didn't think much of it though, for she was also having trouble using her legs. She pulled out the first thing that she felt with her hoof. It was a shiny, red apple. The moonlight shined off of the fruit like a light bulb. It was so perfect that she could have mistaken it for a ruby. It was only then that Sweetie Belle noticed how hungry she was. She took a huge bite out of the ruby apple. The apple seemed like the greatest thing she had ever eaten. It felt like she hadn't eaten in decades. Once she started, she couldn't stop. The entire apple was gone in seconds.
She reached back into the bag and felt something cold to the touch. She pulled it out with her magic. Sweetie Belle couldn't quite identify what the object was. It was like a stick, with metal parts and a hole at the front with strange red cylinders on one side. The metal was carefully carved to have a picture that could only be described as lewd. Her brow furrowed at the sight. She examined the object closer and realized that one part moved. So she pulled it back and-
CHA-CHK!
The sudden sound of the object frightened her, so she dropped it onto the grassy ground. She carefully pushed the object away as she reached back into the bag. She felt around the bag for more supplies. She yelped as she felt a coursing pain go through her fetlock. She quickly pulled her hoof out of the saddle bag to see a deep cut that was bleeding. she searched around the bag carefully to find something to stop the bleeding. She pulled multiple things out of the bag; including the knife that cut her, a heavy silver pendant that resembled the elements of harmony, but with an empty space for a jewel, a small flask, and a small piece of tattered purple cloth. Although it was sun bleached, she could still make out the CMC logo. She wrapped the cloth around her cut fetlock while trying to ignore the pain.
She picked up the silver pendant in her hoof, and put it on. She was surprised to find that the pendant fit perfectly around her neck. She began to wonder where the missing jewel was. It wasn't in the bag, for it was empty, and it wasn't in the area surrounding the tree. She put everything that she took out of the bag back into it, except the cloth and the pendant. She then put the saddle bag on her back and started walking through the night.
It's been at least an hour since Sweetie Belle departed. The weight of the saddle bag made her body ache as she trotted along. There was nothing for miles except grass, some dandelions, and a few owls, screeching at each other. As if the sun goddess heard her wish. She stumbled upon a path, made of rocks and dirt. The pebbles on the path were so sparkly she might've mistaken them for diamonds. So, she began to walk.... Again.
Eventually, a deep forest greeted her as she reached the end of the path. Seeing no way out except the path she came from, she decided to push through the forest and see what she could possibly come across.
Suddenly, Sweetie Belle began to hear a humming sound that resembled that of a unicorns magic. Curious, she headed towards the sound. While she was trotting through the bushes, Sweetie Belle was quickly stopped by giant vines with thorns, similar to that of the Everfree forests. She thought and thought of what to do, then she remembered her fetlock. So she pulled out the sharp knife and slashed at the vines. It didn't do too much damage, so she swung again, and again. Until the vines were sprawled all over the ground.
She went onward, expecting at least a clue as to what she was hearing, but alas, there was nothing but trees around her, and that hum.
She suddenly heard movement in the bushes. It startled her. Instantly forcing Sweetie Belle into a defensive pose looking into the deep thicket. She used her magic to hold up the knife as the dense brush continued to shake. Leaves flew up in the air as a small squirrel jumped out of the bush frantically running into Sweetie Belles leg. It fell onto its spine but surprisingly quickly got back up and ran into the bushes behind her. Just as it went into the bushes behind her she heard a small shriek come from the squirrel as the bushes behind her shook ferociously. Sweetie Belle slowly trotted towards the brush, with her knife in front of her head, ready to strike.
To her surprise, nothing happened for a minute. She could only hear the strange hum echoing through her ears. With curiosity, she took a peek under the dense brush. Only to be met with four, beady red eyes.

The figure leaped at Sweetie Belle, pinning her to the ground. It raised its head and bit down on her neck, sending a pain through her upper body. Out of pure reflex, she held up the knife with her magic and stabbed the creature in the side, spewing emerald liquids all over her stomach. Somehow, the creature was still holding on tight, so she wrapped her hooves around the beast and rolled over until she hit a tree, the tree hit the creature's side, thus sending the knife deeper through the creature's skin before it jumped off of her. Sweetie Belle quickly withdrew the knife from the creature's side and stood up.
This time, she was able to get a good look at it.
The beast was about the same size as Sweetie Belle. Its ragged yellow feathers made it look as if the creature recently bathed in mud. It had four red eyes that seemed to glow. The creature had obnoxiously large wings, and one sharp beak with rows of teeth on the inside. Its body resembled an insect, with a single row of plating on its stomach, four bug-like legs, and one massive stinger.
The creature could only be described as an abomination.
As it pounced on her again, she drove her knife straight into its stomach as it flew at her, splattering more green bodily fluids over her. It wrapped its slim black legs around her, knocking her down a hill that went previously unnoticed. Sweetie Belle and the beast tumbled down the steep slope. She winced in pain as she went through multiple bushes; eventually running into yet another tree, sending both of them flying through the air. Sweetie Belle landed hard on her back. She slowly stood up and began to limp in an attempt to run away, only to have the beast bite down on her tail and yank her back, throwing her straight into a thorn bush. It pounced again. She rolled to the side, and quickly withdrew the blade from the abomination's stomach with her magic. The creature fell into the thorn bush, and it began to thrash around and screech furiously until it eventually untangled itself from the bush. It then stood up and limped towards Sweetie Belle.
It stopped.
The creature began to make sounds unlike Sweetie Belle has ever heard before. It started to convulse and foam up its mouth. It made a gruesome sound as its back split open; revealing yet another creature covered in glowing green ooze. It looked exactly like the other one, but smaller. She ran up to the creature as fast as she could, wrapped her hooves around its neck, and quickly plunged her knife deep into the beasts head, making the second one come out almost instantly. She continued to stab the first one until it dropped dead. The second one jumped on her. To her surprise, it ripped the cloth off of her cut fetlock, and it stepped down on top of it with great force. She screamed in pain. Sweetie Belle instantly slit the monster's throat out of reflex with her knife. The beast loosened its grip, and she kicked it off of her.
The monster fell to the ground, but it got back up instantly. It made a sound that resembled a broken radio. Its head jerked around a few times as it slowly spread it's massive wings, and started to fly. Sweetie Belle began to back up as the creature's eyes began to glow. Red lightning-like magic enveloped the beast's body as it pointed its beak straight at her. Then, without warning, its body shot forward like a speeding arrow. She quickly jumped out of the way as it barreled towards her. The creature zoomed past Sweetie Belle, cutting straight through yet another tree.
Sweetie Belle picked up the cloth and began to run as the beast charged up yet another attack. Sparks of red lightning flew past her head as she ran. Without any warning at all, The monster pummeled her once again with such force she face-planted into the soil. It began to fly up with Sweetie Belle in its arms. She struggled as hard as she could, the creature stabbed her in the back with its large stinger. She yelped and continued to flail her limbs around, Making her saddlebag hang open. The strange object that frightened her fell out of the saddle bag. She used her magic to catch it and-
*BANG*
The two of them plummeted towards the ground.
Sweetie Belle came to her senses and rolled the creature's unmoving body off of her. She noticed multiple yellow feathers scattered across the ground. Half of the creature's head was gone, and the only eye that remained was popped out in a green bloody mess. She stared at the corpse, then the strange object with wide eyes. She now understood that it was a weapon. She felt sick. The only thing she could think of doing to suppress the urge to vomit was to look up at the moon. As she stared into the sky, Sweetie Belle noticed something very off.
The sun was coming up, yet the moon was still high in the sky.
She bit her lip, thinking about the fact that Luna and especially not Celestia would allow something like this to happen. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her neck. She raised her hoof quickly to feel what was there. It was a tranquilizer dart.
Sweetie Belle passed out.
"Why do we have to take a pony? Didn't he say that they needed changelings and that if we find any ponies we should kill them on the spot?"
"Come on, I'm tellin' ya, this one is special!"
"She killed two Brimbles with a knife. Big deal. We shoot up the damn things almost every day."
"Almost no one kills them alone. You know that."
"Can you both just shut the hell up? The fact that a pony killed a brimble is alarming and you know that. This one is strong."
"For a mare that is."
"Sexist cuck..."
"What?"
"What?"
"You are an asshole ya know that?"
"FOR ENZO'S SAKE WILL YOU BOTH STOP ACTING LIKE SMALL CHILDREN AND LOAD HER UP!?!"
"Y-Yes sir."

"Hello?... Ma'am?... Are you ok?"
Sweetie Belle's eyes opened to see a dark figure looming over her.
"Yeah... I'm-"
Her words were instantly silenced when her eyes adjusted enough to see that the figure was not another pony, but a changeling. She shot herself upwards, hitting the changeling in the jaw with her front hooves as she stood up. She attempted to use her magic, but it didn't work for some reason.
"Ow!" The changeling yelped. "I- EEK!"
The changeling opened its eyes only to be met with a sharp horn pointed directly at its muzzle.
"Where am I, why is my magic not working, and who are you?" Sweetie Belle demanded with the most powerful voice she could manage, even though she was terrified of facing the changeling.
"L-Listen ma'am... I-I'm not fully sure of our current location either!" The changeling said with a quivering voice. "B-But... your horn is blocked by a magic suppressor, a-and I don't know my name... Just don't s-stab me with your horn!" It pleaded with tears in its eyes.
Seeing that the creature had no intention of hurting her, Sweetie Belle slowly lowered her defenses a bit. As she allowed her other senses to kick in, the putrid smell of blood and urine struck her harder than a manticore. She scrunched up her muzzle furiously while still aiming her horn directly at the changeling. She cautiously turned her eyes to look around the room they were trapped in. They were in a rectangular room with a single light dimly illuminating the strong metal walls that surrounded them. There was a rectangular crease in one of the walls that signified an opening, but without her magic or a handle, there was no way she could possibly open it on her own. She slowly turned back to the creature.
"...Why didn't you feed on my love?" She asked, puzzled at the thought of a nice changeling.
"Oh! Make no mistake ma'am, I-I don't do that... Anymore..." The changeling answered.
"Uh-huh..." Sweetie belle said with a raised eyebrow. "Alright, I trust you. Just don't try anything stupid, got tha-"
"Understood Ma'am!" The changeling saluted.
"Right... Do you have any idea how we could get out of here?" She asked while skimming over the room once more.
"I haven't tried it yet, but that large rusty spot on the wall seems to be unstable enough that it could break... If you hit it hard enough that is..."
The creature cowered back down.
"How would that work, exactly?" She asked.
"Well, that door is obviously electrical, considering there is no key hole, or knob." The changeling replied. "And the rusty spot is near the door, meaning there is a possibility that you could find some wires within the wall, and perhaps cutting one will override the door controls, setting us free."
"Oh... Well, okay." She replied.
Sweetie Belle slowly walked to the rusty spot, turning around and getting into a bucking stance.
"Wait... why can't you do this?"
"Changelings have an advantage in magical power, not strength ma'am, and I can't really do anything with this suppressor on."
"Okay... I'm not a very strong mare, but... I guess I'll try." Sweetie belle sighed.
She lifted her legs up as high as possible, then thrust her back hooves into the rusty spot, making a crack in the rust. She lifted her legs once again and bucked the spot again, and the oxidized metal shattered. Sweetie Belle looked back at the hole, completely stunned that she was able to even damage the spot, much less completely destroy it.
"Ma'am?... You seem a bit... Confused..."
"No... It's just... I didn't expect to actually break it." Sweetie Belle replied.
"Hmm... In my personal opinion, every creature has hidden potential, even if it's small things like that." It said.
"Huh... Well, It seems we're in luck, there are a few wires in the wall. How do you suppose we cut them?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Well, we could use your pendant. It looks awfully sharp. Then again it is made of metal, which means... Hmm..."
"Meh I'll try it."
"Y- Huh‽" The changeling was stunned by Sweetie Belle's disregard of the possibility of being electrocuted. "Ma'am, with all due respect, we don't know how much electricity is travelling through that thing. It could kill you!"
"I've already been bitten on my neck by a bird-spider-bee. This will be nothing."
"W-Well, if you insist..."
Sweetie belle held the silver pendant between her hooves and carefully slid it into the rusty hole. She cut the wire and the door swung open.
"Well... That's convenient... And nice." Sweetie belle said.
"Are you alright?" The changeling asked.
"Yeah... It actually didn't really shock me at all."
"Wait... That's not possi-"
"Why the hell is the door open? You fucking idiots. You let them fr- wait... They're gonna escape!"
Sweetie belle dashed forward at the bipedal figure and jabbed her horn straight into the creatures neck. Blood poured out of the wound and onto her forehead. She pulled out her horn and wiped the crimson liquid from her face. To her surprise, it was a dragon. The dragon fell to the ground.
It was dead.
She looked down at the lizard, wondering why a dragon would do something like this. Especially considering the truce the dragons and the ponies made only a few months ago. This of course, did not help suppress her urge to vomit.
The changeling looked stunned as it wept uncontrollably.
"Oh... I forgot you were there. Lets go."
The changeling whimpered as it cowered away when Sweetie approached it.
"It's okay!" She reassured it, "I'm not gonna hurt you."
She carefully picked up the creature and hung it over her back. Sweetie carried it out of the room and onto a campground of sorts. Multiple metal chambers similar to the one they were held in surrounded them. All of which were empty. As Sweetie Belle was looking in the last chamber, she caught a faint glimpse of a red dot moving along the wall towards them and eventually onto her head. She squeaked and quickly ducked down.
BANG!!!
Sweetie Belle heard metal breaking. The magic suppressor fell off her horn as she quickly dashed behind one of the chambers.
"Shit!" She heard a voice yell from far away.
Sweetie belle put up a magic shield and dashed into the forest. Hearing at least 3 more bangs before they finally stopped. She ran for what seemed like 30 minutes before finding and running into a cave.
"So, uhh... You alright?" Sweetie Belle asked as she carefully set the changeling on the ground.
"Y-you killed him! You stabbed him in the neck!" The changeling remarked as it backed into a wall of the cave. "The heck do you mean 'am I alright‽'"
"Just asking a question... You wanna come find some resources with me deeper in the ca-"
"No thanks I'm fine!" The changeling sarcastically replied.
Sweetie Belle sighed as she went only a few meters deeper into the cave until her hooves were swept off the ground by the wet rock beneath her. She tried to catch herself, but failed as she fell into a deep hole in the cave.
"Ma'am!!!"
