Nightmare Moon has won over the powerful Goddess of the Sun, plunging the world of Equis into an eternal night. Years later, the mare begins to question her choices as well as the subjects she rules. When one fateful fight forces the mare to come to grips with her mortality, Nightmare Moon must make a decision that will effect the whole of Equis. But she must ask herself a simple question.
