David immigrated to Equestria years ago, like many other humans. He's had an enjoyable life there. One morning he wakes to find a mare asleep in his bed and no memory of the night before. Trying to piece together what happened the night before with the help of two mares, the pegasus Summer Breeze and unicorn Mystique, David finds he was missing more than a piece of memory.
