//-------------------------------------------------------// Sunburst's Quest for Love -by StormLuna- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Frustration and Advice //-------------------------------------------------------// Frustration and Advice Sunburst's Question Spring had arrived in Canterlot and the spirits of the students were beginning to brighten. Not only were the temperatures starting to warm up, the end of the school year was in sight. That was not the only thing that was in sight though, the Spring Formal, the biggest dance of the school year was also in sight and while the couples had already made plans to go with one another, some of the singles were hoping to attract a date so maybe they could find a relationship themselves. Another Friday afternoon had arrived and the students were headed home for a weekend free of the stresses involved in school. Like they always do, Starlight and Trixie headed out of the school, arm in arm and hand in hand talking about the plans they had for the weekend. Walking right behind them was a student who couldn't keep his eyes off one of the girls in front of him, Sunburst. Heading down the stairs on most afternoons was a challenge but it was even more so on Fridays since every student crowded the stairs in their desperation to get home. Sunburst never was one for crowds but when he got bumped from behind, he stumbled forward and knocked the two girls in front of him down. The crowd stopped moving so that the girls would have the space they needed to get up. Once they had got up the two girls gave Sunburst a scowl and one said, "Watch where you're going, you could have hurt us." The other added, "And you don't want to know what The Great and Powerful Trixie would do if you hurt her bestie Starlight!" Both girls grunted and began to walk away before Sunburst got their attention, "Starlight, wait!" The girls turned around and with the same scowl they had earlier, Starlight grunted, "What?" Sunburst asked, "Well I was kind of hoping that we could talk." Starlight pointed over towards the horse statue and replied, "Well make it quick and let's get out of everyone's way." Sunburst nodded and followed the girls. He couldn't help but keep his eyes on Starlight but also watched both with a curious look on his face as they had their arms around one another. Once they were out of everyone's way Starlight glared at him and asked, "What? What is it you want?" Sunburst was a rather shy individual and had never interacted with Starlight before. He began, "Well my name is Sunburst....." Starlight grunted, "Who?" Trixie laughed, "He's one of the nerds that are always up in the front row dutifully taking notes in physics class." Starlight sighed, "Oh." She then turned to Sunburst and ordered, "Look, Trixie and I want to get away from this place as quickly as possible so state your business and make it quick." Sunburst could tell that Starlight was less than thrilled and became more nervous than normal. He was a bit afraid to ask Starlight what he wanted to but knew that if he didn't do it then, that he may not do it at all. He asked, "Well, as you kn-know, the Spring Formal is coming up and, and I was won-wondering if you'd go with me?" Starlight tightened her hold on Trixie and laughed, "You're joking, right? I don't even know you and you want me to go with you to some dumb dance?" Sunburst could tell that this was likely not going to go the way he wanted but then something crossed his mind, "I know you don't know me but maybe we could go out some......" Starlight interrupted, "No, Trixie and I have plans." Sunburst gasped, "But you don't even know when......" Trixie pointed her finger in his face and snapped, "Look, The Great and Powerful Trixie and Starlight always have plans, always." Sunburst pleaded, "Please Starlight, I want to get to know...." Starlight, like Trixie, pointed her finger in his face and snapped, "What part of no don't you get? Are you stupid or something?" The two had no desire to deal with him any further so they turned their backs and started to walk away. To send Sunburst a clear message that Starlight had no desire to even deal with him, they both planted their hands on the other's butt and walked away. Sunburst hung his head in defeat and realized that unless he did something special to impress her, that his chances of taking her to the dance were zero. Seeking Advice Sunburst had been rejected by the girl that he had a crush on and felt terrible about hit. He held his head low and sighed, "Unless I do something to impress her, I don't have a chance with her." Some of the other students had stayed around to watch his interaction with Starlight and weren't surprised by how it turned out but one student, a student who had been rejected himself, felt bad for him. He approached him and said, "I'm sorry man, I'm sorry it didn't work out." Sunburst looked up to see who had spoken to him and was shocked by who it was, it was the most popular boy at CHS, Flash Sentry. He asked, "Flash Sentry?" Flash replied, "Yes, I'm Flash Sentry." He used his hand to lift Sunburst's head up and continued, "Look, I know you want that Starlight girl to like you but I don't think it's going to happen." Sunburst asked, "Why not? You always have girls flirting with you." His paranoid side began to come out and he thought Sunburst may be insulting him. He continued, "What, you think she wouldn't want me because I'm not attractive, because I don't play the guitar, because I'm not muscular......" Flash interrupted, "Sunburst, I didn't say that." He paused for a moment before continuing, "I'm saying it probably won't happen because I don't think Starlight is into guys." Sunburst gasped, "What?" He couldn't comprehend the idea of a girl not being into guys, especially an attractive girl like Starlight. Flash Saw the look of shock on his face and continued, "Sunburst, just watch how her and Trixie interact. They haven't ever formally came out but everyone at school knows they're an item, everyone knows they're lesbians." Sunburst asked, "Lesbians, you mean they only like girls?" Flash replied, "Yes, they only like girls. They are like Lyra and Bon Bon but instead of being subtle about it, those two basically scream it to the world so that everyone knows." Sunburst at first looked dejected but then something crossed his mind. He asked, "Are there girls who like both girls and boys?" Flash replied, "Actually yes but when it comes to Starlight, I think it would be best if you cut your losses." He then lowered his voice and continued, "This may surprise you but even I've been shot down." Sunburst's eyes grew wide as he asked, "Wait a minute, even you have been shot down." He became more calm and continued, "By who?" Flash replied, "There is this girl, Twilight Sparkle, that I have a major crush on." Sunburst asked, "Twilight Sparkle? Her and I study together all the time!" Flash replied, "Yes. Well I asked her out on a date once and she told me that she was too busy studying." Sunburst sighed, "Yeah, I can understand that." He wanted to get past the small talk and get to what is important. He stood taller and asked, "Alright, what do I need to do to get her attention? What can I do or get for her that girls love?" Flash could tell that Sunburst wasn't simply going to let this go, he wasn't just going to cut his losses. He replied, "Well a lot of girls like roses and I know some girls who like guys that do things like go on a live stream and sing them songs." The wheels inside of Sunburst's head began to turn and very quickly he knew what had to be done. He exclaimed, "Of course! I'll get Starlight some roses, that should win her over!" Before Flash could even respond, Sunburst had taken off. He couldn't help but shake his head in frustration. He obviously had concerns about Sunburst but also had a bad feeling about what Starlight and Trixie might do if he just showed up to school with a bouquet of roses. //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparing to Visit Starlight //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparing to Visit Starlight Finding Starlight's Home After his talk with Flash, Sunburst had decided that he was going to try and do something romantic. He had decided that not only was he going to write a romantic poem for Starlight, but he was also going to buy a dozen roses and deliver them to her at home. There was only one problem, he had no clue where Starlight lived. He thought to himself, "How can I do this if I don't even know where she lives." His head shot up as he continued, "Of course, her and Trixie headed to the north. Maybe if I run, I can catch up with them and see where she lives." Sunburst had never been an athlete but knew that if he was to discover where the object of his affection lived, that he would have to run and run fast so he took off to the north. It was not too long after he began to run that he felt a burning sensation in his lungs and had begun to sweat. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath and said to himself, "Come on Sunburst, you have to keep going!" He again took off, sprinting as fast as he could in the dress shoes that he always wore. After what seemed to be forever for him, he finally saw Trixie and Starlight heading into what appeared to be a fairly nice house. Once they headed inside, he crept up to the house and noticed a marking on the door, one similar to a design that is on Trixie's dress. He said to himself, "Well this has to be Trixie's house! Now I have to wait for Starlight to head home and who knows how long it will take." Sunburst hid in some bushes and waited until he saw not only Starlight leave, but Trixie as well. He was in a state of shock when he saw both girls go into what was Starlight's house. At first he couldn't help but wonder why both girls would head into that house until two things came to his mind, either Trixie and Starlight were having a sleepover or Trixie actually lived with Starlight given how close they were. He approached the house and after looking at it for a minute, he noticed that there was a security camera watching his every move. He realized that he had to leave but in the process, he activated a motion sensor causing a light to come on. This was his cue that he had better get going, especially if Starlight had a monitor inside that she could monitor everything that the camera saw. Preparing to Visit Starlight Once Sunburst discovered where Starlight lived, he began the long journey to his home on the other side of town. The trip home was even longer and when he arrived home, it was about an hour after midnight but he did not care. He had discovered where Starlight lived and despite being tired, he put the next part of his plan into action, writing a romantic poem that would be sure to woo the girl he had a crush on. Sunburst had always been the analytical, academic type. Writing poetry and doing anything else creative had never been his strong point but he knew this had to be done. He grabbed a notebook and a pen and sat down to get to work. He sat there for fifteen minutes tapping the pen on the paper and he sighed, "Ugh, why must this be so hard? Why are words so hard to come up with?" He lowered his head onto his desk until something crossed his mind, "I've got it! I'll get online and look for poems!" Sunburst turned on his computer and got online. Once he got his browser loaded, the very first thing he did was search for romantic poems. When the results came up, he was overwhelmed as he had no idea that there were that many romantic poems. As he began to go through them, he saw that there were ones for married couples, ones for engagement, ones for serious couples but was seeing none that were designed for a boy to try and win a girl's affection. He began to bang his head on his desk and grunted, "Ugh, I can't even find a poem on the internet, this is hopeless!" When he was banging his head on the desk, his head hit his mouse and clicked it. When he sat back up he saw the next page of results had shown up on the screen, a page that had exactly what he was looking for. He pumped his fist and cheered, "Yes, just what I'm looking for!" He grabbed his pen and began to write it down. * If you only knew how beautiful you are to me You'd know I see an angel every time I look at you. I get short of breath my heart first skips a beat. Then speeds up fast. Feeling as if it will pound right out of my chest. You're so beautiful I wish I had more than two pictures. of which I could get comfort and admire That perfect smile which enraptures me through and through I look at them and I say I love you. I miss you so very much. They provide me comfort in those hardest times. When I'm so very lonely and need you by my side. You're so very beautiful to me. If you only knew how much. You're divine to me as a perfect jewel. I just want to hold and kiss you all night long. You're just beautiful through and through. He smiled and said to himself, "I know this will work, these sweet words will win her over." He looked at his clock and notice that it was almost three in the morning and realized that he had better get some rest. He turned everything off and laid there with a smile on his face realizing that later that day would be his chance to win over Starlight and get her to go to the spring formal with him. The following morning Sunburst was late to rise but he figured that this was likely for the best so that he would be well rested for when he went to visit Starlight. After grabbing a quick bite to eat he headed to the local florist to buy Starlight something he knew that she couldn't resist, a dozen roses. Author's Note * You are So Beautiful (https://cutelovequotesforher.org/youre-so-beautiful-poems-for-her/) The poem, You are So Beautiful was written by Michael P. McParland //-------------------------------------------------------// Visiting Starlight //-------------------------------------------------------// Visiting Starlight After buying Starlight a dozen roses Sunburst took off towards the north end of town, where Starlight lived. While the walk wasn't horribly long, it was still longer than he would like and given that temperatures were getting warmer, he had begun to sweat which caused him a bit of concern. He knew though that there was no going back as he had written down the poem and more importantly, spent a fair amount of money on roses for her. It was early in the afternoon when he finally arrived at Starlight's house. He initially thought about going and knocking on her door but then realized that with as close as her and Trixie were, that she may be over at her place so he headed across the street to see if she was there first. He knocked on the door and for a minute there was no answer. He sighed, "Well she must either......" The door opened and he heard a voice ask, "Who is it? Who is it that is disturbing The Awesome and Amazing Moonrise?" Sunburst turned around to see a taller woman, dressed in a dress similar to what Trixie usually wears, only it was darker. He figured that she was likely Trixie's mom so he asked, "Uh, hi. I was wondering if Starlight is here?" Moonrise gave him a scowl and snapped, "Who the hell are you and for your information, Starlight doesn't even live here." Sunburst replied, "Well my name is Sunburst and I know your daughter and Starlight are really close....." Moonrise yelled, "Look, get off my doorstep unless you want me calling the cops." She slammed the door and this was Sunburst's cue to get going. He then realized that perhaps he should have checked Starlight's house so he went back across the street to Starlight's house. Just as he was getting ready to knock on the door he heard a yell, "You bastard ref, he was off-side! That goal shouldn't count!" He could tell that the yell was that of Starlight and wondered not only what she was talking about but whether or not this was a good time. Finally he mustered up the courage to knock on the door. After knocking on the door he heard another yell, "Coming!" The other voice was that of Trixie, which did not surprise him. Before he could think anything about her being there the door opened and Trixie answered, "Hello?" She then saw who it was and grunted, "Oh, it's you. What do you want?" Sunburst replied, "Well I was kind of hoping I could talk to Starlight for a few minutes." They heard Starlight cheering over the scoring of a goal and they had different thoughts. Sunburst thought that maybe she would be in a better mood but Trixie knew that tearing her away from the game would be a mistake. She rolled her eyes and sighed, "Look, disturbing Starlight while hockey is on is a serious mistake and even The Great and Powerful Trixie knows not to disturb her when hockey is on!" Sunburst figured that maybe if he talked to her in the living room things would be alright, that she could still watch her game and he would get to talk to her. He asked, "Could I come in and talk to her?" Trixie knew that allowing Sunburst into the house would be a serious mistake. She sighed, "No, you can't come in. Trixie shall go and see if she can tear Starlight away from her game to talk to you." Sunburst sighed in frustration as Trixie headed back to the front room. Starlight was in a much better mood given that her team had retaken the lead. When she saw Trixie standing there she asked, "What is it Trixie?" Trixie replied, "There is this guy at the door who wants to talk to you." Starlight grunted, "Yeah, and." She developed a scowl on her face and added, "Tell the idiot to come back later, no one disturbs me when Vanhoover is playing, especially since we don't get many of their games to start with." Without warning, Sunburst went into their house and headed where he heard the talking. When he got in there, Starlight would not be one bit pleased. She saw him standing there and yelled, "What the hell are you doing in our house." She turned to Trixie and asked, "Did you let him in?" Trixie replied, "No, I guess he just followed me in." The second period of the game ended and it went to intermission so Starlight decided that the time to run off their unwanted visitor had arrived. She scowled at him and growled, "What the hell do you want?" Sunburst replied, "Well I just wanted to give you these flowers." He approached Starlight and gave her the roses. She looked up at him and grunted, "And for what purpose?" Sunburst replied, "Because I think you're beautiful and I want to get to know you." He saw her face turning an angry red before continuing, "Before you get mad, I want to share a poem with you." Starlight's rage was quickly building but she decided to placate him and let him read the poem. Sunburst pulled out the paper he had written it down on and read, * If you only knew how beautiful you are to me You'd know I see an angel every time I look at you. When he finished reading it, Starlight was even more angry. She yelled, "What, you waste my time to read me a poem?" She got up, shoved the flowers in Sunburst's face and sneered, "You know what, I've got my own poem for you! In our house there stands a rat oh how I'd love to smash it with a bat. Oh why the hell won't it go away So it won't be something I must slay. Can it not see that it is something I hate Is that something I have to state? Unless its stalking stops I will most certainly call the cops!" Sunburst analyzed the less than pleasant poem and then realized what she said in the very first line, our house. He asked, "Our house, as in your and Trixie's house?" The intermission of the hockey game was drawing to a close and Starlight wanted to hurry up and get him out of there and figured he should know the truth so hopefully he would leave her alone. She snapped, "Yes, Trixie and I live together and we love one another so you will never have a chance with me." He said, "Please just give me....." Starlight shoved him and yelled, "Get out of OUR house before I do call the cops." Trixie shoved him out of the house, slammed the door shut and locked it. When Trixie returned to the front room, she found a Starlight that was furious. She cast her gaze at her and asked, "Starlight, I'm sorry he followed me in. I thought he would know that when I said you wouldn't talk to him, he would leave." Starlight sighed, "It's alright Trixie." She then turned her attention to the TV and after what had happened, she couldn't get back into her game. She turned the TV off and continued, "You know what Trixie, I can't even get into the game now." She stood up, grabbed Trixie's hand and suggested, "How about we go upstairs and unwind. After what just happened, I need a release." Trixie knew what she was talking about and was ecstatic as Starlight choosing unwinding over hockey was very rare. She joyfully asked, "I take it you're thinking about sexy times?" Starlight, who was just a few minutes ago very angry, had become much happier and giggled, "You must have been reading my mind!" Author's Note * Source of the poem is in the author's notes in the previous chapter. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Second Visit With Starlight //-------------------------------------------------------// Getting the Message Out After not only being flat out rejected by Starlight, but learning that she and Trixie live together, Sunburst headed home with his head hung low and tears streaming down his face. Given that he had never asked a girl out before, this was the first time that he had been shot down. When he finally got home, he rushed into his room and collapsed down on his bed. As he laid there he cried, "I don't get it, how could a girl love another girl? It's just not natural!" He continued to wrack his brain, thinking about how he could perhaps open Starlight's eyes to what he thought was natural and not what he believed simply shouldn't happen. He learned that day that roses would not sway her and that poetry would not either. He then decided that he would get online to see what other guys do to woo the girls they have a crush on. When he got online, he began his search and at first found stories of guys doing exactly what he did but actually succeeded. He sighed, "I tried that and failed! There has to be something else." He continued his search and then an article caught his attention, an article about a guy doing a live stream that the girl saw and threatened to do something crazy that would harm himself unless the girl called and begged him not to. He read through it and discovered that in the end not only did the girl call and plead with him to not harm himself, but in the end they became engaged to be married. He exclaimed, "That's it, I've got to find something crazy to do on a live stream and invite Starlight to watch it." He then began to wonder what it was that he could do that would cause not just her, but many people to watch. He then read about a new fad that some people their age was doing involving eating laundry detergent pods and in a couple of instances, girls had called guys at the last moment to stop them and they did wind up developing a relationship. At that moment he decided that he would do just that, it was just a matter of getting people to watch, especially Starlight. Sunburst had one problem, he had very few friends on MuzzleMag, the primary social media site, but was determined to get Starlight's attention. The first thing he did was search for her and what frustrated him was that at first he was not finding her anywhere on there but all he found in the results was a user that went by the name StarTrix GlimMoon. While he wasn't completely sure who it was, the fact that it seemed to be a combination of her and Trixie's names, he clicked on the link and sure enough, it was their shared account. Given that he was not a friend of the user, all he was able to see was their picture and sure enough it was of them. The picture was of them clinging to one another. Other than that though, all he could access was their basic information and when he read it, he learned that Flash Sentry was right about them, that they were lesbians. He continued to think, "How can that be? It isn't natural, it just doesn't make sense!" He continued to think and then he thought of something, what if they simply claimed this but they truly weren't like that, that they really did like guys and were just being silly. At first he was unsure but then eventually he decided to send a friend request to StarTrix GlimMoon. Not only did he send a request, he discovered he could send them a message without actually being friends. He sent a message that read, "Starlight, I am not sure if you are interested but I am doing a live stream on Sunday night at seven and I hope you will watch. I just want to tell you how I truly feel and given that I will be doing it for all to see, you should know I am speaking the truth. Hopefully I'll see you on Monday. Love, Sunburst" While Sunburst was friends with the other smart kids at school, he was not friends with any of the other students so there wouldn't be that many to watch him pour his heart out to Starlight and do what he hoped would get her to notice him. He figured that if the two did not check their social media account that often, he send friend requests to students that they were close to and the one student who had shown he cared a bit, Flash Sentry. He then decided to send them all messages hoping that it would not only cause them to accept his friend requests but watch the live stream as well. Much to his delight, many of the students he sent friend requests to were actually accepting his requests and sending him messages stating that they would watch his live stream. By the time he headed to bed that night, every single request he sent had been accepted, except for one, he had yet to be accepted by Starlight and Trixie. He sighed, "Well maybe they will get on tomorrow and accept it." //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunburst Get's a Date //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunburst's Live Stream Sunday afternoon arrived and it was just a few hours until Sunburst would spill his guts regarding his feelings for Starlight for all to see and if he didn't hear from her, do something completely outlandish. Throughout the day, he continued to check his account and still, Starlight had yet to accept his friend request, much less respond to his message. He threw his hands up in the air and groaned, "Ugh, do those two even get on here on weekends?" He then remembered how hockey obsessed Starlight was and continued, "Maybe she's been watching hockey. Maybe they will get on later." At Starlight and Trixie's house, like she always does on Sunday afternoons, Starlight was screaming at the TV watching hockey while Trixie had decided to get on their computer and see what was going on on MuzzleMag. When she got on she saw that they had a friend request and would be surprised by who it was from. Not only was she surprised, but she was also worried about how Starlight would react to it so she figured she better call her in before accepting it. Trixie yelled, "Starlight, come here! I have to show you something." While Starlight was just as much into this game as she was others, since it was not Vanhoover playing she yelled, "Alright, just a minute!" Starlight headed into their computer room to find Trixie on their shared account. She continued, "Trixie, what is it?" Trixie pointed at the screen and replied, "Look who sent us a friend request." Starlight looked and immediately her face turned red in anger. She yelled, "Can't he just listen? Doesn't he know what the word no means?" Trixie then opened the messages and continued, "And he sent us a message as well." Starlight read the message and grunted, "So, he wants us to watch his stupid live stream huh?" Normally Starlight would not want to even have to see his face on a computer screen but something began to cross her mind. She knelt down, groped Trixie's breasts and laughed, "You know something, perhaps we should watch it." She then gave Trixie a kiss before continuing, "We can get a laugh out of watching him pour his stupid feelings out and then go unwind." Trixie gave her a huge smile and giggled, "That sounds like a perfect plan!" Starlight looked at the clock and sighed, "Well it is still three hours until he makes a fool out of himself." She took the mouse and clicked accept on his friend request and continued, "There, now we can watch it." Trixie gasped, "Can't we watch it without having to be friends with him?" Starlight replied, "Actually no but we'll watch his live stream and then once he is finished, we'll unfriend him and move on like this never happened." Trixie said, "Sounds like a good plan to me!" It was five minutes until seven when Sunburst was getting everything set up for his live stream. He had got dressed in his finest clothes, he had showered and had his hair fixed just right and if it came down to it, he grabbed several detergent pods to hopefully get Starlight's attention. After noticing that Starlight had accepted his request, he decided to start the live stream. "Hello everyone. First I would like to thank all of you who accepted my friend requests and are watching this tonight. Now I would like to get on to why I'm doing this live stream. Starlight Glimmer, if you are watching, I want you to know that I love you, I truly love you. I'm not sure if you have ever noticed or if you are so lost in Trixie that you simply can't tell it, but I have a crush on you. I have had a crush on you ever since you moved here from Vanhoover a few years back. I know you said on Friday that you didn't want to go to the spring formal with me or even get to know me but I'm begging you, please reconsider. I promise you that if we get to know one another and pursue a relationship, that I will treat you like a queen and we can have a truly magical night at the spring formal." Starlight and Trixie were sitting at home in front of their computer in a state of amusement. Starlight couldn't help but laugh, "Seriously, he's doing a live stream just to tell everyone how he feels about me?" Trixie added, "Seriously, right? I knew he was pathetic but I didn't know he was this pathetic." Starlight gave her a kiss before saying, "Alright, let's get back to watching his whiny comedy act." Sunburst began to sniffle a little, "Starlight, I know you were very rude to me on Friday when I approached you on Friday about going to the spring formal but even though you rejected me and you and Trixie grabbed one another's butts, that didn't lessen my love for you. Then yesterday, I brought you a dozen roses and read a romantic poem I found online for you and you treat me worse, but my love for you still has not lessened any. I don't know if Trixie will ever always be there for you but I promise you I would. I'm begging you, just please give me a chance and you won't regret it. Speaking of Trixie, a fellow student told me that you and Trixie are lesbians and that I should just cut my losses but I don't want to. I refuse to believe that because girls loving other girls just isn't natural, it doesn't make any sense and it is gross. Even if you two do stay together, it's not like you could ever have real sex, share the joy of having a family and raising children. The most you would get out of her is groping and other activities girls shouldn't do together." Starlight and Trixie sat at their computer in a state of shock over what they were hearing. Trixie grunted, "Says the loser who will die a virgin." Starlight added, "You got that right now let's see what else he is going to whine about." Sunburst began to tear up, "Starlight, please, please give me a chance. I'll treat you better than Trixie ever could but I'm going to issue you a challenge." He held up multiple detergent pods for all to see and continued, "If you don't message me begging me not to do this and say that you want to get to know me, I'll eat these detergent pods and if I die, my death will be your fault!" Trixie and Starlight saw this and were not happy about it. Starlight yelled, "What, my fault? You're the one that's doing this you idiot, I'm not forcing you to eat those things!" Trixie grabbed Starlight and replied, "Starlight, don't let this stress you out, alright." Starlight asked, "I know but I can't help but wonder how we will be received at school tomorrow because chances are a good portion of the student body is watching this pathetic display of his." Trixie sighed, "Hey, if they treat us like dirt, we'll just tell them that this was his doing, not our fault!" Starlight gave her a smile, "Sounds like a good plan to me!" Once Sunburst saw that there was no message from Starlight, despite getting messages from pretty much everyone else to not do it, he placed the first pod in his mouth and bit into it. He began to gag but was not about to wimp out on this so he made sure to eat every last bit of detergent before spitting the plastic out. He had suds foaming out of his mouth and he cried, "Starlight, it's up to you. If you'd rather I die than dump Trixie and give me a chance, like I said, my death will be all your fault." After receiving more messages to please stop, he took a second one and bit into it as well, doing as he did with the first. He still saw no message from Starlight and began crying and then began to consume a third. He continued to cough up suds and began to wobble as he sat there at his computer. He began to cough violently as the suds were causing a tickle in the back of his throat. Sitting at their computer, Starlight and Trixie sat there with their mouths hanging open in shock. Both of them never imagined that his live stream would turn into him eating detergent pods like they were going out of style. Starlight did a facepalm and gasped, "Is he really that pathetic? He thinks he'll get my attention by doing something that stupid?" Trixie laughed, "Apparently so. It looks like I'm going to be right, he'll die a virgin." Starlight groped her and giggled, "What do you say we quit watching this, unfriend that moron and then go engage in our favorite activities." Trixie giggled back, "Good idea sexy girl! Let's go have some fun!" Starlight turned off the live stream and unfriended Sunburst before logging out of their account. As they rushed up to their bedroom Starlight gagged, "You know, there are simply some things that can't be unseen and him foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog is one of them." Trixie gagged, "You got that right but after we have our fun, all of this will be forgotten!" Starlight laughed, "You got that right!" As Sunburst continued his live stream, he started in on a fourth pod before becoming weak and barely being coherent. Everyone who was still watching gasped in shock and many were messaging him, begging him to stop and even a couple of the girls offered to take him to the spring formal and even give him a chance for a relationship if he would stop. One student who had been messaging him from the very start had quit watching a long time ago and decided to take action. After consuming a fourth pod, he fell onto the floor and shortly after, one student went rushing in to help him, Flash Sentry. He could tell that Sunburst's breathing was becoming erratic. He screamed, "No Sunburst, please no! Don't worry, I'll get you to the hospital." Flash got Sunburst into his car and sped off towards the hospital, bound and determined to save his life. When Flash got him to the hospital, he was on the verge of death. Flash rushed him into the ER but it would not be long after arriving that Sunburst would pass. This was especially hard on Flash Sentry despite him only having interacted with Sunburst a couple of times. As he began the drive home, he couldn't help but question himself, "What if I had drove faster, what if I could have got there sooner, what if I could have talked Starlight into at least going on a date with him?"
