"Excited to start the year?"asked Sunset Shimmer, "Okay, everyone tell what you're looking forward to- Rarity, starts" "Designing fabulous clothes" she said. "Baking as many cakes as I can" giggled Pinkie Pie. "Oh shucks, Ah'm just looking forward to having a good time" said Applejack. "Um, helping out again at the animal shelter" peeped Fluttershy. "I was going to do some extra coursework, and I'm looking forward to my 'get together' with Timber Spruce" blushed Twilight, as the girls gushed, except Rainbow Dash. "Well I'm going to start painting!" said Sunset, "Come on, let's go get to class" "Hey! What about me?" asked Rainbow Dash. But by then, everyone was gone, "They're always leaving me out these days" she huffed. She headed to Chemistry class, where they would be doing partner work. Rainbow's partner was- Soarin? Rainbow Dash groaned. Soarin was the most annoying person she knew, always saying he should be captain, instead of Dash. They couldn't sit together for one moment without fighting. "Well well well, if it isn't Rainbow Crash" said a voice behind her. It was Soarin. "Listen. I don't wanna do this, and neither to you. Let's just ignore each other, because I don't wanna get a bad grade," she said. "Fine, works for me, Crash" sneered Soarin. "Seriously? Are you deaf?" asked Rainbow. "Are you talking to me, or some other show-off?" Rainbow always called Soarin a show-off in front of everyone. "They're aren't any other show offs here" said Rainbow, as they stood behind the lab equipment. "Really? Then get a mirror" shot Soarin. Rainbow didn't want to admit it, by she just got burnt-very badly. The spent the next hour arguing back and forth, which they both enjoyed. The next day was the same routine, and it kept repeating. Insult after insult, they started treating it like a game. Rainbow Dash didn't want to say to anyone, but she was having a hard time. Between pressures at her me, and her friends ignoring her, she really needed to unwind, and Chemistry with Soarin did just that. But then one day came, when Rainbow Dash had enough of her friends. "So, are you guys participating in the baking contest?" asked Pinkie Pie. The girls all said yes in delightful manner. "What about you Dashie?" "What do you think?" Obviously, she would compete, she loved competing. "No?" said Pinkie Pie, "I didn't want to say, but you're not really one to do this kind of thing. You're-" "Over achieving" said Fluttershy. "And boastful" "And always show off" Ranbow Dash felt her fuse about to blow. These were her friends? That's the opinion they held about her? After all they did, by ignoring her, pushing her around, not inviting her to houses when everyone else was coming, this is how they repayed her? "OMG! AFTER ALL I DEALT WITH, THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT ME?" yelled Rainbow Dash. "What you put up with? We have to put up with you!" said Applejack. "I could be here till next year counting what you do to me! Am I your friend or just someone you keep around as a plus one? You always ignore me, leave me out, and this is what you think of me! That's it! I'll find real friends! Here we are for 'Elements of Harmony'! To hell with Harmomy" screamed Rainbow Dash. "You're walking out on us! Look at you! You enjoy more with weirdos like Soarin then us" said Rairty. "Soarin's better than all of you combined" Rainbow shouted, storming off, not believing she just said those words. She found a bench to sit on alone, and cried. Why was life so unfair? She heard someone sit down next to her. "Mind if I sit here?" It was Soarin, "Probably not the best time but I need advice" "Right now you should give it to me" said Rainbow Dash. "Not sure what that means but anyway- I have a crush on Applejack" "THEN WHY DON'T YOU GO TO HER THEN!" "Okay then. See ya Crash" sighed Soarin. Why did I scream? thought Rainbow Dash. I hate Soarin. Unless- "See that girls. We just found ourselves another client" said a voice with a thick country accent. "Hmm, seems like she needs our help" said a bubbly and high voice. "I know what this is. Rainbow Dash has a crush" said a tomboyish voice, which made Rainbow whirl around. "I do not!" she protested. "Every girl who likes a guy says that. And you my dear friend need the help of the CMC's" said Applebloom. "Doesn't that stand for Canterlot Movie Club?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Not anymore. We are the Cupid Made Crush-helpers!" cheered Sweetie Belle, "And you need to get hooked up with Soarin" "What! We hate each other!" Rainbow Dash said. "Anyway. He likes Applejack, so let's get rid of the competition" said Scootaloo, evilly. "I like the sound of that" Rainbow Dash said, forgetting the topic. "Hah! So you do like him!" said Scootaloo. "Fine. I have a crush on him. Maybe" Rainbow Dash admitted, sighing. "I don't mind. Since my sis is goin' steady with Caramel anyway, so Soarin doesn't have a chance" said Applebloom. "You need to keep up to date. They broke up weeks ago. She's single" said Sweetie Belle. "First of all, we should pin someone else for liking Soarin" said Applebloom "What do ya mean?" Rainbow said, "Dash, this is a big school. Someone may find out you like Soarin. So before they do, we need to blame someone else!" explained Applebloom,"Ya know, as a plan B" "But how will we spread that news?" Rainbow exclaimed, "Wait a second, why do you want to team up with me?" "Well, to be honest, being friends with an older student will make us popular" confessed Sweetie Belle, "But we look up to you Dash. By that night, it was all anyone could talk about. In the school newspaper, where the CMC's worked, they got headlines saying 'Rebel Girl falls for Popular Athlete' The next morning, Rainbow spotted her old friends looking at posters of 'Rebel Girl falls for Popular Athlete' "It's working! They know that I like him" said Rainbow at their lunch meeting. "Maybe we should stop girls. It's going too far" said Sweetie Belle. The others nodded. "Are you kidding? This is perfect!" exclaimed Dash, "Now what's step two?" The CMC's looked at each other uneasily, "Ah was thinkin' to get some dirt on everyone, we should make a rumour you like Soarin, that'll nudge him in the right direction" "But-" started Rainbow. "If we're gonna do this, it's the only way!" Applebloom said. Rainbow nodded. " Once again, the girls, except Rainbow a Dash spread the news. At Chemistry, Soarin was acting weird around her. "I heard something, about you" he said. "What?" Rainbow Dash asked, her heart skipping a beat. "Do you like-" Rainbow waited. "Zephyr?" Rainbow snapped out of her thoughts. "What! "Um, well, I was telling someone, and accidentally said Zephyr because I saw him, and I quickly said Soarin, but they didn't believe me. And Zephyr heard, and he likes you" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, "And he spread the world you like him" Rainbow Dash groaned, "Zephyr asked me out today!" "Then go out with him" said Sweetie Belle. "WHAT!" shrieked Rainbow Dash. “It’ll make Soarin realise he’s jealous” advised Scootaloo. “I’m seriously doubting you” said Rainbow. “Relax, we’ve got this” assured Sweetie Belle Rainbow got ready for her date, and heard a beep outside. She groaned, “Let’s get this over with” She got in the car, and they went to a fancy restuarant. “So, Zeph, what’s up?” “So glad you finally recognised we should hang out Rainbows. It’s about time” smirked Zephyr, as Rainbow rolled her eyes. The night continued, until it got super quiet. “Um, hope you enjoyed this” said Rainbow, excited to leave. “Hope you loved this as much as I did” said Zephyr, leaning on for a kiss. Rainbow awkwardly looked around. Zephyr opened his eyes. “Isn’t this what happens on dates?” He asked. “Um, well, the truth is-“ started Rainbow. As much as she despised Zephyr, she didn’t want to disappoint him, “I actually like Soarin. What you heard was a misunderstanding” “Oh, well, I knew you’d never like me Rainbows, but I appreciate you being honset with me” said Zephyr, sighing. “How bout we become- friends?” asked Rainbow Dash. “I like the sound of that” He was taken by surprise as Ranbow hugged him. “So... how did it go?” asked Applebloom mischievously. “Surprisingly-good!” She said. “We got phase three for Soarin falling for you- ask him out to the End Of Year Formal!” suggested Sweeite Belle. “What! No, I’m embarrassed” said Rainbow Dash. “What was that?” asked Scootaloo. “I said I’m embarrassed! I can’t ask him out!” cried Rainbow. “Come on, at least try?” urged Applebloom. “Fine” sighed Rainbow, as the CMC’s cheered. At Chemistry, Soarin and Rainbow Dash chatted for a while. “So, Crash, I know you didn’t wanna give advice, but I wanted to ask you something?” said Soarin. “Anything” replied Raijbow Dash. Soarin sighed, “I asked Applejack to the Formal, she said yes. What do I do?” Rainbow Dash felt her anger bubble up. Right now, you’re probably thinking, ‘Wow, she sure get’s made easily’ But she has a valid reason. But despite her anger, instead she felt hot tears cloud her sight. “Good job” she muttered, her googles fogging up with her tears. The rest of the lesson went in silence. Only a few weeks to the formal, and homework was piling up like anything. Rainbow Dash had a major assignment left to do for English class, and it was- write a story on two lovers. Ever since this year, Rainbow Dash started relaxing and unleashing her creativity by writing stories. She always felt at ease and calm, but she needed inspiration. She saw Twilight and Timber sitting with some other girls. To get inspiration, she needed to look no further. “Hi Twilight. Could you give me insight on your relationship Then one day, along with the CMC’s, Rainbow Dash overheard Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna talk about some things going around the school. Students being alone in rooms and then- you get the picture. Rainbow started feelings guilty. Everyone in English class knew that Twilight and Timber did the same thing. She thought Twilight was a friend. But now, regardless, this is just wrong. She meant, go do it somewhere else, because younger classes like the CMC’s were also around, and in a public room no-less. So that afternoon after school, Rainbow Dash went to go see Vice-Principal Luna. But little did she know that her honesty would backfire on her. Author's Note OOOOHHH! After this, my life gets really really unfair. It's the best chapter. But I wanted to take it slowly, not just ruin the suspense. So please be patient, I started school again, so I don't have that much time. Homework PressuresRainbow Dash's POV: I know Twilight is a 'teacher's pet', but it went way too far today. I kind of feel sick when I think about it. It all started when I had to submit my English homwork. We could chose our topic, it just had creative, a narrative. I wanted to do a romance story, and who better to do so then Twilight and Timber, 'T and T' as our whole school called them. You probably know they have something sessions at lunch every two days, and everyone knew it, even though it's strictly against school rules. I walked up to Twilight, back when we were friends, and I asked Twilight how she felt about Timber, and she blushed and looked away. But fortunetly, her friends from science club told me everything, as I wrote in my journal. Let me clear up one thing. Gossip is a drug. It's addictive and harms you. I have spread exactly 200 pieces of news or gossip. I'm famous for being a gossiper, I always have the scoop. And the whole grade knew my 'minions' as everyone said, were Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. They didn't mind, because they were becoming popular in their grade for being friends with a senior. Anyway, I questioned other guys and Timber, about how they felt about certain girls. And I couldn't resist the opportunity to ask the grade loser how he felt when he got rejected by Rarity. Now, that's nkt mean. People come to him and say worse stuff. So I was going easy on him. So I recorded all this news for my story, and began to write. My creative juices flowed amazingly, as I just wrote like I've ever written. But of course, things went south. Very south. My parents, somehow, got a copy of my homework, and realised what I was writing. They didn't aknowledge how good it was though. They got mad. Very mad. But parents forgive, but they banned my phone. What they don't realise, is that I'm not a five year old anymore. They expect boys and girls to skip around hand in hand, stupid but innocent. But that's not how life works. Eventually, relashionships become complicated. I was a gossip centre, and my parents had know idea. But then the day came. Today. I had told on Twilight for her over affair with Timber at school, right? I didn't realise how vindictive the girl was, until today. She went and told on me! For what? Writing down people's feelings in a diary. I laughed. Seriously? The teacher was going to just brush it off. It was obvious she was getting me back for telling on her. If it jad been left up to Principal Celestia, it would have been all sunshine and rainbows. But it wasn't. "Rainbow Dash. If I understand, you wrote down people's feelings in a diary?" asked Vice-Principal Luna, when I entered her room. "Yes madam" There was no point denying it. Who cares? My diary! "Can you please explain why you thought this was appropriate?" asked Luna. No point wasting time. I just told her I needed to write a report and used them. Simple! Just don't mention other gossip. "I don't think this is too serious. Perhaps you should bring in your journal" If I could go back in time, I'd stop my idiot self from saying-"Sure. Thank you" Later, I showed my diary, and Luna called out Twilight and the others involved. I swear Twilight had a tiny smirk on her face. Buck you girl! And I am crying writing this. That girl put on such a peformance, dabbing tears. She said,"I felt soo embarrassed" And everyone else in my class, turned there backs on me. Even girls who were my 'friends' They lied to get on Luna's good side. No one defended me. It hurt. A lot. My friends and classmates, turned and betrayed me, to just get on the teacher's good side. I acted cool, like none of this mattered to me. And then when Luna sent everyone inside, I cried. I cried like I've ever cried, sobbing hysterically. It wasn't that I was going to be kicked out. My parents, my friends, my respect. Everythibg went out the window as Luna yelled at me. I didn't mention it, I feel worse because I blamed the CMC's. For everything. I said, "They gossiped, not me" But it was all me. Watching their expression as I turned on them, I wanted to die. Everyone turned on me, and I was acting stupid. The CMC's said they helped, but it was me. Luna thanked them, and told them to go. This was before I cried. "I'm surprised you showed no emotion before. I would have long before" saud Luna, as I choked in my tears, "Go to the bathroom and wash up" I looked at my tear streaked face in the bathroom. I couldn't go back to class. I just couldn't. So I hid in the bathrooms. They cubicle next door was occupied for three minutes straight. "Which creep would it be" I thought. The door opened. It was my old friend, Crystal Shards. She was the only one who defended me a little, being my BFF, and partner in crime. I dropped my bag and hugged her tightly, crying into her shoulder. "Hey, where's the tough Dashie I know?" she asked playfully. "She's gone" I sobbed. "Oh well. This one is cute too" I laughed into my tears. The one girl who still cared was right here. "I can't go to class" I said, wiping my tears. "Come on Dash, you have to. But if you don't want to, it's okay" said Crystal. "Thanks Crystal. See ya later?" "I'll tell the class the truth. Twilight will pay for messing with my BFF" snarled Crystal. "Calm down. Whatever, ignore her" Usually I was the one who needed calming down. "If you say so Dash" Crystal said, leaving. I sat down. I needed to do something. The teachers would wonder where I was. So I just walked around school. The same old hallways, doors. I walked to one class in paricular. "Um, excuse me, could I please see Scootaloo, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle?" I asked a short curly green haired teacher. "Sure. Girls, someome needs to see you" called the teacher. Three familiar face came outside, and warmed my heart. "I'm so sorry girls. Can you ever forgive me? I was stupid and fool, any bad word, just please forgive me" I pleaded. They spent the afternoon choosing the perfect outfit, which turned out to be wonderful. And then they got ready for the formal, dressing up, with make up and accessories. Rainbow wore a navy foot-length dress, mermaid tail-style, with ruffle lace at the foot, hair in a elegant bun. Crystal wore an ocean green foot long gown with pink swirls and lace, and her wavy sea blue hair out of her regular ponytail. "Wow! You look awesome!" said Rainbow, admiring her friend. Rainbow sat with Crystal and some of her friends in her sporting teams. They ate the delicious dinner, taking selfies and photos at the booth. "Ready to hit the dance floor?" asked Crystal. "No!" said Rainbow Dash, shivering. It was a C.H.S tradition, for the graduating classes to go around in a circle and dance with every boy in the grade, and for the boys to dance with every girl. And Rainbow was not looking forward to dancing with Soarin after everything that happened. "Come on Dash. I know you treat Soarin like your mortal enemy, but you like him" gushed Crystal. Soarin stared at her, "I mean, she isn't good enough for you" Crystal made a squeaking noise. "You really think so?" as Soarin, giving his cute smile Rainbow died for. "I know so" said Rainbow, moving on to the next boy. Crystal was dancing with Soarin now. "Don't know what Dash sees in you!" said Crystal, as Soarin stepped on her. "What?" He can never make a move. I'll just avoid him tonight" "Maybe you two should talk, I mean, what if proposes?" Crystal said, batting her eyelashes. "This is all your fault! Please don't do anything stupid!" pleaded Rainbow. "Oh, you're no fun," said Crystal, "Oh look, here he comes!" Soarin was walking towards the girls. "Uh, Crash, can we talk? Alone?" asked Soarin. The rest of the night, Soarin tried to talk to Rainbow Dash, but she made an excuse or ran away. The night resumed, until it was time to go home. Rainbow didn't want to admit it, by she just got burnt-very badly. The spent the next hour arguing back and forth, which they both enjoyed. The next day was the same routine, and it kept repeating. Insult after insult, they started treating it like a game. Rainbow Dash didn't want to say to anyone, but she was having a hard time. Between pressures at her me, and her friends ignoring her, she really needed to unwind, and Chemistry with Soarin did just that. But then one day came, when Rainbow Dash had enough of her friends. "So, are you guys participating in the baking contest?" asked Pinkie Pie. The girls all said yes in delightful manner. "What about you Dashie?" "What do you think?" Obviously, she would compete, she loved competing. "No?" said Pinkie Pie, "I didn't want to say, but you're not really one to do this kind of thing. You're-" "Over achieving" said Fluttershy. "And boastful" "And always show off" Ranbow Dash felt her fuse about to blow. These were her friends? That's the opinion they held about her? After all they did, by ignoring her, pushing her around, not inviting her to houses when everyone else was coming, this is how they repayed her? "OMG! AFTER ALL I DEALT WITH, THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT ME?" yelled Rainbow Dash. "What you put up with? We have to put up with you!" said Applejack. "I could be here till next year counting what you do to me! Am I your friend or just someone you keep around as a plus one? You always ignore me, leave me out, and this is what you think of me! That's it! I'll find real friends! Here we are for 'Elements of Harmony'! To hell with Harmomy" screamed Rainbow Dash. "You're walking out on us! Look at you! You enjoy more with weirdos like Soarin then us" said Rairty. "Soarin's better than all of you combined" Rainbow shouted, storming off, not believing she just said those words. She found a bench to sit on alone, and cried. Why was life so unfair? She heard someone sit down next to her. "Mind if I sit here?" It was Soarin, "Probably not the best time but I need advice" "Right now you should give it to me" said Rainbow Dash. "Not sure what that means but anyway- I have a crush on Applejack" "THEN WHY DON'T YOU GO TO HER THEN!" "Okay then. See ya Crash" sighed Soarin. Why did I scream? thought Rainbow Dash. I hate Soarin. Unless- "See that girls. We just found ourselves another client" said a voice with a thick country accent. "Hmm, seems like she needs our help" said a bubbly and high voice. "I know what this is. Rainbow Dash has a crush" said a tomboyish voice, which made Rainbow whirl around. "I do not!" she protested. "Every girl who likes a guy says that. And you my dear friend need the help of the CMC's" said Applebloom. "Doesn't that stand for Canterlot Movie Club?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Not anymore. We are the Cupid Made Crush-helpers!" cheered Sweetie Belle, "And you need to get hooked up with Soarin" "What! We hate each other!" Rainbow Dash said. "Anyway. He likes Applejack, so let's get rid of the competition" said Scootaloo, evilly. "I like the sound of that" Rainbow Dash said, forgetting the topic. "Hah! So you do like him!" said Scootaloo. "Fine. I have a crush on him. Maybe" Rainbow Dash admitted, sighing. "I don't mind. Since my sis is goin' steady with Caramel anyway, so Soarin doesn't have a chance" said Applebloom. "You need to keep up to date. They broke up weeks ago. She's single" said Sweetie Belle. "First of all, we should pin someone else for liking Soarin" said Applebloom "What do ya mean?" Rainbow said, "Dash, this is a big school. Someone may find out you like Soarin. So before they do, we need to blame someone else!" explained Applebloom,"Ya know, as a plan B" "But how will we spread that news?" Rainbow exclaimed, "Wait a second, why do you want to team up with me?" "Well, to be honest, being friends with an older student will make us popular" confessed Sweetie Belle, "But we look up to you Dash. You're loyal, strong, tough- you may not realise, but you're a leader" Rainbow blushed, "Thanks, now back to the plan. How do we spread the news again?" Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo shared a look, "Gossip" Author's Note This is kind of what happened to me, like Rainbow, kind of. Talk of the Town"Gossip?" said Rainbow Dash. "Yup. No questions, we're going to start spreading the word ASAP" announced Scootaloo. "What word?" Rainbow said hesitantly, "Someone like Soarin” said Applebloom, "Let's spread out girls" "Wait, who are we going to target?" Rainbow asked. "Sunset Shimmer" said Sweetie. "But Soarin doesn't even know her. It'll make no sense" Rainbow said. "Wow Dash, you need to get out more. They are both in art class toghter as a team" Scootaloo reminded. "Sounds good to me, we should spread out" said Applebloom. That afternoon, the girls went up to everyone and causally mentioned that Sunset liked Soarin. By that night, it was all anyone could talk about. In the school newspaper, where the CMC's worked, they got headlines saying 'Rebel Girl falls for Popular Athlete' The next morning, Rainbow spotted her old friends looking at posters of 'Rebel Girl falls for Popular Athlete' "It's working! They know that I like him" said Rainbow at their lunch meeting. "Maybe we should stop girls. It's going too far" said Sweetie Belle. The others nodded. "Are you kidding? This is perfect!" exclaimed Dash, "Now what's step two?" The CMC's looked at each other uneasily, "Ah was thinkin' to get some dirt on everyone, we should make a rumour you like Soarin, that'll nudge him in the right direction" "But-" started Rainbow. "If we're gonna do this, it's the only way!" Applebloom said. Rainbow nodded. " Once again, the girls, except Rainbow a Dash spread the news. At Chemistry, Soarin was acting weird around her. "I heard something, about you" he said. "What?" Rainbow Dash asked, her heart skipping a beat. "Do you like-" Rainbow waited. "Zephyr?" Rainbow snapped out of her thoughts. "What! No way!" she protested. "Yeah, you totally do!" grinned Soarin. "I seriously don't" pleaded Rainbow. "Yeah, right" said Soarin, rolling his eyes. That afternoon, Rainbow drilled the CMC's for getting the wrong rumour around. "What did you do!" she said. "Um, well, I was telling someone, and accidentally said Zephyr because I saw him, and I quickly said Soarin, but they didn't believe me. And Zephyr heard, and he likes you" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, "And he spread the world you like him" Rainbow Dash groaned, "Zephyr asked me out today!" "Then go out with him" said Sweetie Belle. "WHAT!" shrieked Rainbow Dash. “It’ll make Soarin realise he’s jealous” advised Scootaloo. “I’m seriously doubting you” said Rainbow. “Relax, we’ve got this” assured Sweetie Belle Rainbow got ready for her date, and heard a beep outside. She groaned, “Let’s get this over with” She got in the car, and they went to a fancy restuarant. “So, Zeph, what’s up?” “So glad you finally recognised we should hang out Rainbows. It’s about time” smirked Zephyr, as Rainbow rolled her eyes. The night continued, until it got super quiet. “Um, hope you enjoyed this” said Rainbow, excited to leave. “Hope you loved this as much as I did” said Zephyr, leaning on for a kiss. Rainbow awkwardly looked around. Zephyr opened his eyes. “Isn’t this what happens on dates?” He asked. “Um, well, the truth is-“ started Rainbow. As much as she despised Zephyr, she didn’t want to disappoint him, “I actually like Soarin. What you heard was a misunderstanding” “Oh, well, I knew you’d never like me Rainbows, but I appreciate you being honset with me” said Zephyr, sighing. “How bout we become- friends?” asked Rainbow Dash. “I like the sound of that” He was taken by surprise as Ranbow hugged him. “So... how did it go?” asked Applebloom mischievously. “Surprisingly-good!” She said. “We got phase three for Soarin falling for you- ask him out to the End Of Year Formal!” suggested Sweeite Belle. “What! No, I’m embarrassed” said Rainbow Dash. “What was that?” asked Scootaloo. “I said I’m embarrassed! I can’t ask him out!” cried Rainbow. “Come on, at least try?” urged Applebloom. “Fine” sighed Rainbow, as the CMC’s cheered. At Chemistry, Soarin and Rainbow Dash chatted for a while. “So, Crash, I know you didn’t wanna give advice, but I wanted to ask you something?” said Soarin. “Anything” replied Raijbow Dash. Soarin sighed, “I asked Applejack to the Formal, she said yes. What do I do?” Rainbow Dash felt her anger bubble up. Right now, you’re probably thinking, ‘Wow, she sure get’s made easily’ But she has a valid reason. But despite her anger, instead she felt hot tears cloud her sight. “Good job” she muttered, her googles fogging up with her tears. The rest of the lesson went in silence. Only a few weeks to the formal, and homework was piling up like anything. Rainbow Dash had a major assignment left to do for English class, and it was- write a story on two lovers. Ever since this year, Rainbow Dash started relaxing and unleashing her creativity by writing stories. She always felt at ease and calm, but she needed inspiration. She saw Twilight and Timber sitting with some other girls. To get inspiration, she needed to look no further. “Hi Twilight. Could you give me insight on your relationship Then one day, along with the CMC’s, Rainbow Dash overheard Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna talk about some things going around the school. Students being alone in rooms and then- you get the picture. Rainbow started feelings guilty. Everyone in English class knew that Twilight and Timber did the same thing. She thought Twilight was a friend. But now, regardless, this is just wrong. She meant, go do it somewhere else, because younger classes like the CMC’s were also around, and in a public room no-less. So that afternoon after school, Rainbow Dash went to go see Vice-Principal Luna. But little did she know that her honesty would backfire on her. Author's Note OOOOHHH! After this, my life gets really really unfair. It's the best chapter. But I wanted to take it slowly, not just ruin the suspense. So please be patient, I started school again, so I don't have that much time.
Homework PressuresRainbow Dash's POV: I know Twilight is a 'teacher's pet', but it went way too far today. I kind of feel sick when I think about it. It all started when I had to submit my English homwork. We could chose our topic, it just had creative, a narrative. I wanted to do a romance story, and who better to do so then Twilight and Timber, 'T and T' as our whole school called them. You probably know they have something sessions at lunch every two days, and everyone knew it, even though it's strictly against school rules. I walked up to Twilight, back when we were friends, and I asked Twilight how she felt about Timber, and she blushed and looked away. But fortunetly, her friends from science club told me everything, as I wrote in my journal. Let me clear up one thing. Gossip is a drug. It's addictive and harms you. I have spread exactly 200 pieces of news or gossip. I'm famous for being a gossiper, I always have the scoop. And the whole grade knew my 'minions' as everyone said, were Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. They didn't mind, because they were becoming popular in their grade for being friends with a senior. Anyway, I questioned other guys and Timber, about how they felt about certain girls. And I couldn't resist the opportunity to ask the grade loser how he felt when he got rejected by Rarity. Now, that's nkt mean. People come to him and say worse stuff. So I was going easy on him. So I recorded all this news for my story, and began to write. My creative juices flowed amazingly, as I just wrote like I've ever written. But of course, things went south. Very south. My parents, somehow, got a copy of my homework, and realised what I was writing. They didn't aknowledge how good it was though. They got mad. Very mad. But parents forgive, but they banned my phone. What they don't realise, is that I'm not a five year old anymore. They expect boys and girls to skip around hand in hand, stupid but innocent. But that's not how life works. Eventually, relashionships become complicated. I was a gossip centre, and my parents had know idea. But then the day came. Today. I had told on Twilight for her over affair with Timber at school, right? I didn't realise how vindictive the girl was, until today. She went and told on me! For what? Writing down people's feelings in a diary. I laughed. Seriously? The teacher was going to just brush it off. It was obvious she was getting me back for telling on her. If it jad been left up to Principal Celestia, it would have been all sunshine and rainbows. But it wasn't. "Rainbow Dash. If I understand, you wrote down people's feelings in a diary?" asked Vice-Principal Luna, when I entered her room. "Yes madam" There was no point denying it. Who cares? My diary! "Can you please explain why you thought this was appropriate?" asked Luna. No point wasting time. I just told her I needed to write a report and used them. Simple! Just don't mention other gossip. "I don't think this is too serious. Perhaps you should bring in your journal" If I could go back in time, I'd stop my idiot self from saying-"Sure. Thank you" Later, I showed my diary, and Luna called out Twilight and the others involved. I swear Twilight had a tiny smirk on her face. Buck you girl! And I am crying writing this. That girl put on such a peformance, dabbing tears. She said,"I felt soo embarrassed" And everyone else in my class, turned there backs on me. Even girls who were my 'friends' They lied to get on Luna's good side. No one defended me. It hurt. A lot. My friends and classmates, turned and betrayed me, to just get on the teacher's good side. I acted cool, like none of this mattered to me. And then when Luna sent everyone inside, I cried. I cried like I've ever cried, sobbing hysterically. It wasn't that I was going to be kicked out. My parents, my friends, my respect. Everythibg went out the window as Luna yelled at me. I didn't mention it, I feel worse because I blamed the CMC's. For everything. I said, "They gossiped, not me" But it was all me. Watching their expression as I turned on them, I wanted to die. Everyone turned on me, and I was acting stupid. The CMC's said they helped, but it was me. Luna thanked them, and told them to go. This was before I cried. "I'm surprised you showed no emotion before. I would have long before" saud Luna, as I choked in my tears, "Go to the bathroom and wash up" I looked at my tear streaked face in the bathroom. I couldn't go back to class. I just couldn't. So I hid in the bathrooms. They cubicle next door was occupied for three minutes straight. "Which creep would it be" I thought. The door opened. It was my old friend, Crystal Shards. She was the only one who defended me a little, being my BFF, and partner in crime. I dropped my bag and hugged her tightly, crying into her shoulder. "Hey, where's the tough Dashie I know?" she asked playfully. "She's gone" I sobbed. "Oh well. This one is cute too" I laughed into my tears. The one girl who still cared was right here. "I can't go to class" I said, wiping my tears. "Come on Dash, you have to. But if you don't want to, it's okay" said Crystal. "Thanks Crystal. See ya later?" "I'll tell the class the truth. Twilight will pay for messing with my BFF" snarled Crystal. "Calm down. Whatever, ignore her" Usually I was the one who needed calming down. "If you say so Dash" Crystal said, leaving. I sat down. I needed to do something. The teachers would wonder where I was. So I just walked around school. The same old hallways, doors. I walked to one class in paricular. "Um, excuse me, could I please see Scootaloo, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle?" I asked a short curly green haired teacher. "Sure. Girls, someome needs to see you" called the teacher. Three familiar face came outside, and warmed my heart. "I'm so sorry girls. Can you ever forgive me? I was stupid and fool, any bad word, just please forgive me" I pleaded. The CMC's looked at each other, and burst out laughing "Of course. It nay have hurt a little, but we deserved it" said Applebloom "I didn't expect you to apologise Dash. You're not that type" giggled Sweetie Belle. "Don't you dare. You'll ruin my rep" I said coolly, as the gurls chuckled. "But we need to chat with someone first" said Scootaloo Author's Note This was the hardest chapter. You may think, "Such a baby" But seriously, I feels heart wrenching. Better AloneThis was the big night of the formal, and everyone was getting their dresses ready. "I don't know Crystal. After everything, I'm not sure I can go to the formal" said Rainbow Dash, as Crystal sat down onto the sofa in Rainbow's room. "You should Dash. I'll go with you" said Crysal, putting her bag down. "To be honest, I'm too embarrassed to show my face, after crying in public" said Rainbow Dash. "Come on. It'll be fun!" pleaded Crystal. "Fine" sighed Rainbow. They spent the afternoon choosing the perfect outfit, which turned out to be wonderful. And then they got ready for the formal, dressing up, with make up and accessories. Rainbow wore a navy foot-length dress, mermaid tail-style, with ruffle lace at the foot, hair in a elegant bun. Crystal wore an ocean green foot long gown with pink swirls and lace, and her wavy sea blue hair out of her regular ponytail. "Wow! You look awesome!" said Rainbow, admiring her friend. "You don't look to bad yourself" said Crystal, extending her arm,"Shall we?" "We shall" replied Dash with a smile The night went perfectly. Rainbow sat with Crystal and some of her friends in her sporting teams. They ate the delicious dinner, taking selfies and photos at the booth. "Ready to hit the dance floor?" asked Crystal. "No!" said Rainbow Dash, shivering. It was a C.H.S tradition, for the graduating classes to go around in a circle and dance with every boy in the grade, and for the boys to dance with every girl. And Rainbow was not looking forward to dancing with Soarin after everything that happened. "Come on Dash. I know you treat Soarin like your mortal enemy, but you like him" gushed Crystal. Rainbow hadn't told anyone except the CMC's. "I do not!" protested Rainbow, blushing. "OMG! You totally do!" giggled Crystal, "You can tell me!" "Fine" grumbled Rainbow, "But I don't want to look uncool in front of him" "Come on Rainbow. Every girl wants to be you" said Crystal. "Really?" asked Rainbow Dash, her face brightening. "Like a week ago, before the incident, no everyone laughs" said Crystal. "Oh thanks for making me feel sooo much better" said Rainbow sarcastically. "That's what I'm here for sister" replied Crystal, not picking up the sarcasm, "Come on let's dance" Rainbow Dash groaned as she dragged her to the dance floor. They danced the night away, giggling and chatting. But then the moment came. Of the partner dancing. "Everyone line up" called Principal Celestia. The boys and girls got into a circle formation. "Here we go" groaned Rainbow Dash, as the music started. Everyone aced around, and Rainbow was getting anxious by every second. Soarin was the next boy she had to dance with. "Here he comes" said Crystal, as Rainbow Dash growled. "Hey Crash" said Soarin, as Crystal screamed excitedly, "Uh, what's wrong with your friend?" "She's gone mad" said Rainbow Dash, glaring at Crystal. "Anyhow, I wanted to tell you. AJ rejected me" said Soarin, accidentally stepping on Rainbow's foot, "Sorry, not a good dancer" "Great!" said Rainbow Dash. Soarin stared at her, "I mean, she isn't good enough for you" Crystal made a squeaking noise. "You really think so?" as Soarin, giving his cute smile Rainbow died for. "I know so" said Rainbow, moving on to the next boy. Crystal was dancing with Soarin now. "Don't know what Dash sees in you!" said Crystal, as Soarin stepped on her. "What?" Crystal giggled nervously, "Let me tell you a secret- Rainbow has a HUGE crush on you" "WHAT!" shrieked Soarin. Rainbow stared at them, hearing the shriek, "Seriously?" Crystal nodded, "That's why she gossiped. To eliminate competition" She moved to the next partner, leaving Soarin dazed. "I'm feeling really guilty" said Crystal, after the dancing finished, sitting down on the bench. "Why?" Crystal chuckled. "I, um, told someone something" "Crystal, what did you do?" asked Rainbow, afraid to ask. "I told someone's crush that someone liked them" she said solemnly. "WHAT!" screamed Rainbow, so loudly birds flew out of trees. She sighed, "Was the crush's name, Soarin?" Crystal nodded sheepishly. Rainbow panted for breath, "Are you insane!" "Well, I accidentally said, 'I don't know what Dash sees in you' And then he kind of understood, and I told him" "I'm doomed!" wailed Rainbow Dash, "Oh, wait, today is the last day of school. He can never make a move. I'll just avoid him tonight" "Maybe you two should talk, I mean, what if proposes?" Crystal said, batting her eyelashes. "This is all your fault! Please don't do anything stupid!" pleaded Rainbow. "Oh, you're no fun," said Crystal, "Oh look, here he comes!" Soarin was walking towards the girls. "Uh, Crash, can we talk? Alone?" asked Soarin. "Um, sorry, got to go to the bathroom" said Rainbow, running off. "I told you nothing" said Crystal, following her friend, as Soarin rolled his eyes. The rest of the night, Soarin tried to talk to Rainbow Dash, but she made an excuse or ran away. The night resumed, until it was time to go home. Rainbow felt bad for avoiding Soarin, but she couldn't face him. "So, last day at C.H.S" said Crystal, resting her head on Rainbow's shoulder. "Yeah. I'll miss you" sighed Rainbow, "I couldn't have survived without you" "No matter what, we'll always we BFF's. And nothing and no one can change that" Rainbow felt tears in her eyes. "Darn it! Now you've got me acting all sappy" "Aw, come here you!" said Crystal, hugging Rainbow Dash,"I just thought of something" "What?" "Partners in Crime, PIC!" laughed Crystal. "Hey, I gotta go do something Crystal, stay here" said Rainbow, touching her geode and zooming off. "Hello? Are Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo here?" asked Rainbow Dash, knocking at the front door of the barn at Sweet Apple Acres. "Rainbow Dash? Isn't it the formal tonight? Anyhow, the girls are here tonight" answered Granny Smith, calling the girls. The CMC's came downstairs, and stared at Rainbow Dash, "Isn't it the formal tonight?" asked Sweetie Belle. "How could I leave without saying goodbye?" said Rainbow Dash, tearing up, hugging the girls. "We'll miss you Dash, our favorite client" said Applebloom. They bid each other goodnight, and goodbye.
