//-------------------------------------------------------// Brain Dead -by Undead Equestrian Writer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Pie //-------------------------------------------------------// Pie "Do you want some pie, Scissor?" my little sister, Paper Cut, asked as she took a bite of the gooey pie. I shook my head as I pulled a sandwich out of my saddlebag. "Why do you not want a pie, and rather have a cheese and syrup sandwich?" "Cause that pie will kill you some day," I told her, she looked at me with a look of disgust as I devoured my sandwich. "How has that not killed you yet?" She asked about my sandwich, which the syrup of said sandwich was dripping down my chin. She giggled as I tried to lick it off my chin, which I ended up getting. "What should we do, we have 12 hours before we have to go back home, and I want to do everything before the fair closes, cause we can't do this for another 1000 years, cause we will all have died by then." "Wow, sadistic much, let's go listen to the mayor's speech," I told her as she hoped on my back. We walked over to the stage where I heard Mayor Mare in a debate with an older pony about how the water was polluted and had chemicals in it. He was escorted off fair grounds by the fair grounds security. "What a nut case." "Sorry, ponies, he must have just forgotten to take his medicine this morning, poor thing," Mayor Mare spoken into her microphone. "Any questions from some reasonable ponyfolk?" "Um, yes, Ms. Mare, when are you building the new quills and sofa's shop, the last one burnt down and I need a new sofa," a pony in the crowd asked. "We are getting the plans for a new designed right now, so by the time the fair is over we will have a new quills and sofa's shop," the mayor responded. Before she could continue, a pony in the crowd collapsed and started convulsing. A scream errupted from that direction. "Oh, can we get some medics over here quickly, I think this pony is having a heart attack, does anypony know CPR here?" "Can we leave, Scissor, this is scaring me," my sister asked as she baried her face into the back of my neck. I turned around to leave, passing by rushing medics. "I'm hungry, do you have my sandwich?" "Yeah, I'll give it to at the pie eating contest," she nodded. We walked through the crowd of ponies, some hovering, some looking at pamphlets. I spotted a few famous ponies in the crowd, like Hoity Toity and Photo Finish. I heard her barking orders with her thick accent. "Scissor, can we go over there real quick and get the Main Six to sign my hat?" I shook my head and sighed in defeat, she loved them. They were her role models and she would do anything to meet them. I changed course and headed for the six ponies in a booth in the 100 degree plus heat. "You are the best big brother ever!" "Yeah yeah, you tell me that all the time," I responded, while my head filled with every possible thing that could go wrong in this interaction. I immediately noticed what was wrong and started to panic. I walked quicker over to the booth as my sister hopped off me and ran over to the Mane Six. I dug around in my saddlebag looking for my medicine. Not watching where I was going I slammed my head into the booth table, pushing it back an inch. I fell onto my haunches spilling its contents. I watched the pill bottle roll across the ground. I scrambled for the bottle. I grabbed it and popped the top of and poured three pills into my hand, and looked for my water bottle. Once I found it, I downed the pills and felt my heart rate start decreasing. "Are you thick in the head, what's your problem," I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around saw a pissed Rainbow Dash. She looked like she wanted to fight me. "You druggie, you slammed into our bouth and completely destroyed it!" "Rainbow, stop, he didn't mean to destroy it, are you okay," Twilight asked me. My breathing was still higher than I'd like it to be. "Hello?" "My brother has a severe cause of PTSD, and he nearly just had a nervous breakdown, are you okay," my sister ran to my side and rubbed my back. "It's okay, you're okay take deep breathes, and exhale slowly." "I'm fine, just a bit shaky, I'm genuinely sorry about your booth, I'm just going to grab my stuff and I'll leave." Rainbow had already flown back and started fixing the booth. Her body language showed she would like to rip my head off. I walked over and started collecting my things, while avoiding any eye contact with anypony except my sister, who counted with me to 60. "I'm sorry again." "Whatever, just leave," Rainbow told me. I lowered my head, and trudged off. "Did you get your autograph?" She nodded and placed her hat apon my head. I smiled slightly and continued on towards the pie eating contest. "What is your problem, Rainbow," Twilight scolded her. She shook her head at her, after signing another autograph. For a big town, very few have wanted an autograph. She froze some of the air next to her forming ice cubes. She placed on her sweaty brow. "What's my problem, what's your problem you just let a drug abuser run off," Rainboe said as she laid on a makeshift bed. "He also destroyed our booth, and I had to rebuild." "He wasn't a drug abuser, he had medical condition he has to take medicine for," Twilight told her. "He aldo didn't destroy the booth, just pushed the table back some." "I didn't see him having some sort of disease, how do you know he had a disease?" Rainbow asked. "He had PTSD, a mental disorder, you can't see any real physical effects without looking for awhile," Twilight informed her friend. "Had he not taken his medicine he would have broken down and who knows what would have happened." "Whatever, where is Fluttershy and Rarity?" "Fluttershy went with Rarity to help her sell some of her clothes while Ponyville is packed," Twilight mumbled while signing another hat. "Hello, I'm a huge fan of you and everything you've down for Equestria, Princess Sparkle," a male pony congratulated as he laid a shirt on the table. His fur was matted down so thickly, it looked lime he had scales instead of fur, and his breathing was so heavy and raspy he sounded like he just inhaled some sawdust. His pupils slowly shrunk as he collapsed, he started convulsing on the table until he had slid off and landed on the ground. "Sir, are you okay," Twilight asked as she went around the table. She grabbed a bucket of water and poured a little bit of water on his face. He didn't stop convulsing, and started vomiting up a thin lunch of apple based food items. "Medic, we need a medic!" "Is he okay," Rainbow asked Twilight. Twilight shook her head. Twilight watched over the pony until the medics showed up. "Medic, do you know what's wrong with him?" Twilight asked the medic. The medic shook her head and looked at her partener, who also shook his head. "Alright get him to help." "You good Twilight," Rainbow asked. Twilight looked at the pile of throw up and sighed as she poofed out of exsistance. A worm was wringling on the ground, trying to escape the heat in the vile, that was now gone. "You want me tk take over for a little while?" "Please do Rainbow, I'm going to take a quick nap." "Looks like we managed to catch the pie eating contest," I told my sister who giggled in glee as we found an open seat. I sat down and handed her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, she quickly ate it and handed me the plastic wrap. "You good?" "Yeah, I'm good," a few ponies were sitting in front of a setting of apple pie and the mayor, just getting done with her speech, made her way up. "Hello Ponyville-ians, I am proud to comence the poe eating contest, I hope our contestants enjoy the pies made for them and I hope all of you enjoy watching them eat," the mayor announced. A few cheers were shared and chatter silenced. "With nothing else to say, I think we should start this pie eating contest!" The ponies started devouring the pies with verocity and speed. I watched them devour the pies with a sense of anxiousness, and to release this left over tension, I began tapping my hoof against the ground. The first pie eater lost when he threw up into a trash can, followed by the second and third, the second was lucky enough to hit the trash can, but the third vomited into the pie tin. The vomit had a slight red tinge to it. "That's gross," my sister told me while grabbing one of my legs. I pulled her close, while we watched the pie eaters lose one by one. Almost all of them lost on their second pie, but the winner lost on his third before collapsing in his chair. "Is he okay?" "He's fine, sweetie, he just had to much to eat," I told her. The mayor called in a medic team when the contestant collapsed. The medics came in quick and were about to drag him off, when somepony else in the crowd collapsed. "Okay, I think it's time we leave." "Yeah, I want to go home, I'm tired," she said, as she sprawled herself across my back, popping her back. "I thought you wanted to do everything?" I asked, but she was already asleep when I asked. I walked away from the pie eating contest. I was walking down the rows and rows of boothes, until I stopped when I heard Rainbow's voice. I looked in the direction of her voice and saw her calling me over to her booth. I hesitantly walked over to the booth. "Look, I'm sorry for what I said to you," she apologized to me. I flinched as I thought she was going to insult me again. "That wasn't like me and I wanted to apologize for how I treated you." "It's okay, I'm sorry for destroying your booth," I apologized. "You didn't destroyed, just rearanged the desk." "I'd love to talk, but I have got to get my sister home," I told her while gesturing towards my sister. "It was nice meeting you." "Same," she told me as I walked away from her. My trip home was uninterupted, except by the occasional fainter and heat stroke. Once home I put my sister in her bed and walked to my room where I looked the door and fell asleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Worms //-------------------------------------------------------// Worms "Hurry up, Scissor, we need to get going before the pie throwing constest," Paper asked me, as I stood up and followed her out the house. "You can't be lying around all day." "Fine, let's go, but don't blame me if I'm pass out," I told her, she giggled slightly as I fell on my side, pretending to be asleep. I hopped up and walked with her down the street towards the festival. The festival was a little quieter than yesterday, but it wasn't any less crowded. "What's going on?" "One of the pegasi from Cloudsdale fell from the sky," a pony answered me. I thanked them, and tried to find a better spot to stand and look around. I saw a few doctors standing around the pegasi, who was on the ground blood running from his eyes. I shielded my sisters eyes, but I couldn't pull my gaze away from it. I tried to notice anything strange, but all I saw were bloody patches under their fur. "Come on, let's go," I told Paper. She practically lead the way through crowd trying to find were she wanted to go next. "Where are we even going?" "We're going to find something, I don't know yet I haven't gotten to that part yet," I shook my head as I followed my sister. She acted like she knew what she was doing, but she actually had no clue what she was doing. "What if we went and met the owner of Sweet Apple Acres?" "Why are you asking me, you're gonna go anyway," she nodded to me as we kept walking towards Sweet Apple Acres. We rounded the corner of the giant festoval, and saw the miles long apple orchard. Ponies were lined up, going up and down, the orchard, some testing the apple sweetness, some shooting apples with arrows, some were drinking apple cider, and the rest were sitting in front of Granny Smith learning the entire history of Ponyville. "Now help me find Applejack, and don't go crazy again," she told me as we looked over the apple orchard. "Now you know I can't control when I start having panic attacks," I told her. She turned around and hugged me. "I know, just pulling on your chains," she told me. I rubbed her head, but she pulled away. She ran around a little, looking everywhere for any members of the Apple family. She had been friends with Apple Bloom for a while now. She met her in school, and they became friends quickly. I've met Apple Bloom once or twice, but I've never met any of the rest of the Apple family, besides buying apples from them. "Paper, wait for me," I called out to her as she rounded a corner out of my sight. I broke into a slight gallop to keep up with her. I rounded the same corner she did and found her talking with Apple Bloom and her other friends. "Oh, hey Apple Bloom!" "Hey, Scissor, Paper was just telling me what you two were doing, and my sister ain't here right now, she's with everypony else making a giant cake for the the entire town," Apple Bloom told me. "They should be back later, so you can stay here if you want." "Thanks, I'm just going to rest my eyes for a little, Paper don't run off to far," I told Paper. I leaned against the side of the barn and closed my eyes. "Wake me up when Applejack show's up." "Doctor, the body is ready for autopsy," the nurse told the doctor. The doctor was inspecting the bloody wounds under the pegasus's fur. "Wounds seems to originate from a disease of some sort, maybe a flesh eating virus," the doctor whispered under his breath. He mumbled a few other things about blood levels and sources of infection. The nurse finished her paper work, and left the doctor to finish the rest of the autopsy. Out of the doctor's vision, the pegasus's face moved slightly, as something under the skin forced it's way out. The skin ripped open, revealing a small worm, soaked in blood. It crawled along the pegasus, making it's way to it's next host. "Seems like he died from the fall, maybe due to internal bleeding." The worm crawled slowly up the doctor's lab coat, up towards his face. The worm slithered up the side of the doctor's face. The doctor swatted at his face, missing the worm. The worm reached his eye, and dug in the side of the doctor's eye. The doctor screamed as the worm burrowed into the doctor, until the doctor ran over to the sink, digging into his eye with a scalpel. He stabbed his eye until he managed to spear the worm. He threw the scalpel to the side, as he bandaged his eye. "Doctor, are you okay," the nurse asked as she ran back into the morgue. He looked at her from the sink, and he screamed in pain as he felt something under his skin move and shift. He glanced back at the dead worm on the end of the scalpel, confused as to why he was still feeling it move. He grabbed another scalpel and started removing pieces of his flesh, each piece revealing a small worm, the size of a pencil tip. All of them were eating away at his flesh, some were laying eggs in his skin. He felt the worms escape onto his fur and dig back into his skin. The sensation was burning. "Leave, now!" He yelled at the nurse, who closed the morgue room doors, watching from the windows on the doors the scene inside. The doctor's skin was crawling with the little bugs. He finally collapsed as millions of worms burst from his body. The nurse screamed at the sight and ran back to the main area of the hospital.
