Author's Note
(This is something I had on my google docs for a long time. I will continue only if you want more. I think of it a little cringy, but i will spice it up in later chapters if wanted.)
Prologue
(3rd person)
It was a nice day out in the city of Fort Worth, Texas. The sky was clear with no clouds in sight, with just the occasional plane. In Fort Worth there is a small little mobile home park. Living in one of said mobile homes is our Protagonist Jake, who is 16 years old, White, and 5’10 boy with dirty blond hair and a pair of glasses that cover his hazel eyes.
(Jakes POV)
“Jake! Get off the computer and take the dogs out.” I hear my mom say. Today is Saturday which is a relief since I can have the weekend to write a chapter of my fanfiction. You see I am a huge fan of…some things and I love writing my own stories.
I get up and get the 2 dogs Bow and Brandy on the leash and open the door to the calm warm Texas summer air. It is June 7th of 2017, so it gets really hot out. Our home is at the very side of the park and instead of a fence behind our house we have a big open field. The field isn’t perfect though with it being full of grass and plants I don’t know, so I won’t go farther with that. Basically it needs a good mowing. The field is surrounded by a tree line that isn’t that big, because if you walk about 50 feet or so you will go to the other side where there are buildings.
I walked down the porch with the dogs and went around the house, so they didn’t take a crap in the front yard since my parents go straight through the lawn. Even though it would be funny as crap to see my parents walk in dog crap I don’t want to get in trouble. Me and the dogs go around the house and head into the field where they normally do their business. As they were doing their business I saw something glint into my eyes. I was going to just ignore it because a lot of people dump in the field, but I saw that both Bow and brandy yank at me away from the object. Which is strange, because when I looked at them they seem to be scared.
“What are you two afraid of? The house is that way.” I was very confused at what was scaring them, so I was about to pull them again only to be blinded again by the object. What really got me going was the fact that Bow and Brandy were staring right at it horrified. I pieced it together and I knew what they were scared of. I dragged Bow and Brandy over to the object, so I can see the object and find out what it is.
“OH come on Fatties. Let’s see what you two are so freaked out about.” As soon as I said that the Collars both came off and Bow and Brandy bulleted right into the tree line. ‘What the hell is their problem?’ I mumbled and then remembered what I was trying to do. I walked over to the thing that was the reason for this whole mess and went to pick it up, but I paused at what I was seeing. What I saw was a pure white stone in the shape of a crescent moon.
“Wait, why were the dogs so freaked out about this?” I was extremely confused at that since it looked like an ordinary rock only is in the shape of the crescent moon and white, but other than that it is just the ordinary rock. I pick it up and put in my pocket for later, then head off into the tree line to get Bow and Brandy. I found them not even 10 steps into the tree line. I put them onto the leashes again and we head back into the house.
“What took so long? Did anything wrong that happen?” My mother ran up to me with a worried look on her face.
“Yah I am fine, Bow and Brandy got off the leash.” I said which she accepted and went back to the couch and watching the TV. I take the dogs of the leash and went to my room and set the stone on the side table. I watched some youtube until my parents went to bed.
‘Wait what’s the moon looking like today?’ I went out to see what the moon is like today to find that it was a full moon. ’Ok I shall keep my promise.’ I know it may be childish, but when it is a full moon I pray to Luna. Yes, I am a brony and proud of it. I went to my room and when I do I see the stone glowing faintly. I usually just sit in front of the window and pray without anything, but I feel like holding that stone since it is in the shape of a moon, so I grabbed the stone and held it in between my hands and got on my knees.
The moon was right in front of my window covering me in its silver moonlight. I closed my eyes and whispered. “Dear luna, I hope that your night is going well and I wish you well. I hope you well and that there is nothing wrong. I will keep fulfilling my duty of praying to you in hopes of a response. Sincerely, Jay.” I finished the praying and open my eyes to the stone glowing very brightly. I drop the stone out of surprise and backed up. It kept getting brighter and brighter until I had to close my eyes. Until the light just vanished, but was replaced with a voice.
“Greetings Jake.” I hear an oddly familiar voice. I open my eyes to see a pure black pony with wings and a horn! The mane looked like the sky and flowed in non-existent wind. Finally, the eyes, oh the eyes were amazing it was the eyes of a cat and they were turquois in color. I was looking at Nightmare moon herself.
“greetings Jay.” I was astounded that I was in the presence of the nightmare moon. I always liked nightmare moon I don’t know why; she was just my favorite of all villains. I bowed down. I hear her giggle.
“please rise Jake we have some things to discuss.” I was confused by that.
“what do you mean?”
“You are the winner of a little raffle that was put together. You see we discovered your planet and species about a week ago and we wanted to give you humans a little peace offering if you will. Everypony put a piece of paper with names of a human of choice and it so happened to be yours.” She explained. I still had two questions about this, so I spoke up.
“Ok I have two questions about this.”
“Ask away.”
“firstly, what is this peace offering? Secondly, why are you here? No offence, it’s just I didn’t think you were still alive after the elements of harmony purged you from Luna” I see her smile a little mischievously.
“I will be answering the Second question first. I wasn’t destroyed I was just sent to the moon without a physical body. When you were pulled Celestia learned about you and what you are interested in and found out you like the darker side of your races view of equestria. She then thought of how we could make a gift to you. She found out how and sent me here to give you this gift. To answer your first question the gift is love.” She explained with a smile Pinkie Pie would be proud of.
“Love what do you mean?” I was clueless, but at the same time excited, because I never had anyone that I could love other than my parents.
“Let me explain farther, you will have 7 weeks with 7 ponies from the stories that you call…creepypastas was it?” I nodded “well at the end of the 7 weeks you will choose who will be with you all your life. Also don’t worry about anyone in this world noticing the ponies that come here; they will be invisible and can’t be touched by anyone other than you. Also they will not harm you I will make them to where you cannot be harmed by them.” Well that clears that up, I don’t want to go around talking to a talking pony. Said pony would probably go to be tested.
“So I can choose what 7 ponies I will meet and possibly love?” I asked wanting to know if I heard correct.
“You are correct. So what are the creepypasta ponies you shall prefer?” She asked looking quite amused. I start to think of all MLP creepypastas I know and I found out who I want.
“Ok I want to meet: Lil Miss Rarity, Rainbow factory dash, Pinkamena from cupcakes, Rainbine, Derpygun, Fluttershout, and finally… How about you surprise me for the last one?” I always wanted to see the ponies, but for some reason I loved the creepypasta ponies. I don’t know if the elements of insanity counts as creepypasta, but from the looks of nightmare moon it did count.
“I guess I can pick a random one for you, but Is this your final choice?” I was nervous of course, then again who wouldn’t be at something like this. I mean if someone came up to you and said you will find your love from the creepypastas that you read a lot. You would probably be in the same position. Yes I do know that they are creepypasta, meaning that they have a story of some horrible stuff like Killing, being psychotic, and making cupcakes from dead people, but I always loved them. I am not insane I just love the bad side.
“Yes that is my final choice. Thanks for doing this nightmare moon. I am eternally grateful.” I bowed to her very happily.
“It is my pleasure. Now here is how this will work. Every saturday the time strikes midnight here there is going to be a new pony, so you have a week with each pony to get to know them and possibly fall in love. At the end of the 7 weeks on Sunday, I will summon all 7 and then you will choose who you will have as a love.” She explained and now I was extremely giddy at the thought of seeing someone or somepony in this case caring for me and somepony to talk to. You see in high school no girl would look at me, I was the guy who just stays away from them and watches youtube and did homework so if anything it is my fault. I looked at nightmare moon and asked something that I wanted to do so bad.
“Can I hug you? Sorry if that’s an awkward question it is just that you are my favorite from the- “I didn’t finish, because nightmare moon was now hugging me and it was awesome! When she hugged me I could feel her warm fur coat on my left cheek. Note that she is a head above me, so when she hugged me her chin was sitting on top of my head. I wrapped my arms around her and returned the hug. After what feels like 2 minutes we released, to my dissatisfaction. I look at the digital alarm clock to find that it is 11:59 PM.
“It seems that it is time for me to go. It was a pleasure meeting you Jay, but when I leave Rarity will be here when it strikes midnight. Goodbye.” I waved her goodbye, slipped off my clothes except my boxers, and lay down in my bed. I pulled the covers over me and as I was about to sleep I feel a weight shift on the bed, like what it’s like when someone puts weight on the bed your laying in. I look at the clock to see, 12:01. ‘And so it begins.’
