The Banishment

Twilight could not believe it. They had failed. The Changelings had taken Canterlot and overrun the city, Defeated Celestisa and now took them prisoner. They had taken Spike too, he was roughly shoved into the group of ponies being marched to the throne room. Twilight looked around at the city, there were groups of ponies bound together with the green slime that changelings produced for just that purpose. It did not take long for them to reach the throne room doors, the changeling ahead of them opened the door to take them to the queen, just before his head was split down the middle.

Fluttershy jumped behind the group screaming as green blood splattered on the group of six ponies and one dragon youngling. Twilight barely processed what had happened before a once silver axe buried itself in the chest of the Changeling next to her. The axe was pulled from the Changeling before anypony could so much as blink, then was brought back around to remove the creatures head. The entire group stood in utter shock as princess Luna cut through the changeling horde with her twin axes. Very soon the Changeling escort had been killed off leaving only them and a now excessively bloody moon princess.

“Princess Luna?!!”Twilight shrieked.

“Yes?” She replied turning to face her.

“What in the hay was that?!?!” Rainbow bellowed.

“Jumpin Junebugs princess!!! I never thought you would just hop in swinging a weapon an save us!” Applejack exclaimed astonishment written on her face.

“Not many would. I try to look harmless, however I can never tell how successful my attempts at timidity are.” Luna said calmly.”But right now we need to get my sister out of that cocoon she’s in, and thrash that insect that dares invade this city.”

Twilight was taken aback by the violent words Luna chose. Still she did not argue, they did need to get Celestia out of there.
Luna then charged into the castle her twin axes at her sides. The seven followed her in at the same pace, they passed several doors and rooms containing ponies and Changeling alike. Luna burst into the throne room and did not hesitate to remove the nearest Changelings leg, then head both of which hit the floor before its body did. The six ponies and dragon stopped to see the throne room crowded with changelings. The horde turned to look at the axe wielding princess, then they flew or charged at her.

“Oooh goody, a challenge. Hahaha.” Luna said before laughing maniacally as she charged at them with equal force.

Twilight saw doubt enter the expressions of many changelings as they saw a blood soaked, axe waving cackling princess. Before any could decide weather fighting her was worth dying for, the decision was made for them in the form of death by axe blade. Luna came through the horde with unrestrained rage that dealt death quickly and without mercy. Twilight looked up to see Celestia in a green cocoon, she was watching Luna intently however she did not look too surprised.
Returning her gave to the bloodthirsty moon princess, Twilight saw that half of the changeling force had been reduced to dismembered limbs and heads. Still Luna fought like a demon who had too much coffee for breakfast, she looked like a whirlwind that cut its enemies down with no mercy. Luna proceeded to bury one axe in a changelings forehead and the other in its shoulder three times in quick succession.

Twilight turned to look up at her mentor, she was stuck in a green cocoon upside down. Celestia was watching her little sister intently, and very surprised. Returning her gaze to the crazed moon princess, Twilight saw that Luna had all but destroyed the horde of changelings. There were bodies littering the floor and piled in places here and there, many had missing limbs or heads, and if none were missing they were often spilt in two(especially in the case of heads.). There were no changeling soldiers left in the throne room by then. The short amount of time it took Luna to kill such a large group scared Twilight more than anything, and the look on Lunas face, it sent a shiver down Twilights spine.

All of a sudden Luna was hit by a green beam of magic, it came from just behind the throne. Chrysalis had fired a leech spell(a changelings specialty) at Luna and hit her dead in the chest. Luna was thrown into a nearby pillar, and hard. Luna did not lose her grip on her axes though and charged chrysalis the minuite she hit the floor. However the leech spell had already begun draining her energy, and she had slowed down noticeably. Chrysalis doged her axe swing and blasted her skyward, the edge of one of her axes caught Celestias prison membrane.Celestia spilled out in front of Twilight, who rushed to her side emmediately. Twilight assisted in her mentors rising from the ground.

“Princess Celestia, are you alright?!” Twilight asked concern heavy in her voice.

“I am fine at the moment.” Celestia said getting up, “its Luna we need to worry about.”

As if on cue Luna landed hard on her side, about three feet from Celestia. Celestia ran up to her sister and checked her for injuries, there were none. Luna tried to get up but her legs failed her, she fell back to the ground her breathing heavy. The group looked up at the now laughing queen.

“You have become quite the problem princess.” She said to the exhausted Luna. “I would be a fool to keep you here, same goes for your little friends. I think you need a vacation, a permanent one.”

With that Chrysalis lit up her jagged horn in preparation for a spell to assume kill them.

“However, since I cannot kill any of you and hope to harvest the food my subjects need. I have a much better idea.”

So the queen released a pulse spell that launched them through the wall and off into the distance. Twilight saw the ground pass beneath them, then ocean, then land again. All the while the group was screaming, save for Luna who was too tired to do such a thing. The wind whistled in their ears as they flew faster than any Pegasus could. Lucky for them Celestia cast a spell to stop them just before they hit the earth.

Twilight got up quickly and began helping her friends up, Celestia got up and went to her sister. Luna got up with the help of her sister. Spying her axes nearby she went to retrieve them. Spike went up to luna as she tucked her axes under her wings.

“Are you ok Princess Luna,” Spike asked.

“I am fine Spike, thank you for your concern.” She replied smiling at him.

Spike shivered, the sight of a blood soaked princess smiling at him was just plain frightening. Spike smiled back however getting over his fear. She was not his enemy.

“Where are we?” Celestia asked looking around.

Luna took in her surroundings, her eyes widened as recognition swept over her. Luna began looking over in different places not believing it, but it was true.

“Could it be?” Luna said in a low voice.

“Could what be?” Rainbow Dash asked curious.

“Could I really be back here? In my homeland?” Luna asked, “I cant know for certain yet, but one thing is clear. This isn’t Equestria.”
