Act Your Age.
A Much Needed Scolding.
Load Full Story“Try on something else! That outfit is absolutely horrendous!” Spoiled Rich flaunted her hoof in disgust towards her daughter, the filly Diamond Tiara folding her ears back sadly as her pale blue eyes gazed to the frilly white dress upon her.
“I think it’s nice.” Tiara gave a soft whisper in reply, her tiny left hoof kicking the air gently.
“Oh course you think that darling. But anypony can see it makes you look as fat as a cow.
”Spoiled gave a quick callus giggle while her hoof lifted to hide a grin.
“But mom…”
“Not another word! When you are the eldest at something you can make the decision, until then step out of that ugly thing now!” Gone was any hint of sweetness from her voice, a loud hiss escaping the mares mouth as her hoof slammed the ground hard.
Many ponies gathered around gave quick glances in their direction, some whispering aloud as others just went on their own way. Tiara could feel her face burn a bright red, gently slumping over as she made her way into a nearby dressing room.
“Now stay in there! I’ll find something in this failure of a boutique that is worth wearing.
” Spoiled gave a faux gag and trotted around the store, making her way towards a group of mares admiring a lovely scarf.
“So girls it is decided! Once Candy Corn goes to her place to grab the bits, we’ll so totally share the scarf through the…” The pink mare of the group was cut off as Spoiled simply pushed her aside, hoof quickly snatching up the scarf.
“Hey! We were going to buy that..”Candy Corn huffed a orange colored mare pouted, watching in disbelief as Spoiled wrapped the item around her neck with a eye roll.
“Do you three even have the bits on hoof?” Spoiled snorted aloud.
“No but.” The third mare of cream color spoke in a whimper.
“Law of the store I fear, It’s mine now! So get on and go!” The mare flaunted her hoof over them, each mare grumbling softly as they scooted along and out of the store.
“As if they could even pull this off.” Spoiled broke into a vile giggle as she swayed her backside proudly, eyes watching every item with care until she spotted it.
Within the crowded boutique past the shelves of dresses and skirts, beyond the row of lovely hoof made saddles. Set right beside a closed curtain of a dressing room was a glowing golden dress, it was lined in many a precious jewel sown with the finest of fabrics.
Spoiled could feel her whole frame shiver in place, the glow alone of such a dress would make her the talk of the town. Thoughts of her frame being the envy of every mare in Ponyville filling her mind, a smug smile forming across her muzzle as she slyly made her way to the item.
Making sure to be so swift and quiet, that none would notice the dress until it was too late. By then they would all be bowing before her, her smile growing ever wider as her hoof reached out and touched the dress.
“Excuse me. That is mine, It’s within my buy pile dear.” A soft spoken voice echoed from behind the curtain, she must’ve seen her silhouette pass by.
“If that was true, then I’d say one would keep it closer.” Spoiled blew a soft raspberry towards the curtain, quickly swiping up the dress from the small chair near the curtain.
“What!? Did your mother ever teach you manners?” The voice echoed as Spoiled just rolled her eyes in place, flipping the dress over her backside with ease.
“No. She taught me that if I wanted something, to take it fool!” Spoiled spat at the curtain as a long silence took hold, the mare giving a victorious hmph aloud.
Yet before she could walk away the curtain flung open, stepping out in a shimmering glow like none other was the princess of the sun herself- Celestia.
“Your highness!” Spoiled gave a loud gasp as she took a small step back.
“Tsk-tsk. I can’t believe how disgusting a mare your age acted?” Celestia gave a small shake of her head, the mare gazing down slowly.
“I had no idea it was you though…” The mare let out a small laugh sheepishly.
“So what? You’d treat any other pony like trash then?” The alicorn took a small step forward, gazing down at the mare who stood before her.
“Yes! I mean no!” Spoiled shivered in place as the princess gave a small pout, her eyes locking on her own swiftly.
“You need to learn to grow up! Act your age young lady!” Celestia narrowed her eyes slightly as Spoiled could feel her heart race wildly in her chest.
“You are right. I’m...I’m…” Spoiled whimpered in a softer high pitched tone as she could feel as if the store was growing around her, the open curtain in front of her seeming to tower a bit taller.
“ I swear running around the store like a child, just yanking away other’s clothes. Very naughty.” Celestia gave a smirk to the shrinking mare before her, she was no longer the size of a teen pony but a child.
“I was just joking, I promise princess.” Spoiled could feel her mane growing a bit longer and wild, her body compressing smaller as her hooves seemed so tiny now.
She gazed down to the floor, as the scarf around her neck was slowly starting to slide off. Tiny taps of her ear rings hitting the ground as she shrunk more, far too young for jewelry.
“Even unable to just admit you are wrong, babbling like a baby.” Celestia winked down to the small four year old filly before her.
“Pwincess. I’ma so sowwy for bein’ sucha meanie.” Spoiled could feel her cheeks burning a bright red, tears filling her eyes as she sat in the bundled up scarf on the floor pathetically.
Her voice caught in a lisp as she couldn’t hold back her emotions, bursting out into soft sobs as she lifted her hooves to her eyes gently. Celestia sighing and softly patting the child's mane, cooing aloud to try and comfort the poor thing.
“It’s ok darling, you’ll learn to be a wonderful mare one day. You just need practice cutie.” Celestia gave a gentle coo down to a tiny, year old foal on the ground sitting in a bunched up dress on the floor.
“Sister! There you are!” Diamond Tiara rushed over to the tiny foal in worry, her delicate sister bawling on the floor in fear.
The large pink diaper on her rump, wafting with the scent of a accident. Tiara sighing sweetly, thinking her little sister had frightened herself into a frenzy after crawling away deeper into the store.
“Heehee. I found the adorable little thing playing with my dress, I guess she took a liking of how bright it was.” Celestia gave a soft giggle as Spoiled gazed up to her with tear soaked eyes, babbling in gibberish aloud.
“I’m just so sorry she bugged you, my dad gave me some bits to get us some new dresses. I guess I just got distracted.” Tiara let out a soft giggle, the princess nodding along to her apology.
“Quite alright. I just think Little Miss Fussy here needs a changing, followed by a long nap.” Celestia used her magic to lift up the dress and scarf from the floor, the foal bawling aloud as she pointed to the princess with tiny flailing hooves.
“Heehee. You are so right, c’mon fussy boots! Let’s get you changed into a fresh diaper, then I have this sooo cute dress to show you.” Tiara giggled and scooped up her new baby sister, none the wiser that she was once her mother.
“You be good now.” Celestia winked to the child, who simply began to whine even louder, new thoughts of how her mommy was never around making her cry.
Though she understood the sky took her mommy, she knew that her older sissy was here to stay. Cuddling up close to her sister, she was carried towards the changing rooms in the back.
Hoping in her mind that the pretty dress her sister picked out, was the adorable white frilly one.
She couldn’t explain why…
But she liked it, reminded her of a Moo-moo.
