The Everfree forest was especially dark and gloomy, it’s monstrous leaves casting a unpleasant aura that could terrify a Cockitrice. Deep in the forest, far enough where no pony would dare to venture, a massive bipedal reptile laid in her nest. The forest looked like little broccoli-shaped bushes compared to the gargantuan female saurian. Lying in a prone position while having the cover of night lay over her like a blanket, it would be no surprise if you mistaken the beast for a mountain. Several birds had used the large jagged dorsal plates that covered the reptile’s back as shelter, building nests inside the narrow spaces between the bladed tips of the jagged spines. The reptile’s mate had left to hunt hours ago, and he hasn’t returned since. The female saurian wore a worried expression as she stared at the horizon. He should’ve been back by now. “SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGK!” The female immediately whipped her head around, now in a state of awareness. Was that her mate? “SKREEEEEEEEEOOOOOONNNNNGGGGK!!” There it was again, the unmistakable roar of her mate. The reptile wanted to get up and find out what was happening, but she had to stay with the egg nestled between her leg. “KREEEEEEEKKKK” A shock of terror struck the female like a piercing arrow upon hearing that dreadful sound. There was only one creature that could utter that horrible screech. The female’s danger signals began blaring at her like crazy, forcing her to rise from the prone position. Her fears were realized when she spotted a fight breaking out just miles away. *** The rage-filled roar of the male Gojirasaur shook the ground, drowning out the sounds of chirping crickets and croaking frogs. He charged at the giant eight-legged behemoth facing him, clamping his jaws on the beast’s neck. The second creature grappled onto the male Gojirasaur, digging its hooked appendages into the reptile’s scaly skin. With a sudden jerk, the multi-limbed beast threw the male on the ground. Before the male Gojirasaur could recover, the second beast began striking him with vicious blows to the head and neck. The male screeched with pain as he desperately tried to fight back. Right as the behemoth went in for the killing blow, the female Gojirasaur launched herself at the beast and sunk her sharp teeth into the same spot her mate attacked, ripping out a chunk of flesh. Blueish-green blood dripped from the opened wound, but that didn’t stop the eight-legged creature from charging. The beast stabbed its hooks in the female’s gills, violently ripping off chunks of bloody flesh and cartilage while watching a river of blood gush out of the wound. The female’s pained screech was cut short when the behemoth tackled her and sank its teeth into her throat. It crunched down, watching more streams of thick crimson leak from the wound. The beast kept ripping into the female, taking pleasure in her wails of agony. The pained cries were suddenly drowned out by the booming crescendo of energy building up inside the dorsal plates of the male Gojirasaur, who had managed to right himself up. The behemoth turned around right as the male opened his jaws and fired a torrent of blue nuclear flame at his opponent. The multi-limbed beast shrieked with pain as the flames scorched its skin. Hurt and angry, the behemoth charged at the male Gojirasaur, stabbing its hooked claws straight through his neck. The male screeched with agony as he was once again shoved to the ground. The second beast clamped its jaws on the male’s neck and twisted it until the defeaning crunch of broken bones was heard. The female watched with horror as the behemoth dropped the limp form of her beloved mate. Weakened from the blood loss, the desperate female struggled to get to her egg. She took it in her claws and ran off, trying to keep her vision clear. She came across a river, watching the water rush downstream. She grabbed a log and placed the egg inside, pushing the makeshift boat in the water. The female collapsed from pain and exhaustion, watching the log float away until it disappeared from her sight. Her mission completed, the female’s eyelids slowly slid over her light-blue eyes. As the female slumped over, her ragged breathing came to a stop. *** The eight-legged behemoth smashed through the foliage of the Everfree forest, uttering a series of angry clicks. It had just missed the egg floating away. The creature treaded over the female Gojirasaur’s corpse, chasing after the egg with vigor. Killing the parents wasn’t enough to satisfy the monster’s bloodthirst. It wanted to kill everyone. Spotting the log which housed the egg inside, the beast increased its speed, opening its terrible jaws to devour the egg. Unexpectedly, the log made a sharp turn down the stream, just narrowly dodging the beast’s jaws. The creature missed its footing while trying to turn, tumbling into the river. The log made its way downstream, leaving the giant creature thrashing in the water. “KREEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK” Roared the beast as it desperately tried to right itself. *** The egg disappeared in the marshes, finally safe from the clutches of the murderous creature. It traveled down the slow-moving water, schools of tiny fish passing the log. It seemed like hours until the egg reached a lake that stood right next to a small town. The log finally rested on the lake’s shore, rocking with the rhythm of the tiny waves that shook it. It wasn’t long until a certain light-purple alicorn came across the log. “What’s this?” The alicorn said to herself, a bright purple aura wrapping around her horn as she magically levitated the chunk of wood towards her. Normally, a plain old log wouldn’t interest her, but the alicorn noticed something hidden inside. She carefully opened the log, a soft gasp escaping her lips as the egg came into sight. “Sweet Celestia! How long was this egg here?” The alicorn exclaimed, looking around. No animals that might have been the egg’s parents came out of the marshes looking for their egg. The alicorn sighed, grabbing a medium sized cloth and wrapped it snugly around the egg. She placed the safely inside a basket she was carrying, walking away from the lake. “Don’t worry, I know a pony who’d love to take care of you.” Chapter 1Discovery “Today’s going to be a beautiful day, I just know it.” A yellow pegasus said as she walked out of her house and towards the chicken coops arranged in a rectangular position. Fluttershy gently combed her light-pink mane as she handed out the chicken feed to the multitudes of chickens, giving them a warm smile as she walked past. After feeding her chickens, she took a bucket of carrots in her hoof and trotted over to a small doghouse-esque construct. “Good morning, Angel. Come on out, breakfast is ready.” Fluttershy crooned. A snow-white rabbit yawned and walked out of the bunny house, scratching his rump. Fluttershy handed her beloved rabbit a large carrot, watching with glee as Angel cheerfully devoured his favorite vegetable. “I’m glad you liked it, Angel.” Fluttershy said, scratching Angel behind the ears (which was his favorite spot!). Fluttershy moved on to visit the rest of her animals, spending the morning feeding them, tending to their other needs, and playing with them. After an hour, she was finally finished with the morning chores. Fluttershy sighed to herself as she walked to her front door, reaching out a hoof to open it. She noticed something in the corner of her eye and turned her head, spotting a basket laid on the far right of her wooden porch. “A basket? I wonder who put it on my porch...” Fluttershy said, peeking inside. She gasped at the sight of the egg sitting inside the basket with the cloth providing feeble warmth. “Oh, my goodness! Who brought you here? You poor thing...” Fluttershy exclaimed, carefully picking up the egg in her arms. She found it strange that the egg was abnormally large, but it still needed Fluttershy’s care. *** Twilight Sparkle sat on her couch, quietly reading a book to herself. She had just finished reading a chapter when Spike came rushing down the stairs. “Twilight, you got a- YIPE!!” Spike was cut off when he tripped on a step and tumbled downstairs. “Sweet Celestia! Spike, are you okay?!” Twilight exclaimed as she rushed over to the little dragon and picked him up. “You got mail... from Princess Celestia.” Spike said, handing his adoptive sister a scroll with a royal crown emblem embedded on it. Twilight read the note, concern creeping on her face. “Princess Celestia wants me to visit her castle. Something has been stirring from the Everfree forest and she wants my help in locating the source.” Twilight said. Suddenly, Twilight turned her head to the sound of a faint knock on her crystaline door. She headed for the door, opening it to see Fluttershy standing on Twilight’s porch. “Oh, Fluttershy. Good morning. Is there something wrong?” Twilight asked. “There’s nothing wrong, Twilight. I just need a bit of help. I found this egg wrapped up inside a basket that somepony left in my front porch. I thought you’d have a clue who left it there?” Fluttershy replied. “Oh, Fluttershy, I left the egg on the porch for you. Last night I found the poor thing encased in a log that must have floated down from the Everfree forest. I figured you were the perfect pony to take care of it.” Twilight explained. “Oh, that’s very thoughtful of you. I’ll be more than happy to care for the little baby.... Um.... Say, I don’t know any bird or reptile that could lay a egg of this size before. I thought you could research what animal laid it.” Fluttershy said. Twilight was already digging through her enormous library until she found a large book the color of mud and wrapped in leather coating. Using her magic, Twilight levitated the brown encyclopedia in the air while trotting back to Fluttershy, sitting on the floor next to her. “Here, we should be able to find out what animal could lay eggs this size. And then, we should be able to know what we’re dealing with.” Twilight stated. She and Fluttershy began reading through the thousands of texts and excerpts on Equestria’s wildlife. *** Many hours have passed, yet Twilight, Fluttershy, and Spike still haven’t found a answer. Twilight found herself dozing off and shook her head, trying to stay awake. “I don’t understand this at all. My encyclopedia has no information on any animal that lays plus-sized eggs!” Twilight tiredly groaned. “Maybe because the egg might not belong to a ordinary animal. What if it’s a dragon egg?” Spike suggested. “Good thinking, but dragons don’t lay eggs this big.” Twilight replied. She scratched her head in deep thought, until another knock on the door ripped her attention from the book. “I’ll get it, Twi.” Spike said, walking to the door. But the little dragon didn’t get a chance to open the door when Pinkie Pie threw the door open, a wide grin plastered on her face like always. “Hiya, guys!” Pinkie exclaimed, wrapping Twilight and Fluttershy in a warm embrace. Following close behind, Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash entered Twilight’s home. “We’ve been lookin’ for y’all all morning. Figured y’all were still sleeping in bed.” Applejack said. “I had spent the entire morning getting ready to go shopping with Spikey-Wikey.” Rarity said “Speaking of, where is Spike?” Rainbow Dash asked. The front door creaked as it slowly closed, revealing a flattened Spike that got plastered to the crystaline construct. “Ow....” Spke groaned. “Silly dragon, what are you doing to that door?” Pinkie asked. “Oh, you know. Hugging the door.” Spike sarcastically remarked before he managed to free himself. Rarity noticed the egg sitting between Fluttershy and Twilight. “Is that a egg? My goodness, it’s absolutely huge!” Rarity said. “We’ve spent all morning trying to figure out what animal could’ve laid this egg. But we still haven’t found any useful information.” Fluttershy said. “Well, Ah reckon it’s some sort of dragon egg.” Applejack observed. “That’s what I said. But Twilight says the egg is even bigger than a dragon egg.” Spike said. “Ooh! Ooh! I know, I know! What if it’s... a alien egg? I bet it’s gonna split open and a weird spider thing’s gonna jump on our faces and impregnate us with its babies!” Pinkie exclaimed, earning weird looks from her friends. “What? It’s a possibility.” Pinkie said. Without warning, the egg began to shake and tremble, cracks forming on its shell. “Guys, the egg’s hatching!” Rainbow said. The ponies backed up as the egg kept cracking. Chapter 2Behold the king’s heir The egg trembled fervently, giving way to more interwining cracks that began twisting around each other like growing vines. Finally, a long reptilian tail popped out of the eggshell, wagging vigoriously. Following the tail were two thick saurian legs that kicked holes in the eggshell. It really looked like the egg came to life and grew a pair of limbs. The still hidden hatchling tried to get up and walk, but it immediately tumbled over while flailing its legs. Spike couldn’t help but giggle at the egg’s amusing attempts to right itself. Finally, the mysterious hatchling managed to free it’s body of the lower half of the eggshell, now revealing the hatchling’s body and arms. A piece of eggshell had remained stuck on the infant’s head like a over-hanging cap. Fluttershy approached the infant, gently removing the last piece of the broken eggshell. Teal-blue eyes immediately locked with large golden eyes sporting huge black pupils that gave off a puppy-like look. The infant reptile’s face slightly gave a resemblance to that of a bear, sporting a large and almost cube-like head. The infant opened it’s jaws wide in a gaping yawn, saliva dripping from the roof of it’s mouth. Everyone couldn’t help but draw out a soft “Aaaawwww”. “It’s so cuuuuuuuute!!” Pinkie exclaimed. “Well, Ah’ll be. That lil’ feller may just be the cutest thing Ah laid mah eyes on.” Applejack said. “But what exactly is this thing?” Rainbow asked. The infant reptile barely made a couple of steps before falling over on its face. Fluttershy picked up the hatchling in her arms, chuckling softly. “It is definitely a reptile of some sort.” Fluttershy said as she rocked the infant in her arms. Twilight looked through her encyclopedia fervently. She suddenly gasped loudly, her eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. Everyone turned their gaze to Twilight. “Twilight, darling, what’s the matter?” Rarity asked. “How could I have missed this? There’s hidden information on extraordinary animals and creatures only seen on historical texts.... Oh sweet Celestia...!” Twilight exclaimed as she turned to another page. “Fluttershy, that baby.... it’s a Gojirasaur.” Twilight said. “A Gojirasaur? What is that, some sort of dragon-like creature?” Rainbow asked. “The book states Gojirasaurs are colossal reptilian beasts that once dominated Equestria during ancient times. They are considered extinct but there have been at least two recorded rare sightings deep in the Everfree Forest. They are extremely powerful beasts with enough physical power to decimate entire landscapes, which had led to scientists classifying these great beasts as alpha predators. Gojirasaurs are highly aggressive animals, proven with the fact there was a report about a exceptionally aggressive Gojirasaur obliterating an entire civilization with a devastating beam of nuclear fire that’s believed to be far more powerful than dragon fire. The fact that there are only two recorded sightings, the monarchs of old deemed Gojirasaurs as legendary beasts. It also says here that adult Gojirasaurs are so enormous, the tallest mountain in Equestria would only reach up to their waist.” Twilight read, a surprised expression on her face. Everyone stared at the infant Gojirasaur held in Fluttershy’s arms. “This tiny thing’s gonna grow bigger than a mountain? That. Is. AWESOME!!!” Rainbow exclaimed, flapping her wings and hovering over Fluttershy and the baby Gojirasaur. “Imagine if we had a giant fire-breathing mega-lizard on our side! All of those scumbag villains would run away with their tails between their legs as Crusher decimates them with one flick of his claws!” Rainbow said excitedly. “Hold yer horses for a second, Rainbow. Did you just name the critter?” Applejack asked. “Sure I did! It’s a pretty great name too, huh?” Rainbow asked. “I don’t think ‘Crusher’ is a good name for a baby.” Fluttershy said. “Whaddya mean?! It’s a perfect name for him.” Rainbow retorted. Spike read the passages about the Gojirasaur species. “Well, the encyclopedia does delve a little more on the case with the Gojirasaur that attacked the civilization. The locals dubbed him ‘Gojira’, which was later translated to ‘Godzilla’. Maybe that should be his name.” Spike suggested. “I concur with Spike. That sounds like a more suitable name for him, given the nature of these gargantuan creatures.” Rarity said. “Well, if we’re really naming the baby... Then Godzilla it is.” Twilight said. She trotted to the door, grabbing some maps and a pen. “I’m sorry I can’t stay with you girls longer, Princess Celestia sent a mesage earlier this morning and she wants me to meet her in the Everfree forest.” Twilight said as she finished preparing. “Hey, wait a minute. What if Godzilla’s parents are looking for him? Maybe they lost the egg last night and are probably worried sick about him!” Spike said. “Shoot, I never thought of that. Maybe we could locate his parents and return him to them. I’ll see what we should do, bye girls.” Twilight said as she walked out. Fluttershy spreaded her wings and prepared to take flight. “It was nice seeing you girls. I have to tend to the baby now, I’ll hopefully see you all later.” Fluttershy said as she flew off back to her cottage. Chapter 3Uncovering the Dead Standing In front of the entrance to the Everfree forest, a tall Alicorn the color of snow slightly furrowed her brow as she glanced at a large tree with several thick, wavy branches that jutted out from the trunk’s exterior. Her rainbow-colored mane flowed in the direction of the wind as her violet eyes locked on a couple of birds darting between the lime-green leaves. Her golden tiara glimmered in the sunlight, creating a blinding refraction of light that lit up the dirty gravel road. The Alicorn’s ears perked up to the familair clop of hooves heading her direction. Turning around, she found herself facing her favorite student. “Princess Celestia. I read your message.” Twilight said. “Last night, I sensed a disturbance that originated from deep within the Everfree forest. I don’t know what caused the disturbance, but I figured it wasn’t good. In order to determine what was making such a ruckus, I decided to locate the source. Though, I require your help. After all, there’s no pony I know that could track down potential magic sources better than you.” Celestia said with a sweet smile. Twilight returned the gesture as a response. “I’m sure we’ll find the source and deal with it quickly. Are you ready to enter?” Twilight said. Celestia gave a affirming nod and trotted down the gravel road with Twilight following close behind. *** After several long hours flying over the forest, Twilight and Princess Celestia landed near a stream. It was evident the two equines were in a area that hadn’t been explored in who knows how long. The duo looked around, trying to find anything that could help them figure out the problem. Twilight turned around to face the stream, suddenly yelping in fright. She had inadvertedly walked straight into the snout of the female Gojirasaur’s corpse. Celestia rushed to her student, gasping loudly at the corpse before her. Compared to the dead titan laying in front of them, the two ponies were nothing but miniscule ants. “My goodness. During all my years as Equestria’s monarch, I thought this creature was nothing but a legend. How wrong I was to believe such a thing.” Celestia said, her statement coming out more of a whisper than a bold sentence. Twilight cautiously walked around the dead reptile, gasping in shock at the number of large, bloody wounds it sustained. It’s neck and throat were ripped open, revealing the massive neck vertebrae buried inside. Celestia wore a expression of dread and sympathy on her face as she inspected the carcass. Whatever had happened, this Gojirasaur was unjustly murdered. No living thing deserves to endure the horrible pain of death, not even a beast as large as this. Twilight summoned all the courage she could muster and trotted past the body, venturing into it’s former lair. She noticed a large nest that was torn asunder, pieces of wood and hay strewn all over the ground. Celestia took to the sky to scan the area, spotting the second Gojirasaur corpse from the air. “Twilight, there’s another corpse just a few feet from you.” Celestia hollered. Twilight acknowledged the sun diarch but made no effort to see it for herself. She had just connected the pieces of the puzzle together. These were Godzilla’s parents. They didn’t lose their egg. Something else murdered his parents and presumably left the infant to die. Twilight let out a forced sigh as she closed her eyes in sorrow. What creature would do such a horrible thing? Celestia landed next to Twilight, eyeing her sorrowful expression. “Princess, last night I found an egg encased in a log and brought it to Fluttershy. We watched it hatch this morning, and it turned out to be a infant Gojirasaur. These two were his parents....” Twilight said. Celestia took a final glance at the corpses before approaching her pupil with a concerned look. “A infant?” “Yes. By now, Fluttershy should have taken it home.” “I would like to see the infant, if you don’t mind.” “Of course.” Chapter 4Confession Fluttershy had to admit, taking care of a legendary beast was far from easy. Godzilla ran around the cottage, chasing after the chickens, bunnies, and other critters under the yellow pegasus’ care. Fluttershy had to chase him around and keep him from hurting anyone. The little saurian had also made a big mess out of the kitchen and bathrooms by strewing food and paper everywhere. Of course, Godzilla doesn’t mean to hurt the other animals. He doesn’t know how to properly play with anything smaller than him. Godzilla ran after Angel excitedly, unable to comprehend why the bunny didn’t want to play with him. He managed to catch the frightened bunny, holding him by the ears with his jaws and turning to walk off someplace else. “No, we do not eat bunnies!” Fluttershy said, picking Godzilla up and carefully releasing Angel from the little reptile’s grasp. After he was placed back on the floor, Godzilla noticed a plush carrot toy and popped it in his mouth, attempting to swallow the fuzzy object. He barfed it out immediately after, discovering toys did not taste very good. Fluttershy sighed as she sat on a chair, watching the infant continue explore her home. She exhaustedly watched as Godzilla tried dragging a chair towards the living room. For such a tiny and adorable baby Gojirasaur, Godzilla was a pretty big troublemaker. Fluttershy felt the corners of her mouth rising, smiling as she realized Godzilla’s antics reminded her of how Angel acted when he was young. Suddenly, she heard a knock on her door. She trotted over and opened the door, her eyes widening at the sight of Twilight and Celestia waiting at her doorstep. “Twilight and... Princess Celestia? Please, come in.” Fluttershy said, moving to the side as the two ponies entered her cottage. “Hello, Fluttershy. It’s not everyday that I come to visit your lovely home.” Celestia said with a chuckle. “Twilight told me about the hatchling. May I see him?” “Why, sure.” Fluttershy said, leading Twilight and Celestia to her living room. Godzilla was busy figuring out how to climb on the same chair he tried to eat. He tried jumping on it, but he slipped off the seat seconds after. He turned around noticing Celestia and Twilight looking at him. Celestia approached the infant, a soft chuckle escaping her lips as Godzilla began nibbling on her left arm. “This infant is too precious.” Celestia cooed as she gently stroked Godzilla’s back. His dorsal plates were tiny, undeveloped, rugged bumps that made it feel like stroking his back was equivalent to stroking a rough-edged rock. “Fluttershy, we found Godzilla’s parents.” Twilight said. Fluttershy looked at her friend in surprise. “Really? That’s wonderful! Then let’s figure out where they’re heading so we can reunite them with Godzilla.” Fluttershy said, hope in her voice. Twilight’s ears flopped over both sides of her head as she bore a expression of dismay. “That’s the bad news.... We can’t reunite him...” Twilight said. Fluttershy’s smile disappeared as quick as it appeared. “What? W-Why...?” Fluttershy asked. “His parents.... are dead. We came across their corpses during our exploration. Something must have killed them.” Twilight answered. Fluttershy let out a soft gasp that was followed by a whimper. Fluttershy felt the sting of tears at the edge of her eyes, trying so hard to choke back sobs. But it was futile. “Why would.... anyone do something horrible? I... know it’s part of nature.... but... I can’t believe... Godzilla won’t know how it’s like.... to live with his parents...!” Fluttershy sobbed. Celestia, who was now holding Godzilla in her arms, approached Fluttershy. “Fluttershy, it is heart-breaking to say the least. But Twilight believed you’re the right pony to care for the orphan. I, too, believe that. Therefore, it is best that ‘Godzilla’ remains under your care, where nothing can bring it harm.” Celestia said, handing Godzilla over to Fluttershy. The yellow pegasus wiped away a tear as she hugged the little reptile in a motherly fashion. “I’ll do my best to properly raise him, princess.” Fluttershy said. “I know you will. Now, I must return to Canterlot. I’m going to research more about Godzilla’s species and see what we are dealing with. Until then, I bid you both farewell.” Celestia said, walking out of the cottage. “I’m going to head home and do my own research. If you need help you can always stop by the castle.” Twilight said, waving a goodbye as she departed. Fluttershy nuzzled Godzilla’s snout as she headed for the kitchen. “I bet you’re hungry, aren’t you?” Fluttershy asked with a warm smile. Chapter 6Audience with the Diarchs Princess Celestia stood on the balcony of her castle, overlooking the citizens of Canterlot going about their daily routines. Every once and a while, a passing pony would wave at the princess, and she’ll respond with a wave of her hoof. Celestia normally wears a smile throughout the day, but today she just couldn’t even smirk. The recent discovery of ancient mega-lizards has left the sun diarch unsettled at best. What if there are other creatures like Godzilla’s kind living in the outskirts of Equestria? She really didn’t want to think about giant monsters invading her kingdom and attacking her subjects. Celestia barely acknowledged the creak of opening doors as she continued staring at the horizon. “Sister, what is troubling thou?” A deep yet soothing feminine voice asked. Celestia whipped her head around to her sister and the moon diarch of Equestria, Princess Luna. “Nothing is troubling me, Lulu. I’m just.... tired.” Celestia replied. Luna gave her older sister a look before turning her gaze to the sky. “Tia, thou don’t look tired. I can tell thou is unsettled. What’s disturbing thy peace?” Luna asked. Celestia just sighed, turning to the royal bedroom. “Lulu-“ “Sister, It’s okay. Tell me.” Celestia sighed harder, realizing there’s no escaping this predicament. Luna would just pester her until she spilled the truth. “Twilight and I ventured into the Everfree forest after I sensed a disturbance two nights ago. When we arrived to the deepest part of the forest, we came across the carcasses of two full-grown Gojirasaurs.” Celestia confessed. Luna made a face that looked like she was confused and surprised at the same time. “Thou found what?” Luna bursted in shock. “It appears that the Gojirasaurs are more than mere legends. In fact, Twilight had rescued their hatchling from the same fate that very night. Right now it is under the care of our Element of Kindness.” Celestia stated. “Wait, wait, wait... a living infant... residing in a citizen’s house...?! Sister, art thou crazy? From the ancient texts we’ve read, Gojirasaurs possessed great destructive power. One had already destroyed an entire civilization. Thou can’t just let a hatchling live amongst our subjects!” Luna argued. “Sister, I’m well aware of the dangers such a creature poses. But I trust the fact the hatchling can learn from Fluttershy and adapt. She’s wonderful with animals, and Gojirasaurs are no different. She’ll tame him in no time. Besides, the deceased Gojirasaurs we found were clearly killed by another creature, one presumably even more dangerous than them. But I can’t figure out what could have such strength to bring down a Gojirasaur.” Celestia said. Suddenly, a scroll magically teleported right in front of Celestia’s face. Activating her horn’s magic, Celestia levitated the scroll towards her and opened the scroll as she began reading it. Her eyes widened in sudden shock. “What is it, sister?” Luna asked. “It’s Twilight. And she has uncovered the creature responsible for the deceased Gojirasaurs.” Celestia replied. The two sisters read through the scroll, a look of alarm on their faces. “This is not good at all. This ‘MUTO’ could be anywhere in Equestria. We can’t allow such a dangerous beast roam our lands while rampaging through defenseless cities and towns.” Luna said. Suddenly, the doors to the sisters’ bedroom flew open, giving way to a tall, roughed up stallion. His coat was a rusty red in color while his mane and mustache were a light-grey. He was attired in a standard sergeant’s uniform, however he sported a large golden badge on his shoulder that indicated a higher rank. His left eye was covered by a eye patch, leaving the corners of what possibly was a massive scar visible. “Your highnesses.” The stallion said, giving a respectful bow. “I am Sergeant Onix Star. I have recently arrived from the Fillypines. If I am understanding correctly, you requested my assistance in solving a grave matter.” “Yes, we have. I’m glad you answered our call, sergeant.” “I overheard something about giant creatures in your conversation. I believe I do have a solution to your problem.” Celestia and Luna looked at each other before turning to Onix Star. “What does thou have in mind?” Luna asked. Onix’s horn wrapped itself in a crimson aura as it projected a magical screen bordered by red energy. The screen showed several engineers and scientists working on what looked like a missile of some sort. Celestia wore a uneasy expression on her face as she watched the projected screen. “Just last night, a giant monster attacked the Fillypines. It took out a good portion of the land before it turned tail and ran off. We tried to pursue it, but the beast just disappeared on us. I came up with the idea to create a weapon powerful enough to send the beast into oblivion in the event it shows it’s ugly bug face again.” Onix explained. “Wait, was this a multi-limbed creature?” Celestia asked. “Yes, ma’am.” Onix replied. “Great Faust... Equestria is in imminent danger. If the MUTO had besieged the Fillypines, it could very well target other cities. Sergeant, I want you to ensure your weapon continues developing. We shall keep watch in case the MUTO resurfaces.” Celestia ordered. “Yes, ma’am! I’m on it.” Onix said as he saluted the diarchs and walked off. “I dost not trust that stallion. Something’s off about him.” Luna said once she was sure Onix was out of range. “I have a strange feeling about him too, but right now we have little choice. It is best if we keep an eye on Onix Star for the time being.” Celestia said, walking out of the room. Chapter 7“You can’t teach a dog a trick it already knows” It was mid-day in Ponyville. Fluttershy trotted up a hill with Godzilla riding on her back. She had carried a basket filled with a assortment of fruits and vegetables. Twilight and the others were already set up with a picnic table settled on the hill’s peak. “Fluttershy, darling, you’ve made it. We were just about to begin eating.” Rarity said. “Oh, really? I was afraid we were going to be late. Godzilla got in the chicken coop again, so I had to bring him out. He’s been doing that for a while now. I thought the chickens would be terrified of him, but I was surprised that the chickens don’t mind him at all. One morning, I found several of my normally irrate hens huddled right on top of Godzilla without any hint of hostility. I don’t know how, but apparently Godzilla’s very good at making friends with everyone.” Fluttershy replied with a giggle. “Aww, that’s so cute!” Twilight said. “It must be fun living with that lil’ cutie! He’s so cute, I just wanna eat him up!” Pinkie exclaimed, pulling Godzilla in a hug. “Fluttershy, Ah gotta ask ya.... What are ya gonna do when Godzilla gets bigger?” Applejack asked. “Yeah, he’s not gonna stay tiny and adorable forever.” Rainbow added. “I never really thought of that.... I don’t really know.” Fluttershy admitted. “Don’t worry about that, Fluttershy. We’ll help you come up with a solution once we cross that bridge, right girls?” Twilight said. Everyone nodded in agreement. As Godzilla plopped down on the grass to relax, a butterfly had fluttered right over his snout. His attention locked on the airborne insect, Godzilla began running after the butterfly. “Hey, he’s running off!” Spike exclaimed. “Godzilla, no! Come back!” Fluttershy exclaimed. The main 6 and Spike immediately ditched the table and ran after Godzilla. They all stopped when the little reptile had begun climbing onto a tree, crawling towards the butterfly. He managed to climb onto a fickle branch that was suspended above a huge lake. “Get down from there! You’re going to hurt yourself!!” Twilight exclaimed. Godzilla continued inching towards the butterfly, crawling to the edge of the branch. The insect flew off, leaving Godzilla to growl in frustration at failing to catch it. Without warning, the branch gave way and snapped, causing Godzilla to plummet into the lake. “NO!” Fluttershy yelled, gasping in horror as Godzilla sunk beneath the surface. For a few long and terrifying moments, everything went still. Until Godzilla casually swam towards the surface with the grace of a baby dolphin. He effortlessly swam in the water with surprising speed, chasing after a school of tiny fish. Fluttershy held a hoof to her chest as she exhaled with relief. “Sweet Celestia..... Godzilla can swim!” Fluttershy exclaimed. Everyone watched as Godzilla bounded playfully in the water. “Look at him go!” Rainbow said. Godzilla swam back to shore, completely soaked. Fluttershy ran up to him and embraced the reptile in her arms. “Don’t scare me like that ever again! You could’ve gotten seriously hurt!” Fluttershy scolded. Godzilla responded to her scolding by shaking his body like a dog, flinging a downpour of freezing-cold droplets of water everywhere. Fluttershy laughed as she held out her hooves to block the water shower from hitting her face. She just couldn’t stay mad at the little saurian. *** The afternoon sun began its slow descent from the sky, casting a bright orange-yellow glow on Equestria. After checking on the animals for the last time today, Fluttershy decided to call it a day and walked inside the house with a tired huff. She noticed Godzilla was uttering a adorable baby version of a growl while pawing at something hiding behind a chair. “What’s the matter, sweetie?” Fluttershy asked, following Godzilla’s gaze. A crab had somehow made its way inside the cottage, creating a stir amongst the animals living inside. The orange-red crustacean would raise it’s pincers and snap at Godzilla every time he got to close. The crab finally had enough and scurried off to escape the little lizard, only for Godzilla to pin it to the floor with his foot. Godzilla’s tiny dorsal plates flickered with blue light as he opened his jaws with a high-pitched snarl. Instead of a stream of nuclear fire, Godzilla coughed out several clouds of blue steam. Fluttershy just giggled and picked up the crab, gently setting it outside. Godzilla seemed to get upset at Fluttershy for letting his “prey” go free and began to throw a fit by uttering several loud shrieks of dismay while flopping belly-first on the floor. It was absolutely adorable. His cries were cut off when Fluttershy picked him up and began to slowly cradle him in her arms. She sat on the sofa, singing a sweet lullaby to Godzilla in a soft tone. Before long, the lullaby had lulled the cantankerous lizard to sleep. “You are my world, Godzilla. I love you...” Fluttershy whispered soothingly. Chapter 8A child no more Several years have passed. Much has changed since Godzilla’s birth. In fact, he was no longer the tiny infant who loved sleeping on the sofa, cuddling with the hens, and rough-housing with the bear cub that occasionally visted their home with his mother. He has grown tremendously in size and maturity. While Godzilla had a ways to go before he can grow into a colossal mountain-sized titan, he was now roughly the same size as a adult dragon. At this point, his dorsal spines had significantly grown, though they still weren’t fully developed. Godzilla was laying on a hill near Fluttershy’s cottage, basking in the morning sun. For the mighty alpha predator of Equestria, Godzilla can be incredibly lazy, especially in the morning. He opened his eyes upon hearing the familiar creak of the cottage’s wooden door, craning his head to watch Fluttershy walk out. Fluttershy approached Godzilla with a smile on her face. “Good morning, sweetheart. Did you sleep well?” Fluttershy asked. Godzilla responded with a snort and several low-pitched grunts. “Oh, really? Well, you seem to be enjoying this spot a little too much.” Fluttershy said with a chuckle, giving her adoptive “son” a hug (or what would count as a hug since she can’t embrace him anymore due to his huge size). “I’m going off to the Everfree forest to find some berries for Angel. You’re in charge until I get back. I love you!” Fluttershy said as she spread her wings and flew off with a basket in tow. Godzilla snorted, lulling himself back to sleep. *** Onyx Star sat in a chair, drinking a hot cup of coffee while reading a newspaper. Before long he came across a article that read “Giant lizard spotted near Ponyville”. He spat out his coffee, reading the article a second time to confirm it’s validity. “Dear Faust! We got more monsters running about?! And this one’s smack-dab in a unprotected town!” Onix exclaimed, getting up. He ran towards a huge pair of doors, kicking them open and running into the lab. “Boys! We got a mighty big situation down in Ponyville! I just got word a giant reptile made landfall near that poor town. Are the missiles ready?” Onix asked. “We’re almost ready, sir. But we need more time.” One engineer replied. “Keep workin’ hard! We gotta get these weapons ready before any monster can start rampaging!” Onix said. He walked out of the room, storming towards his quarters. Lying on a large wooden desk was a huge cluster of papers waiting to be looked upon. He threw them all aside, picking up a dusty, wrinkled up paper that looked like it was manufanctured in the 1930s. A grainy picture loosely depicting a giant reptillian creature was scribbled onto the paper. It was faded and most of the details weren’t elegible, but Onix knew what the portrait was depicting. “In all my years as a sergeant, I always dreamed of taking down monsters as big as this. Imagine when I bring the head of a Gojirasaur to Canterlot. I’ll be famous! Everyone will finally deem me a important and beloved hero! And Princess Celestia.... she’ll promote me for sure. My dream of building nuclear weapons will become a reality once I successfully test these weapons out.” Onix said, laughing to himself. *** Godzilla yawned sluggishly as he opened his eyes again, lifting his head to smell the fresh air. Fluttershy had been gone for an hour, and that brought concern to Godzilla. He began to think of terrible situations Fluttershy could be stuck in and let out a high-pitched whine, worry and helplessness draping over him like a patch of thorns. Was she okay? Godzilla immediately chased away the unpleasant thoughts. Fluttershy was fine. The huge reptile stood up from his prone position, opening his jaws wide to let out a big yawn. Maybe a nice stroll around town would clear his mind of the bad thoughts. After all, Fluttershy always felt more energetic after taking walks in the forest. Chapter 9Look all around you and see; Deep in the forest, there dragons will be Fluttershy walked down the gravel road that separated both sides of the forest, watching a couple of birds flying past her. She began whistling a little tune, scanning the expanse of trees and bushes in front of her. After a couple of minutes, she came across a wall of bushes filled to the brim with berries of a variety of colors. Fluttershy began picking the berries she knew were good to pick, dropping them into the basket. After a few moments, the basket was heavy with a large assortment of berries. “Angel’s going to be so excited when I bring him his favorite berries!” Fluttershy said to herself. She noticed a ferret hiding under a small bush. “Hi, little fella. What’s got you all spooked?” Fluttershy asked. The ferret pointed a shaky paw in the direction behind her before turning tail and running off. Fluttershy was about to say something when the trees behind her rustled in a unnatural motion. She froze in place, a sudden pang of fear striking her. “GRRRRRRRRRRR.....” Fluttershy didn’t want to turn around after hearing that growl. Her danger signals were blaring loudly. But a part of her wanted to see what was behind her. With curiosity controlling her body, Fluttershy turned around to see three massive dragons glaring down on her. The leader of the trio, a crimson and beige dragon bearing gruesome scars on his face, approached the frozen Fluttershy and snarled. “What are you doing in OUR forest, pony?!” The dragon demanded. Fluttershy could barely speak from the terror she felt. “I... I was just.... picking b-b-berries....” Fluttershy muttered quietly. The dragon uttered another growl. “Do you know what we dragons do to little ponies who venture into our territory?” The dragon asked. Fluttershy really didn’t want to answer that. “WE KILL THEM!!!” The dragon roared, lunging at Fluttershy. She screamed and dodged the dragon’s jaws, bolting towards a opening. The three dragons chased after Fluttershy, snorting smoke out of their nostrils. Fluttershy began panicking, turning to see the winged fire-breathing reptiles hot on her tail. She shrieked, trying desperately to increase her speed. *** Godzilla strolled around Ponyville, snooping around all the shops and buildings. He tried his very best to tread carefully around the town, making delicate steps while making sure to avoid stepping on a pony. The sounds of equines chatting with one other felt all too familiar to him now. He had really come to enjoy it. Godzilla noticed Pinkie Pie bouncing around with a sack of items that he couldn’t easily recognize. The pink Earth pony took notice of the 35-ft tall reptile and leaped onto his head in a bizarre performance of acrobatics. “Hi, big guy! You must be really bored walking around here. I bet you’re looking for something fun to do..... Wait, I know!” Pinkie said, pulling out a party cannon. She fired a harmless cloud of confetti on Godzilla’s face, causing his eyes to well up with tears. His nostrils scrunched up upon feeling the rainbow-colored specks of paper and took in several deep breaths before letting forth a massive sneeze that blew Pinkie backwards. Godzilla suddenly lifted his head in the air, catching a very strange scent. He left Pinkie to pick up her things, leaving the town. “Kay, bye then! I hope you’re not bored anymore!” Pinkie called out to the saurian, though Godzilla didn’t pay attention and kept walking. He followed the scent to the Everfree forest, a growl escaping his jaws upon reaching the forest. There was something off about this place, but Godzilla couldn’t place a claw on it. He was about to turn back when the familiar high-pitched shriek of Fluttershy rang in his eardrums. Godzilla turned back to the forest, listening to his parent’s cries of terror. Immediately he charged into the forest, forgetting about the strange scent. *** “PLEASE, DON’T KILL ME! I’M SORRY I TRESPASSED, I DIDN’T REALIZE THIS WAS YOUR TERRITORY!” Fluttershy screamed in terror. The dragons kept snapping their jaws at her, ignoring her pleas. Fluttershy skidded to a halt upon reaching a massive wall, gasping in shock. She had just hit a dead end. Turning to face the dragons, she felt her life flash before her eyes. As the reptiles closed in on her, she then began to think of Godzilla. She imagined how devastated he would be when she didn’t return home. “I’m so sorry....” Fluttershy sobbed, closing her eyes and awaiting death. “SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGKKKKKKKK!!!!!!” Fluttershy’s eyes shot open as she heard that roar. Before anyone could react, Godzilla smashed through the trees and rammed the dragons, throwing them onto the ground. The lead dragon snarled as he got back up on his feet. Godzilla stood in front of Fluttershy, bearing his sharp teeth while snarling viciously. He was not happy at all. Chapter 10The Fight “What is that thing? Is it a dragon?!” Exclaimed a skinny lime-green dragon. “I don’t know! I never seen a dragon like this one before!” Went a grizzly earth dragon the color of mud. “What’s you deal, pal?! We’re just trying to get some food! Buzz off before we pummel you to mush!” The red dragon growled. However, Godzilla ignored the threat and charged at the trio, sinking his teeth into the green dragon. The dragon roared as he struck Godzilla in the face with his talons, forcing the saurian to release his grip on him. The earth dragon roared and tackled Godzilla and sunk his own fangs in the reptile’s neck. Godzilla snarled painfully as he swung his body around, managing to throw the winged reptile off. He turned to the red dragon, another roar escaping his jaws. “SKREEEEEEOOOOOOONNNNGGGGKKKK!!!!” Godzilla roared. The red dragon charged Godzilla, grappling with the enraged saurian. With a roar of his own, the dragon raked his talons on Godzilla’s neck, opening multiple bloody wounds. Godzilla clawed the dragon in the face and shoved him on the ground, clamping his jaws on the beast’s neck. He began ripping at the dragon, earning trails of crimson dripping from the winged lizard’s neck. The other two dragons jumped on Godzilla, slashing viciously at him with their claws. The red dragon managed to right himself, clawing Godzilla in the face and leaving a nasty gash in it. The three dragons all bombarded Godzilla with a flurry of slashing and biting, desperately trying to bring him down. Fluttershy hid between two bushes, watching the fight with tears in her eyes as she helplessly watched her beloved child continually sustain more and more gruesome injuries. Godzilla roared, ignoring the agonizing pain as he grabbed the green dragon in his jaws and slashed his underbelly. With a pained shriek, the green dragon gasped as he was brutally smashed into the ground. The other two kept clawing at his back and sides, opening even more bloody wounds. Godzilla roared in anger and pain, desperately trying to kick them off. He finally managed to throw the two beasts off him, roaring loudly. Godzilla snapped his jaws at the brown dragon, but the beast dodged in time and smashed the thagomizer at the end of his tail into Godzilla’s face. The saurian screeched painfully as he fell towards the ground, his vision clouded with stars. The red dragon pounced on Godzilla once more, this time stabbing his talons into the reptile’s gills. Godzilla shrieked as he made a violent jerk to the left, throwing the dragon off him. With the side of his neck soaked in blood, Godzilla coughed up mouthfuls of crimson before suddenly becoming disoriented from the blood loss. Godzilla snarled as he stood in front of Fluttershy with determination. He wasn’t going to back down now. Godzilla had to keep himself in between the dragons and Fluttershy if he wanted his adoptive mother was going to live through this. The green and brown dragons charged him again, but Godzilla managed to snap out of his daze in time and swing his tail, knocking the two reptiles off their feet. Godzilla stomped on the green dragon’s head and crushed his skull while clamping his jaws on the brown dragon. With a jerk, Godzilla snapped the dragon’s neck, instantly ending the beast’s life. Dropping the limp body, Godzilla snarled as he faced the red dragon. “You... you killed my pack mates! DIE!!!!” The red dragon roared. He tackled Godzilla and threw him on the ground, causing the two equally sized beasts to roll downhill. Fluttershy followed close behind, her eyes widening as she realized the two were inadvertently bringing the fight to Ponyville. “I have to warn Twilight!!” Fluttershy said, sprinting to Twilight’s castle. *** Godzilla and the dragon rolled straight into the middle of Ponyville’s streets, sending the citizens in a frenzied panic. Godzilla pinned the red dragon down, clamping his jaws on his throat. The dragon freed one of his clawed hands and struck Godzilla in the chest, leaving a massive bloody gash behind. Blood gushed out from the wound, but Godzilla ignored the pain. He increased his jaws’ pressure on the dragon’s throat, forcing the winged reptile to cry out in pain. Twilight and the rest of the Main 6 ran to the center of town just in time to witness Godzilla rip a massive chunk of flesh from the dragon’s throat. The red dragon screeched in agony as blood gushed out of the opened wound. With a snarl, Godzilla bit the dragon’s skull and crushed it, finally killing the beast. “Godzilla fought a dragon and I MISSED IT?!” Rainbow exclaimed. Without warning, a streamlined projectile of magic hit Godzilla in the torso, causing the saurian to shriek in pain. “NO!!” Fluttershy yelled. She and the others turned to watch Onix Star and several armed soldiers charged at Godzilla. “We got ‘im, boys! Hit ‘im again!” Onix commanded, several soldiers firing a blast of magic at Godzilla once more. The projectiles smashed into his gills, further damaging the already mangled left side of his neck. Godzilla shrieked with agony, the force of the blast’s impact knocking him into a cake shop. Onix Star’s soldiers fired another discharge of magic, but Twilight summoned her own energy blast and dispelled their projectile. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?” Twilight screamed. “Ma’am, you’re interfering with military business. Step aside and let us do our job.” Onix roughly replied, pushing past Twilight. Fluttershy ran to the heavily injured Godzilla, breaking into sobs upon seeing the plethora of terribly gruesome injuries splattered all over his body. “It’s okay, baby.... You’re going to be okay, alright? Mommy is going to take care of you...” Fluttershy sobbed, trying her best to comfort her hurting child. Onix and the other soldiers circled around Godzilla, preparing another discharge of magic. “LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!” Fluttershy suddenly screamed, standing in front of Godzilla protectively. “Ma’am, stand out of the way right now. I won’t be responsible for whatever happens next.” Onix said, his voice laced with a darkening tone. Fluttershy shook her head and stayed put, leanimg on the saurian. Godzilla snarled and found the strength to get up, roaring furiously at the soldiers. Fluttershy turned to the reptile with a fearful expression. “Run, Godzilla! Run!” Fluttershy exclaimed. Godzilla hesitated at first. He wanted to stay and fight, but then Fluttershy would probably get hurt if he retaliated. Godzilla growled and ran off, heading towards the nearby beach. “We got ‘im on the run! Whip out the missiles!” Onix commanded. Two large missile container drove into view, following the direction Godzilla travelled. “NO! NO, NO NO! YOU CAN’T DO THIS!!!” Fluttershy screamed, trying to hold off Onix. The stallion shoved her off harshly, casting a dark look at her. “You keep your hands off me, woman. You and your friends got no say in this matter! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a lizard to fry.” Onix said. He and his soldiers dogged Godzilla to the nearby beach, gaining up on the reptile’s tail. Godzilla snorted as he jumped in the ocean and began swimming away in a attempt to escape the army. “FIRE!!!” Onix yelled. One of the containers opened up and activated the missile, sending it flying towards Godzilla. The very second Godzilla dived into the ocean, the missile smashed into the very same spot and erupted in a enormous explosion that travelled for several miles while decimating any trees, homes, and other buildings in range before dissipating. Fluttershy finally made it to the beach, watching the mushroom cloud disappear. She stared at the water’s edge, praying Godzilla swam out of range. But after five long minutes, Godzilla failed to resurface. Fluttershy dropped to her knees, her body racking with violent sobs. “MY BABY....!!!!” Fluttershy cried. Twilight and the others arrived at the beach, spotting Fluttershy sprawled on the ground bawling her eyes out. Rarity and Applejack rushed to comfort her while Twilight, Rainbow, and Pinkie faced Onix and his soldiers. “Good work, men! We brought ‘im down!” Onix said. Twilight’s horn glowed as she encased Onix in a purple aura and forcibly held him to the ground. “HEY, LET ME GO! I JUST SAVED YOUR REARS FROM A VIOLENT MONSTER!” Onix yelled. “YOU DID NO SUCH THING!!! THAT MONSTER HAD SAVED MY FRIEND’S LIFE!!!” Twilight angrily screamed. “Wait until Princess Celestia hears about this!” Onix exclaimed. At that moment, Princess Celestia arrived on the beach, followed by several Canterlot guards. If looks could kill, Celestia would have murdered Onix with the absolutely livid expression on her face. “Let him go, Twilight.” Celestia said in a stern tone. Twilight did as she was told, releasing her grip on Onix. “Ha! You’re in trouble now-“ Onix yelped in surprise as Celestia used her own magic to pin the stallion on the ground. “I explicitly ordered you to track only the MUTO and nothing else. I never gave you orders to hunt down and attack the young Gojirasaur! You defied my orders and went out of your way to kill a innocent creature just for the sake of testing your weapons!!” Celestia angrily berated. She released her hold on Onix and shot a deathly glare at him. “Onix, you and your men will be immediately demoted to the lowest ranking possible and serve six years in prison. I want your remaining missile transported to my castle for immediate demolition. I’m shutting your operation down and when I have the time, I shall report your misdemeanor to your superiors in Fillydelphia.” Celestia ordered. “W-What? You’re.... shutting me down? I just saved Ponyville from destruction!” “You didn’t save anyone from destruction. In fact, your weapons added to the destruction. Several houses and business have been reduced to rubble and my soldiers have just reported nearly ten casualties. You have committed third degree murder upon using these weapons near civilization! Take them away now.” Celestia said. “No, wait!” Onix pleaded, only to have Celestia’s guards grab the stallion and his soldiers, dragging them away to prison. “NOOOO!!! I WORKED ON THIS PROJECT FOR YEARS!!! YOU CAN’T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME!!!! I WAS GOING TO BE FAMOUS!!!! YOU’LL PAY, CELESTIA!!! YOU AND YOUR PATHETIC STUDENT!!! YOU’LL ALL PAY!!!!” Onix angrily screamed as he was dragged off. Celestia and her assorted guards began walking off when one of the armed stallions took out a compass-like tracker device, his eyes widening in surprise at what he saw. “Your Highness, there’s a energy signal heading our direction. It’s travelling fast...!” The guard said. “What?” Celestia asked. The device now began beeping at a rapid pace. “Princess... it’s right on top of us!” The guard said. “KREEEEEEERRRRRRKKK” Everypony, including Fluttershy, turned their gazes to the sky right as a giant winged multi-limbed beast flew overhead, flapping its wings with vigor. It looked just like the MUTO whom murdered Godzilla’s parents, only it was slightly smaller in size and sported a pair of massive wings. “That is one big bird!” Pinkie exclaimed. The winged MUTO landed on the ground, forcing everypony to scatter as it touched down. The MUTO let out a snarl, turning to the remaining missile container. Sensing the delicious energy it gave off, the MUTO ripped the container open and grabbed the missile with it’s jaws, taking off into the sky. “That thing’s getting away with the missile! I’ll stop it!” Rainbow said, taking off into the air. She didn’t get very far when Applejack caught the cyan pegasus by her tail. “What ‘n tarnation, Rainbow?! Ya can’t fight a giant monster!” Applejack yelled. “Whaddya mean? I totally could kick that beastie’s butt!” Rainbow replied. But she was quickly overpowered by the orange Earth pony, getting slammed back on the ground. “Ah, come on!” Rainbow huffed, crossing her arms in a pout. “Guys, given the direction of the flying MUTO, it’s heading straight towards Manehattan!” Twilight exclaimed. “Girls, I realize the task I am about to assign to you is dangerous, but I need you all to head to Manehattan and stall the beast until I arrive. I will meet you there in due time.” Celestia said, flying off. “You heard Princess Celestia. We have a mission to complete, so let’s get it done!” Twilight said. Twilight and the others took off towards the train station, but she suddenly halted and turned around, looking at a downtrodden Fluttershy. “Fluttershy, come on. We can’t do this without you.” Twilight said. Fluttershy let out a sniffle as she got up and wiped a tear from her eyes. “Alright, I’m... I’m coming...” Fluttershy said. She took one last glance at the ocean, sighing as she followed Twilight to the train station. Chapter 11The King returns Manehattan was one of the largest cities ever built in Equestria. Manehattan was littered with skyscrapers standing almost as tall as Celestia’s castle and a surplus population of two million ponies. About three ago, Princess Celestia had successfully ordered a evacuation of the city in hopes they would flee before the MUTO arrives. Manehattan was a brilliant city now, but in just a few moments it will become a kaiju battleground. Flying over the great city, the winged MUTO uttered a series of chilling clicks that reverberated off the glass windows of several buildings. It landed on a tall flat-roofed skyscraper with little care, dropping it’s precious cargo on the cement. “KREEEERRK! KREEEERK! KREEEEERRRRGH!” The MUTO shrieked. Its screech may have sounded like a standard growl or roar, but it was no ordinary sound. This was a male MUTO’s mating call. The MUTO stood silently, awaiting a response. If his mate was anywhere nearby, she’d hear his call. “KREEEEEEERRRKKK” The MUTO turned his head to the faint sound. It was a response to his call. His mate was definitely close by. The male picked up the missile and flew down, landing before a cloud of dust that covered half of the city. Clearly, something already demolished this side of Manehattan. The male MUTO called out to his mate, watching as the much larger wingless female MUTO steadily approached him. The two beasts affectionately nuzzled each other before the male handed the missile to the female. The female chirped as she crawled back into a massive hole in the streets that led to her nest. *** The train arrived at the Manehattan station, skidding to a complete stop. The doors popped open, allowing the Main 6 to depart. “Guys, look over there!” Rainbow exclaimed, pointing to the mountain of smoke fuming over several buildings. “Ah highly suggest we get goin’ before that dust cloud starts gettin’ bigger!” Applejack stated. “I don’t know, what if all that dust gets in my mane? I just groomed it this morning.” Rarity said. She yelped when Rainbow dragged the white unicorn by her hoof towards the city. “Don’t be such a wuss!” Rainbow said with a smile. Before long, the Main 6 arrived at the heart of Manehatten. It was worse than what they imagined. Buildings were decimated, the streets were torn asunder, the mangled remains of chariots were strewn all over the ground. It looked like a meteor had crash-landed in this side of the city and wiped it out. Suddenly, the male MUTO flew into sight, perching on a half-torn building. As soon as the winged beast took notice of the multi-colored equines, he let out a piercing shriek and dived towards them. “LOOK OUT!!!” Twilight yelled. The group jumped out of the way as the male swiped his hooked arms at them in annoyance. Rainbow took to the air, a smirk on her face as she bolted towards the kaiju. “I got this!” Rainbow said, shooting through the sky as she zoomed straight towards the MUTO. She swung her hind hooves and bucked the MUTO in the face, causing him to roar in irritation. The MUTO snapped his jaws at Rainbow as he chased her in mid-air, catching up to the pegasus with every wingbeat. “Yipe!” Rainbow yelped as she dodged another snap from the MUTO. “This guy’s fast for a giant monster!” Suddenly, a stream of golden magic blasted the MUTO near his torso, sending him flying into a building. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna had finally entered the battlefield, repeatedly firing concentrated beams of magic at the MUTO. The MUTO roared furiously as he got himself airborne, soaring towards the diarchs with hooked claws at the ready. the two alicorns dodged a furious set of claw swipes while relentlessly shooting at the kaiju. “This vile beast is harder to slay than I imagined.” Luna stated. “Keep attacking it! We’ll eventually exploit it’s weak spot!” Celestia exclaimed, leading the male MUTO away from the others. *** With Luna and Celestia holding off the male MUTO, Twilight and the others had to worry about the female MUTO guarding the nest. The multi-limbed behemoth climbed out of her nest to face the invaders, snarling angrily. Twilight activated her horn’s magic, standing firm in place. “We are going to make our stand here! The fate of Equestria is in our hands!” Twilight yelled. The female MUTO lowered her head and roared, opening her wicked jaws to devour the equines. Unexpectedly, she immediately stopped mid-attack and turned her gaze skywards. “What in the hay is she looking at? We’re right he-“ “SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGK!!!” Upon hearing that ungodly earth-shaking roar, Fluttershy’s eyes widened with surprise. She followed the female MUTO’s gaze, gasping in shock at the sight before her. Godzilla rose out of the ocean, towering over the tallest skyscraper in the city. The kaiju had somehow managed to reach adulthood and was now dwarfing everything with his monstrous size. Twilight and the others couldn’t help but shout with overwhelming joy. Fluttershy herself barely held back her excitement, tears of joy running down her face as Godzilla entered the battlefield. Godzilla uttered another roar, switching from walking to running as he charged the female MUTO, whom proceeded to do the same. Chapter 12Confrontation (Part 1) Godzilla collided into the female MUTO, clamping his jaws onto her shoulder as he shoved her back. Both titans tried to push each other away, though the MUTO quickly found herself sliding backwards. With a roar, Godzilla pushed back the MUTO, throwing her onto the ground. He lifted his clawed sauropod-like feet and stomped the MUTO in her face, repeating the assault over and over relentlessly. The MUTO flung her arms around, desperate to strike a lucky blow at Godzilla. And she actually did. Striking the colossal saurian in the face, the MUTO managed to daze him long enough to knock him off her. Roaring angrily, the MUTO rammed Godzilla in the gut and smashed him into a building, toppling it over on him. Godzilla threw off the rubble and stood back up, charging the female like a enraged bull. Godzilla grabbed hold of the MUTO and chomped down on the MUTO’s neck with force. The old wound inflicted by Godzilla’s mother had reopened thanks to Godzilla, giving the multi-limbed behemoth a terrible stinging sensation. The MUTO began screeching out in pain as she struggled to break free. Godzilla ripped into the behemoth’s neck further, earning a gushing river of blue-green blood to flow out. With a mighty heave, Godzilla picked up the MUTO and launched her into a toppled building. Chunks of debris flew everywhere, some pieces had stabbed into the MUTO like tiny knives. Godzilla had begun to advance towards the momentarily disoriented female MUTO when the male grabbed hold of the saurian by the neck and pulled him back, throwing Godzilla on the ground. Godzilla roared and stood up, only for the male MUTO to knock him down again. *** While Godzilla fought off the MUTOs, Twilight and the others ventured into the now unprotected MUTO nest. She led the group down a makeshift set of steps, reaching the bottom of the artificial cavern in no time. Inside of the cavernous den, debris was strewn all over with out care. In addition to the wretched stench, there was a ungodly amount of mucus and saliva dripping from pretty much everywhere the equines can see. “My goodness, it’s absolutely repulsive in here! How could any creature have such degrading tastes in lifestyle?!” Rarity bursted out in disgust, trying her hardest not to add her vomit to the disgusting decor. “That’s nature for ya, sugarcube.” Applejack retorted, ducking under a overhang of slime. Upon approaching the heart of the lair, the Main 6 gasped at what they saw: Thousands upon thousands of tiny pulsating amber-orange eggs glued to the walls like oozing, slime-covered sticky notes. The majority of the clutch was plastered to a giant spiral of rock standing in the dead-center of the den. “This must be the MUTOs’ nest.” Twilight observed. “Look at all those eggs. I bet they don’t taste very good, though.” Pinkie said. Twilight noticed something lying near the spiral that gave off a unnatural shine. She trotted over to the object, swiping away a clump of slime. “Girls, it’s the missile!” Twilight exclaimed. Suddenly, the den trembled violently as chunks of rock dropped from the roof. Twilight and the others looked up with worried expressions. “That came from outside.” Applejack stated. “Oh dear.... I truly hope Godzilla is alright...” Rarity said. *** “SKREEEEEEEEEOOOOOONNNNNNGGGK!” Godzilla roared as he snapped his jaws at the male MUTO in agitation. The winged beast flew out of range, diving at the saurian and striking him with his hooked claws. Godzilla managed to bite down on the male MUTO’s left leg and made a attempt to drag him down. The effort failed when the female MUTO rammed Godzilla a second time, sinking her fangs into his upper flank. Godzilla screeched as he was shoved onto the ground with both MUTOs relentlessly bombarding him with attack after attack. Godzilla shoved the two beasts aside long enough to get up, snarling with fury. He charged at the female MUTO, grappling her with his clawed hands and throwing her onto the ground. The female swung her arm and struck his gills, forcing the saurian to back off. The male MUTO grabbed hold of Godzilla, biting his neck while stabbing his hooks into the saurian’s gills even more. Godzilla screeched even louder, feeling trails of crimson leaking out from newly opened wounds. The female MUTO joined in the assault, stabbing Godzilla in the torso and back while she clamped her jaws on the reptile’s throat. The two beasts threw the colossal reptile on the ground once again and began hammering Godzilla like there was no tomorrow. *** Twilight wrapped the missile in a light-purple aura, levitating it over her head. “We can’t let this missile stay here with all these eggs. The adult MUTOs clearly intended their offspring to consume the radiation stored in the missile. Alright, let’s go.” Twilight said. She and the others trotted back towards the entrance they came from with the highly dangerous weapon in tow. Fluttershy turned around, looking back at the clutch. She realized if the nest wasn’t destroyed, Equestria would be plagued with hundreds, if not thousands of MUTOs. She suddenly felt a pang of guilt splash over her. How could she even think of hurting cute and innocent creatures? But, then again.... MUTOs weren’t cute. And they definitely aren’t innocent. “Pinkie, do you still have your matches?” Fluttershy asked. “Sure, I do. After all, I can’t light my party cannons with cotton balls!” Pinkie replied, taking out a match. “Wait, why do you need a match again?” “As horrible as it may sound, we can’t let these eggs hatch.... I’m going to destroy the nest.” Fluttershy replied. Twilight looked at the Element of Kindness, nodding her head in agreement while smiling. “Fluttershy, I hope you realize you’ve made the most bravest decision anyone could make. Do what you need to do.” Twilight said. Fluttershy returned the smile before turning to the eggs. “Hey, I can make great descisions too!” Rainbow exclaimed. Twilight rolled her eyes in a playful manner. “Okay, I never seen anypony, besides Rainbow Dash, make good quick-thinking decisions.” Twilight repeated with a laugh. She turned her gaze back to Fluttershy. “Be careful, Fluttershy.” Twilight said. She and the others ran out of the den, leaving Fluttershy to destroy it. She found a large container of oil and popped the hood open, letting the black flammable liquid spill. She lit the match, stealing one last glance at the eggs. “I’m so sorry....” Fluttershy whispered. She dropped the flaming match inside the oil spill and ran out of the den as quickly as possible. *** The MUTOs relentlessly bombarded Godzilla with blow after blow, screeching with glee at his agony. The female MUTO raised her hooked arm to strike Godzilla once more, only to have the defeaning roar of an explosion force her to halt. She quickly whipped around, a expression of horror on her ugly bug-like face upon seeing her nest on fire. The two MUTOs completely forgot about Godzilla as they rushed to their nest to investigate what had happened. They could clearly see that their den was reduced to nothing but dust and charred remains. The female MUTO began digging into her former nest, screeching in horror at the ungodly amount of devastation present. Every single egg inside was burnt to a crisp. Nothing survived the explosion. The would-be mother loudly cried out for her fallen children even though she still attempted to uproot any surviving eggs. Twilight and the others quietly snuck away from the nest, deliberately walking slowly to avoid making any noise. “If we’re quiet and sneak past her, we’ll be just fine...” Twilight whispered. Pinkie instantly tripped on her hooves and fell over, landing on a pouch she had been carrying. It made a incredibly loud squeaking noise that caught the female MUTO’s attention. “PINKIE!!!” Everypony screamed. “Oh, look! My... Uh, my rubber ducky... I forgoy it was in there! Heheheh.... Whoops....” Pinkie sheepishly said, taking out a rubber duck. The female MUTO towered over the equines, snarling with rage. She uttered a furious roar, preparing to stomp the Main 6 into mush. But her roar was suddenly drowned out by the loud whirring crescendo of nuclear energy charging up behind her. Everyone turned to see Godzilla rise up from the floor, his dorsal plates suddenly flickering to life with a bright light-blue color. The female MUTO had suddenly began backing off from the saurian as Godzilla puffed out his chest. The female MUTO knew exactly what was about to happen. Godzilla opened his jaws and fired a enormous torrent of blue nuclear flame at the MUTO, sending her sprawling into a building. The MUTO shrieked in agony as the nuclear fire burned through her chest, nearly incinerating it. Everypony stood there, slack-jawed and amazed at the amount of raw power Godzilla was unleashing. Godzilla fired a second atomic blast at the MUTO, pushing the behemoth further back into the building. Chapter 13Confrontation (Part 2) “WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! THAT’S RIGHT!! GODZILLA SHOWED THAT BIG UGLY BUG WHO’S BOSS!” Rainbow exclaimed excitedly. Twilight turned around to see a battered Princess Celestia and Princess Luna approaching the group. “My Faust, what happened?!” Twilight exclaimed. “The winged beast managed to get the upperhand and give us a sound beating before pursuing Godzilla.” Luna replied. “Fortunately, we sustained nothing more than several large bruises. We were very lucky.” Celestia added. She immediately took notice of the missile in the Main 6’s grasp. “You recovered the missile?” Celestia asked. “Yes, we did. We also found the MUTOs’ nest. We discovered that the missile was going to become a food source for their hatchlings. But thanks to Fluttershy, the nest was destroyed.” Twilight answered. “Thou were very brave to do such a thing.” Luna said, nodding to Fluttershy. “I don’t mean to rush things, but we still have a highly explosive and possibly armed missile in our possession.” Rarity stated. “Rarity’s right. We need to get rid of this missile immediately!” Twilight said. “Follow us, we know a shortcut to the beach. We’ll drop the missile in the bottom of the ocean where nopony could find it.” Celestia said, leading the group away from the center of the city. *** Godzilla snarled as he glared at the unconscious MUTO. He’s been fighting these multi-limbed bastards for hours. It was time to finish them off. Godzilla stomped towards the downed MUTO, lashing out his tail with fury. Before he could reach her, the male MUTO suddenly grabbed Godzilla and dragged him backwards. Godzilla roared furiously as he swung his claws at the MUTO, the latter flying out of range every time he attacked. The male MUTO dived at Godzilla again, grabbing hold of the saurian’s snout while slashing at it with his hooked forearms. Godzilla managed to clamp his jaws on the MUTO’s right forearm, swinging the beast into several buildings. “KREEEEEEERRRRRRKK!” The male MUTO screeched, finding himself spiraling out of control. He finally managed to balance himself and shrieked, soaring straight towards Godzilla. The colossal saurian tensed up, waiting for his enemy to get close. Godzilla had an idea, but if he was going to pull it off, he had to time it just right. “KREEEEE-“ Godzilla swung his tail right as the male MUTO got into striking distance, smashing him into a huge skyscraper. The immense force of the impact with the building was enough to impale the MUTO’s body with several massive razor-sharp fragments of glass and stone. Fatally wounded from the blow, the MUTO weakly uttered a dying groan before finally going limp. Godzilla growled to himself as he turned to walk off. CRAAAAACK! Godzilla turned around just as the skyscraper fell on top of him. Godzilla uttered a agonizing roar as the building collapsed on top of him. *** The defeaning rumble of tumbling buildings caught the group’s attention, drawing them to turn around to watch the ensuing destruction. Fluttershy caught sight of the building collapsing on top of Godzilla and nearly shrieked. “No! We have to go back for Godzilla! He needs help!” Fluttershy exclaimed, running off. But she was quickly stopped by Applejack. “Fluttershy, it’s too dangerous to go back now! We gotta stick together!” Applejack shouted. “But...” “Sugarcube, listen to me. Godzilla is strong. He fought off three dragons to save yer life, got shot at multiple times, and he even survived gettin’ blown up by a giant missile for Celestia’s sake. He’s gonna be fine. That critter’s tougher than you know, alright?” Applejack said. Fluttershy quietly nodded her head. “Guys, the big MUTO’s up! And she’s really angry!” Rainbow exclaimed. Turning around, the group yelped as the female MUTO roared and charged at them. The two diarchs and the Main 6 made a run for it, heading for the Manehattan docks. The group suddenly skidded to a halt, gasping at the realization the bridge to the docks was blocked off, creating a dead end. “Sweet Celestia, what are we going to do?!” Rarity exclaimed. Everypony turned to face the enraged kaiju, who now loomed over them. “Ewww! Her breath really reeks!” Pinkie exclaimed, holding her nose. The female MUTO snarled and lowered her head, opening her jaws to devour the equines. “I can’t believe this is how we’re gonna die! This bites...” Rainbow exclaimed. Everypony closed their eyes as they prepared to brace themselves. After a few long moments, Twilight slowly opened her eyes. Why aren’t we dead? Everypony else opened their eyes with confusion. The MUTO had just... stopped. Fluttershy looked up at the MUTO, a smile suddenly creeping up on her face. Godzilla had clamped his jaws on the MUTO’s neck, snarling as he pulled her back from the equines. The female MUTO groaned as she tried to break free, only to have Godzilla increase his deathly grip on her. He turned the MUTO around so she was able to face him, grabbing a hold of her jaws. The MUTO began smacking his face out of desperation, but it was not enough to deter the saurian as he forcibly pried the beast’s jaws open. Godzilla charged up his dorsal plates, steam escaping his nostrils as he opened his jaws. With a roar, Godzilla shot a atomic blast down the female MUTO’s throat. The sheer force of the atomic breath caused the MUTO to violently explode from the inside. With a jerk, Godzilla ripped the MUTO’s head off, watching the beast’s flaming body falter to the ground. Godzilla growled, lifting his head to the sky and letting forth a earth-shattering roar of triumph at the heavens. Everypony cheered in victory, wrapping one another in a hug. “What did Ah tell ya, Flutters? Big G’s tougher than you know.” Applejack said. Fluttershy looked up at Godzilla, giving him a wide smile. Godzilla simply nodded at her and tossed the severed head into the water, heading towards the beach. Now his only desire was to take a good nap. Chapter 14Aftermath Godzilla was tiredly slumped over on the warm sea of sand that was the beach, letting steam rise from his nostrils as he slept. Fluttershy was sitting right next to him, watching Celestia and Luna drop the missile in the ocean after they had safely defused it. Fluttershy could finally be at peace knowing a weapon of mass destruction was now sleeping with the fishes. Twilight walked up to Fluttershy, sitting beside the pegasus. “Some day we had, huh?” Twilight said, taking a glance at the slumbering titan lying beside her. Even now the purple alicorn still couldn’t believe this giant hatched from a egg inside Fluttershy’s cottage years ago. “We’ve had worse days.” Fluttershy stated. The two friends broke out in laughter as they stared at the horizon. Godzilla roused from his sleep, uttering something like a grumble. “Oh! Sorry, big guy. I didn’t mean to wake you.” Twilight said. Godzilla snorted, barely registering the alicorn’s words. The two ponies and saurian watched the two diarchs and the rest of the Main 6 approach them. “I want to thank you all on behalf of Equestria for your acts of heroism and bravery. And I do mean all of you.” Celestia said, looking up at Godzilla. “It was nothing, really. And besides, all we really did was steal the missile and wreck a monster’s lair. Big G’s the real hero for pounding the MUTOs to mush.” Rainbow said. “Hold your apple cider, am Ah hearing what Ah think Ah’m hearing? Rainbow Dash is humbling herself?” Applejack asked in a playful tone. “Okay, so I’m not acting like a big show-off for once, so what?” Rainbow prodded. “Oh, nuthin’. Ah’m just surprised, that’s all. Now, let’s hope you start bein’ humble a lot more often, Rainbow.” Applejack replied, smugly grinning. Pinkie whipped out a giant white cannon covered in multi-colored stars from literally nowhere and placed it on the ground. “It wouldn’t be a victory celebration without a party cannon!” Pinkie exclaimed, setting off the cannon. A giant burst of confetti exploded out of the cannon’s nozzle, sending a large number of the tiny multi-colored paper floating onto Godzilla’s snout. He wrinkled his nostrils, suddenly inhaling deep pockets of air as his eyes began watering up. Godzilla opened his jaws in a huff as he inhaled one last time before letting forth a mighty sneeze, blowing out air from his nostrils at hurricane-force winds. Pinkie only had to look up before she was splattered with a sea of snot. “Bless you, darling!” Rarity said. Godzilla rose up on his feet, towering over the trees surrounding the beach. With most of his strength returned and his injuries healed, the colossal reptile headed towards the ocean. Fluttershy waved her hoof in goodbye, watching Godzilla disappear into the watery depths. With the threat taken care of and his job complete, Godzilla sunk into the ocean floor where he could take a good, long nap that would be fit for a king. The End Chapter 15Something has gone wrong. With the welcome embrace of the sun’s rays, Ponyville and the land surrounding it began to warm up. Fluttershy remained sleeping in her bed, tucked comfortably under her blanket. All of a sudden, she felt something jump on top of the bed and pull at the sheets. Opening her eyes, Fluttershy craned her head to the source of the disturbance that was undoubtedly Godzilla. The little reptile was tugging at her blanket, believing the cloth had been a chew toy. Godzilla pulled back on the blanket so hard, he slipped off the bed with the blanket still in his jaws. “Oh, sweet Celestia!” Fluttershy exclaimed, quickly jumping off her bed and rushing to Godzilla. Godzilla just sat there with the blanket draped over his body. He righted himself up and ran out of the room issuing a series of confused garbles while he still had the blanket on top of his face. “Hey! Come back here with my blanket!” Fluttershy said, a laugh escaping her mouth as she chased after Godzilla. She finally caught the rambunctious lizard, wrapping him up in a warm hug. Godzilla returned the loving gesture with a slobbery kiss to the cheek, causing Fluttershy to laugh even harder. She finally put Godzilla down, taking the blanket from his grasp and folding it. She trotted towards the kitchen with a smile on her face, grabbing a couple of buckets from a closet. She filled the first bucket with chicken feed and filled the second with several varieties of fruits and vegetables. Fluttershy walked outside to her backyard, placing one of the buckets on a wooden platform. She began to hand out the chicken feed to her chickens, humming a little tune. She heard the ear-splitting grate of a bucket getting dragged on the ground and turned around, watching Godzilla drag the second bucket by the handle. Fluttershy felt her heart melt at the reptile’s efforts to help her with chores. “Aww, you want to help mommy? You’re so generous.” Fluttershy cooed. What would’ve taken all morning now only took no less than half an hour, thanks to Godzilla’s help (Well, Godzilla tried anyway. He spilled the chicken feed several times while trying to throw the bucket around and It took almost ten minutes for Fluttershy to teach him that the buckets were not toys). Later on, Fluttershy proceeded to clean the cottage. She grabbed a mop and filled another bucket with water, plunging the mop in the bucket to get it soaked. Fluttershy began sweeping the floor, watching streams of water escape the mop’s hairy tendrils and spread itself all over the floor. She stole a quick glance at Godzilla, smiling as she spotted him taking a nap on her sofa. He’s definitely pooped out from the morning chores. After she completed finishing the cleanup, Fluttershy carefully placed a blanket on Godzilla, kissing his forehead before sitting beside the sleeping infant and taking a book from a round table that stood next to the sofa. *** Twilight was reading her encyclopedia, researching the Gojirasaur species. As she turned the pages, there was a certain article that piqued her interest. “I never seen this article before....” Twilight said to herself. She began reading from the text. “Thousands of years ago, during the ancient times of Equestria, the atmosphere was ten times more radioactive than the present day. During that time, several species of gigantic creatures roamed the lands and survived on this energy. The most prominent of these creatures being the Gojirasaurs. During those times, Gojirasaurs could only be described as unstoppable forces of nature. They didn’t have to worry about any threats, except one...” Twilight read. “The pony tribes living at the time described these parasitic beasts as giant multi-limbed monsters. These creatures purposely hunt down and kill Gojirasaurs and then lay multitudes of eggs inside their corpses. There are no official names for this creature, however, our scientists have dubbed the beasts ‘MUTO’, meaning ‘Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism’.” Twilight sat back in her chair, trying to process what she just read. She remembered the corpses of the two adult Gojirasaurs she and Celestia stumbled upon in the Everfree forest. So that’s what killed Godzilla’s parents. “Spike!” Twilight hollered. Spike walked down the stairs, peeking his head from the corner of a wall. “Yeah, Twi?” “I need you to write a letter to Princess Celestia. This is extremely urgent.”
PrologueLost and Found Night descended on Equestria, showering the land in darkness. “Don’t worry, I know a pony who’d love to take care of you.”
Chapter 1Discovery “Today’s going to be a beautiful day, I just know it.” A yellow pegasus said as she walked out of her house and towards the chicken coops arranged in a rectangular position.
By now, Fluttershy should have taken it home.” “I would like to see the infant, if you don’t mind.” “Of course.”
Chapter 4Confession Fluttershy had to admit, taking care of a legendary beast was far from easy.
The End
Chapter 5Blossoming bond The sun rose into the sky, chasing away the darkness of the night.
