Author's Note

Whooooooo! Another chapter!... Gosh I feel like this is rushed, is this rushed? I feel like it is.

Anyways comments are welcomed, feel free to rip me a new one if you need to. Also if you feel tags are missing I'll add/state them in the story.

I'm still open for the next stage! This is really fun to write and I love my character sooooo much. So any suggestions are WELCOME.

Anyways, enjoy

Deserts Yield the Greatest Warriors

Journal Entry- Day 3-7

So, to preface this I was asleep for three days after I landed in the desert, so I don't know what happened during those three days.

So when I woke up, I was confused, lost, and wondering why everypony was standing on two legs. And when I remembered what happened... was happening. I started crying again.

Twilight is gone, she has to be by now. That demon tricked me and now she's probably dead or being forced to love some changeling so they can eat it like she's some kind of farm.

When I woke up after I slept and regained my composure I found myself in a tent and I heard voices outside, one was gruff and demanding the other was... Kinda wimpy.

After a few minutes of them talking... Or yelling in the case of the gruff one, two ponies came in. At least what I think are ponies. They stand on two legs and wear clothing, but most of their features were still pony. They both wore some kind of uniform and strange armor.

After staring at ME for a few moments, the buffer.. I suppose, of the two spoke up.

"What were you doing in the wastes, kid. It's a kill zone out there for a reason." He asked, in a gruff voice.

"I-I don't know" Spike looks down cast, almost in tears again. "I was... looking for help from someth-pony and they snapped their fingers and I appeared here... He said he'd help me get my friends back but all he did was... was" Spike breaks down again, crying into his claws.

The two ponies in uniform shifted uncomfortably as a naked baby dragon cried into his hands. One them leaned over to their partner and whispered into his ear

"Well... I'm not sure what we can do to get you back, but I'm assuming you're a far way from home if She brought you in from the wastes, I swear that mare is as strange as they come. And I would've just left her to the wastes long ago if she didn't have the power we needed to win this war."

Spike sniffles and curls up, the weight of the situation finally dawning fully on him. Flashes and memories of his life with Twilight and her friends go through his mind at light speed, rushing through over 15 years of his life in a few minutes. His face and mind always putting them in a false light though as he assumes them all dead. As he goes through this the two stallions standing over him look at him sadly, not knowing the story behind the look, but knowing the look well.

A third soldier comes into the tent. Saluting, he speaks to the two stallions. "Super soldier Frozen Snow has been released from medical and is returning to the front lines SIR. She will arrive at 1400 on the 5th SIR." The soldier belts out, standing at attention once he has finished stating the news he sent to announce.

The two stallions nod at each other and turn back to Spike. "Good, when Frozen comes back we'll have her talk to you, I have a feeling she'll know more about your situation then we do."

They both salute Spike then all three soldiers walk out of the tent. Closing and zipping the flaps shut after they go.

With their departure I was left alone with my thoughts as well as my fears. I fell asleep after a little while seeing nothing else to do since I was left out here to die. I knew I couldn't trust that demon. Whatever, tomorrow this "Frozen Winter" is going to return, she's apparently the one who saved me from that monster I saw when I first got here.

The next few days went about the same, I would wake up, be visited by the two stallions, they'd talk to me, then they would leave for the rest of the day. It's been four days since I've been awake and nothing has changed.

I hope Frozen can help me get home... If there is a home to get back to.

*The rest of the page is stained with dried tears*

"Tsk, She's taking too long to train him." I look at my viewing device then out across Ponyville. I've moved all the changelings out and saved any ponies I could without disturbing their illusions. I got around 200 into ponyville before I had to release the illusions for their sakes. One cannot survive on illusionary bread alone.

I can see Shining armor's shield outside the window. An impressive amount of magic to be sure, but even with me providing him extra magic it still drains him. Thankfully having my abilities unlocked on this plane lets me set up a illusion, one that doesn't allow ponies and changelings to die of hunger.

I look back at the device and sigh "Maybe sending him to a desert wasn't the best idea for his first training. Whatever the case may be." I stare at his quivering form, hunched over the journal that was given to him. Looks like a drakonis journal. Perfect for him as he'll be gone for a long, long time.

I look back out over ponyville. Everypony seems... Listless, lost, unwilling to live. The sun hasn't moved past the horizon for days now, Canterlot has fallen. But as the moon blocks the sun during what is supposed to be night hours, it seems Luna escaped and is making sure the planet doesn't burn. Sadly, I can see the other side of the planet freezing, this invasion had unforeseen consequences Chrysalis. Be glad the planet hasn't burned due to your poor planning skills.

I finally looks back at the device. He's fallen asleep, Good. He'll need all the sleep he can get once Frozen gets there.
