Nearly mid-day in Canterlot city as the door into a shared studio swings open. Vinyl Scratch, one of its owners, slowly walks inside carrying a set of new groceries in from her trip to the market.
“Yo, Tavi! I’m back!” she called out.
There was no response from the other owner as Vinyl returned back outside to collect the rest of the groceries. Back and forth she went from her car to the kitchen table, dropping more and more groceries. Pretty soon the entire table and its nearby seats were stocked with food as Vinyl finally had the chance to rest herself on the only remaining table chair. She heard it creak as she slowly sat down upon it. Not because the seat was old, but because of the weight Vinyl’s expanded womb had gained.
“Phew...just a little longer and I won’t be having to carry you guys around,” she spoke to her expanded stomach.
Vinyl’s pregnant state had swelled up to a point where her shirts and jackets could no longer hide her enormous belly, but she paid no mind to the issue. Her music soothed any worry or panic she had about her body changes. Even her swollen cleavage she felt welcomed to have; “the bustier, the better”, she believed.
“Hey, let’s go see what Tavi’s doin’, huh?”
Vinyl heaved and picked up her body as she went deeper into the studio. She finds Octavia near the door to the laundry room resting on a sofa, eyes closed and calmly enjoying to herself. Soft music could be heard coming out of her phone’s headset as it rested upon her own massive girth, bearing a similar-sized family of her own. The sounds of rumbling and spinning could be heard in the other room as a part of her laundry had already been going for some time, so Octavia had been reduced to a pink skirt and a while buttoned t-shirt with a purplish buttoned vest only being able to cover the top half of her stomach. She had also been able to button up said vest despite the amount of strain they were showing.
“Geeze, Tavi”, Vinyl whispered to herself, “Was there nothing else to wear?”
Vinyl spotted the phone on the small coffee table next to the sofa, possibly playing a soft violin track for the babies.
“I wonder…” she muttered to herself as she went to feel her own phone in her jacket, “...if those kids would like to expand their taste in music?”
A devious Vinyl Scratch slowly walked up to her sofa as she pulled out her own phone from her jacket. She slid her finger across several menus before quickly swapping her phone with Octavia’s and pushing play.
Sounds of heavy dubstep began playing into Octavia’s headset being targeted at her own stomach. Vinyl quickly disappeared back to the front of the studio, quietly giggling to herself and knowing the consequences to come.
Octavia continued to rest her eyes, unaware of the situation taking place inside her. Tiny palms stretched towards the outside, slowly awakening from their moment of rest. The heavy beats coming from the headset blew into their developing ears as they began to slowly squirm inside their mother’s womb, becoming more noticeable from the outside.
“...Mmmuh?”
The squirming turned into kicking as her children had all woken up by the loud noises. It was enough to finally awaken their mother.
“Wha...no, no, please stop! What’s wrong?”
Octavia, in a small panic, heaved her body off the sofa and set aside her headset as she witnessed kick after kick hitting her uterine walls one after the other. Unlike Vinyl, Octavia wasn’t fond of the noises and movements coming from deep inside her body; it become too uncomfortable for her to bear along with her massive size. As she looked for a solution to calm her womb, she looked back down at her headset and heard the music being blasted and followed the cord back to her not-plugged-in phone.
“VINYL!!”
The sound of her angered friend only brought a smile to Vinyl’s face as she snickered away from back of the complex.
“Oh dear--please stop!” Octavia bargained with her belly, “Your mother isn’t a fan of your furious kicking!”
It took some time, but their kicking had finally settled down enough for Octavia to breathe a sigh of relief. Now focused, she picked up Vinyl’s phone and stomped to the front where she spotted her friend put away groceries with a teasing smile.
“Have a nice nap there, Tavi?” she joked.
“I WAS until you woke me and my babies up,” Octavia argued, “You know I don’t like them kicking so much and now I have to settle them down all over again!”
“What’s the problem with that?” questioned Vinyl, “It’s exciting to feel them all wriggle inside you. These little guys have been kicking inside me the entire car ride home.”
“And what is with all this food?? I know the doctor said to keep our stomachs full but not to the point where we might burst!”
“Hey, this is the best and only time to eat like a pig. I suggest you try it some time before you pop.”
Blushing heavily at the thought, Octavia slid the phone onto the table and stormed back to the laundry area as Vinyl continued to reload the closet and fridge.
“Ah, don’t mind her, kids,” Vinyl spoke back to her stomach, patting it gently, “You know how Tavi gets in her current state with all the mood swings. Hey, remember that time she swung around so much I thought she was going into the five stages of acceptance? Sounded like she was pleading for a coffin or something. It was...weird.”
She continued talking to herself as she continued to restock.
A wall clock chimed 1:00 in Octavia’s room. The mother-to-be resting on her bedroom recliner eyed the clock while she held a pregnancy book in her hands. At that moment, her stomach growled in need of a visit to the fridge. Setting aside her book, she swung her body off her seat and went in search of lunch.
Back in the kitchen, Vinyl was creating her own personal meal using at least a dozen sandwich ingredients as Octavia settled for a small bowl of dried fruit and water.
“Vinyl, you should really be careful with your body,” Octavia pointed out, “We might be large for now but don’t let your eating habits ruin your original figure.”
“Hey, I’m just sharing what these kids want me to have,” Vinyl said, taking a bite out of her monster sandwich stack, “I’m just complying.”
“And...what are all those?”
She pointed towards several unopened jars of peppers sitting on the far end of the table.
“What, the peppers? Kids love those!”
“VINYL! That’s dangerous to have in your condition!”
“Actually, it isn’t. AND they’re delicious.”
To prove her point, Vinyl reached out towards one of the jars...only to struggle with her given size until she slid the jar enough to reach out fully with a hand. She unscrewed the plastic lid and reached inside, pulling out a perfectly plump and juicy red pepper.
“ALSO,” Vinyl wished to point out, “Peppers are actually nutritious for you and don’t hurt your kids.”
Without giving Octavia another chance to express herself, she quickly took a bite out of her pepper, causing Octavia to gasp in fear. But Vinyl munched on the pepper with a satisfied expression on her face as she swallowed her bite down.
“See? Nothing to it, Tavi. And you know what?”
Vinyl picked up the half-eaten pepper, this time grabbing something from behind the jars.
“HOT SAUCE?!”
Vinyl quickly squirted a bit of the sauce on the remaining bit of the pepper and bit down on the rest of her pepper.
“Vinyl, are you insane?!” she cried in hopes her friend hadn’t damaged herself.
“Nope,” Vinyl replied, wiping the leftover sauce off her face with a napkin, “Just a little full is all.”
Sweat beads began to form on Vinyl’s head, beginning to feel the burn of the chili pepper she consumed. She backed her chair up as her stomach was reacting to her lunch.
“And here’s the best part.”
The children inside Vinyl began to vibrate her body with kicks and squirms, reaching out from the effect of the chili pepper. Vinyl laid her body back on the chair as she lifted her shirt and watched the unborn kids swarm inside her. Octavia winced at what was happening to Vinyl’s body but even still, the DJ kept her cool. Vinyl even started poking back at the spots that were being kicked, causing her to giggle from the ticklish sensation.
“It’s as if they help digest this stuff for me in a loving massage as thanks for feeding them.”
Vinyl’s insides calmed down after a few moments as she lifted her body back onto the chair properly.
“Phew...see? Nothing to worry about, Tavi,” she said as she reached back towards a pepper jar, “Now, what’s say you?”
“Vinyl, please!” Octavia argued, “No more of this pepper nonsense. Good or bad, it’s not going to do our insides very well later.”
The strong smell of the peppers flew past Octavia’s nose. She caught a whiff of the spicy fruit coming from the open jar next to Vinyl. At that moment, her curiosity peaked.
“A-although…” Octavia started, “Those peppers do smell a bit delicious from here. If only I wasn’t pregnant to try at least one again.”
“Then don’t wait!” Vinyl said as she reached into a jar and pulled a fresh, juicy pepper out.
The pepper dangled in front of Octavia’s face, taunting to give it a try.
“I-I, uh...I don’t suppose HALF of one could hurt. Just a bite.”
Vinyl dropped the pepper down onto her palm as she held it up close to her face. Hesitantly, she slowly opened her mouth and gently crunched down on its juicy innards. She took her time through the bite the fruit and swallowed when needed.
“Pretty good, huh? Huh?”
She wasn’t wrong. The pepper’s strong taste felt like a powerful melody striking her inner core.
“My…” Octavia thought, “These are better than I remembered. Perhaps I should just go on ahead and finish this one and--oh dear…”
The sweat beads that were already on Octavia’s forehead before the consumption started to drip down as only one bite was enough to set the spices into motion in her mouth.
“Oh-oh, goodness, this was a mistake!” she cried out as she waved her palm up and down to calm herself.
“Are you serious?!” Vinyl laughed, You can’t handle a single bite of a chili pepper?”
“Y-yes I can!” Octavia shot back, “I-In fact it was far more delicious than I remembered.”
“Is that so? Alright, then. How about a proposition?”
Vinyl reached for two jars of peppers and her hot sauce. She unscrewed each cap and let their aromas flow out of the jars.
“Tell you what? If you can eat ten chili peppers including the one you took a half-bite out of already, I’ll, uh, wear a dress the next time we go and eat out. But if I win, you get to sort through all of my music by listening through it all first.”
Octavia couldn’t stand having to listen to her friend’s dreaded dubstep for hours. But her thoughts became clouded again as Octavia’s nose picked up on the newly opened scents of the peppers. The combined strength of the smell awoken an urge that she hadn’t had for a while. With a strange, new confidence, she looked back at Vinyl.
“Alright, you’re on.”
“W-wait, what? You’re seriously going to--”
Octavia, still somewhat hesitant of bringing back the spice to her mouth, brought back up the half-eaten pepper and chewed the rest of it down. Vinyl could only raise an eyebrow wondering what was going through her friend’s mind.
“One down, Vinyl. Ten, you said?”
“Y-yeah,” she spoke confused as she brought up one of the jars to her seat.
Octavia reached into the jar and pulled out a new pepper. She viewed its red texture as the juices from the jar dripped onto the table. Octavia leaned forward slowly as best she could and munched down the first half of the second pepper. She cautiously chewed it up and swallowed the contents, letting it slide down her throat. But as quickly as she finished one bite, Octavia brought the rest of the pepper straight to her face and finished it off. Vinyl’s jaw was left agape as she watched from her seat while her tower of sandwich crumbled from her hands.
“Two...heh…”
The spices kicked in as Octavia’s forehead began to sweat more. She had to let her tongue out to let it cool as best she could while flailing her palm to heal faster.
“I can do this. Octavia, this silly bet is going to go my way...as long as I can resist a little spice.”
The next pepper was pulled out of the jar but Octavia bit into it while still covered in the jar’s juices. Her sweat continued to form across her head as her tongue started to call for mercy. But she finished the pepper just as quickly as she started. Vinyl could only keep herself busy with a bottle of soda with a bendy straw. Only for the can’s content to be slurped up and drooled back onto the table as she continued to watch in amazement.
“Hoo...pant...Th-three…”
“Oh, this was a mistake! NO! I’ll see this through!”
A determined Octavia reached back into the jar and this time ate the entire pepper in one bite! It took more time to chew through but gulp by gulp pepper #4 had vanished inside her stomach. New sweat beads began to form down Octavia’s arms and legs in hopes of a faster cooling process. All the while her stomach began to gurgle and groan in a somewhat upset state..
“Yet...I don’t want to stop...these peppers they-they’re just pleasantly mouth-watering!”
“Uh...Tavi?”
“More...pant...peppers!” she declared as another pepper was gobbled up into her mouth.
But that fifth pepper began to take its toll upon Octavia’s body. More sweat beads formed on top of her pregnant belly and now the kids could feel the heat coming from their food. They began to motion out in confusion of what was causing the heat along with the sound of Octavia’s stomach sloshing and groaning.
“N-no! Not the kids! Not now! I have to stop but--BUT THESE PEPPERS ARE DELICIOUS!”
Octavia grabbed the second jar and instinctively shoved two peppers into her mouth and quickly bit them down. Despite the spicy pain, she chewed them both down with a goofy smile on her face.
“T-Tavi? You’ve made your point. Please stop creeping me out with the pepper routine…”
“Mmph--you set this up...pant...and I’ll see this th-through.”
Sweat poured out from all of Octavia’s pores from her forehead to her feet. Her body became its own boiler as she started making her own clothes soaked from the events unfolding. The babies began to squirm more furiously but their mother didn’t notice as her cravings had taken over.
The noises coming from her friend’s stomach had gotten Vinyl to finally notice the violent behavior from across the table. The combined noises and kicking coming from her friend’s belly made her believe that she might have been growing an alien inside of her wanting to burst out of her womb. Now Vinyl wasn’t feeling too comfortable with the situation.
Before she could make Octavia aware, she spotted her eating three peppers at once this time. Chomp after chomp after chomp, the peppers disappeared. Only now did she have the chance to catch a breather, looking down into the second jar and trying to shake off the spice in her mouth. Seemed as though the more Octavia ate, the wilder her cravings became.
“Octavia, get a grip! You’re becoming a furnace!”
The tenth pepper was finally pulled and munched down into Octavia’s body.
“O-ok, ten. Good job, I lose,” Vinyl panicked, “Now can we please--”
Octavia stood straight up and pulled two new pepper jars towards her. She unscrewed both of them and reached into the jars...pulling ten red hot chili peppers out and grabbing Vinyl’s hot sauce, covering them in a spicy condiment.
“COME TO MAMA!” she yelled as all ten were consumed on the spot.
Every pepper that became consumed created an unusual ecstacy within Octavia. Temporarily escaping her orderly fashion freed her of any fear or guilt she may have had eating these hot chili peppers.
She slammed both empty jars upside down onto the table and looked over to Vinyl’s chair, absent of her seat. She pulled up and noticed her hiding behind a couch in the living room.
“Well, Tavi...this is going to hurt. A lot.”
“What are you--o-oooohh....”
The ten extra peppers reached Octavia’s stomach as it growled in disappointment. Her head was too hot to touch while the rest of her body continued to sweat waterfalls from every pore making her skirt, socks, t-shirt and vest completely soaked. Her babies became a tsunami inside her womb, shaking the table she was resting it on. And finally, her mouth caught up with the situation and began to burn like no tomorrow and making Octavia’s head turn red.
“VINYYYLLL!!!”
Octavia panicked as her entire body burned from the inside out from the twenty peppers she ate. The babies became an earthquake while Octavia teared up from the spices burning up her insides. She shook her entire body in hopes of some way to cool off faster, causing more of a fuss for her babies as well.
As she panicked, the force of her movements had started to strain her soaked vest as the buttons up front were forced to stretch apart.
“O-ok! Don’t panic, Tavi! You just need to down a thing of milk to soothe the pain! Just hope I bought enough…”
Octavia dashed towards the fridge in search of the milk. Her panicking made it difficult to focus as she had to keep moving around to control the fire happening inside her. But her movements continued to put more and more strain on her vest. Those buttons were nearly ready to break off.
After much searching, Octavia spotted the brand new gallon of milk sitting in on the top shelf. She reached out quickly and swung it onto the table, unscrewing the cap and throwing her body backwards as she doused her inner flames.
Glug by glug, Octavia drank down the gallon of milk, holding it with both hands above her head as its nullifying contents worked their way through Octavia’s digestive systems.
But the buttons had finally reached their limits as they began to shoot off of Octavia’s vest and fly in random directions. Now her soaking pink bra became exposed for all to see She paid no attention as she drank down the gallon of milk as quickly as possible.
“Y-yeah, like that. Keep drinking it down!”
The gallon of milk drained completely into Octavia’s mouth. Her sweat had finally ceased and her head no longer burned. But the kicking and noises were unable to stop as Octavia threw the empty carton from her and held her head down towards the table, almost as if she was going to throw up.
“Oh--hang on, Tavi. Gotta do one thing real quick.”
Vinyl, now hoping it was safe to approach Octavia, walked to her side and placed an open hand on her friend’s back. Vinyl raised it up and smacked Octavia’s back. She repeated the process several times until several belches freed the bubbles clogging Octavia’s innards.
“Huh, just think, we’ll be having to do that with the babies when they’re born.”
Octavia had enough of her jokes; once she took several moments to regain her bearings, she slowly waddled, tired and soaked onto the sofa, dropping down and completely out of breath.
There wasn’t much else Vinyl could do but take a seat next to her friend in hopes there was no need to call an ambulance.
“You, uh, you doing OK now, Tavi?”
Octavia couldn’t make out anything audible from her panting and only held a hand to her shaking stomach. Curious, Vinyl decided to join in with her own palm.
“Man, these kids are more active than I can get mine to make….ahem...so, uh...you won the bet, r-right?”
Octavia could only open an eye and raise an eyebrow from the comment before going back to rest.
“Do you, uh, have something I need to wear on that one night?”
Octavia’s only facial gesture she could make was an open-mouthed smile, still attempting to catch her breath to explain.
“Of course you do…”
With nothing else left to do, Octavia’s rumbling stomach gave Vinyl one last idea and pulled out the last jar of peppers from the kitchen. She grabbed the last five and ate them one by one and tossed the jar aside. Soon, her own burning sensation started but it came accompanied by the welcome kicking of her kids.
“Th-that’s better...heh…”
Vinyl returned to the sofa and rested side by side with Octavia, still trying to catch her breath, but now both girls bellies kicked in sync like a collaborative melody.
“Hey, not bad guys. You’ve got the workings of an awesome musician one day. That goes to you too, Tavi kids.”
*DING!*
The laundry room beeped the completion of Octavia’s final load of clothing. Only Octavia had passed out some time ago for her to do anything about it.
“Don’t worry, Tavi. I’ve got this.”
Vinyl got herself and her babies up off the sofa to put away her friend’s clothing...and perhaps to hide whatever Octavia had planned for her upcoming dinner dress.

It's been a while since I had been able to write, but luckily, Lurker helped me get motivated enough to present a story based on one of his favorite images. As for the Pinkie Prequel, no worries, it's not too far behind.
