Watching A Friends Sister
Twilight was sitting around in her castle as she waited for any work she had to do for her friends or the citizens of Equestria. It was a very slow day as she only had books and journals to pass the time. She read a book to pass the time.
As she read somebody had entered her castle. Twilight heard the commotion down in the entrance so she went to go and check it out. When she got there she saw Rarity with her sister. Sweetie Belle stayed close to her sister. Twilight walked down to greet them.
"What is the matter Rarity? Why is Sweetie Belle with you I thought you didn't have her every week." Twilight asked her.
"Can you keep Sweetie Belle here for me. Pinkie Pie is out of town and my parents let Sweetie Belle go to my place for the weekend as they can't watch Sweetie Belle either. Please? I'm sorry Twilight I couldn't find anybody who could watch her....look just do it for just one night and I'll pay you. You just have to watch her one night and next time I'll pick a new baby sitter for her." Rarity pleaded with Twilight. Twilight agreed to do it.
"Just come back for her when your done if you can't come back tonight I have a spare bedroom for her. I'll remember to feed her as well so don't worry." Twilight said as she looked at Rarity
"Thanks Twilight I owe you one. Make sure she does her homework. Be good for Twilight okay Sweetie Belle?" Rarity asked. Sweetie Belle nodded. Rarity left and Twilight looked at Sweetie Belle and signaled her to come inside.
"It's alright Twilight I'm not a handful to look out for. I'll behave." Sweetie Belle said as Twilight guided her to the guest room. Sweetie Belle entered the guest room and Twilight left to go do some more work as Sweetie Belle went over her school work and started to do her homework.
Sweetie Belle did her homework as so that she didn't forget to do it. She didn't need Twilight to help her either as it was just math that she had done numerous times before. Sweetie Belle quickly finished doing her homework and told Twilight that she finished it and Twilight showed her the guest room and told her that if she did need anything important then just see her.
As minutes passed by Sweetie Belle stuck true to her word as she didn't bother Twilight or Spike as she just stayed in the guest room while Twilight relaxed as she read a book downstairs. Spike was reading a comic.
As Sweetie Belle sat in the room she took some utensils and drew some pictures by herself. She repeatedly scribbled on a few pages as she drew random pictures of trees that didn't look very good.
Sweetie Belle knew that she was terrible at drawing but in the end that didn't matter to her because it was something for her to do. Meanwhile Twilight loved the fact that Sweetie Belle had stuck to her word and was completely silent. She loved the silence.
Twilight kept track of the time to make sure to feed a Sweetie Belle and have Sweetie Belle go to bed before it was to late in the morning as she needed to go to be at an acceptable time.
"Do you want me to watch her Twilight? If it's a problem for you then I can take her off your hands." Spike said. Twilight sighed and told him that she could handle babysitting for Rarity as Sweetie Belle wasn't a difficult kid.
Twilight wondered if Rarity kept her sister company all the time She wondered if she would have to do that to but as time went on she realized she didn't have to do that all the time as Rarity didn't have to do that either.
Time went on and Twilight saw that it was dinner time so she made a meal for Sweetie Belle and served her hoping she wouldn't refuse to eat the meal as she didn't want to make it seem like she forgot to feed Sweetie Belle.
Luckily for her Sweetie Belle ate it and made small talk with Talk with Twilight. Twilight ate as well and soon Sweetie Belle was done so Twilight allowed her to go back to the guest room. Sweetie Belle left her and went back to the guest room.
Twilight finished as well and realized that it wasn't to hard to babysit Rarity's sister she sometimes misbehaved but overall she was a nice kid. Although she did feel kind of bad for not paying attention to her even if Sweetie Belle did enjoy her company.
Twilight decided to check on her and as she did that Twilight and Sweetie Belle started to talk to eachother much to Twilight's surprise as she didn't mind talking to Sweetie Belle even if she thought she would mind.
Twilight thought it was going to be bothersome but in the end Sweetie Belle wasn't as annoying or troublesome as Twilight first thought sure she had some issues with behavior but it wasn't overall that bad.
Sweetie Belle and Twilight finished talking and Sweetie Belle played for a few more hours and then Twilight reminded her about her bedtime so Sweetie Belle got changed and went to bed. Twilight wondered if Sweetie Belle still got bedtime stories even if she was growing up so she asked Sweetie Belle about one and Sweetie Belle told her that she didn't need to give her one if she didn't want to and Twilight thanked her.
Twilight went to bed as she was grateful that babysitting Sweetie Belle wasn't as hard as she thought it would be. She went to sleep and so did Sweetie Belle. The next morning Twilight sent Rarity a letter asking if she should send Sweetie Belle to school and Rarity told her not to bother as she was just going to pick a Sweetie Belle back up and bring her to school herself.
Sweetie Belle got packed up again and when Rarity arrive she hugged her sister as Twilight greeted her friend.
"How was she?" Rarity asked Twilight.
"She behaved. It wasn't any trouble at all even if I thought it would be troublesome in the beginning. I can do it again sometime if you need me to watch her if there isn't any other baby sitters available." Twilight asked.
"Good I'm glad Twilight. Thanks again." Rarity said. Rarity left and Twilight wiped the sweat off her forehead.
"Glad that's over now back to doing princess duties." Twilight stated.
