This short story of sorts was inspired by a discussion question on Equestria Daily and the joking response I planned to give. The response grew to be a little bit more than just a simple joke so I decided I might as well have a bit of fun with it and post it here.

It has been several years since the Gate of Isah awoke from its slumber connecting Equestria to the realm in which humanity dwells under the rule of the Rozak Dominion. The Dominion, a power hungry yet cautious war machine, opens diplomatic relations with Equestria in order to find any weaknesses to exploit in a grab for territory and resources in this new world. Early translation attempts between humans and ponies brought a possible Equestrian weapon of immense power to the Dominion's attention. This weapon of myth has been codenamed Friendship and the Dominion wants to either steal the weapon or destroy it to make way for a future invasion.

In Equestria, Twilight Sparkle has recently found her life changed one morning when Spike gained wings and decided to fly off to join his fellow dragons. Now in need of a new assistant, Twilight consults Celestia, resulting in her receiving a new partner, a human named Klithe.

This it the journal of Klithe and his attempts to make the most of an unexpected change of events and locate Equestria's fabled weapon for the glory of the Rozak Dominion.
