Happy Belated Valentine's Day! 
One Sour Night
February 14th, Valentine's Day. A time of love, a time of romance. An entire holiday dedicated to the love for your family, close companions, and the love of your significant other. There was no other time like it.
But this holiday was also a little stressful for a few individuals. Particularly; Sour Sweet, an attendee of Crystal Prep Academy.
"No, no, no, no!!! What to do, what to do, what to do!!!" Sour panicked. She was pacing back and forth in her room, trying to think of a perfect plan for her and her girlfriend; Smallfoot. Valentine's Day was special, and she had to make this special. She couldn't screw this up, or let anything else screw it up.
She stopped the pace as she stood in front of a body mirror, taking a look at herself. She looked at her panicked look and the sweat that ran down her forehead. This was not good. And especially tonight. She had to stay as calm as possible. All she had to do was calm herself down.
"No, no, keep yourself together Sour. Its gonna be okay." Sour took a few deep breathes, one of many exercises that her psychiatrist told her to do in case of her feeling overwhelmed or stressed out. "Okay, stay calm... its gonna be okay. You've got plenty of backup plans in case something fails... at least I hope nothing fails. Besides, I'm sure Smallfoot is just as calm and collected as you are."
In An Apartment Elsewhere...
"I can't do this!!!"
Smallfoot herself was panicking in her own apartment, with Sunny Flare and Indigo Zap invited over as assistance for her date preparation.
"Smallfoot, you need to calm down!" Sunny said.
"Do I look calm to you? I'm perfectly calm! I'm about to ruin the most romantic night of any year, how am I panicking?"
Indigo shook her head. "Now you're not making any sense. "
"I never panic when I make sense, huh!" Smallfoot jabbered on.
"Smallfoot!" Sunny grabbed Smallfoot by the shoulders, and gazed into her emerald colored eyes. "Listen to me right now. You are fine, you need to stay calm."
Smallfoot nodded.
Sunny let go of her shoulders, allowing Smallfoot to try and calm down to compose herself.
"Okay, okay. You're right."
"Of course I'm right. Besides, Sour loves you for who you are right?" Sunny asked.
"Yeah..."
"Then I'm absolutely positive you will be perfectly fine for your date. And hey, if a plan doesn't work, maybe she's got another backup plan. And you already told me you had several backup plans as well, right?"
"Yes, I do." Smallfoot replied.
Sunny and Indigo Zap smiled.
"Then go show your gal you can still make a great night," Indigo cheered.
Smallfoot smiled. "Any of you two have plans with a significant other tonight?"
"Well my boyfriend's trying to surprise me, but I know it won't work! I know I'll find out!" Indigo said, setting her foot down.
"So... not wanting to be surprised?"
"Nope," was all Indigo said, with a blunt reply to match up Sugarcoat's bluntness.
"Okay, well what about you Sunny?"
Sunny sighed with relaxation. "My boyfriend's taking me to this really great restaurant, followed by a romantic walk in the woods, and we'll be ending it off with a movie and candy."
Smallfoot nodded. "Not to make any bad puns but, sounds sweet."
Sunny giggled. "I have feeling you and Sour are going to be just fine..."
Dusk turned to dawn, and the time for Smallfoot's date to approach her door was near. She'd be here at any minute! Smallfoot adjusted her red dress which had thin straps on her shoulders, and cleaned her green tinted glasses.
The door of Smallfoot's apartment was met with a few knocks. She was here now, no going back. She examined herself one last time; it wasn't exactly perfect, but she couldn't keep Sour Sweet waiting. She wasn't known for her patience. Whether Smallfoot liked it or not, she had to be ready now. Smallfoot finished pushing her hair behind her head, and she walked up to the door. She looked through the peephole, feeling much more happy to see the same magenta and maroon colored hair on the the other side, with the streak of turquoise.
Smallfoot opened the door, and the happiness and joy that she was experiencing had blasted off into the sky. She laid her eyes on the beauty incarnate right in front of her, practically in awe. Her hair was no different from usual, but her dress was another question. A sleeveless dress of sparkling turquoise with a turquoise neck-piece and turquoise bracelet, brought out by her lustrous flowing hair. She seemed to be wearing a little bit of mascara too, making her eyes were somehow more gorgeous than they usually are. Smallfoot was standing before a goddess, and all she could wonder was if she should be dropping to her knees or not.
"S-Sour, you look amazing..." Smallfoot stuttered.
Sour giggled. "Thanks! You look pretty fancy yourself."
Smallfoot blushed. "R-Really?"
"Mmmhmm."
"I-I don't know what to say..." Smallfoot blushed.
Without warning, Smallfoot pulled Sour close and held her in a passionate kiss, more passionate than the other kisses she received, holding her tight. Smallfoot pulled out of the kiss and gave a sly smirk.
Sour was the one blushing this time. "My, Smallfoot... someone's becoming a little bold."
Smallfoot kissed her cheek. "Only for you baby. Ready to go?"
Sour nodded.
Smallfoot grabbed her set of truck keys and locked her apartment door.
"Want to take the stairs, or the elevator?" Smallfoot asked.
"Probably the elevator. It's a lot of stairs just to reach your apartment." Sour said.
Smallfoot raised a brow, smirking. "You don't want to take the stairs cause there are too many, don't you?"
Sour rubbed the back of her head with a nervous chuckle. "Maybe?"
Smallfoot giggled. "Its fine, we'll go down the fast way."
Smallfoot pressed the button on the elevator door, and the two girls stood as they waited for it to open up.
"Elevator! Come on, come on, come on!!!"
Smallfoot and Sour looked across the hall and found two teenagers panicking to get out the door. Sour recognized the two of them from her school; Celery Stalk and Alizarin Bubblegum. Sour remembered the two of them meeting over at a 50s diner, and that's where the two of them began their relationship. Their meeting was... strange, to say the least. She couldn't comprehend the whole, ice cream desert exploding and hitting all of them.
But this situation was a bit stranger. Alizarin was struggling to get the elevator door opened with a whole lot of sweat running down her head.
"Aliz?" Smallfoot asked. "What's wrong? Is someone hurt?"
"Long story!!!"
Struggling and moving as fast as he could, they saw a boy with dark blue skin, green hair, and glasses holding a giant milk canister, struggling to get it out the door. But even stranger was that it was steaming.
"Wait, what's--"
The elevator door opened up, and Celery Stalk rushed to get the canister into the elevator. Sour was about to step inside, but Smallfoot grabbed her and pulled her aside.
"I have a bad feeling about this..." Smallfoot said, trying to move Sour as far away from the elevator as possible.
Celery ran back out and pressed the button inside, closing the door and allowing the elevator doors to close.
"Okay, what did you do!?" Sour asked.
"Uh..."
A giant pound was smashed against the elevator doors, followed by a flash of light from within. Everyone nearly screamed, but no one did. But they did back away from the elevator as far as possible.
Smallfoot and Sour looked back at the two teens who were panting and wiping the sweat from their heads. They were glad they made it just in time.
"Aliz. Celery. Care to explain to me what you just threw in the elevator shaft?" Sour asked.
"We uh... we threw unstable rocket fuel in there."
Smallfoot's eyes bulged under her glasses. "Where do you get rocket fuel?"
"We made it," Alizarin blushed.
Sour's hand slapped her own face, rubbing it. "Let me see if I got this straight, you created unstable rocket fuel and decided to throw it in the elevator shaft? Sounds like something that'd be more funny on a sitcom."
"Hey, it contained the explosion!" Celery protested.
Smallfoot winced, seeing the steam coming through the cracks of the door.
"Oh no..." Smallfoot said with some worry.
"Hey, hey, hey." Sour said, making her girl look at her. "Its okay, its going to be alright. Look, we can just take the stairs, its no worry. Besides, its better to get exercise anyway."
Sour led her girlfriend down the stairs, and Smallfoot could only look back and see more smoke billowing.
"Boy, the landlady's going to be mad."
After making it downstairs and making it into the truck, Sour took driving seat and drove the two of them to the restaurant Sour had planned on taking her. A 50s diner in fact.
"Oh!" Smallfoot smiled. "Sour, I love this place! How did you know?"
Sour giggled. "Because I know you so well."
Sour stepped out of the truck and opened up the door for her girlfriend. She helped her out of the truck, and the two walked up to the diner, hand holding hand. Sour had purposely parked far enough just so she could continue to hold the hand of her girlfriend as they walked up to the restaurant. It felt good to have the girl of her dreams right with her, and no one could have her.
As soon as they walked inside, Sour and Smallfoot were seated by the waitstaff, and sat down at a booth. Sour was just smiling happily all the way. She couldn't hide the joy that was bursting inside, knowing that her girlfriend was right across from her at this restaurant.
Smallfoot let out a giggle. "You okay baby? You've been staring at me for a while."
Sour smiled. "I'm just happy I have the most beautiful girl sitting across from me."
Smallfoot's cheeks heated up. "Oh you..."
Sour giggled.
But just as they were about to order--
"FIRE!!!"
Sour and Smallfoot immediately jumped from their seat, looking into the backroom. There indeed they could see a fire that was starting to spread from its source. Following the procedure code, the two girls calmly got out of the restaurant as fast as possible.
5 Minutes Later
Sour and Smallfoot along with a handful of other people were standing in front of the diner, watching it slowly start to fall apart from the flames, burning to the ground.
"Awww..." Sour whimpered.
Smallfoot's ear twitched upon hearing Sour say that. She never liked seeing her girlfriend sad or distressed. She wasn't going to let it happen. She could still save this night!
"Hey sweetness?" Smallfoot asked.
Sour turned her head.
"You know, I did come up with a backup plan. I know another restaurant we could eat at." Smallfoot offered.
Sour felt a little better.
"Really?"
"Yeah. Come on, lets go. This time, I'll be the driver for you."
Smallfoot opened up the door for her girlfriend, and she stepped inside. Once she made it in, she climbed into the other seat and turned on the ignition. And as she pulled out and left, she could see the approaching sirens of the fire department closing in to take care of the situation...
Smallfoot drove the two of them up to another restaurant. This time, a karaoke bar/restaurant.
"Perfect!" Smallfoot smiled. "I knew this place wouldn't close on a holiday like this."
"Why would any restaurant close on Valentine's Day?"
"Well, it... eh, never mind, come on." Smallfoot shrugged.
Smallfoot held Sour's hand, and the two of them walked up to the restaurant, and entered inside. Already the place was lively with a band, plenty of waitstaff going around, and lots of people laughing, giggling, and having a wonderful time.
Just like before, the waitstaff seated them at a table, they took their drink order, and the two of them were left alone to gaze deeply into each other's eyes.
"You're beautiful you know what?" Smallfoot said, entranced by the glimmer in Sour's eyes.
Sour blushed. "I'm not that beautiful..."
"Yeah, you are."
"Oh stop it." Sour giggled. "You're making me blush."
"And you are adorable when you blush."
Sour blushed even harder, her cheeks coming to a full on red.
"Tonight can't get any better," Sour said, still blushing.
"Oh trust me sweetness, its going to get even better!" Smallfoot said, smiling.
"Is there a Miss Smallfoot here in the audience?" A man asked, speaking into the microphone.
Smallfoot squeaked a bit, and she zipped through the crowd of tables, moving onto the stage.
"Ah yes, here she is." The man replied, handing her the microphone.
Smallfoot cleared her voice, and she spoke. "I'd like to dedicate this song to the one who's always been there for me, someone special... someone sweet, and the coolest girl I've had the pleasure of meeting. For my girlfriend, and hopefully my future partner, Sour Sweet."
Sour felt a warm tingle in her heart. "Oh Smallfoot..."
The music began to play, and the lights started to dim down. And as the one light focused on her, Smallfoot began singing.

Sour was completely entranced as Smallfoot started to sing. Her voice was that of an angel, like an angel sent from the gods above down just for her. This girl was on stage, singing her heart out for her, and she was loving it.
Unfortunately her few seconds of musical enjoyment came to a close when she heard the voice of a man at the table next to her. A man with a very snooty and uptight tone in his throat.
"Oh good heavens, this song again?"
"Do they have any other romantic music out there besides this?"
"Hey! Shut up," Sour whispered, trying to hear her girlfriend play.
Take my breath away...
Sour's head slowly bobbed to the beat, enjoying the sweet melodies that filled her ears.
"That's your girlfriend?"
Sour looked back. The same man she whispered to shut up had asked her that. She nodded with a yes. The man rolled her eyes.
"You are dating that thing?"
Sour grit her teeth. "How about you watch what you're saying bub?"
"I'm just saying, a girl with that look... you can do better than that. I mean come on, that singing is terrible! Is she trying to be Songbird Serenade? Cause I'm telling ya, she ain't good, I mean--"
The waiter came by, and set the drink down on the table. Sour sneered and growled even more. She grabbed her drink, and she tossed it behind her, letting it shatter and break into shards of glass.
"That's it! You're dead buddy! No one insults my girlfriend!"
Sour flipped the table up and she tackled the man down much like an angry jaguar. The man screamed as Sour attacked and was begging for mercy, but Sour gave no mercy. And at that point Smallfoot had stopped singing, and was looking at her girlfriend go wild on the man, beating him senselessly. But even more so, she was met with disapproving looks from a few people. Some of the patrons saw her walk in with Sour, and they knew right away she was with her.
"Um..." Smallfoot gulped. She moved the microphone slowly to her lips, sweat visibly running down her face and spoke. "...Check please?"
10 Minutes Later
After getting kicked out of the restaurant for assaulting a patron, Sour and Smallfoot this time went walking. While no one said a word, there was no denying Sour felt guilty. Her head hung low, and she didn't even look back at her girlfriend. She could only imagine how humiliated she was to have to be the one to pull her out of that fight, and having to walk away with her.
The guilt was eating her on the inside, making her feel more horrible than ever. She wanted to say something, but she was too afraid to. But there didn't seem to be any options left. Either apologize and make it up to her, or not say a word and not claim that it was her fault that they got banned.
She cleared her throat and looked to her girlfriend. "Smallfoot?"
Smallfoot stopped and she looked to Sour's guilt filled face.
Sour's eyes drooped and looked down, and she rubbed her arm, unable to look Smallfoot in the eye.
"I'm sorry I got us kicked out... I shouldn't have attacked that man, or else we wouldn't be out here trying to find another place to eat again. I was just... he was saying mean stuff about you and I... I didn't like hearing what he said about you."
Smallfoot could see and hear the geniune apology she was giving. Down Sour's left cheek was a small trickle of a tear. Smallfoot just slowly graced her finger up and wiped it away.
Sour looked back at her girlfriend who was giving her a heart-melting smile. She stroked her cheek, and she pulled Sour in for a peck on the lips.
"I understand sweetness."
Sour looked away. "I'm sorry I ruined the night for you baby..."
"What? Sour, you didn't ruin anything for me."
"But, I got us kicked out of that karaoke bar."
"Baby, its fine. That karaoke place was low on my list of places I thought about us going to for the holiday." Smallfoot said, patting her girlfriend's shoulder.
"You sure?"
"Positive."
Smallfoot pulled her in and she gave her a hug, patting her and rubbing her back. Sour felt a little better, being held in her girlfriend's warm embrace. She hugged her back and she kissed her cheek.
"So... alright if I can make it up to you? I know a quick stop where we can just get food in a few minutes. Besides, I've got other ideas in mind that could make this night magical."
Smallfoot raised a brow. "Do tell..."
"Follow me!"
Sour Sweet took her girlfriend and led her over to a fast food joint, one of the most popular joints in Canterlot; Mondo Burger. They always had great service, even in the most strangest of situations.
Sour and Smallfoot found themselves a seat inside, and Sour held her girlfriend's hand as she sat only a few inches away.
"I know this isn't exactly your idea of romantic, but--"
Smallfoot giggled. "Sour, its fine. I'm just happy that I'm here spending the night with you."
Once the number was called for them to pick up their food, Sour walked over and grabbed their food, setting it all down on a plastic tray. A burger, fries, and chocolate shake for her girlfriend, and for herself, a cheeseburger with some fried chicken, and a minty shake.
Smallfoot took a bite into her burger, enjoying the delicious taste in her food. The lettuce, the cheese, the ketchup, it was so delicious. Even the sweet filled ice cream from the chocolate milkshake was enough to lighten up this strange night.
Sour was enjoying her meal as well. Sure it wasn't gourmet made food, but it was delicious either way.
"But you know, I feel like something's not right here." Smallfoot said, looking at the calm environment around her.
"How come?"
"I don't know. I mean, something went wrong three times in a row... shouldn't something go wrong again?" Smallfoot asked with a bit of nervousness.
"Smallfoot, its going to be fine. So we've had three pieces of bad luck, I don't think anything bad--"
"You creep!"
Smallfoot and Sour turned their gaze to the left to see a woman throw her meal towards the man sitting across from her, but instead it landed in the hair of a purple-haired girl with pigtails.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry--"
"That's it!"
The girl threw her food back, hitting another person instead of the woman she targeted. In rage, the man flipped his table over and started to fight back.
"Yep, there we go." Smallfoot said, unfazed.
"I wondered when someone would start the fight." Sour stated.
In a few moments, the entire joint had turned from a calm dinner place into a war zone. Kids, teenagers, and even the adults were starting to get in on the action. Food was flying everywhere, chairs and tables were used as weapons and defences, and everyone was screaming like they were charging out in war.
"Huh. This is a lot more silly than I thought." Sour said, watching the adults duck behind tables for shields.
Turning their heads, they watched as some of the staff behind the counter were now taking cover, bracing themselves for the incoming food that would come their way.
Surprisingly though, Sour and Smallfoot were not in the line of crossfire. They moved themselves against in a corner, away from the action, where they wouldn't get hit. But on another hand, they had front row seats to view one of the most unnecessary and completely pointless food fights that they witnessed in Canterlot.
After managing to escape the restaurant and paying for the bill, the two girls hit the town once again. The night was still young, and there was still plenty of time left for them to do stuff.
"So, what do you want to do now baby? We've got plenty of night left. Maybe there's still stuff we can do." Sour asked.
"Well I don't know, what do you want to do?" Smallfoot asked.
"Hmm... I'm not sure. Actually... now that I think of it, we didn't exactly get dessert... care to go pick up some sweets?" Sour asked.
Smallfoot raised a brow with a sly smile. "You're just begging me to make a pun, aren't you?"
"Is it that easy?"
Smallfoot chuckled. "Extremely. I could make a million terrible puns right now just with that line."
Sour rolled her eyes. "Come on, goofy."
Sour and Smallfoot eventually found a store that had some specific desserts to their liking. And inside there was some people drinking coffee, sitting at tables calmly.
Sour and Smallfoot's eyes immediately ogled down to the display case, showing the kinds of desserts that were available. Cupcakes, bear claws, cookies, cakes, eclairs, donuts, muffins, every special dessert under the sun was available right before their eye.
The sweet aroma of the delectable goodies accompanied by the sheer look was enough to make their mouths water.
"Know what you're getting?" Sour asked.
"Yep!"
Smallfoot moved back up and looked at the man behind the counter.
"I would like to purchase two chocolate eclairs, and make that two strawberry cupcakes for the gal right next to me." Smallfoot asked.
"Alright," The man said, entering in the order on the cash register. "That will be nine dollars."
Smallfoot dug into her wallet and paid the price for the food.
"Okay, here is a ticket," the man gave Smallfoot a ticket, "It should be out in a few minutes. We'll call your number when its done."
"Okay, thank you."
As Smallfoot turned around, she dropped her attention down to Sour who was standing in a fighting position real close to her.
"Okay, Sour, I don't want to know what's provoked you into standing in this position, I just want to know why."
"Smallfoot, think about this. Every location we have stepped into tonight has done something horrific that gets us in trouble. Well not this time! I'm making sure nothing bad is going to happen here! And I'm prepared!"
Out of nowhere and with no plausible explanation, Sour whipped out two Japanese sais in her hands which made Smallfoot's eyes jump from her sockets.
"Okay, where did you hide those!?"
"Don't ask."
"Sour, please, just put the weapons away, you don't need--"
Smallfoot never did get to finish her sentence at that time. Instantly her face was splashed with hot coffee which made her scream in agony.
"AGH!!! IT BURNS!!!" Smallfoot yelled, holding her face.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, here, let me get some ice--"
Sour didn't let the woman finish her sentence and instead kicked her foot, knocking her down to the ground. She growled as she looked down on the woman who accidentally splashed hot coffee.
"What was that for!?"
"That was for my girlfriend!"
"It was an accident!"
"Nothing was never an accident on this day!"
"That makes no sense!"
Sour was about to fight back, but she was kicked down as well, but unfortunately she fell the other direction landing on her face, making her scream. She cupped her jaw from the pain, and screamed into her palms from the pain. Only one thought went through her head.
This. Ends. Now.
One Insane Fight Later
After getting in trouble at yet ANOTHER public place, Sour and Smallfoot had to leave. But instead their next trip ended up going to the hospital and a dentist. Smallfoot had received several 3rd degree burns in need of healing, and Sour unfortunately had lost a tooth from the woman knocking her down.
The two did make their quick appointments and made it through, but needless to say, their faces were not void of any exposing pain. Some of Sour Sweet's hair was shown to be gone, having been ripped from her head, and while it wasn't seen, a silver tooth was filled in place for the tooth she had lost. Smallfoot now had to wear a patch over her eye, and a bandage was wrapped around her forehead, while her hair was hanging over top of it, hiding most of the bandage.
But poor Sour felt more horrible than she did earlier that night. Not only did they get kicked out of ANOTHER public place because of her rage, but they had suffered more horrific pain than ever before. They had to go to a hospital just to recover from the injuries they sustained. There was no way this could be looked upon.
Heavy with guilt, Sour mustered up the strength she could to try and talk to her girlfriend.
"S-Sorry I ruined your night..." Sour whimpered.
"Sour, you didn't ruin my night."
"Yes I did! Smallfoot, we've gotten kicked out of two public places because of my rage, we had to go to a hospital for the rest of this night, and every single time we go somewhere, something bad always happens! How can you say that isn't ruining your night?"
Smallfoot offered a smile to her silver-toothed partner. "Because no matter how insane the night can become, or how implausible the scenarios... I still love you."
Sour felt a little bit at unease.
"Y-You don't... you don't hate me? You don't want to leave me?"
"No. Baby, why would you think I want to leave you?"
Sour sighed and she turned her head. "Because I got us kicked out of two public places in one night because I couldn't control my temper. Almost every date that I've been on before you, I've always chased people away for my temper. How are you not running away from me?"
Smallfoot still was smiling. "Because its who you are. No one needs to run away because you've got anger. Yes, its something you should work on, but I'm not going to leave you over that. I love you for who you are. Every part, every aspect... everything."
Sour sniffled. "But I..."
Smallfoot rolled her one working eye. "Sweetness. Can you look at me?"
Sour slowly looked back up to her one-eyed girlfriend.
"I'll be honest, I'm okay some of this stuff happened. I think the night got more interesting because of all the weird things that happened. How many people can say we had a calm dinner in a middle of a food fight?"
Sour slowly nodded. "I-I guess I understand..."
Smallfoot pulled her girlfriend closer, and held her in her arms.
"Baby, I want you to listen to me. No matter what happens, no matter how insane you may act, and no matter what happens, I'll always stay faithful to you, and I will always love you."
Sour weakly smiled. "Promise?"
"Promise."
Smallfoot pulled Sour in and she held her in a passionate kiss. Sour wrapped her arms around Smallfoot , holding her just as tight as Smallfoot was. Once they backed away, Sour looked deep into the one sparkling eye that Smallfoot still had working.
"I don't know about you, but maybe we shouldn't do anything else tonight. I think maybe you and I should relax a bit." Sour said.
"How so?"
"I don't know... wanna snuggle on the couch and watch a bad B-monster movie?"
Smallfoot grinned. "I already love the sound of this."
After returning home, and taking some showers to freshen up, Smallfoot propped a bag of popcorn in the microwave, popping a bag for her and Sour to enjoy as they watched the movie. And as she focused on making sure her girlfriend's microwave didn't explode, Sour examined her movie collection seeing about picking a movie.
"Hey Smallfoot, how about this one? Attack Of The Lepus Men?"
Smallfoot raised a brow. "That sounds dumb. Play it!"
Sour propped in the tape, and she snuggled up on the couch, covering herself in a fuzzy blanket. Smallfoot came over holding a bowl of popcorn, and Sour opened up the couch for her. She patted the seat next to her, making Smallfoot blush. She sat on the seat that opened up, allowing Sour to cover her in the blanket, holding her close as they started to watch the movie.
As soon as the opening credits started, Sour and Smallfoot just started making jokes.
"Hey look, its Whistler's Mother with bunny ears!" Sour giggled.
A clap of lightning played on the TV, accompanied by what appeared to be a thunderstorm over the high seas.
"Oh dang it, I hit the hurricane season switch again! Sorry Poseidon! " Smallfoot joked.
Both of their hands dug into the bowl of popcorn as a narrator commented over the opening scene.
"Written by Fore Shadow? That sounds like the name of a guy who makes terrible fanfiction."
"Honestly I assumed its a guy trying to make people laugh and smile... and still failing."
As their hands reached into the popcorn bowl again, their fingers slowly began to intertwine with one another, locking around another. Sour and Smallfoot looked at each other, both of their cheeks flushed. Smallfoot moved closer, nuzzling Sour's cheek, snuggling as close as possible.
"Happy Valentine's Day Sour." Smallfoot whispered.
Sour smiled and she kissed her girlfriend's forehead. "Happy Valentine's Day to you too, my beautiful Rig."
But in a nick of perfect timing, all of the lights in the entire house shut off, including the TV and the electronics around them. The power must have overloaded, Smallfoot thought.
Even though Smallfoot couldn't see it, she could tell Sour was getting enraged.
"OH COME ON!!!"
