Displaced: Against the grain
Chapter 3
Previous ChapterI think I scarred the Princesses that night. I had failed to mention that Sayains can eat a lot and I almost cleaned out the castle pantries. Needless to say, everyone was looking on in shock and awe as I chowed down while my daughter just shook her head and mumbled under her breath.
"We're going to get tossed out because if your stomach daddy." I paused in the middle of a wonderful four cheese pasta dish to look at her.
"What? I haven't eaten in three days, so yeah I'm hungry."
"Well, I forgot that Sayians are bottomless pits." Having just finished the pasta, I looked around till my gaze fell onto a three tier chocolate cake that seemed to be begging to be eaten, but as I was reaching for it, Celestia grabbed the cake. Looking at me she yelled "I DON'T THINK SO" and disappeared.
"Oh, come on! I wanted that!"
"If I could, I will share some advice with you Jeremy." Turning to Luna I raised my eyebrows to signal her to continue. "Never get between Tia and cake. She might not take it well."
"Noted and disregarded. That was my favorite kind of cake" I added. "Whelp, I done. I think I'll turn in for the night."
"Before you go." I turned to see what Luna wanted. "Would it be too much to ask if you would give us a demonstration of your abilities in the morning?" I thought for a moment about the potential repercussions of said demonstration.
"Sure, I guess I could. But, just yourselves and whoever else you think needs to know. If I truly have become my character, I would dare say I'm stronger than any of you." That got her attention.
"How is this possible?"
"Princess, I'm gonna be as honest as I can. I have the ability to destroy this planet with one attack if I wanted to." Fear crossed her features and I hated to see it. "You have nothing to fear" I began gently. "My daughter is happy here and because of that, I will defend Equestria with my life if needed. Besides" I began as I turned to make my way to my room. "I would never do anything to hurt my favorite pony. Goodnight, Princess."
Waking up the next morning, I felt a weight on my chest and looking down, I could see my daughter curled up in a ball, sleeping peacefully. I had to smile knowing that she had found a little peace and had slept through the night for once. Maybe we can find that peace of mind we both so desperately have needed for the last two years. I laid there for twenty minutes with just random thoughts going through my head, when a knocking came from the door.
"Yes?"
"Mr. Voit? I was tasked with escorting you and your daughter to the dining hall."
"Very well. Give us ten minutes." It took me almost the entire ten minutes to wake up the little ball of fuzz that was my daughter. When she finally opened her eyes, she just looked and me yawning "Eh?"
"Well, good morning to you too. I would hazard a guess that you slept pretty good?" Nodding she curled back up to go back to sleep, but I did what any responsible father did....I sat up. A indignant squeal was my reward.
"Hey! What was that for?" I snickered at her pouting face.
"Sorry little one, but we've been called to breakfast by the princesses. So go and take care of your morning business. Okay?"
"Okay." Hopping down from the bed she went and did just that. Meanwhile, I stood up and started stretching out my body. This demonstration might be a good way to test myself I thought. I somehow instinctively knew what to do, but I needed to practice and train to make sure of it.
After another filling meal, in which I heard Celestia whispered to her sister, "I hope he doesn't eat like that at every meal. If he does, we need to increase the castle food budget just for him." I figured I needed to find a way to pull my weight after today. Anyways, it wasn't long before the princesses walked up to me.
"Where would you like to do the demonstration Jeremy" Luna asked.
"Somewhere that is very open and there is no way anyone could possibly get hurt and I should add that it needs to be somewhere that you don't mind getting destroyed too." When I said that, all four of them looked at me In concern before Luna perked up.
"I know just the place" she said smiling. Once all of the ponies that would be witnessing my little demonstration gathered, which was about ten of them, Luna cast a teleportation spell. When we reappeared, it was to a barren stretch of plains that was about thirty miles from the base of the mountain that Canterlot rested on. Looking around I smiled and nodding turned back to them.
"This'll work. Now. Do you want just a small demo or would you want to see what I should be capable of?" The four looked between themselves before Twilight spoke up.
"We need to know what you truly can do." Taking a more serious tone, I nodded and started to walk away.
"Very well. Full out it is, just a little advice. You might want to cast a shield spell and pump it up as much as you can. I really don't know the limits of my power." That drew some gasps from the onlookers. As I walked away, I started going over what I could do. I knew I could go SSJ3, but I didn't know if I could go beyond that. When I hit the fifty yard mark I figured I was far enough away and turned around. Sure enough, there was a protective bubble around them.
"Oops! Hold on a minute." As I started walking back towards them, I removed the ornate gi from my upper body and my shades. Waving at my daughter, I set both items on her back. As I turned to head back to my position, I heard a gasp. I knew who it was and why she did it. Even though I have a different body, I still had the tattoo of Luna's cutie mark on my right shoulder. Looking back at her I smiled.
"Now you know."
When I got back to my previous position, I turned to face them. Gradually or all out I wondered, then a memory came to me. It was when Goku did his epic transformation to SSJ3 during Fusion Reborn. Grinning to myself I thought out loud.
"This should be fun!"
