High in the clouds, above the radiation, toxins, the creatures and survivors of the wastelands live the Pegasi Ponies. The Enclave protects and rules over them. Any who go against them are sentenced to death by banishment to the wastelands below. They are call Dashites.

Cloudsdale was destroyed in the great war, which cause the rise of the Enclave and shutting up of the sky by the Enclave for the safety of the Pegusi. New cities, like New Cloudsdale were built, and plenty of towns dot the cloud “ground.”

The majority of the land is cloud farmed, a late war Technology. It was a direct response to the destruction of the Earth Pony farms during the war. It was the only way the Enclave survived so long. Even two hundred years later, new farms are being sprung up in the northernmost reaches at the tips of the Enclave.

The Enclave is broken up into districts and most are under close watch. Population laws limit families to two offspring.

Like all farms, the cloud farmers are a community. Like all farms, they also supported each other, especially in planting and harvesting times.

Most of the housing was built by maintenance pegasi, at the request of the future farm owners. Farm houses were top priority in the farming districts. But Barns, barns required both wood or steel, as well as clouds. And no farmer trusted their barn to be worked on but by anypony but a fellow farmer.

The Farming Ponies out that far have little to do with the Enclave directly and for the most parts, do what they have done for the past almost 200 years. Harvest time brings out all the carts and a mass expedition to the local town for trade. Enclave soldiers organized and gather the incoming food as their tax.

That was all the farming families had to do with the Enclave, although they are some of the most loyal citizens, who find it their duty to work hard every day, all day, to feed the Pegasus. They are peaceful Pegasi who wanted no trouble. Few would leave to join the Enclave military. Few had reason to and none had a problem with service. But their duty was to farm.

Shadow Flare must keep his community and foundation in order to survive. A doubled edged sword. If he keeps himself, he can push through anything. If he loses it...

Author's Note

To start, this story's writing origins go back to 2013. Soon after I read the original Fallout Equestria. It has taken time to come back around and put the time into this story it needs and the changes required as I have become a excellent writer. I am glad to be finally getting back to it.

Bear with me, as I do not write with a common writing style. I write in the rare 'Third Person omniscient'. In other words the characters are viewed in third person and I tell you what they think, feel, see and hear and isall knowing. It works best with dealing with multiple main characters, like I usually do.

I hope you enjoy the way I write. Each writer has their own unique, stamp. One can mimic another author, but never be exactly that author. Style is just like a fingerprint, unique to each author.
