Ch. 2 First ObstacleView OnlineAn Adventure awaitsCh. 2 First ObstacleSunshine was walking down the road, checking her bags on last time listing everything she had in her bag in her head just to make sure that it was all there. She looks up to notice that there was a pony laying in the middle of the road, just laying there she couldn’t tell if he was injured or not but he looked asleep as if blissfully unaware about the space he was taking up. She walks up to the sleeping stallion, looking at his features. Sunshine noticed that he was actually a Thestral, that’s probably why he was sleeping in the middle of the day on the road. He was a light gray, which was unusual for bat ponies, what was weirder though was his mane had which was a base white but had rainbow streaks. She noticed the same with his tail, his Cutie Mark appeared to be eight stars. She poked him slightly to see if he would wake up. “Sir, Excuse me. Please wake up, your in the middle of the road it’s not a very good place to sleep.” Her plead was unheard to the sleeping pony, he was passed out. She tries again this time shaking him slightly. “Wake up your going to get injured if you don’t move!” she shouts slightly. He jumps up at the shout that was in his ear, he gives her a slight glare as he coughs slightly. “What was that for? I was trying to sleep its in mid morning, the sun is way too bright for me to be awake.” He states Grumpily. Sunshine looks at him smiling slightly. “Sorry, i just didn't want somepony with a wagon to run you over. Also there is a town very close that i just happened to come from. It's only about a Seventeen minute fly to there.” She points her left forehoof in the direction she came from. “Also i'm Sunshine! It’s nice to meet you, sorry again about the rude wake up but you just kept sleeping away.” He shrugs and looks in the direction. “Thanks i guess, my name is Sparkie. I guess i could head that way once i wake up more. It's kinda hard to see in the daylight though with my eyes.” He looks back at her Sparkie then looks away and starts to fly off, Sunshine watches as he flies off. “What a grumpy stallion, he shouldn’t sleep in the middle of the road.” She thought out loud to herself as she started her journey once more. She continues walking down the path, humming to herself happily not really paying attention to where she is going as she’s happy to just get out and have an adventure. She happens to come upon a broken bridge. Not knowing how to get over it as the water is running swiftly and there seems to be no other routes. All blocked by trees, she notices something in the middle of the water. At first she thought it was a rock but noticed that it had scales. Rocks dont have scales. She follows the ‘rocks’ until she finds a water dragon. “Umm excuse me? Could you please help me across? The bridge is broken up there.” The dragon turns around and looks at her. The dragon states in a high pitched voice “Sure please give me a second, i-i uh was kinda busy but yeah.” they stutter slightly. Sunshine was confused by what was said but sits and waits for the dragon to move her to the other side of the river. The dragon after a few more minutes picks her up and puts her on the other side of the river. “Thank you alot for the help dragon, i really appreciates it!” She starts to skip away leaving the dragon to tend to their own business, as it starts to get dark she looks around for a place to camp. She comes along what looks like a campsite, she sighs in relief at the lucky break. The trip taking a bit more energy than she would’ve thought for just starting out.
Ch. 3 On Her WayView OnlineAn Adventure awaitsCh. 3 On Her WaySunshine woke up with a yawn, sitting up looking around at the inside of her tent. Glad that nothing had tried to do anything to her while she was sleeping on the side of the trail. She starts to pack up her tent, taking off the tarp and then collapsing the tent. As she finishes taking down the tent she notices something coming down the trail. She squints to see what it is coming down the road coming right for her. She looks baffled as it is bipedal, it has many different body parts. A lion paw, a griffon talon, a reptile leg and a goat hoof, as well as a bat wing and a pegasi wing. She stared as she realized that it was discord, the spirit of chaos. She tries to pack faster, she looks back up to see how close he is. He isn’t where he was or anywhere near, she looks back to her stuff and discord is hanging down from a tree in front of her. Sunshine yelps and jumps back at the sudden surprise in so close to her. “D-discord how good to see you.. If you’ll excuse me i'm trying to pack up my camp to set off on my journey once again.” She says trying not to look in discords eyes, he chuckles and snaps his paw switching to an upright position. “Ho ho ho my dear, where do you happen to be off to in such a hurry?” He says, snapping his paw again eating a sandvich that he got from who knows where. Sunshine looks up at him again. “I'm going on an adventure as i'm was getting bored all by myself in my lonely and quiet home, i wanted to go out and do something fun in order to livin my life up a little bit.” She notices he makes a sound that sounds like a deep Nom nom nom as he chews on the sandwich. “Well my young blue cotton candy, i can think of an adventure you can take.” He snaps his paws and they both end up in a room with one way out which looked like a metal door. Sunshine looks at discord, she notices that they are both wearing clothes. Discord a shirt with some metal objects on the front and on his sleeve of what looks like a minotaur fist. On hers looked like a cross symbol. “Discord take me back to my campsite! I don't want to be wherever this is. I want to do my own adventure.” She says angrily giving discord a slight glare. He chuckles and disappears with a poof leaving her there for a minute. She sits there not knowing what to do, she then poofs back to her campsite really confused but shrugs. “Ugh he always managed to do more weird crap to me more than other ponies.” She scoffs. She goes back to packing quickly, setting everything into her bag and settling it onto the middle of her back. She starts off once again brushing off anything to do with discord as to not mess with her anymore than it needed to. She continues on the path for a while, coming to a split road. Each road leading to different types of area than the other, she sits contemplating on which to go down. After about seven or so minutes thinking she decides to go down the road that had a sign pointing towards canterlot. The more she walks the more she notices something about the road that she is walking down, the path looks very hardly traveled even though it looks like it leads straight to canterlot. She then notices why it does look very traveled. There is a bush of poison joke sitting in the middle of the road leading out each way into the forest around the path. She sighs slightly, but thinks to herself. ‘If this path goes this far of poison joke then the other path will have to be covered as well.’ she decides to see if she can either leap over it or use something to put over the patch of flowers to get across without getting pranked by the inviting blue petals of the flower. She notices a rather large leaf off to the side, it must’ve been left by somepony that tried to get through here and left it. Sunshine walks over and grabs the leaf moving over the patch of the flowers. She walks over the flowers, making sure even the edge of her hooves don’t touch the flower as she does not want to deal with any of the effects from the poison joke. She manages to get over the poison joke and continues on with her journey. Author's Note Who will she run into next? will it be friend or foe? who knows, everyone will just have to wait until my next chapter! Ch. 1 On the wayView OnlineAn Adventure awaitsCh. 1 On the waySunshine love was sitting at home feeling lonely, even after helping everypony she could she was still incredibly bored without having a partner to be around. The more that she sat around the more sad and the more angered she became. Finally she thought to herself that it was time to make a change in such plans, She packed some of the essentials she needed. Food, water, entertainment, that was for the long trip she had planned to take. She took around one last time before walking out of her house and locking the door. She planned to stop at her friends house to see about getting some wards put up around her house while she was gone. She walked down the way until she happened upon her destination, a big crystal tree. She walked up to it, looking at it in slight amazement. No matter how many times that Sunshine had seen the castle it had always managed to amaze her at how beautiful it was. The closer that sunshine got she noticed something slightly odd, The crystal seemed to be glowing a bright bluish color. As Sunshine got to the door and knocked, she heard an explosion from inside. Concerned for her friend she opened the door and looked inside to see what had exploded. “Hello, what happened? Twilight are you okay?” Sunshine said loudly so that hopefully Twilight or her assistant Spike could hear her. Sunshine hears coughing as she enters the next room and see’s somepony walking around a corner. “Sunshine is that you? Sorry about that we were testing a new potion and Spike got a potion mixed up another and it exploded.” she says dusting some soot off of her coat? Sunshine looks at her and giggles slightly. “As long as you’re alright twilight i don’t see to much of a problem. Hey Twi do you think i could ask a favor once your done with the cleaning up?” She asks after coughing slightly from the smoke in the air. Twilight nods smiling. “Of course Sunshine what do you need? It might take me a few to get this mess cleaned up but with spike helping it shouldn’t take too long for me to get it done.” Sunshine nods. “Take your time, but when you do get a chance. Could you put up a magic barrier around my house? I'm going away for a little while i dont want anypony to break in or anything to go bad while i’m gone. Twilight gives a nod of acknowledgement, she starts to walk back in floating a broom in her magic. “Thank you twilight i really appreciate the help!” Sunshine says gratefully. Sunshine heads for the door waving to twilight as she exits, grabbing her bags she had set on the stairway. Heading for the edge of town, she looked back once more and began her journey towards the unknown she had planned to venture in search of a companion.
