Several years have gone by since the return of Princess Luna. After all these years, she wanted to be in command over Equestria, believing her ways of rule would be superior to that of Princess Celestia's. Mere arguments elevated to nation-wide civil unrest. Eventually, one unnamed pony went too far and actually killed another with different beliefs. The news spread through Equestria fast, and soon Twilight and her friends were talking about it restlessly. The only problem was that not all shared the same beliefs and ideals. Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack sided with the Solar Empire, while Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity believed the New Lunar Republic would be better for all of Equestria. Shortly after the murder, a call to arms was made, and a seven year war followed.
