Chapter 1: A Normal Day With a Memory
Author's Note
Sorry for those who hope for a story update. However, I hope this would help. Another Displace and hopefully a bit better then my last one, story. This chapter is more of a test chapter to see if I've done better or still need assistance, if so please tell me.
As the title goes its not interesting but if its the opposite then by all means tell me and I'll change the title, if you have a suggestion of one please speak your mind.
Those that have Italic, it means either the word stretch a bit longer, that he/she/it is talking in their heads, or a memory/flashback/dream is in happening.
Those that have << >>, it means They are using telepathy or separate language which will have only one < > on then.
If bold then thats putting more pressure/strain/ or anger in the word.
Thats all I have to say so please, relax, read, and let your own imagination picture the world you read.
Chapter 1: A Normal Day With a Memory
It was a night and the dark blue sky lit up by stars like thousand or more candles lit up along its fellow company, the moon. Where the night gives many time for rest and relax in their own homes, where they feel safe and secure and sleep with no fear of being attacked. It was a quiet night too, but somewhere else is another story….
“.... No!”
Far away from equestrian border, an island to the west, tower covered in illusion runes and mechanical part. In a viewpoint room, two individuals stood on a balcony. A Human and a tiny fairy, guess who I am. You know what, never mind, I am the human.
From back of the head to the upfront is a silver spiky hair where few spike strands going downwards on the right of my face where few slightly visibly block that side eye. Features are quite slim with some muscular built, more of a male variety with peach skin except for my right tan arm.
I was wearing a Black Heart set from, God Eaters. From the collarbone, above the hips and sleeves up to the wrist is an open black leather jacket that has a light grey undershirt. Black jeans with thick cement colored leather X-shape ring just below the knee that has a few textures of light cuts for effect and have shoes for running.
Who floats beside me is a ball of white blue light with fairy wings. However, if you look closer and see through the glowing light reveals a young teenage girl? Only two single stripe of white blue fabric, one around her chest and one on her waist to thigh where it cover her C size bust and lower parts. Her pale peach skin with white blue long hair (white is near the ends), and sky blue eyes with glisten pale pink lip.
My names Lunula X Luna but I prefer Crescent or X, she is Nym Navi also known as Nym or Navi from The Legend of Zelda. Now that is out of the way, let us get back to the program.
“Why nooot!” Nym pouts, cheeks puff out cutely. “All we ever do is stay and train in this gloomy old tower! We even have a rift world so why can’t we stay there?”
Raise one hand up that three fingers are sticking out as I explain. “Three reasons. One;” Folds two fingers with only my forefinger is remain up. “That place is halfway done from repairs I plan in, and the training ground isn’t finished yet. Two;” Raise a second finger with my previous. “I rather not meet anyone in this world.” Soon after I raise a third finger along two others. “And three, if you’re that bored then study up in the scholar's room then or look around the island.” I said to her. I was not in the mood for her restlessness in rushing reconstruction of our new workplace.
“But that’s boring! My wings will get tired.” Nym whined. A thought came to mind change her boredom into excitement as she tried pulling my jacket sleeve only to disturb it slightly. “Then let me have a growth potion then!” She said excitedly just to deflate by my frown.
“Out of us two, you’re the one who made the potion. If I recall, you only been able to make a minor duration growth, and drank it all, whole in one.” Re-collect her thoughts on what occurred.
She was having a time of her life being human size, literally. But what I remember is a bit different. I couldn’t help but groan when she act all carefree and not caring for her clothes being gone, I had to avert my eyes from her naked body. There was a reason why I said “minor” since it did have a hormone enhancers and, lets just say it was a memorable and embarrassing event I wish to never remembered.
I shuddered. “I really don’t want to remember that, ever, again.”
She stops glowing and lay on the ridge of my nose, giving me her half lid, bedroom eyes. “Oh I saw you looking at me.” Her eyes fluttered into mine. Her eyes soon widen when she gave an audible; “Eep!” when she was grip around her stomach.
Wrap her around my forefinger and thumb, rolling my eyes with a smirk. “That didn’t work on me back then; it won’t work on me now.” I said, placing her on top of my right open palm while the little fairy cartoonishly puff her cheeks. Not really like being grab like that like a doll. “Oh don’t give me that.” Left forefinger reach out, tickling her expose side resulted in her giggling.
Gasps a couple of time before, finally, she gave in to laugher and giggling as she try to voice her own wishes for this tickling to stop. “Okay! Okay! You win!” Seeing that she means it; I stop. Given her the opportunity flee, she flies away as I chuckle at the scene.
As we both head to bed, tomorrow will be an interesting day, but I know my hope will be dashed.

Snow… water vapor frozen into ice crystals… they blurred passed my vision. Everything as far is I can see is white fallen snow and more on the floor, snow covered pine trees spines ruffles lightly against the cold snowstorm.
My ears heard my own breath rasped in my throat. Visible hot air escapes my breathes and not two seconds later it dissipates.
My feet trudging through deep snow concealed ground that crunch wherever I step while leaving trails of foot holes in my wake. Thoughts of stopping for a breather is unnecessary. My only thoughts are home and home alone, that's my objective after all.
My chest hunched over slightly, left hand gripped the right organic arm that tense, relax and squirm in unpredictable patterns of pain erupt within me. It hurts, think of a parasite in your bloodstreams that rips me apart little by little and replace it with itself. That's how it feels.
“Hurts… So, much, hurt…” I said in a quivering, dark tone.
Heading up the snow covered mountain slope, I have to endure my turmoil and hurt like snakes venom!
Unfocus eyes loom ahead on the tippy-top summit where a big shadow gets my attention. Was a run down shelter in a flat snow clearing that gain some rust over its years, my safe haven!
Pick up my pace as best as possible, grunting. I don’t care if I’m in pain; I Need to persevere! No room for exhaustions, no hesitation….
Reached my destination I gave a small, sigh of relief. My normal hand push the door open with a nice “reeee”. That would have taken five people to push open a rusted, metal door and that would only open slowly.
Not much to show with only two chairs, a single wooden table between both seats and a basket of fruits. Fruit Basket from my own handmade shrine, there were a few people who was kind enough to at least leave a meal or two once a week, or more in a week if they are more generous or show some respect. I don’t hate anyone that isn’t one of them, they have their own idea of what I am.
Might as well give you my look profile as best as I can starting with top to bottom.
The silver spiky hair got across my back spine of my neck up towards the front where few spiked downwards on the right side of my face where few slightly past my right garnet eyes line of sight. My skin is light peach color.
I wore over a black metal button shirt where a right sleeve is ripped is a white jacket that has been torn on the right side where it hang around my neck like a cape. Black jeans with a thick cement colored leather X-shape ring just below the knee that has a few texture of light cuts for effect and have shoes for running. My most distinguishing feature of them all is a dark red, organic, aragami right arm that have few edges flare back to the elbow and at the upper arm to shoulder is a short turn up to the shoulder like a upper arm plate made from the same material.
On the table were three things. One is a Wish Stone, second is fruit basket, lastly…
I reached for the picture, and looked at it. It was a photo of my family, all that's left as I seek for some sort of small comfort. Tears trickle down my face. Damn it, Damn it all! “Why couldn’t this happen to somebody else!” Yell out with a bang of my right fist like a hammer on the table with enough force to split it, yet it was not breaking. I couldn’t help but glare at the accursed stone and its power. If only I didn’t find the damn thing then none of this would’ve happen!
Whether a wishing stone…it just lays there, taunting me for my foolish wish that wasn’t even intensional. I grit my teeth at the blasted thing, wanting to smash it into hundreds of millions of pieces so badly! I try wishing for it to undo what it has done but it seems that I can’t just wish it if there's no equivalent exchange... I watched Fullmetal Alchemist and learnt about it and the philosopher's stone too... but this thing didn’t look like it at all… An orb that looked to fit in the palm of my hand, colored a sickly yellow thats clear where it was exposed to light a slim orange shard inside. So I thought of it as a wishing stone.
I take in a few deep breaths as well before letting it all out; no point in getting angry over this again. Calm down, I still have two uses of it left and it wouldn’t do me any good if I get all angry. Thoughts ran in my mind but shook away. What would I do now with this thing, what can I do?! My life is ruined! What can I do... Where… where can I go?
I couldn’t help but sigh sadly. “What do I do now...” I mulled over mentally, curling into a fetal position.
“Perhaps I can help with that.” I went all out defensive mode as I turned to the door to see a strange individual. The one who spoke wore a clean rubber coat and stood in place. It was odd that anyone would come up here, on this freezing tippy-top mountain as a matter of fact?
If this is who… or what I think it is, then this will be a BIG problem. One, she; (I think its a she with the voice being feminine) is here for a magical item and wants to take the philosopher's stone, or two she is just here to bother me. I hope it wasn’t either; I have enough problems as is. “Unless you want to lose this opportunity?” She offered. “After all;” she gestured at our surrounding on verification. “It would be better than this dreadful frostbitten freezer. Would you not agree?”
Sounds tempting but I know better. I said in a low tone. “That sounds all well and good, but, I don’t understand why I should be interested in this. Like, at all.” I want to grin at this but I didn’t, my smile has been long gone, ever since my change, really.
This girl; I guess, responded to my unamused expression. “What I am offering is a world unlike any other, all you have to do in exchange is hand over that stone.” She point at it then to her side with open palm upwards. “You see; That belongs to my employer and he really wants that back. Or... to be more pacific, my employer lost it during his travel from con to con. No, he doesn’t have reasons to use it, more likely he keeps it in his facility to prevent greedy morons from using it.” I quickly respond in case that was a question which would have been.
A world? For a stone that grant wishes, just to keep it away from greedy people? It must be some trick, a ploy to deceive me and let my guard down. Heh like that hasn’t happen to me before.
My right arm twitched and I was ready to bring it out if need be, I at least got some concept from experience and experimentation. Then that horrible, painful reaction returned; I use my other arm and grasp the other as aragami oracle cells have not been tamed over the entire course of existence.
“RRRAAAAAAAHHH!” I scream in pain once more as my arm throbs and flexes, whenever that happens that burning sensation in my chest returns that makes things even worse. I need to eat something; eat anything!
With great pain and intense struggle, I snach an apple and a watermelon and start scarfing it all down, not caring that there's another person in the room. If only I had a G.E Armlet, if only I did, I want this to end so badly, and I was so lost and lonely. But I have to face the facts that I don’t have any of that and nothing was going to stop it from invading so why bother think of this.
I finish off the rest of the fruits and the pain went away, bad news is that there was no food left! So if it happens again with nothing to sustain the cells from going wild then I would die!
I breath raggedly while sweating profusely, when I look back at her, she has not moved a muscle, but she spoke. “It seems that you have used it, and that this pitiful state you are in is the result.” She gestures towards me and have to admit she's right on the dot. “However;” I can barely see a small smile on her face as she continues. “I have something for a situation like this. But, it’s definitely, not for free,” She held her left hand out. “Do we have a deal, sir…?”
Look at her hand for a bit before averting my eyes away, then looked back at her cloaked face and said in weak somber voice. “I don’t have a name, not anymore…But... call me, X….”

Sitting up like a whiplash, I gasp in cold dreaded sweat over my now clammy hands and panic face! My mem- no, his memories, not mine! Theses memories are both productive but bad as well, having memories belong to my past carnation into me and constant strain throughout my mind. Only myself or counterself can effect my mind, if they die, they’re memories goes to me; The original; as one memory came to mind. I had to take them out and place them in Memory orbs before they fill in to me too much and cause a concussion.
I try my best to calm down, that moment of fear flushed away like showers. Speaking of which….
After fifty minutes of shower and accidentally woken up Nym who isn’t bothered by this since this happen before, I was getting ready for one of the boringest work ever.
Rift Security, whoopie...
Two hours later as the sunrises, things got to much pressure for me from being stress and from boredom. That change to frustration.
Sitting in my chair reading a report, to my dismay, it concerns a Rift Route 408. Apparently, that root has been dry thin and words have it that it will snap within the end of the month, Rift Drone 165 that has not arrived yesterday and need help.

Rift Drone 165 has not reach within our destination and request a Rift Drone 165 or another drone sent within two weeks prior sir.
From Rift Drone 201
Arm that has been holding parchment slacked when a long sigh slips my lip in frustrations. I yelled. “RIFT DRONE 165 REPORT!”
A box like robot with binocular shape head and turret wheels roll as fast as it could, stop right near my left side. It looks like Wall-E except with a few small tools.
Their skinny arm with three flat plate fingers did a salute only to shrink back by my glare.
“This is the eleventh time you miss duty. I told you, one more time missing your duties and you’ll be going to the Towers Underground!” Facepalm at my outburst I growled. “Rift Drone 166, dispatch and head to Rift Route 408 immediately!” A beep went off for everyone to know that it got the message. Looked down on Rift Drone 165, I told it strainly. “You go on standby in your power down station until I decide what to do with you.”
It didn’t stay long after as it race off at its destination. Sighing I stood up and with a note telling Nym where I have gone to before Teleport to one of the warp points.
{Equestria, Near Everfree Forest edge, Old Teleport Stone Clearing}
Open my eyes to see myself in a forest clearing. The flora and fauna are dark and sense of dread all around, barely have much light that gave a plain forest a creepy and tandabus look. Not the same as the show but more frightening to newcomers, more likely for outsiders that aren’t from Equis.
Turn my head left and right for any indications on where this port is, only to find nothing but trees. Only indication is a flood of light pass between trees and treelines leaves. ‘Everfree Forest... Where it follows its own of rules.’ Seeing everything is safe; I think, I walk for that light, weave between trees carefully. I can take care of myself in a fight. Cautious is the best part of valor, or something. Every step I take of feelings of anticipation. But before I can get any further a beep came along and mental curse to myself before using the teleporter to return to the tower.
