Princess Cadence is Twilight Sparkle's foalsitter. Celestia had entrusted her with this task to help nurture and raise the young, talented unicorn. This close relationship with the family had led to the start of a relationship with Twilight's older brother, Shining Armor.

However as the months pass, Cadence begins to feel differently towards the foal she was tasked with watching. She loves Shining Armor, so then why does she desperately want to be with Twilight?
