Twilight and her friends are attacked and nearly killed on their way back from their "friendship retreat"! Princess Celestia fearing for the lives of both her former student and the other elements of harmony calls upon some "pony" she trusts dearly to watch over them until the threat is ended and Twilight is surprised to see a ghost from her childhood and neither are too happy about it. What happened between them in the past? Will they be able to come to terms with each other? Can this "stallion" even be trusted? Just who is behind all of this, and what is Celestia not telling them about the attempt on Twilight's life?.....

This story begins near the end of season seven, episode two "All Bottled Up". It will share some story/canon with earlier seasons and will somewhat follow the rest of season seven and "My Little Pony: The Movie". It will then diverge off into its own canon, although I may also incorporate some bits and pieces from some of the comics.
