As twilight's friends got older she started to get bored.
She still liked being with her maybe not as energetic friends, but with each night she started looking more into stars, she couldn't stop herself from looking into constellations or creating new ones from the moment the sun got down to the time it would rise again.
Then it started, first, she built an entire telescope complex so she could study them closer. Then after some time, her hunger for more knowledge increased and she requested even more money to build a high-atmosphere telescope supported by a balloon array.
With that Celestia started to realize that this wouldn't be enough for Twilight, she would request more and more money so she could build more complicated structures to reach closer to her obsession, and with some hesitation, she made a decision and she called twilight for an audience...
