The Lunatic Guardian

At the launch pad, Colonel Midnight Shield waits for her squad to assemble, so that they could exterminate the existing Rebels. The remaining squad members arrive at the launch pad a few minutes later. "Ma'am everyone is here, ready to move out."

Midday Sword was ready standing on a small platform, where all of his four legs were locked in. After everyone else got on their platform, Midnight Shield got on her own platform locking her legs into the platform. Looking in ahead, seeing a long narrow tunnel, which goes slightly upward. The tunnel has five rails in total, one for every platform. Essentially for each alicorn. Before proceeding Midnight Shield asks: "Are you all ready to begin?" she asked looking to her left to Midday Sword and Midday Shield gave a nod. She looks on over to her right getting nods from Midnight Sword and Midnight Bandage as well. "Ok then let's fly." Midnight Shield says activating the mechanism with a spell. After the spell had activated all five platforms accelerate rushing forward at very high speeds heading down the narrow tunnel. Once they reached the end of the tunnel, the locks on their legs opened up releasing them. Everypony spreads their wings as they get launched out at high speeds. Flying like an arrow at the speed near a Sonic Rainboom itself, soaring through the sky together in a tight formation.

"Good Job, Major Midday Shield!" Midnight Shield shouted to the alicorn to her left that was a white and blue alicorn, "Report, what is our intel, where is the base and how many rebels are it this time." Midnight Shield looked towards a black alicorn to her right, who began to speak.

"Their base is at the foot of Mount Ever Hoof, a bit north of the location, where the Crystal Empire had vanished. Our Intel says we have a total of 25 Rebels, possibly more." Captain Midnight Sword reported briefly.

"Good Job, Captain Midnight Sword, so let's go. I will make a plan on our way there, everyone get ready and remember to activate your cloaking spell; so no one except our queen knows that we exist as a unit." Midnight Shield commands activated her cloaking spell shortly after. Making her appear to be a Unicorn, while 2 of the others looked like earth ponies and the other 2 look like pegasi all following after Midnight Shield.

After a few minutes in the sky, Midnight Shield yells: "Ready for landing we are going down!"

"Yes Ma'am", everyone yells following after her going down to the ground landing. After everyone landed: "No one hurt? Is everyone fine?" Midnight Shield asks looking around the area.

"No one is hurt, everyone is fine," The black and red alicorn confirmed.

Midday Sword began to speak next: "So nothing for you to do Lieutenant Colonel Midnight Bandage." He spoke with a wide smile on his face.

"Stop it Midday Sword, and get ready. We’re starting our standard procedure, Midday Shield and I are going in the front. Midday Sword and Midnight Sword are going behind us, to be our back up. Possibly even flanking the rebels. Midnight Bandage, you will watch our back and if one of us gets hurt to get him or her out of here. Our Target is the leader of this rebel group. I want him Alive, do with the rest what you want I don't care. Just as long that they’re unconscious or dead, oh and take only one prisoner per each of us, so it will be a maximum of 6 Rebels leaving this base. . ."

"Yes, Ma'am." Everyone pulls out their weapons. Midnight Shield took out her dark blue katana, Midday Shield a claymore and a shield, Midnight Sword pulled out his Nodachi, while Midday Sword pulls a Long Sword and Midnight Bandage took out a Longbow of her back.

"Oh, not the black katana ma'am?" Midday Sword asked confused.

Midnight shook her head, "No not for something like these scum rebels, I only pull it out when I kill the boss of a group. But that aside, get ready we are breaching now." Midnight Shield stated placing breaches on the main door.

"Oh look, ma'am, we have found all the guards, there is only but a few. May I take care of them?" Midday Sword asks getting ready to charge on to a patrol, that consisted about around 3 ponys.

"You may take out 2 of them, we still need to know who their leader is," Midnight Shield explained.

Midday Sword smiled cockily "Okay I’ll try to hold back, but I won't promise anything. If they aren't good enough then it's not my fault."

"Yeah, Yeah, I kno-" Midnight Shield was interrupted by one of the rebels.

"Hey Don't move and drop your weapons or we will kill you," the rebels all got into battle position.

While Midnight Shield's squad looked terrified towards Midnight Shield, then turning back towards the rebels. "Midday Sword be a dear and leave me the one who interrupted me." Midnight Shield said with a nasty smile closing her eyes on Midday Sword.

"Y-Y-Y-Yes Ma'am!" Midday Sword stuttered out charging in. Quickly cutting the head of the two who were on the left and right of the one rebel who interrupted. Kicking him towards Midnight Shield.

"So you are the one who interrupted me just a few seconds ago?" Midnight Shield said facing down to the rebel that interrupted her. "How do you want to die, the painful way or the painless way? Well to answer me. . . just tell me where your leader is." Midnight Shield opens her glowing red Dragon Eye. "So what is it?" She asked darkly sending a shiver down the rebel’s spine.

The rebel stared back at her "I-I-I Don't know what you mean, and I will never tell you where our leader is," he stuttered out shaking. "Oh look, Midday Shield, the rebel is scared." Midnight Shield laughs scaring the rebel further.

"Yeah Sister, he is scared like a little frog against an elephant, so its the long way right? Do you want help or do you want to be alone with him?" Midday Shield asked looking at the rebel.

Midnight Shield smirked down at the rebel, "I think I want to be alone, but first Squad secure the room and all exits of this room." Midnight Shield commands.

"Yes, Ma'am." Everypony splits up securing every doorway and every window so that nothing can get in or out. "Everything secure ma'am." Midday Shield stated proudly standing beside a closed door.

"Thank you all, now to you rebel, it's your last chance tell me what I want and it will be quick and painless." Midnight Shield said again with her signature nasty smile towards the captured rebel.

"I will never tell you what you want, even if my life is at stake!" The rebel retorted spitting on her face.

Midnight Shield only laughed lightly in response, wiping the spit off, "Oh now you have done it. Where should I start? Well for starters. . . construct a cross where I can bind him to. I want to start at something very evil by crucifying him. Midday Sword please bind him onto it while I get my tools, oh and no gag I want to enjoy this." She explained activating a spell which created a portal between dimensions. Going into the portal, quickly getting a bag with some tools in it. Coming back to rejoin her squad which built the cross, tying the rebel to the cross.

"He still won't talk about his leader." Midnight Bandage said shaking her head.

Midnight uncaringly smiled, "Oh well if he doesn't want to talk, then we have no use for him. . . only some play time." She pulled out a few different kinds of knives out from the bag looking over to the rebel, "Do you have kids?" She asked brandishing the blades in front of him threateningly.

"No not yet, but after our mission, I will make some with my wife." The rebel said giving Midnight Shield a harsh glare, "Oh no, I said something I didn't want to say." He sighed regretfully.

"So you have a wife, well to bad for her, don't you know that the families of rebels get the same punishment as the one rebel in that family? But you shouldn't care about it now because you will die the most painful way I can do right now. Unless you want to talk and don't forget the same will happen to your wife." Midnight Shield says with a sinister smile on her face, with the intensive dark red glow coming from her dragon eye. "Do you even know who you are talking to, or do you even want to know?" She asked licking her lips.

"Why should I know you? You’re just a black unicorn pony with a blue and black mane and a red... Drago-," the rebel was hit with a look of realization more shocked and terrified than ever, "Oh no, don't tell me, you are the elite squad of the queen?! No-no-no-no-no, why are you here?! How fast are you, and why are you he-, wait I will talk! Just let my family live they don't know that I’m a rebel." The rebel said like a whimpering puppy.

"Oh, you want to talk now? Well, I told you it doesn't matter really but ok, I promise you that I will not kill your family. So start talking." Midnight Shield pulls her dark blue katana holding the blade next to his neck."

"Yes, our boss is a light blue unicorn with a white mane and tail, he hates the queen and we don't know his name we call him Arctic because he uses ice magic. He is behind a mirror in the main office. To pull it out you need to pull the ice magic book out of his bookshelf then the mirror should open up. Behind the mirror, you will find a hallway and a door, behind it is a bedroom. He should be there sleeping right now, I’m sorry for interrupting you and now please let my wife live." The rebel said accepting his fate to Midnight Shield.

"Huh, does anypony want a new pet?" Midnight Shield asked looking at everyone else in her Squad and no one responds, "It looks like I have a new “pet”, you may live but as my servant. If you have a problem with that, I can kill you right now, and your wife will get the same fate, so if you are my servant she will be too. If you die, well you should get it by now." Midnight Shield opens a portal. "Choose now, go in the portal and live or stay here and die."

The rebel got untied looking around, bows his head towards Midnight Shield and goes into the portal. Without a single word. The portal closes and everyone in the squad gets ready to move out again. "Everypony move out and clear the rest of the building and remember you may take one prisoner back home, you have 20 Minutes to clear the building. I’ll await you in the main Office."

"Yes Ma'am!", the whole squad says moving out in every direction away from the room. On the way to the main office, Midnight Shield thinks about what she will do with the rebel and his wife.

"Well, for now, I should think about how to capture the boss." She thought to herself entering the main office. After about 15 more minutes the rest of the squad enters the room and reports: "Building secured, we have killed every other Rebel we found, there was no one worth keeping."

Midnight Shield nodded her head, "Good Job everypony, get ready we will go in there now, Midnight Bandage pull the book out of the Bookshelf, and then get in there and capture him alive." she commands sternly. Midnight Bandage did as she was told; pulling the book. The mirror opens to reveal a corridor "Everypony after me and get ready we don't know what will await us," Everypony got behind Midnight Shield.

Getting to the door to the bedroom, Midnight Shield gives the signal to get ready and breaches the door; just a spell activates blowing a cold wind through the corridor.

"What was that?" Midday Shield asks confused by the sudden spell.

"I don't know, but I don't care it was just a small wind blow," Midnight Shield commented sneaking next to the bed seeing a stallion sleeping there. Midnight Shield signals the squad to secure the exit, completely surrounding the bed. After surrounding the bed Midnight Shield takes her black katana out from inside the sword sheath. Hitting the sleeping stallion on the neck so hard with the flat side of the sword, so that he was still living but unconscious. Tying him up and gags him. "Ok he was the last one here, so let's get going, get together I will use my teleportation spell, to take us home.” The Spell activates as the squad vanishes.

A few seconds later the squad arrives back at the launch pad, "ok guys cloaking spells off we’re finished here. Sister, could you please report that our Mission is cleared, I need to get ready for my new pets," Midday Shield nods leaving to inform the Queen. "Midnight Bandage please bring this rebel scum to the Dungeon, and check if he is still alive." Midnight Bandage salutes taking the rebel leader to the dungeon, "You two are dismissed." Midday Sword and Midnight Sword bows towards Midnight Shield.

Back in her Room, Midnight Shield opens the Portal again, to get the rebel out and tells him: "Your first duty is to go to the head guard giving this," Midnight Shield gives him a letter and an emblem which looks like the cutie mark on her flank. "He will show you your new room, he is just across the hallway and before you go," pulling out a collar placing it on to the rebel, "this will prevent you from doing communication, attack, defense, and transportation magic, picking up weapons, or even trying to attack any one of the guards and trying to leave the Castle. Now go, about your wife. . . that will come later." The rebel bows then shortly leaves.

Midnight Shield goes leaves her room heading towards the cafeteria as Midnight Bandage runs to her: "Ma'am we have a problem, the wind that was there opened the door, I remember the spell, its an ice magic spell, which will freeze the intruder and teleports them to a random position and they will be frozen for at least 1000 years, We have to hurry to undo the Sp-" Midnight Bandage was interrupted by the spell, and was frozen and teleported away. Only a few seconds later the same happened to Midnight Shield. 2000 years Later the ice melts, Midnight Shield awakens in the desert near Somnambula.

Night wakes up from her Dream: "I think I now know who I am, and I don't like it," she said shaking her head.

Twilight walks up and asks: "Why shouldn't you like it?"

Night sighed, "My real name is Midnight Shield, I was a Colonel in an army of an empire which ruled over Equestria with an iron hoof. And my job was being in a special unit, that took care of rebels. But this was a long time ago. . . to be exact it was 2000 Years ago," Midnight Shield says slumping forward falling back to sleep.

Twilight says to Zecora "Oh no it's 06:00 in the morning her curse is acting up again. Can you take care of her for the day?" Twilight was vibrating on her hooves.

"Of course, leave her here, I’ll take care of her," Zecora says and Twilight leaves Zecora's home.
