A Journey Through the Gates of Hell.

Important! Please read: This is the first chapter of the second of my "Human Heroes of Equestria" Series. It focuses on three different humans as they help Equestria in different times.
Gabriel Richter in Medieval times, John Smith during World War 2, and a third human in modern times.
Hope you enjoy and, if possible, provide me with helpful tips to improve upon them.
A Journey Through the Gates of Hell.
August 20th, 1944, Beach near Equestria.
"Hey sis! I found where that noise came from!" Rosebud exclaimed.
The little filly and her older sister, Red Rose, were playing outside their home when a loud noice distracted them.
The source of the sound, as Rosebud had found, was a large object that fell out of the sky onto the beach.
"Rosebud, get away from that! It could be dangerous!" Red shouted.
Rosebud, ignoring her sisters warning, went inside the object. The filly was shocked by what she found. Bizarre creatures wearing different uniforms... Dead, except one.
"Ugh.... Need.... Help..." the creature said as it crawled out of the rubble.
"Red! Come quick! This creature needs help!" Rosebud shouted.
Her sister rushed in and used her magic to levitate the creature out of the object.
"What is this thing?" Rosebud asks.
"I don't know. But whatever it is, it needs help." Red Rose replied.
"If only we knew what happened here.".
June 6th, 1944, off the coast of Normandy, France.
"If only, but I highly doubt the Jerries would give up that easy John." McDonough, Daniel's boot camp friend, said.
They didn't know it at the time, but they were about to take part in the most decisive, and bloody, operation of the war... D-Day.
"Roebuck, McDonough get your asses into the landing craft!" Sargent Johnson yelled.
The two of them obeyed and got into the Higgins boat with the rest of the squad.
As they neared the beach head, they came under enemy fire.
"Damn it! Lower the ramp!" Lieutenant Mitchell shouted.
As the ramp lowered, machine guns opened fire on the soldiers. Bodies were ripped apart, some beyond recognition.
"Mommy!" a soldier cries as he tries to reattach his legs.
The surviving soldiers charge for the cliffs, once they get to the cliffs they climb up and descend into the enemy trenches.
Once in the trenches, the soldiers begin fighting the Germans in full on close-quarter combat.
Bayonets and knives cut through flesh and bone. Shotguns blow the limbs off of the German soldiers. The trenches pile with corpses, blood, and both external and internal body parts.
Daniel looks on in horror at the sight, but pulls himself together as Mitchell orders him and a couple of other soldiers, including McDonough, to clear out the bunkers that surround the trenches.
"Well Danny, looks like we get to team up on this one. I also heard a rumor that a Jerry Officer is in one of these bunkers, he ain't no ordinary officer either... He's got high standing in some damned secret Nazi group. Big target." McDonough said as they maneuver through the trenches.
"Yeah? Well if Fritz has secrets, lets steal 'em off the bastards cold, dead, corpse." Roebuck replied.
They clear out all the bunkers, killing and searching every Officer inside, but never found the man they hoped to find.
June 7th, 1944, Pointe Du Hoc.
The squad received orders, along with new soldiers and supplies, to hold the bunkers from a counterattack. After setting up positions, the Germans attacked in hopes of retaking the bunkers.
"Open fire! German Tiger!" Mitchell shouted as he spotted a Tiger Tank approach from the road.
Both sides fired on each other, Sargent Johnson was killed in the process by a blast from the Tiger Tank, leaving corpses piling up.
"Roebuck, McDonough. Get that bazooka and fire on the Tiger tank! Rogers, Taylor man the motors and help them out!" Mitchell shouted.
They did as ordered and within a few minutes the Tiger, alongside a good portion of the attacking forces, was destroyed.
After the battle, the remainder of the squad searched their fallen for the wounded. Among the dead were Lieutenant Mitchell, who was shot by a sniper, Privates Taylor and Rogers, and Private First Class McDonough.
"Fuck! You lousy Kraut bastards!!!" Daniel yelled as he found the corpse of his best friend.
Daniel Roebuck was one of the many who survived the battle but, because his entire squad was wiped out, was placed as a communications officer for another squad.
July 10th, 1944, Unspecified French Forest.
It was now a month and four days since the landing, and Roebuck was still getting used to his new position.
He and his new squad were sent into a forest after liberating a small town. Their mission: to locate and destroy a hidden Nazi bunker inside the forest, and find Oberstürmannfürth Hans Fischer. Alive if possible, dead if necessary.
Hans is believed to have been at Normandy but had relocated just as the battle had started.
"Remember, only kill Fischer if there's no other way. Got it?" Captain Lance tells the squad.
As the approach the bunker they are attacked by German soldiers. The survivors are taken to the bunker to be experimented on.
"Welcome Amerikan Soldiers. I am Hans Fischer, but you may call me Hans." Fischer says.
"Lets see now... Hmm... This one! I want this one! He has perfect Aryan features!" Hans exclaimed as he pointed to Roebuck.
The soldiers grabbed Roebuck and carried him to the main laboratory of the bunker.
There, it's explained that Hans and his research division are experimenting with some bizarre metal.
"Ah, my young freund. You and I are going to have so much fun together. You see, this metal was discovered in a unmarked medieval German grave. It has some, shall we say, unique properties and today you shall have the pleasure of experiencing them!" Hans explained as he began operating on Roebuck, before knocking him out.
He carved a small hole in Roebuck's head and placed a piece of the metal inside his brain. Than he sealed the hole and ordered the soldiers to kill the other members of Roebuck's squad.
Afterwards, Hans finished operating on Roebuck.
"My dear freund, you have no idea how much it pains me to let you leave here without using you as a weapon for the Third Reich but, as with most things, you must be set free and returned from where you came. But you are destined for greatness." Hans said as he carried Roebuck out of the bunker, destroying it and killing his fellow Germans in the process.
Several Hours Later.
"What the?! Sargent over here!! This man is still alive!" a soldier said as he found Roebuck.
"Get this man to the base! Step on it!" the sargent yelled.
At the base Roebuck is briefed on what had happened, and that he was going to be reassigned as a communications officer onboard a B-17 "Flying Fortress" Bomber.
But first, they gave him time to recuperate from his experiences.

Equestria Landing.
August 19th, 1944, Allied Airfield, France.
"Alright Danny boy, your station is here. We lost our last communications officer over Le Bourg-St.-Leonard yesterday. Hopefully you'll last longer than he did." the Captain explained as he showed Roebuck the communications station on the B-17.
Daniel looked at the radios and sat down, as they prepared to take off.
The bomber started and lifted into the sky.
"Alright Roebuck keep on that radio. We get in trouble it's our only line of communication to base." Captain James said.
The bomber got trapped in a storm while also being shot at by German Fighter planes.
"Roebuck! Get on that fucking radio and call for help!" Captain James screamed as his co-pilot was shot by incoming fire.
"Condor to base! Condor to base! We're stuck in a storm and are under fire from enemy fighters! Send help! Repeat! Send he- gott damn it!" Daniel yelled as bullets hit the radio.
"Captain! The radio's down! We have no way to contact the base!" Daniel said as bullets continued to hammer the bomber.
"Shit! They killed Calvin! Those bastards killed-" Robert yelled before having his head removed by enemy bullets.
"Captain! I'm out of ammo! I can't-" The front gunner yelled before the turret he was in blew up.
" Captain James! What do we do sir?" Daniel asked.
"Get the remaining gunners to shoot down as many Germans as possible." Captain James ordered.
Daniel looked around the bomber, he and James were the only ones alive.
Bullets continued to hammer the bomber until the engines blew out.
"Sir! Everyone else is dead! The engines just blew out!" Daniel exclaimed.
Captain James was quiet for a moment before responding.
"Get back to your station and hold on! I'm going to level us out!" Captain James said.
Daniel sat down at the destroyed radios. While sitting down, however, John's vision flashed to a beach than back to his situation.
He had been having flashes like that ever since he returned from the German bunker.
"Hang on! We're going down!!" Captain James yelled as the bomber went down.
August 20th, 1944, Equestria.
Rosebud and her sister, Red Rose, were playing outside.
They were trotting around their house when they heard, and felt, something big crash near their home, at the beach.
"What in the wide world of Equestria was that?" Red Rose asked as her and her sister ran towards the beach.
August 20th, 1944, Equestria, Hours Later.
"*heavy breathing* Where... Where am I?" Daniel asked as he checked his surroundings.
He was in a cabin from what he could tell. He was not wearing his uniform but was in his underwear.
He sat up and was about to leave when he heard the sound of hooves trotting towards the door.
"Hooves? " He thought. "These people allow horses in their home?
The door creaks open to reveal the owner of the trotting noise, a rose-colored pony with a blonde mane and matching tail.
The pony trotted towards him, allowing him to get a better look at it.
It had blue eyes, and, from what he could tell, was female.
"Hello. I see you're awake. I'm Red Rose, my sister and I rescued you from some sort of metal beast. Do not be afraid. Can you understand me?" Red Rose asked.
Daniel was too shocked to say anything so he just nodded.
"Good! Now, can you talk?" She asked.
"Y-yes... My name is Daniel Roebuck." Daniel replied.
"Nice to meet you Daniel. If you have any questions, feel free to ask." She said.
"I have one. Where am I?" He asked.
"You're in Equestria. You can find out more from Princess Celestia. Now, my turn. What happened to you?" She asked.
"I was a Private First Class in the United States Army. I was transferred to a bomber, the thing you found me in, as a radio operator. During our first bombing run, we got caught in a storm. Enemy aircraft opened fire on our bomber, leaving only me and Captain James alive. James stated we were going to crash. Next thing I know I'm here with a talking horse." Daniel said, finishing his story.
"Wow, that's horrible!" Red Rose exclaimed.
"Anyways, Rosebud and I fixed some food if you want any." Red Rose said as she left the room.
Daniel got out of the bed and followed her to the dining room, upon which he found out he was upstairs.
The food available was grilled cheese bread, salad, candy, ice-cream, but no meat.
"Hiya! I'm Rosebud, wow you're tall!" the little filly said.
She looked just like her sister except shorter.
"Hello cutie. I'm Daniel Roebuck." He replied.
They talked about their lives and other things while they ate.
August 20th, 1944, Beach, Equestria, 11:50 P.M.
"" Schultz said as he examined the remains of the bomber.
"" Hans Fischer replied.
He and his men had somehow ended up in Equestria in a attempt to find John Smith.
"" Hans explained to his soldiers.
They set up camp on the beach and sent scouts to look for locals.
"" Hans said to himself.
August 21st, 1944, 12:00 A.M. Canterlot, Equestria.
Celestia awoke suddenly, letting out a scream just loud enough for her Royal Guard to come to her rescue.
"Your highness? Everything alright?" One of the guards asked.
Celestia caught her breath and stated "I don't know... I felt a disturbance... When I raise the sun, ready a chariot and take me to the home of Red Rose and Rosebud. I must know if the man they found has any knowledge about it." Celestia said.
The guards looked at each other trying to figure what a "man" was before nodding to Celestia.
"I haven't sensed the presence of a human since... Richter..." Celestia said as she looked out her bedroom window.

Author's Note
This chapter takes place around the time of the ending of the last chapter, and is meant to show how he is reacting to his situation.
This also serves as a lead in to the upcoming chapter, and explain the disturbance Celestia felt.
Meanwhile (Short)
August 20th, 1944, 11:55 P.M., Red Rose and Rosebud's Home, Equestria.
"Why am I so accepting of all this?" Roebuck asked himself quietly
Daniel tried to wrap his head around what had happened. All he knew were the following:
He had been captured by the Nazis, was found in the forest, and was assigned as a radio operator onboard a B-17 Flying Fortress.
His bomber got caught in a storm and was attacked.
Somehow his bomber crashed on a beach in a strange world inhabited by magical talking horses.
And for some unknown reason, he was very accepting of all this.
He was thinking about all this when Rosebud entered his room.
"Hiya Mr. Roebuck." Rosebud said as she entered the room.
"What are you doing? It's past 11:00 shouldn't you be in bed?" Roebuck asked.
"Well.... I was wondering if you'd tell me about how you ended up here." She said as she sat on the edge of his bed.
"Okay.." Daniel said while trying to come up with a child-friendly version of his story.
"You see, I was from a place called "Earth", born in the nation of "The United States of America" often abbreviated as U.S.A. during the year 1939, however, a country known as Germany under orders of it's leader Adolf Hitler invaded and took control of Poland and, as a result, started World War 2. In June of 1940 the Nazis controlled much of Europe and were expanding fast. On June 6th 1944, two weeks after my eighteenth birthday and boot camp training, I took part in Operation: Overlord: A operation dedicated to freeing Europe of Nazi Oppression. On my last ground-based mission in France, however, My team and I were captured by the Waffen-SS, the most elite of the Nazi Army, I have no memory of what happened afterwards except for waking up in the forest near the destroyed remains of the bunker. I was than transferred to a Bomber Plane as it's radio operator. During our first flight, however, we ended up trapped in a storm and under enemy fire so Captain James flew the bomber down. Next thing I know, I'm here... With you and your sister." He said.
Rosebud was amazed by the story and wanted to here more about Daniel himself, but the clock showed that it was just past 12:00 meaning it was time for her to go to bed.
Roebuck carried the little filly to her room and tucked her into her bed.
He did the same and fell fast asleep in his own bed.
Sleep was not kind to him.
He dreamt of a village on fire, it's inhabitants dead, and the Nazi flag flying above it as soldiers of the SS marched through the streets... Shooting the survivors. And through it all, he could do nothing but watch as the Nazis took control of Equestria, with Adolf Hitler declaring himself the Supreme Leader of Equestria for all eternity.

Also, from here on out Daniel Roebuck will be referred to primarily as Daniel. With exceptions of when he is referred to by Hans Fischer.
Finding Truth.
August 21st, 1944, Red Rose's Garden, Equestria.
Red Rose was watering her flowers when she heard Daniel doing his morning exercises.
"You're not in the army anymore, you know." She said with a giggle as he stopped to take a breathe.
"I know... It's just. I don't know. I feel like something is coming..." Daniel said.
"Well your right about that. Princess Celestia, our ruler, is supposed to come by today. Said she wants to meet with you." Red explained.
After breakfast, The Princesses chariot landed in front of the house. Everyone went out to greet Celestia.
"Princess Celestia. It's an honor to meet you Ma'am." Daniel said as he bowed to her.
"Daniel Roebuck I presume." She replied.
"Yes Ma'am."
"I'm here because I heard a human had arrived... And when I found out who you were and with whom you were staying with, I had to come by and meet you." Celestia said.
Red Rose and her sister led Celestia inside their home as Daniel kept eyeing her Royal Guard.
"Don't worry about them, Mister Roebuck, they're only here to protect me from any threat." She explained, catching Daniel off-guard.
"Oh. I was just curious. By the way, just call me Daniel... I figure since I'm not a soldier anymore I can go back to using my first name" He said.
Everyone entered the house with the exception of the guards, Celestia had ordered them to guard the house just in case, and sat down in the living room.
"So Daniel, I am under the impression you have something in your head which could have been the reason why you are here. If you do not mind, I would like to examinee it." Celestia explained.
Daniel agreed and Celestia used her magic to look through his head.
As she explored his mind, she also went into his memory.
When he was six years old, he would dream of being a soldier like his father. Around the same time, he was lured into an ally and beaten up by some bullies from his school.
"Daddy's not here to save you punk!" One of the bullies said. The others all agreed in unison.
"Back off... Or I'll.. I'll beat you up!" The young Daniel said.
"Looks like we got us a tough guy. Well squirt, looks like your gonna need a doctor because there's five of us, and only one of you." The leader said.
"Make that TWO you brats." A voice said from behind them.
They all turned around to see Daniels father, Jonathan Roebuck, walk out of the shadows.
"Mistah Roebuck?! Run yous guys!!!" One of the other bullies exclaimed as they all ran away.
"What? You babies are scared of a tired war vet and his six year old son? Very well. I'm calling all your parents!" Johnathan yelled at them as he walked Daniel home.
The memory changed to when Daniel was 16 years old.
His father died of polio and his mother became a alcoholic. He attempted to join the army but was too young.
He got a job to support his family, which consisted of himself and five siblings.
The memory changed again.
When Daniel turned Eighteen years old he signed up for the army.
His boot camp training was tough but he made a few friends.
After completing training he and his friends were shipped out to take part in the Bloodiest battle of World War 2.
After successfully taking the Pointe, the Allies began a set of campaigns to Liberate France from Nazi occupation and, as a result, take the fight directly to the Fatherland.
Daniel, however, was captured while searching for Oberstürmannfürth Hans Fischer.
The memory changed to Daniel being experimented on which, according to Daniel himself, he didn't remember.
"" The German scientist asked, Celestia understood him because his language was the same as Germane.
"Yes, Doctor, but please speak English. Our "friend" should be allowed to know what's going to happen to him." Fischer said.
"You, my young American friend, are about to become instrumental in bringing down Adolf Hitler and his puppet Reich. Once you have this implanted into your cerebral cortex, " Fischer said holding a piece of metal, "this metal is actually a piece of a gateway into another world. But even a little piece like this can still have the power of it's original form, all it needs are two things. A host. And energy." Fischer explained as he placed the metal inside Daniels head.
Celestia ended the memory and began to breathe heavily.
"You poor, poor soul.... We must remove that metal now!" She exclaimed as she used her magic to carefully and painlessly remove the metal from Daniels brain.
After removing it, Celestia placed it in a container alongside another metal piece just like it.
"What is that thing?" Daniel asked.
"When the first one was given to us, we assumed it was some sort of magic enhanced metal. Now I know it is really a piece to a portal... One that will likely be built in the future. But for now, we will focus on the present." Celestia said as she left.
Celestia was about to leave when a guard ran up to her.
"Your highness! We found more "hu-mans" camped out on the beach where Daniels bomb thingamajig crashed." The Guard reported.
"A rescue party perhaps." Celestia suggested.
"No," Daniel interrupted. "as far as the Allies are concerned, my team and I were killed in action two days ago. Guard, what did these soldiers look like?" He asked.
"Well, they were wearing different colored outfits. Some wore green uniforms, some wore grey uniforms, and the others wore black uniforms. Oh, and they had this strange Emblem on their uniforms. One even had what looked like a skull in the center of his hat." The Guard finished.
"What!? No, it cannot be!" Daniel exclaimed.
"Why? What's wrong?" Celestia asked while everypony else was staring at Daniel.
"Those men are a part of the Waffen-SS. And if what I saw while Celestia was poking around in my mind was true. The man with the Deathshead hat emblem is more than likely Hans Fischer." Daniel said.
Sometime later, at the beach.
"" A soldier reported.
"" Richter exclaimed.
"" Fischer explained.
"" *Bang!* Richter was shot in the head by Fischer.
"<As I said, we must keep open minds while in this new universe we have entered. Richter here has proven himself unfit to be apart of the real Master Race. Now, soldier. I believe you said something about a unicorn wearing golden armor..." Fischer said as he holstered his weapon.
Meanwhile.
"That sounded like a gun shot." Daniel said as he and the group ran, or in the case of the ponies "trotted", towards the beach.
As they reached the beach, they spotted Hans Fischer and his men. Two soldiers appeared to have been throwing the corpse of a Waffen-SS Officer into the water.
"What are they doing?" Celestia asked.
"I don't know. But judging from the lack of heavy equipment, weapons, and vehicles... They aren't here to start a war." Daniel explained as he examined the beach.
"Want us to attack them? I'm asking you, by the way, Daniel." A guard said.
"No. They may not have weapons to start a war, but they have weapons non the less. Attacking them would be suicidal. Let's just take a diplomatic approach." Daniel explained.
"Agreed. I will go out there by myself and greet them. Guards stay here and guard the perimeter. We don't need anypony approaching them without knowing whether or not they're hostile." Celestia said as she trotted towards the beach.

A New World, A New Order.
August 21st, 1944, Beach, Equestria, 4:00 P.m.
Hans Fischer was sitting in his tent when he received some very interesting news.
"" A soldier said. "".
Hans got up and said ""
Hans left his tent and greeted Celestia.
"Hello your highness. I am Hans Fischer, leader of this group of soldiers." Hans said.
"Greetings Hans. I've been informed that your intentions here might not be in the best interests of my subjects. I have come here to make sure that's not true." Celestia said.
Hans walked over to her.
"Our intentions are purely for research purposes. My research purposes to be exact. I am a scientist as well as a soldier." Hans said.
Celestia was about to speak when a guard came rushing out of the forest.
"Princess Celestia! A village just north of here was attacked last night. We found..." The guard was in mid-sentence when he noticed the soldiers. "GET AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!" He yelled.
"What's wrong?" Celestia asked.
The guard launched himself at Hans, knocking him to the ground.
"These soldiers have the same style uniforms as the bodies we found! We believe they are the ones responsible for the destruction of the village!" He exclaimed.
"Hans Fischer! You best explain as to why you lied to me!" Celestia demanded.
"Princess Celestia, I can assure we are only here for peace! Even if we weren't, we don't have the man power nor weapons to destroy that village!" Hans exclaimed.
"Than how do you explain this!?" The guard yelled as he ordered his men to bring out the bodies.
True to his words, they were human corpses wearing German uniforms... But Hans did not recognize them.
"I don't know who these men were, but they were not MY soldiers." Hans said.
After a brief explanation and discovery of Evidence. It was deduced that another group of German soldiers had entered Equestria without Hans' knowledge.
"Why would they kill innocent ponies..." Celestia asked examining the remains of the village.
"Because they can. You see, Adolf Hitler believes strength and intimidation are the keys to victory... They're not. Science, compassion, friendship are." Hans said.
Celestia perked her head up.
"You know, you sound a lot like Opel Blitz. A scientist who, like yourself, dreamed big. He disappeared around twenty years ago... Never been seen or heard from since." Celestia said.
"Opel Blitz? That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. " Hans thought.
He and Celestia discussed about where the murderers would strike next, when all of a sudden.
"Princess! Major! We spotted soldiers heading towards a village... Only twenty miles from the first village." One of Fischer's soldiers reported.
They got up and made their way to the village. Daniel and the royal guard were already there.
"Princess Celestia. I've had the guards evacuate the village and plant explosives to surprise those bastards." Daniel reported.
"Thank you Daniel... And please watch your language." Celestia replied.
They waited until their targets were inside the village, than set off the explosives.
"Attack!" Daniel yelled as he led the royal guard into battle. He used his Thompson Submachine gun as he cut down the soldiers.
"We surrender! We surrender!" The officer yelled.
Celestia accepted his surrender, though Daniel and Hans both agreed that it was a bad idea.
"Who are you?" Celestia asked.
"I am Heinz Engel, my men and I came here in search of a way to preserve the Third Reich. When we saw the inhabitants, we were given orders to wipe them out! I swear that's all I know!" Heinz said.
Hans approached him with a look of anger on his face.
"Heinz Engel! You are responsible for the deaths of numerous innocent lives... I should have killed you in 1940." Hans said.
Celestia, confused, asked "What are you talking about?"
"This... Man... Is responsible for killing people who Hitler deemed "inferior." Heinz and I worked on the portal that brought us here until I caught the rat reporting my plan, to betray Hitler, to the Gestapo." Hans explained.
Celestia looked at the both of them. Hans was willing to kill a man. Whereas Heinz was no killer, just a coward who would do anything to save his own skin... Except kill.
"Hans, let him go." Celestia said in a motherly tone.
Hans, reluctantly, did as she said.
Celestia used her magic to read Heinz' mind. She learned that his troops had no back up... But did have several things on their side. Weapons, soldiers, and... The Tiger II, King Tiger, Panzer Tank.
She ordered her guards and Daniel Roebuck to ambush the convoy headed towards Ponyville.
Hans Fischer stayed behind on Celestia's orders.
"Hans Fischer... A clever alias for an equally clever man. Or should I say... Stallion." Celestia said with a smirk.
"I-i have no idea what you are talking about." He replied.
"Oh, but you do... Opel Blitz." Celestia said.
Immediately, Hans transformed from a human into a unicorn. He had olive green fur, blonde mane and tail, blue eyes, and was wearing a black uniform that matched his human disguise, minus the emblems and medals.
"The jigs up. I suppose I should explain myself... You see-" He explained how he ended up in the human world and why he joined the Nazi Party.
Hidden Nazi Bunker.
The general paced back and forth. A stern look on his face.
"" He said to his troops.
Red Rose and Rosebud's Home.
"Daniel!" Rosebud yelled as she ran toward him. "You're back!"
"He he. Yes we are sis. But please don't startle him, he's had a very trying day." Red Rose said as she grabbed the little filly in her hooves and carried her inside the house.

This starts out with flashbacks... You've been warned.
Here it is. Sorry for the long delay... I haven't had time to update in a while. Anyways, I hope you like it.
Opel Blitz
Sometime in 1916, Equestria
"Almost got it.." Said the OD green stallion.
He had been working on the Teleporter for months and was close to a break through, all he had to do was test it.
"There! I, Opel Blitz, Equestria's cheif scientist, have designed a portal into another world!" Opel Blitz said into his recorder.
After it was activated, the teleporter malfunctioned and sucked Doctor Blitz into it.
He was unconscious for a few seconds, than awoke to what sounded like thunder and screams.
Battle of the Somme
As Opel examined his surroundings, he realized that he was in what used to be a field of green, but now was mud and... Blood.
"Sweet Celestia..." Opel exclaimed.
He looked around at the battle and discovered the inhabitants, bizarre bipedal creatures.
He used his magic to disguise himself as one of them. He joined the Imperial German Army and took up the name "Hans Fischer".
1919, Germany.
Hans Fischer watched as the once proud German Nation fell. The Treaty of Versailles had brought an end to the War to end all wars, and the German Empire.
"Ugh. Another day in this Hell World..." Hans exclaimed as he went about his post-war day.
1922, Germany
Hans Fischer joined the National Socialist German Workers' party but was weary of the true intentions. The party, at the time he joined, was lead by Adolf Hitler, a man Fischer regarded as a very strange... Man.
1933
Fischer was present when the NSDAP took control of Germany, with Hitler as the Fürher. Fischer, do to his scientific background, was placed in charge of a secret project, under the command of General Heinrich Amzel.
Kristallnacht, 1938.
Fischer began to lose faith in the party in 1938, when they initiated "Kristallnacht" or the Night of Broken Glass, when SA soldiers attacked Jewish homes and businesses, going so far as to destroy Synagogues. The event scarred Fischer but not as much as what was to come.
Invasion of Poland, 1939.
With Hitler's plans to regain lost territory complete, the next phase was to conquer new land for the Third Reich.
"This is not war... This is savagery..." Fischer comments as he sees the German army massacre innocent civilians.
"I must return to Equestria, and escape this madness..." Fischer says as he begins his plan to return home.
August 21st, 1944
"And there you have it your majesty. A summary of how I ended up in this crazy army." Opel finished.
"Oh my, so these "Nazis" you're with are those who are against the savagery of war?" Princess Celestia asks.
"Yes, which is why I brought them with me here to Equestria." Opel replies.
"What about Daniel? Why him?" Celestia asks, puzzled about this whole thing.
Opel takes a moment to remember and continues.
"You see, when I captured Daniel and his squad I got to know them, sort of, almost all of them were just like the thugs I was forced to serve... They didn't care about the civilians who would die in bombing runs.. So on and so forth. Except Daniel. He believed that bombing runs should happen after the civilians were evacuated.
"Incredible, so now we just have to find the... Man... Behind these attacks on our kingdom." Celestia says.
"I already know where to start. The man we are looking for is General Heinrich Amzel, a member of the SS Deathshead division who stole my designs for an early teleportation device. He planned to use it to supply the Reich with weaponry from other universes... Unfortunately, all my teleporters were designed to end here in Equesria." Opel explained.
Celestia and Opel continued to talk about things.
Rosebud and Red Rose's Home.
Daniel tucked Rosebud into bed, giving her forehead a kiss like she was his little sister.
He heads back to his room but is stopped by Red Rose who has a concerned look on her face.
"Do you think that we'll be safe from those Nazi guys?" She asks.
Daniel gives her a hug.
"Don't worry Red Rose, you and your sister will be fine. But that's not what's really troubling you is it?" Daniel asks.
"No... It's just that Fischer guy... Somethings just off about him." She explains as she sits down on the hallway floor.
Daniel gets down next to her.
"Listen" he says "he is a good man... After all, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be staying with a beautiful mare and her lovable little sister now would I?"
Red Rose smiles. "No, I jus- wait.. You really think I'm beautiful?" She asks.
"Of course I do. You're kind, sweet, and innocent. But right now I want you to go to bed and let me do the worrying." Daniel says as he carries Red Rose to her bed.
After getting Red Rose to calm down, Daniel heads back to his room a goes to bed.

August 22nd, 1944.
Daniel was woken from his sleep by the sound of knocking on the door.
He opened it to see Hans Fischer standing there.
"It is time, my friend. We have located a hidden SS base in the BADLANDS and are preparing an all-out assault on it." Hans said.
"Okay. I'll grab my gear." Daniel replied.
Hans left and Daniel closed the door. He headed back to his room to ready himself for battle.
He grabbed his M1911 pistol, his Thompson Submachine gun, a combat knife, and a grenade.
He was about to leave but was stopped by Red Rose.
"You're leaving for battle... Aren't you?" She asked with a sorrowful look in her eyes.
Daniel picked her up and gave her a hug.
"Yes I am, but I'll be back." He said as he kissed her. He was aiming for her cheek but accidentally kissed her on the mouth.
"Mmph?!" Red said in shock.
He quickly released her from the kiss.
"I'm so sorry! I was aiming for your cheek!" He said.
"It's okay, besides I kinda enjoyed it... Not a lot of stallions.... Like me. They think I baby my sister too much..." She replied with a smile and tears in her eyes.
"Well I'll tell you what, since you and I are around the same age... Why don't we, ya know, when I get back?" He asked.
"That escalated quickly. But sure... I should warn you I'm still a virgin." She said.
He laughed and said "So am I! I wouldn't have brought up the idea of dating other wise!"
They both shared a laugh and one more kiss before Daniel left to put an end to the massacre of villages.
August 23rd, 1944, The Equestia Badlands.
The march towards the Badlands was long and hard. But they reached the outskirts by morning of August 23rd.
Hans and Daniel were leading the assault.
The attack was to commence at dawn. The primary objective was to kill Waffen-SS General Heinrich Amzel and destroy whatever war machines he built.
Their secondary objective was to destroy the base and bring in any enemy soldier who surrendered.
Tall order, but they were confident they could do it.
There were, however, somethings that stood in their way.
One. The Nazi's had tanks, jeeps, and trucks.
Two. The Nazi's also had strong defences consisting of Anti-Tank and Anti-Aircraft guns, MG-42 nests, and mortar pools.
And three. A top secret super soldier project.
At dawn, the attack is launched. Despite the small force of the attackers, they managed to breach through the enemy lines and reached the base.
"This is where the fun begins." Said Daniel as he and Hans prepared to breach the base doors.
The dynamite was placed, and after eight seconds it blew the doors off their henges.
"Go go go! To victory my comrades!" Hans shouted as the forces entered the Nazi base.
They fought hard against the defenders, the royal guard killed a large portion of Waffen-SS Soldiers.
Their main goals were in sight. Heinrich Amzel was going to die along with whatever he created.
"There he is! Daniel, you and me will take him. The rest of you, destroy all of these machines and round up as many SS as you can! Move out!" Hans yelled as he and Roebuck charged at Amzel.
Despite having the element of surprise, they were still forced into a fight with the sadistic Nazi General.
"You think you and your pitiful excuse for an army can stop the glorious Third Reich?! You are fools! I had expected this kind of move from an arrogant American... But you, Hans?" Amzel taunted as he pulled out his Walther P38 Pistol.
Daniel stabbed Heinrich in the leg and began fighting him, but was quickly pulled away by a muscular German super soldier.
"Hello, puny American!" The monstrosity taunted.
"Hans, you take care of Amzel! I'll deal with this son-of-a-bitch!" Daniel exclaimed as he grabbed his pistol.
Hans continued to fight Amzel while Danuel dealt with the Super Soldier.
Meanwhile, their soldiers planted charges on all the weapons and machines, and had also captured ten Waffen-SS soldiers.
As ordered, they blew the charges and escaped with their prisoners as they waited for Daniel and Hans to finish off Amzel.
"What was that?!" Amzel screamed as explosions and fires came all around him.
"That, "Herr" Amzel, is the sound of your plans being destroyed." Hans exclaimed.
Amzel jumped on Hans and attempted to strangle him, only for Hans to turn into his true self.
"Looks like my little charade is up. Allow me to introduce my true self. I am Opel Blitz." Opel said to a shocked, and bleeding, Amzel.
"Impossible!" Amzel shouted as he recieved a buck to the stomach from Opel.
"I... Always... Knew... You werre... Ah.... Scum!" Amzel said.
"Pony scum!" Opel smuggly added as he used his hindlegs to buck Heinrich Amzel in the head, resulting in a crunching sound and the death of the psychotic General.
"Mein Fürher!" Shouted the Super Soldier, moving his attention away from Daniel, who grabbed the Thompson and opened fire on the beast.
"Aurgh!!!!! Your puny weapons no match for my power! Die Allied Schwiennhund!" The Super Soldier exclaimed as he attacked Daniel again. Only to be stopped by Opel Blitz.
"This place is going to blow! Get out of here Daniel! I'll deal with this beast!" Opel exclaimed as he continued to tackle the Soldier.
Daniel nodded and left the soon-to-explode base.
"You are a fool! You only prolong the inevitable! All of this pathetic world will become a part of the Reich!" The Monster shouted as he threw Opel into the wall, crushing his back.
"I... Augh... Don't think so! For Equestria!!!" Opel shouted as he pulled the pin off a grenade and threw it at the beast.
The explosion, combined with the already exploding base, set off a chain reaction that caused the entire base to explode.
The huge explosion was witnessed by the ones who made it out, including Daniel Roebuck.
As he looked at the smoking ruin that was originally a Nazi Base, he sees a humanoid come out of the hole.
Upon closer inspection, it is the Super Soldier. Or, more accurately, the top portion of him.
Daniel walked up to the beast after it collapsed and shot it in the head with his Thompson. Leaving a headless and legless corpse.
"Alright, gents, lets go back to Celestia." Daniel said as he led them on their way back to Equestria.
August 24th, 1944. Canterlot.
Celestia held a ceremony to celebrate the victory against the Nazi Regime.
"I, Princess Celestia, hereby commemorate Daniel Roebuck for selflessness and bravery in the face of terror. And I post-humously award Opel Blitz Equestria's medal for self-sacrifice and duty to the end." Celestia said.
After the ceremony, a party was held to further celebrate this victory. The only person not there was Daniel who was looking up at the sky.
Celestia walked up behind him.
"Princess. Do you think he would have been happy if he were here to celebrate our victory?" Daniel asked.
"Daniel, I knew Opel better than anypony. He would have been very happy." Celestia responded.
Daniel just nodded in response.
"Oh by the way, Daniel," Celestia added. "Red Rose is waiting for you in the "Private" suite of the castle it's rude to keep a lady waiting." Celestia smirked.
Daniel smiled and said he would meet Red as soon as possible, and ran towards the "Private" suite.

Without warning, he jumped on the bed next to her.
They kissed each other vigorously, the sensation drove them wild.

Daniel, or Danny as Red Rose had taken to calling him, kissed Red on the lips.
After the wedding, Daniel received surprising news.
"Daniel Roebuck? I'm Helga Von Zepplin of ze Dusselhoof Express. I am here to prezent you vith zis." She said, in a rather thick German accent, as she handed him a letter.
"What's that Danny?" Red Rose asked.
Daniel stood there, mouth agape, looking over the letter.
It read:
Daniel, I am sorry that I was unable to make it to your wedding. I was tied up visiting some friends of mine in Dusselhoof. Anyways, before I tell you who I am, I want you to know this. They say that I was the first to invent a teleporter into another world... But what if I told you someone fron your universe, in the future, was the real first person to achieve the feat. I found this out right before the base exploded... A human picked me up in his arms and took me to safety. I didn't get his name, but he asked me what year it was so I told him it was 1944. He said he must have miscalculated something because he was from the year... 2018... Anyways, I got to go, maybe we'll see each other in the near future.

Underground laboratory. U.S.A. 2018. ... POV.
I returned from my test run of my invention, a teleporter to Equestria! It worked. All I have to do is work out the time issue and soon I'll finally achieve my goal that I've been attempting to reach since 2013.
"Mal, it may take some time but we should have the time-displacement issue fixed soon." One of the engineers said.
"Excellent." I responded. Today, I will make history!
